The pharmacy is extremely inefficient. There is always a huge line and the ladies working there are very inept. They never get your prescription ready beforehand. They make you wait. On multiple occasions, they have said it will be ready in 10 mins and by the time they finally handed me my prescription, its been more than half an hour. So make sure you have enough time and patience when you go to this pharmacy. read more

Let me say this I'll happily accept finally being targeted as a 5'2 freckled white girl, as I would rather it be me than someone African American but the guy literally stalked me aisle to aisle where it was so damn obvious and uncomfortable I walked right up to him and asked what his problem was. The pharmacy staff is either very disorganized or very incompetent. I had a prescription called in by my doctor 3 hrs before I went to pick it up, I was told they did not receive any prescriptions. After a bit of back-and-forth, I called my doctor's office. He confirmed he called in the prescription 3 hrs ago -- he spoke to the pharmacist himself. I was still on the phone with him when the pharmacy staff said, "Oh wait, here it is. We found it." Apparently the pharmacist had taken the prescription, and the paper was just sitting there for 3 hrs, and no one did anything with it. I had made sure my doc called it in in plenty of time for them to fill it before I came in so I would not have to wait. Apparently 3 hrs was not enough time for them to even realize a prescription had come in, much less fill it. I hope CVS corporate will pay attention to some of this feedback. This is a weak pharmacy, and it does their brand name no favors. read more

I refill my prescription here every few months or so. While I was waiting for my prescription, I decided to walk around and look at things to pass the time. Right? Totally normal.. One of the d' bag managers gave me a suspicious look and immediately alerted "camera security" to "stand by" over the intercom. He gave me this look like "Yeah, I'm on to you buddy." Eff you! I mean yeah, I had a beanie on and I may have looked a little thuggish, but it was The North Face; that's like a 30 dollar beanie, b*&ch! I gave this dude no reason to suspect anything. I thought of ways to show him how embarrassed and degraded I felt: 1) Pour my medication all over his face. I'd have to of course pick them up one by one because I need them to survive -- what an awkward way to make a point. 2) Drive a brand new Lexus up to the front of the store where he could see me. This little tactic would show that I have money and that I'd be a less likely candidate to steal ... I hate my POS Dodge.. Anyway, I ended up stealing a bunch of $hit, you know, because I felt obligated... No, not really. Their pharmacy isn't half bad. They give me my meds (only one, I'm not crazy) in a timely fashion, so two stars for that. What is hell? sitting on hold listening to the muffled music on their pharmacy line or standing in line waiting for a prescription? Take your pick - it happens every time. I am now on minute 17:44 waiting for my call to be answered so that someone can explain their text to me. I have no auto refills imminent, I did not take a prescription in to be filled or refilled. And I am sorry they have access to auto text since I'm sure they screwed this up as much as they screwed up my last two auto refills. Their text said "Please respond", so I responded. Their response was "Your pharamacist won't schedule Rx XXXX for you at this time." Well, how am I supposed to know what they're referring to (other than Rx)?? And to top it off they have installed Target-like self serve computers at the front of the store. Wow they get so put out if you don't want to use it - I guess they are anxious to go on unemployment since its their jobs being phased out. Well, after 25:14 minutes on hold Mr Rude finally asked if I'd been helped. I asked him what prescription they were referring to and found out it was one I can call in advance to have refilled. ARRGGGGHHHH This place is so poorly organized it would be laughable if it weren't so frustratingly stupid. Just you wait 'enry 'iggins, just you wait. New insurance will yield a new pharmacy, and the CVSrs will be in the unemployment line being asked if they want to do self checkout. read more

This is the worst pharmacy.Took a prescription there tonight and waited in line 30 minutes to place the order. Then waited another 30 minutes to pick up and it wasn't ready. People were complaining left and right. As I left the store (without my medicine) a woman was returning because her medicine wasn't mixed by the pharmacist. UPDATE: I contacted my health ins co and they told me that both CVS and Walgreens will charge you your minimum copay on a prescription--even if the med's actual cost is several dollars less. What do they do with the difference? They pocket it for themselves. Cheaper to go to Rite Aid, where they charge you the real, LOWER cost. ---- Not just incompetent service--downright rude service. I'd been patronizing this location for more than a year and a half, esp. since it's close to my doctor's office. I've had two knee surgeries, various ear or sinus infections, etc.--which means lots of meds for me and lots of money for them. The pharmacy and its staff tend to run slow and don't communicate to waiters when meds are ready. But yesterday takes the cake. It's a holiday weekend and I was going to run out of meds. My doctor called them, talked to a pharmacist about faxing an Rx that normally is required in person (he told them about new legislation that allows this), and then had his asst fax it over. I figure two hours is enough time for the pharm techs to get it done, and I show up and stand in the pick-up line for 10 minutes. I get to the counter and the ill-mannered clerk Brenda (who glares at me and barely speaks English) can't find it. Finally a pharm tech locates the fax, and gets condescending with me about how they need it in person. She dismisses me and walks away as I'm explaining that my doctor (a highly esteemed surgeon) has already talked to a pharmacist there hours earlier. So I stand there (on crutches and in a leg brace and in a great deal of pain--as am I NOT SUPPOSED TO STAND, which, if CVS employees were serious about their medically related professions, they'd have some sensitivity to) while I call my doctor's office on my cell. Luckily, they have not left for the holiday weekend. I get the doctor's asst on the line, and she has to wait 10 min. before a pharmacist with thick glasses and no bedside manner steps away from pill counting to talk to her. He argues with the doctor's asst, shoves my phone back at me, and barks at me to bring it in person. (Total standing time: 30+ min.) So I said I'd be back in 20 minutes and to go ahead and process the Rx--the same med from the same doctor they'd been doing once a week for the last 5 weeks. I return 20 minutes later with Rx in hand and they've done nothing. I wait another half hour. No pleasantries, no acknowledgments, no apologies. Adios, mediocrity. OVERCHARGING: I also discovered that with two generic meds I need monthly, CVS charged me $10 each while Rite Aid charges me $3.45 and $5.85 instead. That's about a 100% markup. Add that up over the course of months or years, and it's a huge waste. read more

I took the prescription to this CVS and it's a very common medication and they said it was not in stock. I asked for suggestions and they just said they didn't have it. I'd give this place a zero if yelp allowed me to. Customer service, if it can be called that, SUCKS!!!! I drop off a prescription for 4 meds last night for surgery that I am having. I ask Favia (Flavia - not sure how to spell her name) what the prices were for the 4 medications. She snaps back at me with attitude that she cant tell me until each and every one is run through the insurance. So i just say OK, and wait for her to do that. She eventually tells me the prices. She was likely cranky because she had not gone to lunch yet, which is what she told the other pharmacy representative at the register next to her. So of course she needs to take out her crankiness out on the customer!! I wake up today to a voicemail that one of the meds is out of stock and wont be in until Thursday AFTER MY SURGERY!! So i call the pharmacy to find out what happened and they tell me its out of stock, and that if i need it earlier then tomorrow, then i am going to have to call another pharmacy and get them to call her to give them the prescription. So why the hell did Favia not tell me the night before when i placed the order that they were out of stock!!???!?!? Probably because she was focused on feeding her ass!!! Who gives a crap about the customer!?! Not her! I talk to her supervisor, who is Robert or Andre the pharmacist- who give really give two shits about me. He had more attitude then she did! Which makes complete sense! CVS- you are not doing me a favor by letting me bring my prescriptions there. You suck! I will gladly take my prescriptions to a pharmacy where they give a shit about me. read more

They keep telling customers including me 10 more minutes for prescription fills, then when you arrive in 10 minutes to pick it up they respond with 10 more minutes and on and on. Horrible. Two nights in a row we've gone to get a very important prescription filled there. The first night the pharmacist (The Asian gentleman who works late nights) told us he was on break and and couldn't help us for an hour, which we didn't have, so my girlfriend called the next day and was told they are a 24 hour pharmacy and confirmed that her prescription would be waiting for her. At night we got there and were informed by the same pharmacist that they were closed for four hours for inventory. He claimed he wasn't being paid to be there. Finally convinced him to check for her prescription and he told us the prescription had been reverted to their store in New Jersey. When we spoke with that store they said that was ridiculous. The pharmacist at the Hollywood Way store wouldn't even give her a pill to carry her over until it was worked out. This was a serious health risk and Cvs seriously dropped the ball. The pharmacist's attitude was also bad. He claimed it wasn't their fault and the person on the phone told her wrong. He just kept rudely saying they told you wrong... they told you wrong. Doesn't that make it their fault? The whole experience was inexcusable. read more

Local, convenient, but swarming with homeless people. Occasionally, one will actually try and get your money by selling you their homemade crafts. Inside there is pretty much everything you could want, from breakfast food to gummy bears. The CVS gold label brand of sunflower seeds are way better than the frito lay ones. Lastly, it's hilarious how there is no set place to start a line when it gets kind of busy, so it's different each time, but there will always be somebody who "doesn't notice" so they cut right to the front. Props for the friendly cashiers who keep it real and don't call you sir. read more

Went to this CVS tonight and the cashier was picking his nose and actually eating his boogers, then he picked his teeth with his fingernails! Ewwwww! I was so grossed out that I immediately poured on my antibacterial gel when I got to my car! Been going to this CVS for decades! There's some really great old school staff that I love seeing when I come in and we always have nice conversations when Im checking out. We keep up with personal updates like how and what our kids are up to and how our day was. For the life of me I cant remember their names. I know, shame on me, my memory is bad. There is a really sweet female african-american checker who usually works in the evenings. She's helped me find products Im looking for I cant even tell you how many times (due to their somewhat constant and kind of annoying metamorphose of the store and location of items). She's always so warm and sweet with a bit of sarcasm which I love! Theres another hispanic gentleman checker who always has a smile on his face and makes me feel so at ease when there's a line of impatient customers waiting to check out. Thing is if you don't want to wait, move along to the self checkout. They have like 4 stations now for those that want to keep it moving with no personal connection and I rarely see them used. Seems a bit tricky to use them if your using coupons or extracare bucks but I haven't really tried enough to tell you if thats improved. He's efficient at his job and is able to multi-task. Theres an older British guy who's also very friendly and helpful. Everyone complains about the pharmacy but hey they are busy, its one of the only 24 hour pharmacies in the area so of course there are gonna be lines. First world problems I guess??? Theres a really sweet pharmacist who always checks me out and her name starts with a N I believe? Nasia or something like that. Anyway for the most part this is my go to CVS and besides one bad experience I had with a younger african-american guy that works there who always seems to have an attitude and gave me grief about returning a diaper cream product I bought which after opening I realized was the the wrong formula..(a cream instead of a gel), I don't have any complaints. He basically accused me of using half the product before returning which was NOT the case. He needs to work on his customer service skills for sure and learn from his elders who have been at this store for years! read more

This CVS drives me crazy. The pharmacy line is constantly an aisle long. There are homeless people outside bothering you for money 24/7. The regular check out line takes a lifetime. Everything in the store is overpriced by a few dollars. Before I begin this review here, I want to say that I use yelp often and this is the first review I have ever written. I decided to let people know how bad the service that this pharmacy is. Without any exaggeration they make more mistakes than an elementary student. I was told my prescription had a block on it bc it was filled this month. After much back and forth with the pharmacy technician, they corrected their mistake and agreed to fill my script. I was told it would be ready in 15 min. I had been waiting for 40 min for the prescription when I approached the counter again and asked for my prescription. They told me again to wait for 15 min. Keep in mind throughout this entire time they had no long line of patients nor were the pharmacy phones ringing out of control. The looks on the pharmacy employee faces expressed deep regret of working there. This is the kind of service you get from employees who hate their jobs. I called in advance to make sure i could get my RX filled at this location and the lady over the phone ensured me that they could fill my prescription! I drove 30 min to this location since it was the closest CVS that said they could fill my rx and when i got there they said they didn't have it in stock!! Ridiculous and a waste of time!! I called over 6 hours ago to refill a prescription, and I was told it would be ready in one hour. I completed my errands for the day, then stopped in to pick up the prescription. I was just now told that they have been out of stock this entire time. I wish I would have been informed of this when I called over 6 hours ago and was told it would be ready for pick-up in an hour. Amazingly bad, many times when I call to get a prescription they keep me on hold and then you can actually hear someone pick up the phone and disconnect the line. They seem to have trouble keeping my insurance information in their system so I go there and the prescriptions are in the $100's , one time the woman said after I asked why was it so high if I actually wanted it run through my insurance? Let's see $674.00 or $10 copay with my insurance??? It scares me these people handle medication. The over the counter shelves in the pharmacy area of the store are a giant mess. Most name brand products are missing on the shelves, while store brands are scattered about in a state of disorganization. They never seem to get additional stock or organize the products they have. Don't think you're going to be picking up anything quickly, the flippant and lazy attitude of the pharmacy employees is outrageous. One employee works the pharmacy counter while the others stand around laughing and joking, leading to long wait times. read more
