I called over 6 hours ago to refill a prescription, and I was told it would be ready in one hour. I completed my errands for the day, then stopped in to pick up the prescription. I was just now told that they have been out of stock this entire time. I wish I would have been informed of this when I called over 6 hours ago and was told it would be ready for pick-up in an hour. Terrible organization and communication in the pharmacy. To be fair, the rest of this CVS is wonderful if you need to get anything besides a prescription. read more

Dr. Azaria and his pharmacy team @ CVS are far above 5 stars!!! In 20 minutes, while multi tasking of course, he managed to fix what I have been attempting to solve over the last few weeks, a simple refill of eyedrops for my mom. The Pharmacy crew which were on duty on Tuesday, July 22nd @ 10am....Thank you soooooo much!!!! Amazingly bad, many times when I call to get a prescription they keep me on hold and then you can actually hear someone pick up the phone and disconnect the line. They seem to have trouble keeping my insurance information in their system so I go there and the prescriptions are in the $100's , one time the woman said after I asked why was it so high if I actually wanted it run through my insurance? Let's see $674.00 or $10 copay with my insurance??? It scares me these people handle medication. Oh and to top it off they lost my prescriptions that I turned in from the doctor and kept telling me I turned it in at a Santa Monica store, huh??? they kept insisting , I never even gone to the Santa Monica store. read more

His compassion and care mixed with speed and knowledge are unprecedented for CVS or any pharmacy I've used. Bravo!!! I had been to this location before in the past and it was nothing like the way it is now...a well oiled prescription filling machine with care and precision. Can't speak highly enough about the Minute Clinic here!!I loved being able to "hold my place" in line so I didn't have to sit and wait in person, and the check in process at the store was fairly quick. The doctor I had was so nice & very helpful and patient with all of my questions. She was great about only recommending what she thought would actually be useful, instead of trying to add on extra stuff like places do sometimes. Got me in and out quickly, which I appreciate. Overall had a great experience! Would definitely come back. Oh & I appreciate the bigger parking lot, way easier for me than street parking so that was also a nice bonus! read more

The store part is fine and has actually improved. But the pharmacy - worst ever - truly. Every time I think it can't get worse, it does. My insurance forces me here for any 3-month prescriptions. Otherwise, I stay away. The pharmacist would not accept a prescription yesterday and I was in a real bind. He was incredibly rude and told me "you can go somewhere else but no pharmacist will take this." I went to another pharmacy and filled it with no problem. Horrible customer service experience, but one that I've come to expect at this CVS. read more

The over the counter shelves in the pharmacy area of the store are a giant mess. Most name brand products are missing on the shelves, while store brands are scattered about in a state of disorganization. They never seem to get additional stock or organize the products they have. Don't think you're going to be picking up anything quickly, the flippant and lazy attitude of the pharmacy employees is outrageous. One employee works the pharmacy counter while the others stand around laughing and joking, leading to long wait times. read more

I've been to this CVS a few times and it's like a ghost town. There's nobody anywhere. You've got to roam around the store and look for one of their few employees on shift. It's really like a CVS kiosk shaped like a store. I don't know what the deal is with this particular store. They seem to have a decent selection of the most important items like toilet paper, etc., but I could probably take a nap in this store without someone asking me what I'm doing. read more

I don't know what the complaining is all about! I just had the most pleasant experience at the pharmacy.. It was memorial day and most pharmacies were closed. The staff and I mean every one of them were very helpful and courteous. They had my prescription ready in 15 minutes When I was picking up one of the pharmacists told us she'll be right with us even though there were only a few people in line They're definitely not understaffed.. Wow, don't come here for a prescription if you are feeling unwell, you might just die in line waiting. Absolutely the worst service I've ever seen. Even in the rest of the store when you try to check out it's always a long ordeal as there are never enough checkers and the self serve machines rarely are on. I guess they're there for aesthetics. Most the staff is nice except for the manager who can be stocking a few shelves near by and care less about the wait instead of helping. Gotta stock those shelves. I have also found him to also be rude in the past. On the plus side would be prices are a bit better than at a smaller pharmacy and parking is plentiful. Good for a last resort late as they are open 24 hours now. Maybe after that late snack run. read more

I have never actually written an online review for anything before...but this pharmacy is so bad, I'm taking the time to. I have lived up the road for about 18 months...and I don't know why I keep coming back. Every time, I call ahead to make sure everything is correct, and every time I get there, somethin is wrong and it's "it'll be about 20 mins". Even when I've called to check the day before! Soooo many mistakes. Maybe this time I'll transfer...or maybe I'll just keep going back for more punishment. Now, all that said, I'm not saying the associates are rude or anything...I've had some less than friendly experiences, but usually that part is okay. CVS employee Andre is not concerned nor does not care about the poor treatment of your customer given by people who say they don't work there. So, I'm 47 years old. Yes 47 yrs. And I could see the man(Big eyes in a mini uniform) behind the counter staring and eye balling me. He signals to come to his register. He then says he doesn't work here and the Worker Andre standing there laughing and smirking playing jokes on me this morning. I don't pay for that service and I don't buy that service. Some big eyed short man Standing behind counter staring at my whole body from head to toe. His eyes were so BIG. I didn't know if I had dirt on me or what. So as I get my item and I stand in the line this same weird guy is standing behind the check out register. So another guy standing behind the checkout register which looks like the manager named Andre. So the big eyed shirt guy raises his hand signal me to come to his register and as I come toward him he just doesn't say anything LAUGHING! he just looked at me real blank with a smirk on his face. Then he proceeds to tell me that he doesn't work there. I was very upset about it and I explained to the manager Andre that was standing at the register next to him and he did not act like he work there and he didn't even give me a concerned or an apology for the bs treatment! Waited over an hour in a half for my medicine. This place is horrible meanwhile I'm waiting in my car for antibiotics from the pharmacy when I get a text that it's ready. Now I'm waiting another 15 minutes to pick up. This place is a joke get more staff! read more

They are open 24 hours so when you get our of St. Joseph's ER you can get your meds. Don't go here any other time.

This is a BIG CVS and they have everything that you pretty much want from a CVS....they are really open 24 hours, so if you are in a pinch, or it's an emergency, you're set. The pharmacy is 24 hours too, but sometimes on a Saturday night (or Sunday morning) at 1am, they shut down their computer system and you can't get anything processed until the morning. Then I go to the 24 hour Walgreen's nearby, but further from our house. They do the best they can, that's all I'll say. Sometimes it's kind of a love-hate thing, you know? Also, the chairs in the waiting area by the pharmacy look like they need a good cleaning. read more

I would give them a higher score if it weren't for the fact that I get accosted outside for money every time I go there. I love the selection of cosmetics and lotions, etc here. But that's about where the compliments stop. First of all, there is ALWAYS someone from a homeless shelter/feed the children/help the disabled group outside begging for donations. They have never been aggressive or rude, but they are always there. It's uncomfortable to have to walk into the store and out of the store and refuse to give a donation. Why does the management allow this? I have friends that won't even go here because they hate the people standing outside asking for money. If I want to make a donation to a charity, I make a special point of it and think it's a worthy cause, not because someone is begging for it and I feel guilty not doing it. The pharmacy has problems. They either need to do some housecleaning and replace the entire staff, or get rid of the top dog - which is where problems usually start. Most of the staff is ho-hum apathetic and couldn't give a crap about you. Which is fine by me as long as I can come in, get my meds, and get out in a timely fashion. I always call ahead and use the automated system and have never had a problem, but sometimes the line is really long. I've never understood why pharmacies take so long to take a pre-packaged prescription (like birth control) shove it in a bag and stick a label on it., but whatever. Sometimes the line is like 10 people long, and only one person is working at the counter and five are milling around in the back (trying to figure out how to stick pre-packaged med in a bag?). The last time I was there, Harry, who has been mentioned before in these reviews, and who I've personally never had a problem with, was having some snide argument with another person in the pharmacy. At first I thought the couldn't find my bag, which I had called in the day before, because I heard him say something about 'her....waiting...could it be...etc.' to another pharmacist. But then he practically started yelling back and forth with one of the other people about 'you do it' and the other person called back 'no you check it' and he said something like 'that's not my job' and so on and so forth. The exchange was totally uncomfortable and unprofessional for me and the five people waiting in line. No one has ever been rude to me except the tall girl who draws on her eyebrows and she was also a total hag to one of my friends. I don't care if you are apathetic and don't care about your job. But I have places to be and things to do and fighting with coworkers slows you down, so knock it off and get my shit. I think the CVS upper management aught to hear about this departments bad behavior and make some drastic changes. The worst pharmacy ever! I miss the good ol' days when it was Sav-On. Never has there been a time - day or night - that the wait wasn't ridiculous. Worst service - computer rigmarole is now even longer and takes forever to check out ... push this ... sign in ... what's your number ... now push that ... now put in your cvs card ...now put in your credit card ... now sign this .. now sign for you credit card etc. etc. etc. I have gone back sometimes 4 days in a row trying to get my prescription that they keep saying is ready. i really do not know why everyone is so bitchy about the pharmacy. i come here all the time and no issues have came across. It is a 24hr. Pharmacy which means they will always be busy due to time convenience. no biggie if you need to call them a couple times , the vibe ya'll give is the vibe you'll get back. Understand that they are there putting up with a lot of b.s its not their fault the fax machine does not send them properly, understand that if your medication is that important it is worth the wait. i don't understand why you guys have to be so rude about it. thats just me tho. Wish I could give this place zero stars. Couldn't find a separate pharmacy listing for this CVS so i'm putting my review here. We go in to fill some prescriptions. On top of being rude and totally unhelpful (they are shouting to each other over who's next to take lunch), they tell us they're too busy and won't be able to fill the meds until the next day. This is with at least 6 people working and a few people in line. Fine. We have them run the insurance. They of course tell us nothing's covered, when in fact we know that everything is covered. So my wife gets on the phone with the insurance. We're told yes, it's covered, just have the pharm submit it and they'll approve. 15 minutes later, we get it resolved after finding out the dolt pharmacist keeps submitting it as if we are CASH patients. We get a call next day that everything's ready. We give them an extra day just for good measure. Only to find out, one prescription still needs to be ordered, and another one, they can't find!? They want us to wait at least 15 more minutes while they redo it. On top of it, they have you stand in the consultation line for 20 minutes for them to tell you the same thing that's on the bottle. Will never use this joke of a pharmacy again. I'd rather trust my next prescription to someone on the street. read more

CVS is the worst drug store...Never going back. Rite Aid now has my business. Pharmacists at CVS are incompetent and don't really care about anyone's health. They never have what I need in stock and they never have enough staff at check-out. The self-checkout machine are always broken also. Fire everybody, close the store, do something!! "24 hour" pharmacy, my ass. I went in to pick upy prescription and it's closed. Not everyone has a 9-5 schedule, holidays included. I checked online and it stated "24 hours" no mention of holiday hours. I ran out of time to pick up my prescription before work and came by afterwards to find it closed. So irritating, especially when you're on a schedule, expecting auto refills because it was last month, but magically not this month and had to call it in last minute. read more
