The pharmacy staff here are just rude. Understaffed 100%, but also rude. Slammed the window in my mother's face while she was inquiring about when she would be helped in the drive thru after 25min, and was told to either wait or just leave. If you're that understaffed and overwhelmed, then shut down the drive thru and put a note saying people can only be helped inside. read more

Got a message that my medication was ready. When I showed up to pick it up, the lady could not confirm my insurance. She had me get out of line so she could confirm it. Then a gentleman told me that I had to get back in line. Needless to say something that should have taken less than 5 minutes, took over 30. The staff is always nice so I don't want to put something bad about them. But today their gate didn't work in the pharmacy and so they're not helping people inside with needs. I have watched 8 elderly people walk to the back and have to walk out. Missing the sign because they only want to put one sign which is on the right so anybody walking on the left can't see. Pharmacy staff will ignore you on Sundays when you walk in to pick up a prescription, don't even say hi, just give you a dirty look and go about their other business. During the week they will usually say "Hi, we'll be with you in a minute" but don't usually get in a big hurry to help. The cashiers at the front will tell you to use the automated robots even if you are the only customer. read more

I don't think I have EVER had a bigger advocate for me then the pharmacists at CVS Canyon Lake. They fought with the insurance carrier and helped save me almost $3000 in prescription costs. You're better of going to Lone Star Pharmacy or even driving to HEB. Dr. called in a script for me yesterday and I still don't have my meds. My meds are pending for some reason and as of noon I still don't have my meds! Can't even set up on their app because they can't access any of my information and to try again later! . I'm normally not a 1 star gal, but drive to New Braunfels. We have had 2 VERY bad experiences here. Last year my husband (a type 1 diabetic) bought OTC insulin because it was after office hours and he ran out and needed a refill on his script. He went back to double check a few minutes after purchasing (near closing) to verify it was fast acting and they assured him it was fast acting. He got in the car and verified online and they were wrong! They had sold him slow acting insulin - could have killed him. By then everyone had clocked out and they didn't care. I ended up having to race to NB to an open pharmacy to get the correct insulin. Today, I picked up 2 glucose sensors for him. They had faxed the dr office for a refill. I got home and he stuck it to his arm and it would not connect to his device. They had given him the wrong sensor. I called and they said it was what the dr wrote, so we would have to take up the refund with the dr office and now we could not bring the unopened sensor and no, they would not give us a discount on the device to read it. They were incredibly unhelpful. Ambivalent. They don't seem to care if you live, die, have the wrong prescription, etc. Stay away! read more

Cvs has come a long way! For a few years I have had plenty of bad experiences. After a couple of years I decided to give them another try because they are closer to where I live. I was not happy about it, but decided to give them another try. I am blown away at the amazing progress they have made. The staff is friendly and they actually know who I am when I do business with them.?I want to shout out Renee! She went above and beyond to help my husband and I resolve an issue that we ourselves couldn't seem to address adequately. She is amazing and I hope they keep her there because from now on she is my advocate when Dr offices hired people who don't seem to be do their jobs professionally or or adequately. After numerous times of not receiving my husbands prescriptions when they say they have them ready, they always say 1 script was never sent it (which is not true, we've checked with his doctor multiple times). They do not fill the prescription when they receive it, they do not have them filled when you get a text they are ready, and they do not fill them when u drop off the prescription. I talked to the Manager David Ono about why they missed expectations 4 days in a row and allowed me to suffer without the expected meds instead of telling me they can't? Drive thru and walk in pharmacy, buying the essentials for my little kids school projects, all my beauty products and there is always someone so sweet to help me get in and out without a problem. Mainly it is the female pharmacist that is the issue . I had to return 4 times in order to get my prescription and get it as I asked for it . This is a pharmacy with questionable practices they fill prescriptions at whim fill prescription one week then argue it's invalid the next time you try to fill it my son is been receiving the same prescription 8 years from the same doctor the same way every month and now suddenly there's an issue because the prescription didn't have his date of birth on it not that the doctor didn't sign it not that it wasn't legible not that it wasn't a valid prescription but they refuse to fill the prescription for the simple fact that the doctor forgot to write his date of birth this is never been an issue before but suddenly today his prescription is now an invalid prescription read more

A frustrating incompetent waste of time, money and effort. Time after time they have multiple layers of errors, and you will watch your life slipping by while trying to fill a prescription with these guys. Often they read the information wrong on the computers other times they can't tell if a refill prescription is needed and don't know how to request a refill from the Dr,, another time they failed to order a drug, yet told me it was ready for pick up, when I went to pick it up they told me they hadn't even ordered the medication yet! When they finally got it in and I went to pick it up, they said they gave the medication to someone else and they will have to order it again. That one took over 2 weeks worth of errors and calls and trips in before they could completed it, nearly missed my flight...other times they dispense the wrong medication and make incorrect substitutions...the list goes on and on, etc.. An example of today's fun.. went to pick up a prescription that should be ready, and I asked for it specifically by name, I was in a state of bliss as I drove away thinking they finally got one right! But NO. The lady misread the computer and thought the prescription that I asked to pick up was picked up already so without saying anything she decided to randomly take a completely different unrelated prescript and fill it. Evidently, this pharmacy thinks all drugs are interchangeable! I didn't find out until I got home and realized the switch, to make it even worse she gave me one that is on my allergy alert list, its one that I am allergic to! (Doc made an error and called it in, but isn't the pharmacy supposed to check the contraindication and allergy list before dispensing)? Don't expect this pharmacy to catch any errors, although they have lots of practice in making them....shoot they are not to be trusted to fill the most basic prescription without blundering it. I was told I'd have to keep this wrong prescription but I can drive back in to try and pick up the one I need! UGH thanks. SIGH. Their layers of errors are like layers of an onion...they will both make you cry. read more

The problem I'm having with the CVS in Startzville, Texas is that they are allowing some solicitors representing DARE to solicit money under the pretense that it is benefiting Comal County DARE. I have spoken with the Sheriff's Office of Comal County, Texas and they don't receive a cent from this solicitation.
