I went by on the recommendation of my chiropractor for a supplement to deal with shoulder pain. They suggested a product by Synovx. I nearly dropped when I heard the $50+ price, but their confidence in the product led me to try it. It's worked miracles for me, and I've told so many others that I've lost count. A few weeks later they solved another problem for me with a special formulation of magnesium prescribed by my doctor in a lower dose than I could find elsewhere (including Whole Foods Market). It was just what the doctor had ordered, and I didn't have to split pills and worry if I should have. And, to think I almost didn't go here because I'd sized them up as an overpriced, small town shop. You can pay less, and you can guess at what you need at the big box stores, but there is a value in knowledge and service. As far as pricing goes, I've actually priced the identical products at a holistic pharmacy chain in Austin and found I would've wasted the dollar or so savings in gas alone. Although I don't have any experience with their pharmacy, I understand they compound prescriptions. Last time I tried doing that with their three letter competitor, I got lost in the shuffle somewhere in San Antonio and wound up waiting 5 days for my medication. (This is a co-owned sister to the B&J Pharmacy in San Marcos, so if you're closer to that location, you can feel confident that you'll find the same products and get the same great service as at Wimberley.) read more

This pharmacy is a small town gem.. my senior dog started having seizures suddenly and Dr Ferguson from Wimberley Vet Clinic gave me a prescription for meds which was filled right away..They are knowledgeable and have a great variety of holistic supplements.. also got some CBD chews which helped with sleep.. highly recommend.. read more

Not the same, something changed. Been going there for over 7 years, great service and staff. LateLy not so, something's changed , not the all the same staff and at least one new person is not at all like all the others. This person, who seems to be in charged is very different and not in a good way. This person is very confrontational and down right rude. Quit going to those big box conveniency stores that they call Pharmacies and quit trying to get your medications filled at a grocery store! These folks are a Real pharmacy. Local business benefiting local citizens. They are full of fun-loving folks who take the time to care for you, interact with you, laugh with you and cry with you. They understand what they are doing, are quite fast with all the pharmicists working here and don't have some large company policies from a state time zones away from you that don't allow you to be treated well. If you have a prescription, go here! They have a cool fish tank to look at if you choose to wait as well as nice seating and other things to do if you don't want to talk to them while you wait. read more

Great pharmacy! If you have never visited Wimberley Pharmacy you have not lived, not well anyway. This pharmacy and their workers are very knowledgable in wellness and homeopathic care. I came in to get a sleep aid and was introduced to several products that would meet my needs but also a discussion in how your brain processes serotonin and turns it into melatonin. The pharmacy assistants are well versed in the natural supplements that provide homeopathic care and work well with your lifestyle and goals you are trying to achieve. My parents have been going to this pharmacy since moving to Wimberley and they sing high praises of the Pharmacist/Owner as he monitors medications and have helped my mom and dad with providing a more natural path to healthcare. A Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Place to try to get a prescription filled. On Friday afternoon, our vet called about getting two compounded prescriptions for our very sick kitty. The pharmacy said that whoever is qualified to squirt fish flavor into some doxycycline and some prednisone was out for the weekend. The vet, who I am also not real happy with, said that the other option was mail order. Either way, probably Monday before we could get the medicine. Come Monday afternoon, Wimberley Pharmacy left me on hold for half the day, but my wife got through and was told that they didn't have the doxycycline, but we could go to San Marcos to their affiliated store and get it there. Well, why can't we get both there? Because San Marcos doesn't have the prednisone! Living halfway between Wimberley and San Marcos has many advantages. One of them is not having to make a trip to each to treat a sick cat! Sure, we could have waited yet another day for the San Marcos store to deliver antibiotics to the Wimberley store, but she's been sick for three days already. It seems like instead of two stores, they maybe have a half store in each place. I'll never let anyone call in another prescription here for any creature I love. Humans beware, caring at this place seems nonexistent. read more

GREAT PHARMACY, GREAT PHARMACIST, GREAT STAFF. Seriously. After a nightmare at the HEB Pharmacy, I headed over to Wimberley Pharmacy. I was met with a smile.. very helpful, professional, fast and knowledgeable staff. Everyone there was wonderful. My med was filled and they helped me find a coupon.. Even before they added the coupon, it was still cheaper than HEB. HEB couldn't figure out the coupon... ugh. I was in and out quick. Don't go anywhere else. You will be disappointed. Friendly helpful service as I was looking for vitamins. Did not try to oversell me, and was quick to point out a line of vitamins that was highly recommended. Seems like they have several brands so there are several to chose from. Being new to the area, the lady behind the counter kindly listed several Dr's in the town that are frequently used by customers. Overall good service. Small selection of gifts and cards, cards could be better though, they are mostly corny photographic ones, but will do in a pinch if you can't find any in the post office across the road... read more

This place is great! The pharmacy itself does a booming business, but I am fortunate that I do not utilize prescriptions often. I do however rely on Wimberley Pharmacy for many of my health and even beauty products. They have very high quality vitamins and supplements. They have a line of products called Derma C that is the best skincare line I have ever used. I buy many products 2 at a time I am so happy with them. Let me say this much: the people who work at Wimberley Pharmacy are the kindest, gentlest, most dedicated and extraordinarily knowledgeable people who continually make me glad I moved to this wonderful village in the Texas Hill County. Admittedly, I have been ill for several years and have come to rely on pharmacies, pharmacists and their staff to either provide my medications or educate me about them. Several staff members here have spent, literally, as much time as necessary talking me about medications, vitamins, supplements (of which they are seriously well-stocked), and never once have I felt like a burden, or that my questions added up to annoyance. These guys Care, they really really do, and as far as I can tell, caring, really giving a damn about your work and your customers, is what separates the goodness and charm of a small town pharmacy from any of the poorly-lit conglomerates. On the rare occasion they do not have a medication in stock, it is usually in the following day; and the one time I needed a medication most urgently that was unavailable, they saved me the time of calling all around the area, located it for me, and transferred the script - all in under an hour. On a personal note, this is the kind of store you walk into and everyone knows your name: you walk through the door and immediately start waving, saying hello, and if there's time, talk a little about life. This isn't just a great pharmacy with an incredible staff (although it is that), it's a wellness center in its truest sense, and whatever your ailment may be, whether prescriptions are needed or something over the counter, they are experts whose aim is to improve your quality of life. In closing, I sincerely trust everyone there with my health. I don't use this word very much, but this pharmacy, for me, has been quite a blessing, and I'm grateful.
