Prescription ready as ordered and ready in short time. I use them for my eye drops. The extra distance is worth the trip.

I'm tired of waiting 30-40 minutes at Walgreens ( whether in line or drive through) so moved to a small pharmacy. Have had great experience at this pharmacy. I always get my medication immediately or if I have to wait it is never more than 5 minutes. They have a drive through window and when I have my pups they get a treat. Closed on Sunday and until 3pm on Saturday. But short hours aren't a problem at this point in my otherwise healthy life. read more

I have been a customer at Gruene Road since the opening. Andrew used to have an amazing business and I have always sang praises. That has changed terribly over the past few years. Staff is always impatient, rude and wait times are lengthy. Today was the last straw. After extensive dental work, I waited an hour for 2 scripts to be filled. It was not busy and even though they knew I was waiting on site and in pain, it still took an hour. I will no longer use GRP. read more

It was good, right up until it wasn't. Had a question about if a prescription had been dispensed correctly. The person behind the counter opened my bottle of pills and dumped a couple into her BARE HAND. Golly yes, I was surprised. That would have been unacceptable any time, but more so this past 18 months. She then dropped a pill on the floor. And then decided she needed to move her activity and my bottle of medicine down the counter out of my sight. Which is when I insisted she come back in front of me so I could keep an eye on things. Moved my pharmacy needs to Sam's Club a few days later. read more

I cannot day enough good things about this pharmacy. I travel from Kyle to use this pharmacy over any other. They always have my meds, if i request a certain brand or color etc, they do it and do it happily. The drive through is very convenient and seeing that they have your scripts ready in minutes it makes it so worth my long drive. I would never use a Walgreens or cvs or heb pharmacies ever again as long as this one is in business. Those guys order only the cheapest meds to save their business a few bucks here and there. Not gruene, they order and sell what the customer wants. Love this small business. I have been using them for years and have never had a bad experience. I just with they would open a location closer to Kyle because we don't have any localized pharmacies like this. If there was a way to give 6 stars i would. read more

Received my J&J vaccine months ago and scheduled an appointment for the booster. Gruene Road accepted the appointment but when I showed up, they told me no because it hasn't been six months. Per CDC guidelines, two months is all that is required for J&J. I know many people who have had theirs prior to six months. Made my appointment and went elsewhere. I called again to Gruene Road to verify and the pharmacist did not come to the phone but the girl who answered said the same thing about six months. Sad that they are turning people away. When I got home, they sent an email stating my appointment was canceled "due to a vaccine shortage". I just don't trust them now and won't be referring business there. read more

Our 4 year old son has a neurological muscle movement disorder. It effects his swallowing, ability to cough, coordination and who knows what else. He has a prescription for muscle spasms that he has taken since he was about 1.5. We recently moved from Mckinney tx. and brought the script to your pharmacy to fill. Your pharmacist was unwilling to jump through a couple of (easy) hoops to ensure that this compound was made exactly as it was at our previous pharmacy. My son can not physically swallow chalky liquid and needed to have the formula tweaked as our previous compounder had done. Your pharmacist told me that she would NOT order the formula book needed to make his med. This compound book is 60 dollars. She denied us personal service. She said they do not add sweetener to any of their compounds. She said, they could, but they don't. Children with special needs are just that. They have special needs and your pharmacy left our very young son without the ability to eat or drink because your pharmacy didn't want to order his formula. She said that there are many children that are using "your' formula successfully. Most children that take this med are given it via a feeding tube so it doesn't matter what the consistency is. I truly believe that she is inexperienced pharmacist and hasn't had many pediatric clients that require personal attention. I just wish she would of stepped up to the plate. We called our pharmacy in north Texas and they (without hesitation) filled his script and shipped it next day. Our pharmacist said it took her 6 or 7 tries to get his formula correct when they first started filling it. Gruene pharmacy did not know how to provide us with what we needed. Too bad! Editing to say that I have NEVER been lead to leave a bad review before but everything is different when your inadequacy effects my child. read more

First, let me just get this out of the way if you're only going to read a few sentences: Gruene Road Pharmacy is, hands down, the BEST pharmacy I've ever been to! I guess I'm a masochist because before today I've been using HEB pharmacy for far, far too long. And every single time I filled my prescriptions there or picked up, or anything prescription related, it was a nonstop headache! It was never easy. There were always problems. And they think they know better than your own doctor! Let me just say, if you're trying to decide between HEB pharmacy or Gruene Road Pharmacy, pick the latter! As soon as I walked into GRP, it was like a breath of fresh air. And so, so EASY. I waited for only 10 minutes (while watching The Office, which they had playing on their TV, awesome bonus!) and like magic, I got my medicine. No issues! For someone who's had problem after problem after problem with HEB pharmacy, I am so relieved and happy my doctor recommended this pharmacy to me. Locally owned pharmacies are the way to go! The customer service and level of care is so much better than anywhere else I've been to. read more

I am disabled and have to call to refill my scripts. I called end of September and asked that all of mine be refilled as I was thinking of changing insurance plans. I got 4 scripts out of the dozen I actually take so they dropped the ball on that, one of them being a substitute for Lidoderm patches for which they charged me $39/3 boxes, copay. This junk they gave me is made by MYLAN! Yep, the same people who raised the cost of the Epi pen from about $12 to over $600!! i refuse to use this garbage. A Lidoderm patch is basically a piece of fabric with a pain releasing gel on one side that is stuck to the area of pain. What MYLAN makes is in essence a piece of saran wrap with this gel on it. Since i use these to quiet my painful areas so I can sleep there is no way this junk will work. You wake up and the plastic has come unstuck and can be found anywhere in your nightclothes or bedding. Clearly they will not serve the function designed for them. As for medication, I have not noticed any in this product. The hospital tried to give me these and I refused. There just isn't any pain relief. When I tried to return them, I was given some kind of BS that they had to be returned in 7 days and I was a few days past that limit. Well, folks, I have a broken leg. I don't get around much. I am also trying to run my business by myself and we had a huge festival in Gruene this past week that required a lot of my time, so I didn't get there in their reputed time frame (which has never been mentioned). Since the product was returned in an unopened box, and it cannot be damaged by air, there was no reason not to give me this refund and give something I can use. I also have had issues with some of the meds I get from them, and I suspect they are not full strength. How often does the FDA investigate the quality of medicines? I don't know. I do know that I had to take 5 omeprazole 40 mg in one day to get over my acid reflux! Previously I was on 20 mg until these folks started filling my meds. So there is that. And as for service, I am never sure I am speaking with anyone over the age of 12 when I call in. I get the silliest remarks and never feel as if I have been heard. They just shove the IPad into my face to sign and there isn't even a price quoted. They charge me over $100 for a prescription once and I didn't even realize it until I was almost overdrawn on my checking account since my debit card was on file. This is not the first time I have had issues with them. I have tried to support my local business. This one seems to be run by kindergartners, and I am not sure the quality of the medicines is good. WHy else did my leg break, since I was on bone strengthening meds? Maybe they were chalk too. read more
