Well, it's there and possibly has what you need, but it's definitely a dated store without much "extra". I needed packing tape and thought I'd take the opportunity to go to CVS as they carry two specific products I wanted to get (Elle & Mila nail care and an electrolyte drink). They did have packing tape but only Sally Hansen nail polish. I seriously only saw one brand of nail polish! Just had the standard electrolyte drinks, not the one I wanted. I would have grabbed some ELF moisturizer too but it was all locked up. ELF!! On the plus side the cashier was so nice. The woman in front of me was using coupons and such and the cashier was just really nice to her and didn't seem annoyed or like she hated people. So that was the nicest part. read more

Getting jabbed with a needle has never been easier. I enjoy this CVS. It's not the newest or fanciest, although they have recently renovated. It's where I pick up any medication I need for the house and the people at the Pharmacy are nice. Get all your typical CVS items here along with the mile-long receipt. Self-checkout rules the front. No need for human interaction so if you catch me in here with my sad, Founding Father, low ponytail and wearing my glasses, no you didn't. ;P read more

Extremely disappointing experience. I was picking up pain medication for someone who had just gotten out of surgery at 2-3 in the morning. I was the only customer there, yet I still waited over 30 minutes. There were two staff members behind the counter, but the main employee was moving at his own pace with no urgency whatsoever. When I asked questions, he was unhelpful. There's no excuse for that kind of service when someone is in pain and you have zero other customers to attend to. read more

Wow.. just wow. Half of staff is completely incompetent. Others (the good ones) are too busy to help with customers I suppose.. I called in for the first time after a medication was on back order at my typical pharmacy. I spoke to someone they started a transfer as they luckily had the medication. They assured me once they spoke to someone at the other pharmacy they could start preparing it for me & I was busy after work that day so I came by the following morning. That morning at 9 am I guess they didn't have it ready and said it was because the other pharmacy wasn't open yet & they couldn't finish it the day before. okay I get that.. I let the woman know that was fine and that I'd come back after work but that I needed it by 7pm that evening because it is a detrimental seizure medicine, a controlled substance that can't be called in too early so it's a time crunch. She said no worries that they had plenty of time. Yeah that's 10 hours to get prepare something you already have on deck and to simply transfer paperwork. So why the F is it that when I show up.. I'm faced with someone that couldn't find my account, couldn't find any info on the transfer and shrugs when I ask her what I'm supposed to do. This young woman working the pickup line named Nyellie needs a complete recap on customer service. All people need is a solution especially when dealing with detrimental medications and when the problem is communication on your own team... This location is unorganized and I'm sure some of the staff that actually knows what they're doing is overcompensating for others. CVS- DO BETTER AND TRAIN YOUR STAFF! On top of this I had been pushed to the side to deal with a "lead pharmacist" that for one didn't write down the correct license and information of my personal vet. They had all day to call for the transfer and that's the problem.. they didn't. You'd think when someone shows up and has to come back they'd get it right. They didn't even know what I was talking about when I arrive yet their was a paper with my information on it on their desk.. soo THIS PLACE NEEDS HELP.. this is a 24 Hr location and it could be the best, you'd think everyone would want to come here. You would think that working in healthcare would instill some attention towards patient communication and company accountability within these people, but I guess not. This CVS has always been a little exasperating, as they are literally allergic to picking up a phone call, but today really takes the cake in terms of employee rudeness and incompetence. I had been trying to refill a medication for the past 2 weeks, but it was consistently out of stock until several days ago. I was out of town when it was refilled, but as soon as I came back into town (which was only a couple days later), I immediately headed over to the pharmacy to pick it up. I did not receive a text message indicating any issues with my prescription, so I was surpised to hear that my prescription had been wiped. A very rude older man, some sort of supervisor I assume, informed me that my prescription had expired a couple days ago, and my medication had been put back. When I informed him that I had tried to refill the medication well before the prescription expired and that I had not received any communication from the pharmacy regarding the urgency of me picking up this prescription, he told me that I should have tried to refill it earlier. When I informed him that this was a medication to be taken as needed, so I wasn't really negligent in not refilling it before I needed it, he was dismissive and refused to admit that there was any fault on behalf of the pharmacy. At no point was there an apology about the fact that the pharmacy did not send me a message regarding my prescription expiration/medication cancellation or even a shred of common human compassion about how I had been inconvenienced. The fact that I had to drive over and confront these people face to face in order to get any information about my medication is such a massive waste of my time and energy. If there is literally any other pharmacy near your home, please go there- the disrespect and condescension from some of these employees is truly astounding and, in my opinion, an insult to the idea of a "friendly neighborhood pharmacist". read more

There are numerous employees here whom are extremely disrespectful and condescending. The 2 most notable being these 2 men, who are in their mid 40's most likely. I have seen them each plenty of times and every time I have the displeasure of interacting with them, they're always rude. On top of that, the wait times at this place are ridiculous. If I'm going to wait 30 minutes in store to even be acknowledged, you guys need more staff. Oh my word. I have had to use the store across the street for 5 yrs due to insurance, so have not been in here in a while. This store has gotten worse since my last review. Made a flu shot appt on their app. Got here after checking in on phone. They were confused and not expecting me. Lady stared then kept doing what she was doing and not greeting me at all. She finally said she was new. No smile, no apology. Really bad customer service on her part. The other lady came over and was more pleasant and I guess checked me in? They didn't know how to process me. I waited and waited and am still waiting now 47 minutes later. Had to make a call. They took a later appt before me because they got them processed fine. When I asked the pharmacist for a status update, he did not apologize and acted as if I and my question were an annoyance. Said he hadn't done one like me in 5 years. Typical CVS that has most of everything you would need from home to bath to medicine. The placing of the items is a bit messy so therefore it's not super intuitive where your items might be, but once you find the section, there is a good selection of everything. The checkout process is quick and the staff is friendly. The entire place is also clean and bright. read more

CVS get your stuff together. Dobson/ Southern said pick up the script at Dobson/ Warner. Arrived at 7:26pm girl said she saw it in the system but was not ready wrote down my wife's cell and we got some food. 45 minutes later we came back and inside pharmacy closed at the counter but open drive through (line was 17 cars long) waited 37 minutes before the FIRST CAR LEFT. Got to the window 1.5hrs later and they had no record of my wife's script but later a (blue scrub tech) told us it was "in Process" at the closed location we just came from. gentleman said "Absolutely no way to clear it and he's not giving us options he's say in the AM we must return and clear the code from their system". Watched the vehicle in front of us with a Very Sick child get out of the truck several times crying and visibly in stress (maybe asthma) and after 70 minutes drove out of line. You have been warned. I hope the power that be guilds your eyes to this experience and saves you the trauma of going to urgent care at 5:30pm and arriving home at 10:28 with ZERO options for my wife in excruciating UTI pain. I feel a sizable legal action brewing for this kind of patient care practice. I spend $50k a month on medical insurances month for my staff and they have choices. This is not it. read more

This pharmacy is horribly understaffed. Allen (the manager) needs to schedule more pharmacists and pharmacy techs per shift. I had to come back to this location 5x before getting my prescription filled. Every time I visited this location, there were 3-4 staff on shift. THAT IS NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE. One guy lied to me and said my prescription would be ready in the morning and to come back. (mind you, this is a 24hr location and is one of few in the phoenix area that you can visit after normal hours) I overheard him discussing with a coworker that they were out of my prescription. Instead of them telling me they were out & letting me make the choice of trying another CVS to get it sooner, they told me to come back in the morning and it would be ready. Turns out they were out of stock and wouldn't have it for 3 more days. This started a wild goose chase to get the prescription, calling many other CVS (they were out of stock as well) It is a poorly run business ran by a man who simply does not care. If he did, then he would rethink the way the pharmacy does business. Does CVS really need to cut costs so much that they are only putting 3-4 people on shift?? It is ridiculous. 1 Pharmacist who fills the prescriptions and answers calls. (7 people were on hold the entire time I visited and none of the calls got answered the entire 20 minutes I was there) 1 Pharmacy Tech on drive-thru window 1 Pharmacy Tech at BOTH drop off and pick up windows (in store) If you're lucky, 1 Pharmacy Tech who moves the already filled prescriptions to their designated area. The staff have WAY TOO MUCH pressure on their shoulders. Some staff are friendly and try their best to fill each prescription, knowing that they are dealing with the health and well-being of patients. (Olivia and CJ helped me more than anyone else. They listened and cared) Other staff are frantic, non-communicative, and are not concerned with the patients. This is most likely due to them being so SHORT STAFFED. *CVS IS THE NUMBER ONE PHARMACY THAT AMERICANS USE* *THIS LOCATION IS 1/5 IN THE AREA THAT IS 24HR* *THIS PHARMACY FILLS 1,500+ PRESCRIPTIONS A DAY (60+ per hour)* *PEOPLE FROM PHOENIX, MESA, TEMPE, CHANDLER, GILBERT, and MORE RELY ON THIS CVS FOR THEIR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING* At the end of the day, CVS is responsible for people's lives. I'm a Nurse Practitioner. I called to get my own prescriptions settled, and waited 45 minutes on the line. The person on the phone was rude, refused to introduce herself, and when I stated I had waited 45 minutes after I was first put on hold she said "too bad; that was your choice." I said you put me on hold telling me you would be "right back" to take care of me. No answer except an angry "I'm the only one doing this, so you should be happy I'm even on the phone." Wow. "So I simply said: If this is the way people are treated, I will not recommend that I send my patient's prescriptions here." She then says: "Good! We don't need them! We have too many already anyway!" Are you kidding me? I spoke with the pharmacist, her name is Alyssia. She should be fired. read more

Just came back from the last of several extremely poor interactions here. I genuinely feel bad for the employees, but the situation here is just unacceptable. Just now, went to the store to get a COVID vaccination booster for our son (we made the reservation a couple of weeks ago and have text notifications set up), and they are not able to give them anymore because THEY RAN OF USED SHARPS CONTAINERS?!?! Are you kidding me? Apparently corporate told the people at the pharmacy that they would cancel the appointments and notify people, which of course, never happened. So they turned us away to find our own solution. From lost prescriptions, to never answering the phone so the only way to communicate with anyone is to go in (and stand in a God-awful long line), to being so overwhelmed that there are boxes and boxes of scripts sitting in the aisles because there is no one to unpack them. It's so bad at this point that every health care provider in the area knows about this CVS now, and you can see them roll their eyes when you say you want the prescription to go there. They've also become much more resistant to helping fix any prescription issues there because they know it is just a giant timewaster and often doesn't resolve the issues. There are so many unhappy customers here that berate the employees that they are completely de-sensitized to it now, and they just shrug when you tell them that something is wrong, even if you do it nicely and constructively. We are a little stuck because our insurance covers things much worse if we don't use CVS, but at least at a minimum we probably need to try a different location (further away) because this one is just in such a sad, broken state, that I really think they need to pitch in the towel and start over. I honestly don't think the bad cycle of complaints to poor response by employees to more complaints can be broken at this point. There's just too many ticked off customers. Unfortunately my sincere advice is to stay away. If you absolutely have to use this place, either go right when they open, or in the early weekday afternoon when the lines are shorter. UPDATE: So to top this off... so we took our son to the Costco Pharmacy to get the COVID booster since CVS turned us away. We got a call from the Costco Pharmacy shortly after we were done, saying that our insurance had denied the coverage because CVS had processed the claim even though they didn't administer the booster!!! So now we're having to go back and unwind this. When I was young I remember my father having some saying about JHC and a popsicle stick.... I'll be candid and say that I have some more colorful language in mind to describe today's interaction, but I'll save everyone here from my tirade as it's pretty pointless. read more

Around 7:30 pm 1/2/24 I waited 30 mins for someone to come up to the front counter, I went to the pharmacy for them to call someone to the front just to get back up there and have the CVS employee to completely ignore me and proceed to take 3 people who were behind me and refused to acknowledge me. I didn't understand why he was treating me this way until he proceeded to turn to a customer and say that ni**er can wait, she's not even buying anything. (I was dropping off an Amazon return for my mom) completely shocked I then asked him for his name and a way to contact management and report what he said which he refused to give me both. He then turns to me and says I don't have to give you anything stupid bitch I am the manager. I CAN NOT BELIEVE CVS WOULD ALLOW SOMEONE SO RACIST, SO DISRESPECTFUL TO BE THE FIRST FACE YOU SEE AT THE REGISTER WHEN YPU GO IN. This pharmacy is so frustrating to deal with. If you try to call, you can end up sitting on hold for 15+ minutes, only to have someone pick up the phone and hang it up. You have to strategize when you go to pick up your prescription otherwise you can be waiting for on average, 30 minutes. The WORST experience I've with a pharmacy. Trying to get my acutane prescription and they falsely filled it and so I was unable to receive the medication and blamed it on a "computer glitch" but they did this TWICE, and this nightmare process took over five days to go through. Also they lied and said I a secondary insurance which I don't have and tried to blame all their issues on me because of their incompetent pharmacists. I canceled my prescription and went somewhere else because of how incompetent they were. I'm not sure how these people have jobs they are incredibly rude, long wait times on the pharmacy phone and truly are terrible at doing their job with a bad attitude on top of it. This CVS location is THE WORST! They never have my prescriptions ready even when I call them in 2 days prior. They always loudly announce what my medication is, which is nobody else's business (and probably violates HIPPA). If you go in the store, it's disheveled and filthy. I finally decided to move all of my prescriptions to another location. Poor management. read more

For some reason the system set up my appt at the wrong time and the staff were so helpful. They got me checked in and in and out at a descent time. They were very caring and hard working for only having 2 people behind the counter and a pretty deep line. I would recommend this place for a vaccine. read more

I stopped in here to pick up a few items yesterday and as soon as I stepped into the store, the lady behind the counter asked what I was looking for. I didn't feel welcome to browse at all - I felt like I had to report to her my shopping list. She directed me to certain areas of the store and this CVS had only one item on my list, so I bought it. Upon checking out, I realized that Ryan, who checked me out, had overcharged me by 50 cents. I asked about it and they fixed it immediately but what a big hassle. I've never really been pleased with this location. My prescriptions are never ready on time. I get it, people get busy...But when you say 15 minutes and it's then hours later, not cool. I get texts that things are ready when they actually aren't. I know I've taken a while and things have been put back, but it's not that case every time. I went in today and they never filled a script my doctor sent in a couple days ago. Not to mention their drive thru window takes 10 years! Even for someone who's prescriptions are ready at time of pick up. Once some steroids I NEEDED weren't ready when they said they would be, which was a little over an hour after my doctor had sent them in. I ended up in emergency care that night because I could not swallow and was later too ill to to pick the medication up when it was ready a few hours later. They are getting 2 stars instead of 1 because the floor staff are great! I never have a problem when I need a late night candy bar fix or a new mascara. So from now on I'll be having my medications filled elsewhere, not like my 2 prescriptions will make a dent, but I'm over it. read more

I have had multiple issues with this pharmacy. Today I called in for a refill on one of my meds. The bottle clearly states "one refill available". The pharmacist, Chris Martz, said no refills were available. I told him my bottle states one is available. He disagreed and asked that I bring in the bottle. I did so within 20 minutes. He reviewed my bottle and his records. States he still would not fill the medication. Also, when I first filled this med, I was given a refill on a different med I take, even tho I did not request it and it was too early for that medication to be refilled.
