This was a pretty big Harris Teeter that we stopped at when we were in the area. The selection seemed to be better than the Harris Teeter closest to where I lived. I'm starting to become convinced that the one near me is the smallest one. It's a crowded shopping center, but that's pretty normal. My experience has been positive here. Everything is clean and well kept. One time I even asked if a piece of cheese that was not in the deli section if they could somehow sell a smaller portions because I was about to hop on the airplane so I didn't want to buy a grocery amount of block cheese. They willingly cut up the cheese for me and I really appreciated that! This little action that they could say no to, but then they choose to go above and beyond is what is inspiring me to give it five stars!! read more

There are so many good things about this location, but it is laid out nothing like the two which I frequent in the neighboring town of Concord. Your girl here, couldn't find the cottage cheese. Two associates which I asked gave me two possible locations. I had checked both places already. I know that this huge supermarket must have had cottage cheese. Additionally, they had a lacking produce section. Some of the offerings looked a little picked over. To their credit, they had a lovely flower, plant and gift section with a friendly associate there to help. They also had a Harris Teeter Gas Station. Which is new to me. They also had a marquee displaying current gas prices. I liked that. If you need gas you know exactly how much it costs, and you can plan your trip there before you go home. To my happy surprise, all of the associates were pleasant, and check out was lightning fast. I don't live in this area, so this particular location would not be one of my regular shopping places, but if it were... That would be just fine. read more

Forewarning if your a UNCC student and thinking about going to their student discount night tonight - You will not be able to get it if you haven't already been signed up for it before tonight. This Harris Teeter was my go-to grocery store last semester but they have only disappointed me this one. My first visit back I wasn't aware you had to re-register for the Student Rewards so I was pretty surprised when it didn't show up on my total. No biggie thought right? An attendant came to and helped me resign up for the program. I then went back to pay for my groceries and the same thing happened. I talked to the same attendant, the one who had just told me I was good to go, and I was told then it wouldn't be ready for another 48 hours. Not sure why she didn't tell me that upfront but I was understanding and only got the essential good and left paying full price. The next time, 4 days later, to get the rest of my groceries I had left behind but with the Student Discount. Same thing happens. I go to the front desk once again and ask what the problem was and I am told that I needed more information on my VIC card. So I give them a little more information and walk out of the store to yet again wait for the 24 hour update. We are now at the present day. I go straight to the front desk to make sure my VIC card situation is sorted out and surprise surprise, it isn't. The attendants had forgotten to submit the data in the first place, they had only put it on the form not submitted it. The front desk worker set me straight thought and told me to just ask one of the attendants up front to put in a temporary code so I could participate in the Student Discount night. I find out once I'm at the front that the Student discount night was only from 6-9PM tonight. I won't complain too much about that as I didn't read the fine print, that's on me. But I then ask to just get the regular student discount. The attendant seemed confused what I was talking about, but she then saw one of the signs and realized it was a separate deal. Still no biggie, I just wanted the 10% as I was getting quite a few groceries. So she goes and talks to the manager and apparently they can't do that - not 20 minutes after I was told they could in fact do that. So I only came away from my shopping trip with my hot sub. I know for a fact plenty of already registered students will in fact end up enjoying the 20% student discount night. I also know their will be a lot of students who show up early like me who didn't know it was only for 3 hours not the whole day. There will also be students who are told by their friends to just go to Harris Teeter today and to sign up for the VIC program so they can get the 20%, only to be denied at checkout. All in all very disappointing couple of weeks from Harris Teeter. Most students only shop their because of the student discount and location, it's pricer then some of the other grocery chains around that's no secret. I will personally be shopping elsewhere after this experience - beside for the Friday subs which I wish I could half a star for but alas I cannot. Students beware!! read more

As with all Teeters in the Charlotte area, this one is tidy, clean and organized as well as being staffed with folks who understand service and friendliness. One such person noticed me wandering about looking for something and asked if I needed assistance. "Yes, please. Where's the pharmacy?" "Oh, we don't have one in this store." "That would explain why I couldn't find it." Otherwise, the rest of the store was clean, bright and well stocked. Prices are higher than you'll find at the nearby Wally World. There is a racist employee, we went to take out money that they sent us and at first she said that we could not get more than 500 dollars but she said that she was going to let us take out more than that, but we could not because the person they sent it was not there, we went back to that person and she saw us and said "I can not have my break" and left and let someone else take care of us, we were all right this that the other person asked us for a social, which we do not have and that is not needed since I took out money before and we have not needed it, I hope they realize the racism there. read more

I tried the ExpressLane Order pickup and was so impressed with the ease of online ordering to the effortless pickup process that I wanted to share my experience!! Harris Teeter offers an awesome no contact way of grocery shopping during this COVID-19 pandemic. Loved the fact my order was ready hours earlier than expected! But don't worry my food was kept in a freezer so my meats & ice cream did not suffer at all!! I received my groceries in great condition! Oh and you can use your VIC card for savings!! This store is so much bigger than my local Teeter, which is nice if I need some unusual items. It has a bigger selection that the smaller stores, but it's almost more vanilla than Trader Joe's. I guess you can't have it all. My biggest gripe with this store is with the produce. I've had too many bad experiences (apples rotten to the core, moldy peppers, etc) and I don't trust them anymore. I'm writing this review on behalf of the AWESOME Starbucks inside this Harris Teeter. Twice, their service has gone above and beyond. The first time they made my day was on my birthday, when Starbucks failed to send me my complimentary birthday drink. The lovely barista on duty still honored my free birthday drink and made me a heavenly green tea latte. This Starbucks also saved the day after two other coffee locations (one Starbucks, one Dunkin') were unable to procure a traveler container of coffee for me. I called ahead to this location, and they had the container packed up in a bag with a hefty amount of creamer, sweeteners, napkins, stir sticks, and cups. Since this is the closest grocery store to my house by a long shot, I often get stuck shopping here -- and again this past week the meat/seafood guy who once refused to cut my roommates and I fresh steaks from the case (claimed there was the same thing already out, of course there weren't) this time refused to simply clean a fish. This shows the store is WELL managed! This is my new go-to grocery store. I'm willing to pay a bit higher prices to get the variety (bakery items, olive bar, salad bar, soups, etc...) available in this store. I wish more than anything that there was a Harris Teeter in Philadelphia. When I come down to visit my family, I love to go grocery shopping with them. The Harris Teeter has everything you could possibly need. Things that I would need to go to a specialty shop to get. Their prices are high, but are comparable to other high end grocery stores up north like Wegmans or Acme. The service always blows me out of the water as well. Maybe it's because I'm from the north and am not used to southern hospitality, but when the cashier asks if I need help getting my groceries to my car, it shocks me in the best way possible. This particular HT is the best. The people working there all seem to really enjoy their job. That comes across in the way they treat their customers. The store is always clean. The shelves are always fully stocked. They are fast here at this location. If one line gets to be too long, another register opens up right away. The Starbucks in the store is a great plus as well. In reviewing a supermarket, I really look at four compoenets: a) variety of product; b) cleanliness of store; c) customer service; d) price. This particular Harris Teeter does have a large variety of products. The produce section carries both regular and organic choices, there is an international section, a flower counter and even a Starbucks! The store has always appeared clean to me. Even the salad bar is kept pretty neat. The customer service here is OK but not outstanding. As others have mentioned there is a lack of service at the deli counter and the sandwich station. By lack of service, I don't mean it was poor, there was just too few people to help. As far as price, Harris Teeter in general is just so overpriced. I really don't buy anything unless it is on sale, or I'm absolutely desperate. As far as large supermarkets go, I'm a fan of this location. However, if I have other choices available like Trader Joes or a local market, you'll find me there. read more

Wow, what a great place. I've been coming to this particular Harris Teeter for 8 years now (through my years attending UNCC) and the place is as good as a grocery store can get. The wide array of products, delicious salad bar, top notch sushi, fresh deli, quick subs/wraps, and the newly added pizza kitchen causes me to make at least 3-4 stops per week here as part of my routine. Oh yeah, did I mention this place has a Starbucks! This place is way better in my opinion then Trader Joe's considering the product offering doesn't even compare. I come here for larger grocery trips as getting around the Plaza/MIdwood one is near impossible. Produce selection is pretty large, and usually OK quality. Getting service at the meat counter is pretty rough. I have been told to come back when an employee when off their break to get something. At noon on a Friday you only have one person who can do certain things? Everything else here is pretty typical Teeter. read more

Poor established with discriminatory staff.. I would never recommend anyone to come to this location. I was a loyal Harris Teeter customer, and I have been going there at least twice a week for year. I have a disability and have a service dog who shops with me and helps me with my everyday needs. Today, I was walking into this location and as soon as I stepped through the doors a man in a Harris Teeter uniform cornered me and said service animals aren't allowed in the store. This was a huge surprise to me since I've been going there with my service animal, as well as other locations. His tone was demeaning and he was hostile and rude. I offered to show him my dogs service badge and he said no it's fine, and continued on his way. As I was walking down asle 7 I noticed he was following me and on his headset notifying other employees. As I presumed to check out, ANOTHER lady (manager I presume) approached me and told me the same thing! I explained to her that he is my Service Dog.. Before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted me and asked me WHAT MY DISABILITY WAS! I couldn't believe she called me out in the checkout line to explain why I was disabled. She then told me that service dog badges aren't accepted, real and that I needed to leave. I couldn't believe how rude she was, not willing to listen, and pushy. As a concerned and hurt local I will never EVER return to this Harris Teeter or any others. I was embarrassed and felt ridiculed and unwelcome. I would suggest that people seek a local grocery store such as Publix before they choose to enter a disgusting establishment that isn't fair to those with disabilities. This needs to be heard and listened to. I will never spend another dollar in a Harris Teeter and I advise you don't put a cent back into this disgraceful place. read more

I love me a nice Harris Teeter. The only problem with this location is that it is always busy! I prefer going to the one a few miles down the road in Harrisburg. This is a clean, well-stocked, and organized 24 hour store. I will say that it loses its glamour at night while it is being restocked and there is only one cashier to check everyone out. read more

Seeing the existing poor reviews, I felt a little bit nervous to be so contrarian, but I like this supermarket. Since I'm new to the area I have been seeking a good sized, friendly, supermarket with some decent promotions. The local food lion appears to be of 70's vintage and is postage stamp sized in comparison (but ok still). I went to bloom but it was expensive for no reason and had apathetic rude people working there. Walmart is often overpriced (on some items), out-of-stock (on anything you want), and always crowded. I boycotted Harris Teeter for the first two months I lived here since I thought that it had a stupid name, but upon going I saw a bright and modern store with some decent promotions and a regular supply of free samples. I want to thank you and commend you for you wonderful staff . I had a food emergency on Saturday. A food service cancel on my order for 22 lunches I needed for a Realestate Workshop I was conducting. Well I called your store an the Deli Manager Steve came to my rescue. With the upmost professionalism and understanding of my situation. Steve and his staff put together the most enjoyable lunch... Sandwiches on artisan breads, salads soups, cookies chips and drinks from the store..for 22 people . It was beautiful and delicious!!! An all in an hour and 15 mins...WOW I am beyond impressed!!! Steve also assisted me in loading the items into my car ...then when I offered to give him a tip ... He declined, saying its not allow, and that he was just happy to have been a help, giving credit to his wonderful team...well Steve and his team saved the day and my butt... I don't buy much from Harris Teeter as their pricing is, generally, sky-high. I do go there as it's the only place I've found that carries Boarshead knockwurst. I also stopped to pick up a half roast beef sub. The lone girl at the sub station must have been getting ready to close as she took all the roast beef she had left and piled it on the sub. What a humongous sub she made for me. I asked her to marry me, which drew a stern look from my wife. On the down side, our grandson noticed they had some pizza and was asking for some. They were cleaning up and instead of reducing the price, or just giving him a little piece, the just threw all that pizza away. I just couldn't see paying a high price for pizza they were just gonna throw away, anyway. Oh well...I got him pizza on the way home. read more

My wife and I have been visiting this Harris Teeter for a couple of years. Overall it has been a great experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the store is well stocked and parking is great. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the men's bathroom [I do not have feedback from my wife in regards to the women's]. On several occasions the bathroom has been less than okay. Urine puddles and toilet paper on the floor. I am aware that no store has control over their customers and their bathroom habits, but I would like it to be checked frequently and cleaned. read more

I love this place, the customer service has always been superior especially when compared to the target and Walmart located not even a mile down the road. When I go to Walmart its always seems like the employees hate their jobs and I'm being an inconvenience when i check out or ask for help finding something. Target is not as bad but this Harris teeter really is a friendly place and they have some really good e-vic deals that pick specific coupons for you based on your purchases. Anyways, based upon Francesca's comment it seemed like she was dealing with one employee in the back, I have no experience with requesting custom cuts but the meat I purchase is always fresh and they offer a 200% money back guarantee on HT Brand items. Self checkout credit card swiper is uncomfortable to use and painful because you will swipe your hand against a sharp piece of metal - thats right, the "smart" management decided to put the swiper next to a sharp piece of metal...You have to have tiny hands to not get cut swiping a credit card at self checkout. read more
