Found some really good deals here! The after-Valentine's Day chocolate was cheap! I am excited for the Saint Patty's Day stuff that they have on the shelves! I always come here for medications, and to gran random essentials that I need. Sometimes it's NiQuil, Vitamin C, various vitamins or sunblock. I think I grabbed nail polish last time. It is pretty random. I will say, this CVS comes in handy though. I am able to skip having to go to the grocery store, on top of the pharmacy. Service is always okay- no problems there. Understaffed, undertrained, and staff is over-whelmed. I needed to buy a gift card so stopped by since it was conveniently on my driving route. I know some places allow you to buy a gift card at self checkout and other places do not. Knowing this... I intentionally looked for signs that said I could not do so. There were no signs so I proceeded. After it asked for my payment, it then gave me an error message and said for the employee to process a refund. I then asked the cashier at the window, she looked at my receipt and just gave it back to me without saying anything. I thought, hmm... maybe the transaction automatically reversed out. I went to my car and checked my transaction, it was pending. So I went back in and the same cashier gave me an attitude saying she couldn't do anything. I then asked for a supervisor who seemed like she was about to quit, this is before I even interacted with her. She gave me attitude and told me I need to call customer service. Anyhow, long story short... the details and small actions made me absolutely hate this location. They seemed stressed out and nobody really knew what to do. They are unorganized and honestly, are probably worried because who knows when this location will shut down. I still didn't get my refund yet. Customer service was closed that day so I had to call back the next day; they said it may take 7 days... seems like they are making money off of me by making me wait and making the process drag out. read more

Super in a rush, far from the friendly smiles on the cvs commercials, borderline bothered if you ask a question, they speak as if you should know. Like sorry bro, Im a healthy person, when I get the flu bad enough to warrant drugs pls don't speak to me as if I should have gone to pharmacology school. It gets the job done and the location is convenient. That's about it. Oh wait, they changed their phone system to basically ensure they don't have calls coming in. This is a pharmacy review. Jonathan (pharmacist assistant) is so wonderful. He called me with concerns over my rx and relayed helpful copay information. My rx plan sucks and Jonathan took it upon himself to help me find discounts. That was really appreciated. The pharmacy is fine and really is the only reason why I come to this CVS. The regular staff and cashiers are completely checked out. They take over 15 minutes to ring up a customer. The line of customers is routinely long because of the staff doesn't know what to do or they're checked out and don't care. It forces me to use self checkout when, after coming here for years, I have yet to see bags refilled at the self checkouts. If you want a bag, you need to either interrupt the customer being helped and ask for a bag or walk out with all your loose items. I'm only writing this post so they can refill the bags at the damn checkout. If I need to ask for assistance to get a bag, then just remove the self checkouts because they're useless unless you're buying one item that you can carry. read more

He is constantly rude, demeaning and yells at me every single time I have to call about any medication making it a nightmare every single time I have to call. I have used CVS for about 5 years having moved into a home close to CVS. In the last few months while trying to get medication filled and pick it up I have encountered the following: repeated told my Dr had not responded with a new prescription... they still listed the Dr from 2 years ago! Tried to pick up antibiotics ordered by the Dr and told I had to choose which one I wanted as there were 2! I told the girl I wanted both as that was what was prescribed! I gave my cc through the drive through, was distracted, didn't get my card returned. Went home, didn't remember leaving it at the drive through, went crazy looking though everything. They called the next day late afternoon to say they had my card!!!! Inept and they DO NOT CARE!!!! read more

It is frustrating that I have to wait in long lines at this location. Although the cashiers are courteous it seems as if they are always severely understaffed and items are not priced correctly from the selves versus the price at the register. We purchased some Nyquil this afternoon and we were overcharged albeit accidently, we didn't notice until after we left. We returned, the cashier was polite and apologized but was unable to credit my credit card. I would suggest a security guard as well to be posted just outside of their main entrance for safety reasons. This is the nearest pharmacy to my house; however, we feel unsafe at this location often so we end up driving down Harbor Blvd a bit further to Walgreens. read more

This CVS was fine. I needed to stop in and grab some allergy medicine and they had it. It's nothing to jump out of your seat for compared to other stores because it's an older location but it serves the purpose. I see no reason not to come here again if I'm in the area and I need something that I know the typical drugstore carries. read more

This is the second time I've sent medicine here because it's literally right next to my house. For the second time they didn't have an urgent medicine in stock and told me to come back so I did 2 days later. Still didn't have it so I called the next day and they again asked me if they would like to order it to get picked up there. I am so so over this terrible pharmacy with their amateur customer service and they're supposed to be in Pharmaceutical Care but they can't even order medicine... a pharmacy can't order medicine... shit show on fire. They have a drive thru here which helps to make the shopping experience quicker but I always prefer going inside the store myself. This particular store has the pharmacy at the far back and it's a little larger then most. Good service and helpful staff. The CVS here also sells passport photos. For $14.99 you get 2 copies. Also a pretty huge alcohol section including all kinds of wines, beers, and liquor. read more

This Minute Clinic is difficult at best. This is not regarding the pharmacy there. The pharmacy has always been great. I checked on my PPO insurance website and they were listed as a covered provider. I double checked on the CVS Minute Clinic app and it also listed my specific insurance and plan as being a provider. The check in nurse was very sweet but the nurse practitioner seemed to be on some power trip looking for ways to be difficult. Everything on their website as well as my insurance website said they were a provider yet they insisted I pay up front for the visit and all lab fees. They wouldn't send the bill to the network and if there was a balance I'd pay it. If I paid it as a cash patient (which she insisted I had to do) I would not have been able to get reimbursed from my insurance as they only pay providers. She also insisted I get a bunch of lab work that wasn't necessary for the prescription I was asking for. I drove to another urgent care center immediately and was treated and given the urgent prescription I needed right away. No labs were required. So much for caring about your patients. read more

After having a bad experience with a pharmacist at another CVS who didn't explain to me how to use a certain prescription & told me to "look it up"; I decided to go to another store & I don't regret it. One of the techs, named Elias, was very kind & helpful after I told him about my past experience. While I understand that today is a federal holiday, patients still need their medications and this location did not post anywhere that they were closed the entire holiday. My wife was in the Emergency room and we would have chosen a different pharmacy had they posted hours. Now, she boards a plane tomorrow with no medications. If you currently use CVS as your pharmacy, STOP.They don't care about you, they don't listen, and they will short you on a prescription without telling you why or asking. My husband is a type 1 diabetic, he uses 100ml of insulin a day so his prescription clearly says 10 vials every 90 days. Every time we went to pick this up they would only give us 9 vials, claiming the insurance was blocking it. I called the insurance and they said no, you have a prior authorization you are allowed 10 vials. I bring this authorization to the pharmacy IN PERSON and they wouldn't even look at it. I had to insist and even after seeing the approval they still told me no, you're only allowed 9 vials. They did not offer to call insurance, they did not apologize for this misunderstanding that has gone on for MONTHS, they did not help me in any way. I continued to ask why they were refusing a prior authorization from a doctor and my insurance, and the manager eventually told me that if they give me 10, the math doesn't add up and as a result they won't be paid. So first of all, your math is wrong because 100 divided by 10 is 10. So 10 vials not 9 is the answer, basic fact. Second of all, you literally just admitted to me that your company paycheck is more important than my husband's life. I left and immediately called his doctor to have his prescriptions switched to a Sav-on pharmacy which filled his prescription, NO PROBLEM. We walked away with 10 vials like we are supposed to. CVS does not care about you or your family, all they care about is money money money. Don't use any CVS for your prescriptions, go literally anywhere else. CVS is crooked and will lie straight to your face unapologetically and act like you're the one that's crazy or stupid when in fact it is them. Please don't trust your health or the health of this you care for with this company!!! read more

Covid is rampant again and I tried to call and make an appointment with a provider for my geriatric parents and the woman on the phone told me to do it online because it was easier . I asked her to help me make an appointment where she for a second time told me to do it online . I said I wanted to see a provider she said go through the minute clinic which I did and continued to make an appointment all by myself online with the minute clinic. When I showed for the appointment the minute clinic said I had an appointment with the pharmacy not them and I was not going to see a provider . Complete waste of time because there was already 5 other patients ahead of me and no appointments available . My poor sick parents were unable to see a provider and we just took them to an urgent care instead . CVS needs better help on the phones to avoid the confusion . People who generally want to help sick people not just push them off to automated phone calls and online links !!! If I could do zero stars I would !!! read more

Im.giving it 5 stars for the abundance of beauty products they carry,the make up is extensive but the skin care is what I was impressed with.thw even have dermalogical products...who knew..lol they have the better things locked up which is kind of a pain in the butt.They have a great amount of wellness products in vitamins etc.. Ahh-choo! Sometimes I think I'm allergic to some people or their colognes. But I am definitely allergic to some types of pollen. And on a windy day I even get teary eyed. an embarrassing feeling unless I'm cutting onions or crying about the Lakers, Ducks, or Angles losing in a post season game along with my wager. There is nothing really unique about this CVS. It's located in the same strip mall as Von's on Harbor and Adams, But I just had to tell anyone who has seasonal allergies about the GREAT deal on their generic Claritin, (generic is Loratidine HCl). They had a 100 per cent free special on their package of 30 tablets for $17, so that's 60 tablets for the same price. But if you're a CVS Cardholder, they knock off $7, so it's actually $10. And their 60 tablet bottle is normally $24. I bought two of these packages so I'm set allergy wise for at least the rest of the year. Claritin takes awhile to kick in, so people often think one pill is not enough, so they take two. In many ways, Claritin is not as potent as Benadryl (generic is Diphenhydramine HCl) or claim to handle as many types of allergens are Zyrtec (generic is Cetirizine HCl). But the last two make you drowsy. And Lord knows in a meeting or a boring date, you might just fall asleep as someone is thanking you for being so attentive. This store like others carries wines, booze, sodas, and snacks. When they're on sale, it's as cheap as Wal Mart. They're pretty much as fast ir as slow as other places for prescriptions, and this store is far from being the biggest CVS around. But on this date and time, they had in stock a hot sale item. Plus, I didn't wait in line long...the manager opened up another register when he saw a line forming. I come into this store about once a month, and they are never the same cashiers. They also have a drive up pharmacy. Very convenient. One word of warning about this mini mall. They will soon be building a new Kohl's and this easy parking lot will soon be very busy. Had a procedure done and walked out with a laundry list of drugs that I needed. Ugh. Given my condition, the clinic was kind enough to locate a pharmacy near me, call them ahead of time, and then send me off on my merry way to recover at home. I was so grateful to them. They gave me a time for when it would all be ready, where to go, and how to use all those magical drugs. So it should have been an easy process when I got here, right? WRONG. I pulled up into the drive-thru because I was a hot mess of pain and wanted to avoid crowds and people. The person at the window couldn't locate me. No such prescription exists in my name. WHAT?? I need these drugs! Then, they look at my paperwork. Oops. Filed in the wrong area. Whew. Except, they've only filled one of the several drugs that I need. Ugh. I was told everything would be ready by the time I left the clinic and got here. So they tell me they only got a request for one, not the other and that I need to come back. Um no. I want to go home and stay there so I pulled out of the drive-thru and sat in my car, then drove back up, and picked up my meds. What a freakin' waste. The Minute Clinic at this CVS location did a wonderful job for my COVID rapid test. The LVN was very cordial and helpful by walking me through the process, promptly. I gave him my information (insurance, id, and confirmation code) while he checked my temperature. You can upload an image of your insurance card via the website to save time. I administered the swab myself, gently, swirling or circling ten times in each nostril. The swab doesn't have to go into your brain. The LVN did give me a choice of two types of rapid tests. There is a protein-based one and an antigen-based one. I opted for the antigen-based one because where I am flying accepts it. The protein-based one would have taken longer to receive the results back. I did wait about thirty to forty minutes for my results. Li-chi was very nice and took my vitals before handing me a copy of my results and congratulated me before I exited, ready for my vacation. And my results will be texted to me and sent to my portal. Minute Clinic did a great job sending reminders to prepare me along with a how-to video from a link they texted to me. I would guestimate to prepare to give an hour of your time. While one is waiting for their results, there is a Juice It Up!, neighboring CVS. One will drive past the drive-up pharmacy and park in the back to get started. read more
