I recently visited CVS to pick up some over-the-counter medication after a trip and some sunscreen for soccer. While I was looking at my phone trying to find the items I needed, an employee approached me and kindly asked if I needed assistance. When I couldn't locate one of the products, he directed me to the correct aisle, which was very helpful and appreciated. Later, I realized this employee was actually the store manager. Overall, he seemed friendly and willing to help, but my checkout experience felt a little awkward. While scanning my items, he appeared distracted and then asked whether I was with Uber Eats. Since I was simply looking at my phone, I assume that may have led to the question, but I wasn't sure why it was being asked. It wasn't a major issue, and I don't believe there was any ill intent behind it. However, as constructive feedback, some customers may feel uncomfortable being asked personal questions that aren't related to their purchase. Regardless of the reason for a customer's visit, it's important that everyone feels welcomed and respected without assumptions being made about them. That said, I appreciated the manager's friendliness and his willingness to help me find what I needed. My overall experience was positive, and I offer this feedback simply as an opportunity to make the customer experience even better. read more

I usually try to avoid CVS because I find it pretty expensive, but since moving to this area, this is the closest pharmacy to me. The one thing I do like about this location is that they have a pharmacy drive-thru, which is super convenient. The pharmacists are okay, they seem really busy, so the customer service isn't the most personable. It feels more rushed than friendly, but I get that they're probably dealing with a lot. Just a heads up, the pharmacy closes from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm for lunch. I didn't know this and showed up around 1:29pm , and they still closed the window, so I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. The store is okay. But the pharmacy have to improve the customer care and its efficiency. They are incredibly slow at the windows even though there are enough employees to attend customers. Every time I go, I am puzzled by the scenes which a few employees gather at a computer screen and talking about some issues when they have to be helping customers in line. It didn't happen on one occasion but I encountered it many times. They have be trained better for an efficient customer service. The wait time to pick up medicine is average 15-30 minutes. I strongly recommend to use another pharmacy if you have a choice. read more

The checkout takes forever. Very slow service. I came here to grab a Covid test, some baby wipes, vitamin C packets and Niquil. Stood there forever in-line and the line wasn't moving. Two cashiers up there, but moving slow and taking forever with customers: I felt sick (thought it was the flu), and just wanted to get in and out. Grab what I needed and bounce. That was the plan. But these people operate so slow. Like seriously, do your jobs please. This is incredibly annoying when you don't feel well. And it turned out that I actually had Covid, not the flu. I finally tested when I got home and it was positive. Sad day. I wish I did the order ahead and drive up option somewhere for a test and medications. RONNY V should not be working or dealing with customers if he does not know how to interact with them. ESPECIALLY dealing with PATIENTS who are unwell and are seeking medical assistance. As a pharmacist tech, there are ways they approach conversations and Ronny chose to disregard any type of empathy towards myself and my boyfriend (the patient)- besides the misunderstanding between the insurance company and CVS- Ronny assumed the patient didn't want to come into the physical location vs using the drive thru- he said " because you DONT WANT TO come inside, the process is going to be a minute" It's not the fact that he DIDNT WANT TO COME IN- he just had a surgery and physically is limited to movement- even just having to get him to the car to get to the pharmacy took amounts of effort. After NOT being able to receive the medication-my boyfriend called his insurance- his insurance made it known that he has an active plan- we were told that CVS constantly had incorrect information on their end (after being called twice from the insurance company and having them give the correct information) CVS HUNG UP ON THE INSURANCE COMPANY before she could finalize anything or let them know that we decided to pick the medication up at a different pharmacy all together. All in all he made the experience terrible and I wouldn't recommend talking or dealing with Ronny- he seems to think he knows better than everyone read more

The "Operations Manager, Ron, was slow ( in more ways than one ) He was rude, of no help, wimpy ( as a little bonus ), and literally *accused me* of being in there last week with the same issue. I have never ever been to that location before. What a freaky weird thing for a manager to do especially since he was incorrect. Everything! The man checking me out at the drive through was rude and didn't give me my drivers license back. They gave me cough medicine with no way to measure the liquid dose and they didn't fill my decongestant because it was over the counter medication but didn't offer me the medication to buy just didn't fill it. There is no customer service at this location, I had to ask about the decongestant and get them to sell it to me separately. Don't go here, find another store. read more

This CVS is one of the lowest rated stores in the area. Notice how many 1 Star ratings this store gets and how there is no response by the store manger or CVS corp. - If you shop here you really need to watch the cashiers. They are actively scamming customers. I recommend you use the calculator on your phone to total all your items yourself before the cashier rings you up. Regularly I find that sale items are not correctly priced in their computer. Also when you try to use the CVS coupons on that mile-long receipt their computer system accepts them, but does not apply the discount to your total. CVS is clearly manipulating their customers with coupon fraud. - Again today, I gave the cashier two coupons that would have taken $5 off my $29 total. But it didn't. When I questioned the cashier on it, she showed me on her register's screen that it accepted my two coupons and insisted that the discount had been applied. When she handed me my receipt there was no record of coupons being used in the transaction and my card was charged full price. This has happen to me over and over to the point where I avoid shopping here and have moved all my prescriptions. CVS is obviously running software in their computer system that tells their cash registers to ignore their own coupons, and they have trained their employers to ignore basic math. Just rush them out the door once you've go their money. And where is the store manager here??? I never see this guy. not kid friendly i took a 1 year old here this morning to shop and i took him out of his stroller to walk around/play under close supervision. he was playing with this small side station of toy cars and would take two out at a time (one in each hand) to play. i was also continuously picking up after him and putting away the cars back where they were found. a blonde middle aged worker came up to us and she told me "if you are not going to buy anything or need any help, this is not a playground for your son" .... wow i didn't know browsing around with a child in cvs was prohibited and that you had to keep them confined, not allowing exploration!! anyways, i put back the products i was planning to purchase and took my 1 year old to immediately leave since it seemed we weren't welcome read more

This store is a disaster. Stock always seems to be low on everything - half of it is locked up anyways. It's easier to order stuff from Amazon at this point because there's never anyone around to help. The pharmacy NEEDS to post their lunch time closure and be consistent with it. Apparently this store is 1:30-2, which isn't posted anywhere online, the app, or the store. But I've also been in there when they closed it at 12:30 for lunch. Get it together, seems basic enough. This CVS pharmacy is a joke. They lack in professionalism and customer service. It seems like they do not want to provide even basic customer service. If you pull up to the drive through window to pick up a prescription, do not expect to be greeted. If and when you are eventually greeted, you can expect them to not give a crap. I understand the pharmacists are busy but acknowledging a customer is so easy. Oh and not to mention, I've had pharmacists here question my prescriptions and ask why I am taking them. Paid for my photos online to be picked up in store. Once I got to the store they said I had to pay in store because they had no record that I had paid online even after showing them my credit card history. Then proceeded to tell me they would need to hold onto my photos until they could talk to a manager on a different day. Super disappointed in the customer service department. Was here today at 1:30pm with my brother bought some items and asked the lady (red hair glasses with straight across bangs) if we could split the bill she said no only if we pay cash for half. There was a girl named Dayane in the store. She was very rude. Within 5 minutes of my friend and I entering the store, she came over to us and said to us" this is not a place for hangout, you guys should leave" I'm really confused. If the store doesn't let customers see the products, how can we choose the products we need? And she said very arrogantly that if you have any problems you can go to my manager, so I communicated with the manager and asked her to apologize, she refused to apologize and walked away. Went to CVS because I needed to copy a pic to go in my Christmas cards. I knew it was risky at CVS but didn't feel like tackling Costco. Stopped in here after eating breakfast next door to get some deodorant and vitamins, they were out of my vitamin, so that sucked but got my ladies Mitchum. A must need in this hot and humid weather! Pharmacist seemed bothered when I asked where things were being I've never been in this location. It is quite big, clean and stocked well. Alexander the cashier was great at customer service, which is usually void at any CVS in my opinion. They have some good sales going on right now. On July 3rd of 2021, I walked into cvs in Costa Mesa (Adams and Royal Palm [which I have been coming to for about 8 years since I live right over on Royal Palm]) wearing my motorcycle clothing (I was coming home from a little Saturday ride), was carrying my Shoei motorcycle helmet,  and was wearing an Adidas "Pride" hat. The moment I walked in, a woman I have never seen before who was working there was giving me a nasty look as I walked in and never said hi or anything (that is minimal, but usually the employees do). I walked towards the section with face washes and such because I was looking at facial moisturizer, so I picked up the Cetaphil brand and CVS brand to compare them,  then put them back and decided to not get one yet (not that it matters, but I didn't buy one because my fiancé works at Walgreens and he gets a discount on products). I started to walk out and this lady screams out that I am stealing and better put back everything I took, in front of 5 other customers and another employee! I was confused and calmly said I don't steal, and said "watch, the alarm won't go off" and stepped into the detectors in the front of the store, which as I said, they didn't go off. She said it's because they only detect certain items (makes no sense) and so I walked towards the counter and turned my pockets inside out and opened my motorcycle jacket, where nothing was there.  She loudly  said I am stealing again, so I said to get a manager and look at the security tapes, I don't know what she is talking about. She said she is the manager,  she isn't going to look at the tapes and I am banned for life and I better leave, she is calling the police. This whole time I was calm (mostly since I was in disbelief). I went home and my dad went in the store to ask about it and tell them to look at the security tapes while I waited in the parking lot. Turns out that woman was not a manager, but the manager did hear the whole thing going on, yet  never came over or intervened or or did anything to stop her from yelling at a customer, accusing them of stealing in front of another employee and 5 other customers;  He didn't even offer to look at the security tapes. When my dad demanded he(the manager) do so, he said he can't look at the footage (in most stores, any employee can look at the tapes by the way, plus there is an active security guard at this center who obviously can) so we have to wait until the district manager came in the next day for them to review the footage and they would call us back by noon the next day. We called corporate the following day around 1 pm and made a complaint. Corporate said we will be called back within 2 business days. To keep this shorter, for a month, I was calling corporate to ask about it, they would say a higher up was getting the complaints this time (side note, the customer service reps were great and really did all they could for me), and no one would call back. About two months later, a manager from that store called me and said he heard I had a complaint or something and wanted to hear what I was saying happened, but kept cutting me off and said he looked at the tapes, but didn't know what she said though he saw her yelling and such.  He just said "she isn't usually here,  she was from a different store" and basically said thanks for giving him info and said goodbye. I am not a suspicious person, I showed that lady my pockets and inside my jacket, etc. (Which I shouldn't even have done since corporate and everyone else doesn't care), stepped through the detectors, etc. And the items I was looking at are big bottles anyways,  there is no way I could have hidden that in the first place.  So the only thing that makes sense is my pride hat, which I said to customer service, managers, etc. And it made no difference to those that were in charge.  I own my own business, was wearing over $1,500 worth of equipment that day,  I am friendly and not weird acting at all, I have no reason to steal a $10 bottle of face moisturizer. Nothing has been done or answered for this. Thanks to this worker and the bad/non-response from higher ups, I don't shop at CVS anymore and tell everyone else to avoid giving them business. At least avoid giving business to this store which supports homophobic, unprofessional behavior towards customers. Those customers who are my neighbors since I live nearby in there that day will always see me and think I am a thief and liar thanks to that day.  I hope someone from corporate or a higher up sees this and actually does something.  Side note of advice: employees should never yell that someone is stealing in front of other customers and such especially. A bad person (and with all the drug addicts and such around Costa Mesa, there is no shortage of them) could hurt the employee, customers, etc. read more

My husband and I went to have a Covid test for an upcoming trip to Hawaii. They state that the results will be posted on My Chart within 1 or 2 days which is what we needed to fly to Hawaii. My results did NOT arrive in time and I missed my trip. Exactly one week later they called to let me know that my test results had been lost. How does a company mis manage test results that are time sensitive?? I will NEVER step inside a CVS pharmacy for anything. The rest of the travelers went to Walgreens and got their results in 24 hours!!! read more
