I went here for a vaccine and for the most part everything went smoothly. I made an online appointment, showed up on time, and only had to wait 5 minutes past my appointment time for the vaccine. That was the positive. The reason for 3 stars is that the CVS system is chaotic. Even though I have received several vaccines at different CVS in recent years, they had no record. I thought that is what the digital revolution was all about. Your vaccine record should not be specific to the location you visit. To add to the confusion, when I was checking out the pharmacist said appointments are no longer necessary, you can just walk up. But that is confusing because not every CVS offers the full range of vaccines so you need to make an appointment to see which CVS has which vaccines. Finally, 45 minutes before my appointment, I received a text with a reminder, but 30 minutes before my appointment I received another text with the wrong appointment time. Whew. read more

This is such a poor owned pharmacy. If you like to wait 1hr plus to get a vaccination although you have an appointment or for prescriptions, definitely waste your time at this location. The pharmacist and techs lack empathy and a sense of urgency which makes the experience extremely frustrating for customers. Came to this location for topical numbing. I walked up to an employee named Ada and asked her 3 times saying "Hello can you help me?" and she ignored be twice before responding a third time. She was extremely condescending and rude. She didn't help me find the product I was looking for. She stood there and just said they didn't have what I was looking for. After looking with another kind employee I found the product. Ada this is not the way you should treat customers. I would give 0 stars for this pharmacy if I could. The pharmacist Sayna Tahririan is extremely unprofessional and rude. There is nobody at the drive thru upon arrival or acknowledgement. Also my daughter's medication was canceled and deleted from the system from one of their employees according to the CVS I currently go to. I had to rejoin another virtual visit to get another prescription for my daughter. The pharmacist said she didn't have the complaint phone number and she said I had to wait until she took care of another 2 customers for her to look up the phone number and write it down while I was there before them. I shop at many CVS locations as the chain seems to know when and where I need what they have! As a more personal convenience store, the chain is fantastic! If only they had hot dogs ready, gas and lottery tickets, I'd likely go no where else! This location is one of the rare examples of this chain. I popped in to grab a few items and was disappointed as their shelves seemed bare of the items I usually buy at CVS. not just a few items, but many. In fact, the shelves seemed bare throughout the store. Almost as if they were intentionally keeping these bare. Remodel? Reconfiguration? The staff seemed friendly but didn't comment when I mentioned the empty shelves. It is easy to find, plenty of parking and easy access. I received a notice that my prescription was ready but when I arrived I was told I would have to wait 30 minutes. I returned later that day but then was told my prescription would not be ready until later in the week. When I asked the pharmacist if they could help me get the prescription another way, she told me she would not help me and shouted at me "You can take a Tylenol." I was just stunned by this and walked away. I have never seen a situation where a pharmacist shouted at and embarrassed someone trying to pick up a prescription. This CVS is so nice! It's way cleaner and newer than most other drugstores in the area and always has what I need. I especially like their drive-thru pharmacy although sometimes they don't fill your prescription on time which is annoying, but they're always courteous and fill it right then if they messed up. I don't know how much I can say about this drugstore that is out of the ordinary. They fill my prescriptions. They get them right and they have them ready when the say they'll be ready. And, from time to time when I screw up and a prescription has lapsed they give me a few pills to tide me over while they contact my doc. The people behind the counter are nice and helpful. They smile and say "hello". And they give my dog a bone when we come through the drive through. No, they don't announce my entrance. They don't roll out the red carpet. They just do what they're paid to do. And they do it well. That's all I ask. And that's why I go back. read more

This is by far the most poorly run pharmacy I have ever been to. Seriously, I don't ever write reviews but avoid this place at all costs. The pharmacists are rude, condescending and could care less about their customers or their well being. They are oblivious to what's going on, confirming approvals and are bothered by the fact they have to fill prescriptions and actually help their customers. I really hope a cvs upper management team member views this and intervenes because this is hands down the worst customer service I've had to experience over the past two weeks trying to get a prescription filled. I spent over 1 hour standing in line to pick up 2 prescriptions. I was charged $52 for a medication I have taken for years and is 100% covered by insurance. I had to call my insurance who told me it was still 100% covered. I had to stand in line again to get a refund. I was treated rudely. No one apologized for the over an hour I spent in the store. While I was there a woman in her 80s shuffled up with her Walker asking for a COVID vaccine. They shooed her away and told her that she had to make an appointment online (which it appeared she could not do). No compassion. No apology for my wait. Unprofessional chitchat among employees. At the end, the pharmacist finally handed me the prescription-- 20 minutes after processed ng the refund for the overcharge. She had to run it again and confirmed it was FREE (as it always is). I took the medication she handed me and turned to walk away. She said, "Wait! We'll call the police." She had not rung it up. The charge was ZERO. The other people in line looked at me like I was a criminal. The pharmacist snatched the prescription back from me and said she would not give it to me. She called the manager to talk to me, but this person could do nothing. It was a power play on the part of the pharmacist and very embarrassing for me. This is the last straw for me at this place. I am tired of being treated rudely by workers. Everyone has a busy and stressful job. I spent 1 hour and 20 minutes in this store. Will transfer all of my prescriptions and never go back. read more

Now I know why this store isn't that busy anymore. Just got back from picking up my meds and the two working in the pharmacy were rude and very unfriendly. I was the only customer they had but they treated me like I had a disease. I kept being friendly but they both refused to be polite. They never said thank you or get lost. On my way out of the store. What can you say about your local drug dealer that hasn't already been said. They're there when you need them, they can be a bit of a pain to get a hold of and like it or not, you're gonna need to pay them a few bucks for your fix. In all seriousness, this CVS location is very similar to others in that they offer the standard drug store fare, from medication to snacks and goodies. The pharmacy in this store is actually quite good and they have taken care of me and my family time and time again. Only complaint (if I could call it that) is the hours of the pharmacy. This is not a 24 hour location so do plan accordingly. Also the CVS robo-call system is set up and they are frequently calling when its time for a medication refill/pickup. Check out the DVD Redbox out front and wander over to the thrift store next door while you wait for your medication. Overall, I'm happy with this CVS. read more

This is without doubt the most poorly run CVS I have ever been in. I've tried it three times and it's simply a poor experience.

This place is horrible and their employees are deceitful liars. I was offered a "cvs card" and would get $10 off my purchase. I explicitly asked if there's any charges involved and the cashier told me no. As I'm signing up I see there's a monthly recurring fee of $5. I asked the cashier why she lied and she said the first month is free and I can cancel anytime. Had I not read the keypad my account would've been overdrafts and I would've unwittingly been charged monthly. To top that off she refused to honor the $10 off that she was now claiming was only if I signed up for this other card, not the CVS card. How many countless individuals have been charged or were put into additional debt because this girl lied. read more

The pharmacy at this location is awful. I have tried to get my prescription there two times and the system has been "down" or "running slow". The whole hour I waited no one ever updated me on what was going on with my insurance cards going through or what is hopping in general. I asked them to transfer my prescription to the Tom Thumb I have gone to in the past and they hadn't called by the time I got there. Then when Tom Thumb finally got ahold of them they failed to give the right information and didn't have mine around so it had me waiting longer at Tom Thumb. The CVS Pharmacy on Garland Rd and Peavy in Dallas, Texas is a nightmare. It's the closest one to my home and it is out of pure laziness that I've continued to use it but today was the last straw. I am DONE. The line is ALWAYS a 15 minute wait, minimum. The poor staff is always so frazzled and way understaffed. The phone rings and rings and no one answers it. It's like a waiting room to hell. Elderly people are always forced to stand forever just to find out that their prescription is STILL not ready. In my case today, it was out of stock, AGAIN. So I spent 15 mins in line to be told my prescription still isn't ready, return in 10 mins. So I just hopped back in line because I knew that by the time I make it back to the counter, it would be 15 mins easy - so I should be good. 10 mins go by, it's almost my turn again and my phone rings. They are out of stock of my prescription. I have now wasted 30 mins standing in the waiting room to hell. The real problem though, is this is the norm at this pharmacy. Next time I'll take my chances at the Walgreens across the street. read more
