The pharmacy itself (not the rest of the store) is the worst... absolutely customer no service. I have high deductible insurance only so they should never file unless I tell them too. The keep trying to file when told not to, which delays things because they have to wait for insurance to say it's not covered. Again, they were explicitly told not to do this. I dropped off 2 prescriptions, first one said not in stock, so about 2 weeks later, it's finally in and I go pick it up and ask about the 2nd. They said they had questions about the Rx and would have to call the doctor. Well why didn't you do that when I dropped it off. A few more weeks went by and they text saying they never heard back from the doc. I doubt they tried because I called the doc and told them what was going in, and within 15min they called me back saying it's all straightened out. Then I get another text from CVS saying it's not in stock. A couple weeks later I get a text saying it's ready for pickup but I was out of town. So a few days later, when I was back, I went to pick it up but they close for lunch in the early afternoon so they sent me away. I go back the next day and they tell me the prescription has expired and they refuse to give it to me. This is the one the doc's office just called about a few weeks prior. They said it was originally written 6 months ago so they can't give it to me. If they hadn't screwed around for several weeks that wouldn't have been a problem and give me a break, the doc's office calling them, anyone with a brain would consider that the start date. I didn't fill it right away when I got the Rx because I still had some leftover and didn't need to spend the $s right away. This is just the most recent screw up with these folks. I don't think I've filled a prescription there in 2 or 3 years where it wasn't some foul up or another. I would normally go there out of convenience but I'm done. There's a Walgreens next door, and a Publix a block or so past that. Never again will these incompetents get my business. read more

Andre, the store manager was such a Gem in assisting me with my photo printing. Since I wasn't in a rush I didn't mind waiting while he trained a new employee & assisted other customers. I don't recall the photo's self service process being so easy. I like the fact that once you disconnect your device (no Bluetooth for me) your pictures automatically disappear & aren't saved in CVS cyberspace. The pictures of my GrandBlessings came out pretty clear. For 2 4x6 prints - $1.16, which you can't beat that for the quality & quick output. Quick as there were no ahead of me. To save time & if you don't mind your photos being in the universe, you can print from home & pick up when they're ready. Nonetheless, I look forward to building my memory books at this location. One of the cleaner & organized CVS stores. read more

This pharmacy has challenges receiving prescriptions after I have confirmed with the Care Provider. This has not been a one-time event and happens all the time. Causing an effort to have them call it in again. Even one care provider said that when they called it in again, they were pretty rude, for whatever that is worth. CVS Pharmacy can do better by just capturing prescriptions being called in and simply filling them, which they can do. Others in the Dunwoody area also seem to have issue or switched to Walgreens or the Grocery Stores. read more

I enjoy shopping at this CVS store because I appreciate the great customer service. I had to get some photos printed from my phone and their USB port wasn't compatible with my phone. Dibora took the time to assist me even though it took a while. She was very patient and kind. I wished that she could trained her coworkers at other stores to assist when there's a photo issue. Yoftoheh and Neelofer are always helpful and kind as well. read more

Pharmacy staff are sooo rude & unhelpful all of the time. I have been hung up on & received loud sighs from the staff. I wish I could go to another pharmacy chain because this location has made me not like CVS. I only go here because it is who my insurance is partnered with but at this point I will rather pay more for prescriptions than to deal with the unnecessary attitudes. The pharmacy in this location appears to be chronically understaffed. Wait times are often long and, aside from the pharmacist, the pharmacy staff can be difficult to deal with. I spent a few hours trying to work out a vacation override. The insurance company asked the pharmacist to call for approval a f the staff member refused to do that. Thank goodness the insurance company was nice enough to call CVS. Of course, when they did call CVS' systems were down (happens a lot). They recommended waiting a few hours and trying all over again. We've learned to go to other locations - the Target location is nicer - or do more at Walgreens. read more

Review of pharmacy only: Do not use this CVS for pharmacy purposes. For starters they are constantly out of key medications & last time they failed to inform us they were out of stock until 30 mins before closing time. The Dr. had sent the script over to them at 11am. What had they been doing with the script all day? Due to this factor, we were unable to pick up badly needed medication and cherry on top, other nearby pharmacies that may have had it in stock were now closing. It was a Friday night and the tech behind the counter nonchalantly called out that the meds could be in on Monday but she didn't know for sure. They gave me a location that might have the medicine and I could try calling (good thing I called-the other CVS did not have it but provided correct information with a third CVS who did have it, sadly none of it mattered as they were all closed by this point). A couple months later foolish me, I thought for sure the problems experienced were one offs but no. I requested a refill of a prescription at 7am & received notification that it would not be ready the same day. It would be ready in the afternoon the following day. This is not a prescription that needs to be counted out or measured mind you. If they are out of stock they need to let customers know so we can make back up plans. People need their medication. If you need your medication on a timely schedule AVOID this location. They are rude and do not care if they give out incorrect information. read more

I understand that all retail pharmacies are under a lot of stress, made worse by the COVID aftermath. I work in healthcare and know this stress firsthand. So I expect issues when filling scripts at this pharmacy location, as I have some problem with nearly every single thing they fill for me, but I try to be patient and appreciative, and just advocate for myself. My most recent encounter with the staff here, however, was shockingly unacceptable. To make a long story short, I spent over 3 cumulative hours over several days waiting on hold to fill a script I've taken daily for YEARS (nothing complicated about it, no prior auth needed, etc.). Each time I called and spoke to pharmacy tech Jasmine, she was RUDE, short with me, unhelpful, and would make promises to follow up that never came to fruition. This cumulated in me waiting on hold again last night for 1.5 hours+ hours after I called AGAIN (when I didn't receive the call back I was promised); she eventually answered the call, then told me to "hold on" and put me on hold. Well she never took me off hold, and left me on the phone until the pharmacy closed and they all left. No return call this morning. Today, now over 5 days later, I finally took off work and drove to the pharmacy in person to get my medication, as I am 37 weeks pregnant and cannot miss a dose. Jasmine was there and knew exactly who I was (so why didn't she just help me so I would leave her alone?), and low and behold there was no issue with the med and it was filled in 5 minutes while I stood there. All the while she yelled at me and told me all the ways this wasn't her fault. I tried to speak to the pharmacist, Joo Young Kim, to see what the issue was so it doesn't happen again or with my other scripts, but he was also very rude and basically ignored me - he wouldn't even look me in the eye. I write this review to warn others who may not be able to advocate for themselves - avoid this place at all costs. I worry about their elderly and medically complex patients trying to navigate the complete ineptitude (on top of bad attitudes) of the staff here. I would never step foot in a CVS Pharmacy again if it weren't for my prescription benefit plan, but this one may be the worst of the worst. read more

I usually do NOT go to CVS for anything. Due to recent changes in my insurance, I can no longer use Walgreens as my pharmacy of choice - so by default I decided to try CVS. Needless to say, going to this location's Pharmacy reminded me why I stayed the hell away from CVS. The Pharmacy Tech Tabatha is a real bitch. Has an attitude from the start. Her tone of voice - you can tell she has a miserable life, or miserable work life, maybe both - but that's none of my concern. If you don't want to work, don't go to work and vomit your useless, slow, bitchy attitude on the rest of the world. Workers like her is the reason businesses go out of business and then managers wonder why their review rating is below 2.5/5.0. That little girl needs to get the boot! read more

This CVS tries but the pharmacy is constantly understaffed. Everything takes a long time so just don't be in a hurry. I think they could use more customer service training. Learning a few key phrases and looking your customers in the eye would go a long way. But still, they need more people. read more

The pharmacy department of CVS Mt Vernon has always treated us well. We use the drive thru mostly. The times I needed to talk to a pharmacist has always been pleasant and helpful. It is a very busy pharmacy. I am surprised there are not more reviews, meaning most people are satisfied. read more

What good is a pharmacy if they can't fill a prescription or tell you when it can be filled? Avoid this CVS like the plague, the pharmacists have no idea when certain drugs will arrive, when or if prescriptions can be filled, or if any other CVS's in the area have inventory. The four or five pharmacists that work there provided me multiple conflicting messages about whether a drug is inventory, will arrive, has arrived but was sold earlier in the day, or whether they will take a prescription in advance or not. While it's somewhat amusing to watch them argue among themselves for a few minutes, it gets old and frustrating after waiting awhile. It would be far more helpful for customers and the pharmacists if they would post a sign on the outside of the store that said something like "we don't fulfill Adderall, Focalin, Concerta, Metadate, Ritalin, Daytrana, Quillivant, Methylin, Aptensio, Quillichew etc. at this location." read more

Good morning. I was in town/needed a few toiletries. The price was way off at checkout from shelf price of a 4 pack of toothbrushes. I brought the difference to the attention of the cashier/he didn't hesitate to seek assistance to correct the discrepancy. So many times some establishments will think its your fault as a patron for there overlook. Alecia went above her call of duty when taking care of us/by informing us we also had a additional coupon we could use that was attached to the original receipt/lots of times customers will not read receipts. She didn't have to do/she did. Very impressive! Thank you guys for your customer with all the hysteria going on in society right know. I also saved some money because of Alicia and staff that so kind/professional. Take them to dinner!! read more

I have been a customer of CVS Pharmacy for years, and have made use of their national presence. In the past four years I been a customer of CVS in Florida, Georgia, NY, NJ, California, Texas, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. This particular pharmacy has consistently provided the worst customer service of any I've ever visited. On more than one occasion I have ordered a refill (IN PERSON!) and they have FORGOTTEN about it. They say I can pick it up at 4PM, but it isn't ready when I arrive at 4:30. On one occasion it took them over an hour to fill a simple refill - while they stood around chatting about their personal lives. Most recently I decided to stop using this Pharmacy when they refilled an old prescription instead of filling the one I had dropped off that day. Thank goodness that at least I was paying attention. Also - the store's parking lot is difficult to get in and out of. There is another store just down the street at 2500 Mount Vernon, and I suggest trying that one. read more

I have utilized CVS for many years, even worked at one setting up a new store in the early 90's, and always find that its my go to, for essentials. I tried another chain Rite Aid, (Dunwoody) its just not as nice. No thrifty ice cream in the one I went to. Must be a west coast thing. Most of the time I get great service at CVS, but have witnessed poor customer service by a manager at this particular CVS in Dunwoody. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. read more

WTF? I go thru the drivethru b/c i do not need to be around anyone. I'm sick. You know??? I wait for freaking ever in the parking lot with their acknowledgment that I wasn't going to bring my script in which doesn't take NEARLY as long b/c I didn't want to sit in there coughing and terrible and that I'd be in the parking lot. I waited 45 min to check on my script, I go back thru and she says that it'll be another 30 minutes. The lady was so smug with her facial expressions, too. I said "Look, I need that medicine. I'm fading fast and I can't wait any longer. I know it would be quicker to come inside but y'all don't want me in there." Smug sorry is all I got. I said, "As soon as I pull in the driveway, i'll be notified that it's ready." AND GUESS WHAT? Now I have to wait another f'n hour to get meds I needed 2 hours ago. Y'all suck. I'm never going back there again. Do all pharmacies suck? Walgreens also sucks beside them. I'm glad I don't have cancer or something really serious. This review is for the Pharmacy section. The 'store' section is fine...typical of CVS locations. I've been using CVS Pharmacies for years (6 or 7 years now) and this location is by far the worst. The 'customer service', if you want to call it that, is non-existent. In the 1.5 years I've been going there, I've always been treated like an inconvenience. I always have to stand and wait a good 5 minutes at the counter before being noticed. Then, I'm noticed and it's another 5 minutes before I'm finally spoken to in a condescending manner. I've come to expect it. But, after last week, I've changed pharmacies and won't go back. I don't often walk out, but last week I did and went one shopping center over to Walgreens, where I'll go from now on (note: as I was walking into Walgreens, there was a note on the door that said something like "tied of being treated bad by your pharmacy...try ours"! Sounds like the good people at Walgreens know the reputation of their neighboring rival). Anyway, last week, I was virtually ignored for a good 10 minutes. All I wanted was some Mucinex-D, which by Federal Regulations, I have to show an ID to get. No problem...not CVS's rule...it's a federal thing...I understand. Now, I don't know the specifics of the regulation, but I know I've had Pharmacy assistants ring me up. This particular day, a guy with a 'pharmacy tech' name tag finally came over to me after my 10 minutes of waiting. Of the other 4 people behind the counter, not one had even made eye contact or otherwise acknowledged my existence (again, normal for this location). The tech asked me what I needed and I told him. He grabbed it, put it aside and said a Pharmacist would have to ring me up, but she was busy. Ok...I'll wait a few minutes. Another 10 minutes go by. Nothing further except the tech keeps looking my way and I can tell he's concerned that I've been waiting so long. He truly never got the proper training that the rest of the staff got, which probably clearly states to ignore the customer at all costs. About another 5 minutes is all I can take, so I left and it took about 1 minute to get to Walgreens. I had the Mucinex-D in hand and paid for in about another 3 minutes. The guy's nametag at Walgreens said 'pharmacy assistant.' So, I don't know the differences of 'tech' or 'assistant' and how it pertains to the federal regulation of pseudoephedrine, os maybe there was a reason the 'tech' couldn't enter my ID in to the computer. But that's not really the point. This experience broke the camel's back and after many, many years, I'm no longer a CVS pharmacy customer. I really hate that I have to give them even one star. They don't deserve it. read more

The pharmacy techs here are borderline incompetent, I attempted for 3 days to have a prescription refilled at this location, and did not succeed. I normally filled prescriptions at the Ashford Dunwoody location (which has its own issues which I will not get into here), but decided to switch locations as it would be more convenient to pick up at the Mt Vernon location on my way into work. I requested that my primary care office call in a refill to the Mt Vernon location on Tuesday February 11th, I did not have an opportunity to stop that day on my way home from work and planned to pick it up the following morning. When I arrived on Wednesday morning, I was informed they did not have a prescription for me and that I needed to contact my Dr office. I phoned my Dr's office and was informed the prescription WAS phoned in the previous day and they would call the CVS to follow up and get it straightened out. So I went along to work and planned to stop back again the following morning, Thursday. The following morning I arrive at the CVS and am again informed they do not have a prescription for me and asked if I'm certain I am at the correct location, to which I inform them, I most certainly am. They inform me that it shows a prescription at the other location, but nothing at their store, and if I wanted to transfer it, it would take 2 hours. So I call the Dr's office again, to which I was told they definitely called the correct store and was even in communication with the pharmacist the previous afternoon (Wednesday) to answer a question from them as to the milligram dosage in the prescription (which is on file at the CVS and have had this script filled at CVS every month for over a year...) which means the pharmacy was aware the prescription was called in and had all the information they needed. So my Dr's office AGAIN called the pharmacy that Thursday morning to hopefully straighten out the confusion. I decide to leave work a little early assuming everything was straightened out that Thursday afternoon to return back to the pharmacy, as I am now completely out of my daily pills. Before I leave work, I phone the CVS to confirm the prescription was ready (which I thought was overkill as they surely would have it straightened out by now right? wrong) to which I was told they didn't have any prescriptions there yada yada yada same story. I was then told, the prescription looks like it was redirected from their store to the other location as someone assumed it was a mistake and was intended for the other location despite the multiple calls from my Dr's office regarding this prescription. So I again inform the individual, it is intended to be filled at this store hence the multiple phone calls daily from my Dr's office. To which she then informs me, they will not be able to fill that prescription until APRIL 4TH due to it just being filled at the other CVS !!??????? (not that it matters at all, but this script is not an opioid, or any kind of pain killer, its for gout ) I tell her forget the whole thing, I will never be filling any prescriptions at this CVS and I cannot believe that this has been such an ordeal. I then drive across town during rush hour to the Ashford Dunwoody location, wait in line for 15 minutes, only to be told, you guessed it; they don't have my prescription it appears its being filled at the Mt Vernon location... I will never ever set foot in another CVS as long as I live, I had the script called in at the Kroger Pharmacy and had it filled without issue. As some of the other negative reviews had mentioned, the attitude of the staff was smug and unprofessional, I wouldn't be surprised if this location and all CVS's are out of business in the very near future. read more

I love this pharmacy. We have used them since we moved here 20 years ago and have never had an issue. The pharmacists are knowledgeable and friendly. They point out side effects that may happen and are quick to fill a prescription when you are sick I also love how easy it is to transfer prescriptions to other states. When our daughter went to college in NC, it was a piece of cake. Same for our son in Milledgeville, GA. read more

Went there looking for some cleaning supplies and bath supplies. Both were available but brands were limited. Customer service is what I want to complain about. A cashier/probably manager, an African man, has back talked and been rude to me and my sister/father at least on 2 occasions. The only reason we went there was because its the first pharmacy we found after moving into a new neighborhood. Good Customer service is something I look for everywhere I ago and unfortunately CVS, Mt. Vernon has let me down multiple times. Goodbye CVS, hello Walgreens. read more

The store staff (if I recall correctly his name was Roland) was very unmannered and even went far as to tell us that we were in an "upscale" pharmacy by butting into a conversation about prices that he clearly wasn't invited into. The pharmacists at 1610 Mt. Vernon Rd. Suite 100, Dunwoody, GA (#4537 store) are unhelpful and indifferent, bordering on rude. I am a loyal CVS customer. Because CVS #4537 is closest to work and home, I continuously tried that pharmacy. I unfortunately have several needed medications. I have taken my business from that CVS. I don't understand why these pharmacists have unacceptable behavior with impunity. read more

Love this store and its customer service. It never fails that I'm greeted as I come through the door and I'm always asked if they can help me find what I need. Wonderful customer service in the pharmacy dept as well. They send me text when it's time for a refill, and a text when it's ready for pick up. They are always helpful. With all the discounts sent from CVS to me by email, and with the CVS Care care, I find plenty of bargains on everyday items. At times, when it is slow, the cashier is away from the register performing other duties and you may have a wait a few seconds, or look for someone, but in the big scheme of life, it is not an issue for me. read more
