The other pharmacies in my area were out of what I needed, and this CVS even had the generic. The pharmacists were fine, the beauty products section was neat and well-stocked. Bertha C. and the customer behind her at the register both had to wait a bit for their cash back, which I didn't quite understand. The parking lot is oddly shaped and you can't enter/exit from Figueroa. Reckon I'll be back when I need a refill. Cluttered, dirty store and they won't let their customers use any of their restrooms.

Usually I don't have any problems here at this CVS, but recently this one incident prompted me to write this 2 star review. This Pharmacy staff at times could have an attitude, but this one lady really got on my nerves. She was arguing with me for at least 20 mins, and when I did come to pick up my medication, with them knowing I was coming, She told me I would have to wait 30 mins till a pharmacist came back.. from where who knows. But there was no one there that could help me.. stupid. And another time, similar situation had happen, went in to print some photos, and the clerks there apparently aren't trained in that department, and there was no one there to help me. And I had to wait another 30 mins just for a clerk who was trained in that field.. stupid. And because of those 2 incidents, I try to avoid that CVS at all cost, waste of my time and money!! read more

The only thing this place is good for are those hour long lunch breaks when you have nothing better to do then shop for christmas presents. They were out of sugar, the photo booth was broken, and the line was like I was at disneyland with no space mountain. A pretty fair sized cvs with all the standard stock including beer, beauty products, a freezer section for food, and photo development...and firewood?!....and garden furniture in winter?!...Sometimes I wonder if CVS has an identity crisis, but who I am I to comment. I'm sure someone must have walked in for some Preparation H and come out with a patio set, otherwise they wouldn't be stocking it! The pharmacy has a drive through, so for those driving here, you can get to the parking lot and drive through either from the La Loma or Colorado Blvd sides. I've rarely seen it crowded and the staff and pharmacists all seem pretty friendly. Keep an eye out for the occasional low prices that can sometimes be a better bargain than the Vons next door. read more

Its CVS. It is crammed with many things I'll never need, most of which will make you fat or kill you. Some of their stuff is incredibly over-priced, especially in the area of energy drinks. I can order them online - retail - for a lot less, and I do. Their pharmacy is great. I picked up a friend's Viagra and aside from asking me if I needed to ask the pharmacist any questions, I didn't feel judged by the woman at the counter. Every time I'm in here, I hear the voice come over the loud-speaker alerting security to be ready - that some shifty figure has entered the building. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but they make it SO noticeable. "Security, some schmuck has entered, please watch this dude because he's likely to try and steal our stuff and we need to make sure we get an accurate height measurement fromt he little sticker on the front door if he does ... so, be ready!" read more

Would give it zero stars if I could. I live nearby and stop in probably twice a month attempting to buy various personal care or household necessities, and RARELY end up buying anything-- why?! Because 1.) there are NEVER employees at the checkout. They're always hanging out in the back of the store, there's occasionally ONE person randomly out on the floor, and you either have to track them down or wait for ten years at the counter. 2.) I was denied a CVS card by an employee who didn't feel like taking the time to issue one for me. I signed up online when I got home, but it was still incredibly rude and just didn't make sense. 3.) Final straw was this morning-- I went in to buy some makeup, and an employee I run into there frequently was restocking makeup. She rolled straight up to me with her cart, said "you'd better move out of the way or you're going to get hurt". UM, WHAT?! Not only was this inconsiderate, it was oddly threatening. I tossed the items I wanted to purchase aside and left, but not without giving the manager the full rundown of what happened. I work two customer service jobs so I know the days can be grueling and you encounter lots of people you'd rather not, but I've never threatened a customer or denied them things that cost me literally no personal time or energy-- seriously, when i'm on the clock its literally MY ONE JOB to make sure people get what the need and leave satisfied. Worlds most awkward parking lot award? Congratulations CVS. This location is nestled on an oddly-shaped lot that makes me a tiny bit nervous at night. I cannot explain why. It's a CVS. It usually has what I want. After circling the aisles a bit, I tend to find what I was looking for. OMG .... where do I start ?? I have ALWAYS had trouble getting my prescription medications filled in a timely manner from CVS. EVERY time they need to contact my workers compensation adjuster for the medications... and it's been the same medications since 1989 !!!! The same 3 every month. Just yesterday June 18 th. I dropped off my prescriptions to be filled. I KNOW THEY HAVE TO CONTACT THE ADJUSTER. I call them today about 3:15 p.m. to inquire about my MUCH NEEDED DAILY medications. Are they ready ? NO. Did they call the adjuster? YES, did they get authorization for all three as needed? NO. She says," I guess I'll call them again".... WT ??????? She doesn't get authorization for all three as needed... but just one. How lame is THAT !? There are clearly three on the list I handed him. I get the same meds since 1989 and from the SAME Dr... SAME adjuster for the same medications!!!!!! WOW... talk about people who don't take pride in their work ethics! Talk about professionals who DO NOT CARE that you need your meds filled WHEN YOU DROP THEM OFF. OH.... and then when you give them your number, you get bombarded with robot calls and advertising.... WHO NEEDS THIS ABUSE ?? I suggest NOT USING CVS FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN BUYING TOILET PAPER OR TOOTHPASTE!! I'm not sure why I keep giving this CVS chances. Every time I've gone there's always been an issue, but today was the straw that broke the camels back. I went in and asked to print a document and was told that I could do so at the Kodak station. Great! Connected my phone via WiFi to their system, attached my documents to the print queue, and then done... or so I thought. Gave it about 5 min but nothing happened. I asked one of the employees for assistance and he said the paper wasn't loaded. He loaded a stack, and it didn't reprint as it was already completed in the system. No problem, I'll try again. Did the same routine and then presto it started printing! I went to the register and handed the cashier my receipt and she charged me and took my cash prior to handing me the printed documents. As soon as I felt the paper, I noticed it was glossy photo paper and not a normal sheet of paper for a document; A pen would smear on this surface. I immediately told this to the cashier and to the employee standing there and they claimed this was the only paper Kodak gave them. Well, if that is the case (which I doubt), that would've been nice to know prior to me wasting 25 minutes inside your store. Just like everyone else in LA, you don't value anyone's time and here's your rating for it. Not even an apology uttered, not even a breath bothered to offer a refund on such a small transaction. We had to stop using this pharmacy because the pharmacy REEKS of perfume. It wafted out the drive through window each time we went and then, I brought home two prescriptions and the bottles REEKED. Having a family member with severe asthma, this is the last thing we needed to bring home from the pharmacy. Had to empty the bottles, scrub them with baking soda and vinegar to get rid of the scent. VERY unprofessional for a medical staff to use so much fragrance that it affects sick people. Awful. Going to Vons from now on. The staff there doesn't put their toxic stamp on our medications. read more

Went to this CVS with my 94 year old Mother today. She needs a roll around basket to substitute for a walker. 10,000 sq foot store and they only had ONE "market basket". I asked "only one?" They told me all the others had been stolen and are in the LA River by now. We waited 10 plus minutes for the one basket currently at the checkout as the customer kept swiping through her Facebook/whatever and the cashier who lacked English skills and brains couldn't manage all the CVS coupon stuff, took her five minutes to check out (I counted) eight items. Finally got the one roll around "shopping basket". I set my Mother free to do her shopping. I wondered around and was shocked by the total RIP OFF prices they charge for many things I buy elsewhere. AND to BOOT, 10,000 sq foot store with only TWO employees. Big line, one cashier. NEVER taking my Mother here again. Target, cheaper, better service. CVS and RiteAid totally are rip offs. read more

I get emails for 30%, 40% off single item. Every time I go to a CVS they don't see it on my card and they don't see it with an email at certain stores. This time it happened at this location. If this location before I had helpful managers who gave me my discount using their own store card because they could see the email which showed I had sent the discount to my phone. Yesterday I was not helped by a young hispanic women, she was the manager she said there was nothing she could do for me. I explained what the problem was with CVS emails that every time I'd come and talked to the manager they had given me my discount she refused. I went to the CVS on Figueroa in highland park and the very helpful manager gave me my discount within five minutes! I have shopped at the CVS on Colorado where this incident happened mini many times for seven years. I have filled out 10 prescriptions I have shopped there and bought things at least 20 times! I will never step foot in this CVS again if I could give no stars I would! I hope the top manager reads this yelp review! read more

I been getting all my prescription medication filled here on a regular basis for about 15 years now so their Pharmacy department knows me by name. They've always gotten the prescriptions filled quickly and actually called me once when my normal prescription changed just to be sure. I moved a few miles away with a different CVS that is actually closer to my home now but I'm sticking with this one. read more

It's location is really in an odd place to start with...it's located off of Colorado near Figueroa and the parking lot is really shaped strange because you can't enter or exit from Figueroa? Anyway let me get back to the store it is well sized like all the other CVS stores it's just not very neat or clean or well taken care of like some of the other locations. Terrible service at the pharmacy, and it's not the first time! No respect or class from the Pharmacist or the pharm-tech's, I was sitting there waiting for help and there little alarm for the drive thru window goes off to alert them they have a customer when I hear and pretty loud btw, oh shut up you stupid customer WOW how class less! When I filled my allergy meds here three months ago, the staff was all very nice. However, I didn't really need the allergy meds, so after trying them a few weeks, I threw them out. Well, ever since, this CVS has been calling my phone repeatedly. Sometimes twice a day. Leaving blank two second messages. I guess to ask me if I want to refill? I'm starting to feel stalked. This CVS is my favorite go-to store for everything from last minute desert runs to pick up a pint of gelato to getting cat food, makeup, vitamins and even packing and shipping bubble-wrap envelopes. Conveniently located in Eagle Rock, it's great for locals or anyone passing through the Figueroa St./Colorado Blvd. intersection needing a stop-in store for essentials. I joined the Extra Care rewards club and get additional savings on products I need. The store managers and associates are always personable and if it's not terribly busy at the registers, you will be greeted upon entry. One manager is very discreet about my giving my phone number for the Extra Care when I'm checking out, and he lets me punch in my number instead of saying it aloud so I don't have to worry if the guy in line behind me is going to hear it. There are some great weekly sales here as well, and I'll find myself getting items like diapers for the tot, Kashi cereal or Ben and Jerry's ice cream, or even a hairbrush or pack of Hanes underwear or socks at a great price. CVS was criticized once recently for having some policy about having employees weigh in, but what's not to like about health-consciousness. Also, they set the precedent for stopping cigarette sales, and gained my regular patronage for being so bold as to forfeit profit for health-consciousness. For the environmentally conscious, you can choose to have your receipt e-mailed to you. I tried this temporarily but didn't want to miss the ease of receiving my coupons or Extra Bucks rewards right away in hand. For organization and cleanliness of the store, great customer service, and selection, I give this store 5 stars. What's not to love?! read more

Nice clean store run by good people but they seriously need to not be cheap and go back to hiring a full-time security guard due to all the mentally disturbed homeless people living behind the post office, in the park and under the freeway bridge. I was driving out my area and had to stop, I was immediately greeted and assisted with what I was looking for. The manager there was amazing she immediately opened up other cash registers to assist customers when it got busy, and helped me to get my extra bucks correctly when I was purchasing my items. I change my insurance and had to switch to CVS pharmacies. I asked my MD to call in my RX to the Eagle Rock pharmacy that is closest to my home in Pasadena. I called in to check to see if my RX was filled. I was put on hold 3 times and after an extended wait, I was hung up on, each time. At one time, the pharmacist answered and said he would check to see if my RX was ready. He again put me on hold, went away and then hung up. The fourth time I called, and after an extended wait, I was asked again to hold. I said "Please don't put me on hold again". They then hung up. I do not want to deal with this pharmacy!!! I will call my MD and ask if she will call my RX into a different CVS. If I have the same experience with them--I don't know what I will do. This is really the worse service I have ever experienced from a pharmacy. I was so happy with my RiteAid in La Canada. I am really sad that my insurance doesn't use them. read more

Can't believe I'm writing a review of CVS but I am - this location used to be so tragic - but now the folks who work there are super helpful, energetic and upbeat. The pharmacy is first-rate - they will come out from behind the counter to assist in finding items, and although some of the items are locked up, are super responsive to unlocking. I purchase my prescription drugs here and my sundries as well. You can save a bundle with the Extra Care rewards card. I think the sales are sometimes better than Target. If you use coupons from the Sunday Times you can save even more. The key is to buy your favorite products three ways - one, purchase the item when it's on sale, two, using the extra bucks and three, with an accompanying coupon. The store is not gargantuan so it's easy to maneuver and it's well-stocked for the most part. read more

Horrible customer service, they changed the Manufacturer of the brand I use for my medication and didnt bother to tell me. When I got home I noticed the pills were different. I called them up and told them, they said they changed brands and no longer carry the former. The easy resolution they said was to find a pharmacy that does carry it and have them call them and they would transfer the prescription. I found a pharmacy that carried the brand and had them call CVS. I get a call from the new pharmacy saying they cannot transfer because there is no more refills and have to call CVS again. I call CVS and they said I have to have my doctor write a new prescription and send it to the new pharmacy. They could of saved my all this time and phone call as they knew this all along. Now I spent money on pills I cannot take and have to have my doctor write a new prescription and wait. The person who helped me didnt seem interested and had no patience to stay on the phone. Will no longer be using this pharmacy. Check the medication as new brands can effect you based on what fillers they use. read more
