My experience today with the pharmacy technician, Gaby, was completely unacceptable and upsetting. I was under the impression I could pick up both of my prescriptions, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Gaby exhibited a deeply disrespectful demeanor. She forced me to repeat myself multiple times and essentially made me yell out the specific medication I needed in a public space, which felt like a massive violation of my privacy. Even after I went and sat down to speak directly with the original pharmacist to sort out the issue, Gaby continued trying to shout things or talk over to me across the room. The pharmacist's excellent customer service AFTER HER was completely overshadowed by Gaby's unprofessionalism and total lack of discretion. I hope management addresses her behavior. I brought my wife here a day early to check on the LabCorp facility in the store. We had never been here before. A Walgreens employee helped us in getting an answer from the LabCorp technician which resulted in my wife getting her blood drawn a day earlier and to avoid a long fast the next day. The consistent rudeness at this pharmacy always surprises me. I get a medication there that I can't get at my regular pharmacy. Today I went there just before 2 pm and it was closed for lunch. They didn't open until 2:10 and there were 7 people in line. No apologies. It's always an unpleasant experience. read more

I've always been pleased with the service I've received by both pickup and carry-out at this Walgreens. The pharmacy is located convenient to the front doors along Lake. They have been very helpful in obtaining some hard-to-get prescriptions that have been ordered for me. They have kept me informed about how my body would react to different medications. The smile and the knowledge are both appreciated. Both text and email updates are available. There is sometimes a small wait , depending on what time you visit the pharmacy. The store area keeps changing and they now provide convenient shopping for household necessities. Easy checkout by the back parking lot. Quick parking is available in the Southlake parking area adjacent to Walgreens back entrance with easy access with ramp or stairs. Delivery service is available for pharmaceuticals. read more

I ran out of a prescription while I was out in Pasadena visiting and so I went and transferred one of my prescriptions to the pharmacy here and I'm really glad that I did. They were able to fill it overnight and then I walked here to go and pick it up in the pharmacist was super nice and really helpful. When I went to go and check out, there was a coupon available that the cashier mentioned to me as well so I was able to get my Chapstick at a discounted price and I really appreciated it. This has been my pharmacy for over 25 years. Today I had an insurance question about a prescription. I went to the Consultation window. The pharmacist looked up at me with a stern look on her face and said "Do you have a question?" Huge attitude like I was bothering her. I said "Of course I do...". "What is it?" She replied. No greeting and no friendliness about her. I said "Never mind!" The concern was personal and private. I walked away. A few moments later I approached a regular pharmacy associate who kindly answered my question. A smile and a greeting would have gone a long way. read more

My go-to Walgreens! I love this location and I can always find parking even though it is in a busy area. I come here for many things and one of my favorite is the free photo coupons I walked through the aisles to the photo center and one employee acknowledged me right away and asked if I needed a photo. It's like he read my mind! He asked my name, found my photo, scanned it, and it was mine! Easy peasy. My husband and I like walking here a lot too for good exercise and it's convenient location. read more

This Walgreens is very conveniently located, and parking is super easy. I believe it's a pretty busy location, so sometimes they'll be low on popular items etc I've been here many times and even if there's a long line, it's always moving fast :) read more

Solid place. Well maintained and the photo booth is super quick. The pharmacy people have always been great as well. One knock is it feels understaffed. There are check-out areas by the parking lot and facing lake and you frequently have to run down a cashier from the other side if you need something from the lake side. read more

I got my flu shot here the other day and it was smooth, safe, friendly and fast! I made the Appt on their website with my Walgreens account and everything went smoothly with the friendliness of the staff! I also needed to buy some allergy medicine and the staff that helped me was really friendly and just pleasant and warm which is always a win! :) read more

I will simply share my story here for anyone thinking of using their pharmacy services. Walked in this morning at 10 am with my family. I asked Pauline, pharmacist, and Kathy, tech, if they could accommodate my 5 yr old for a flu shot. We did not have an appointment. Pauline said to go online and make an appt as they are appt only, but that actually they are full today for flu shots. I asked "are you sure?". She did not check the schedule but replied "yes to my knowledge". I stand by the window and go online, and see 2:15, 2:30, and 2:45 open. I asked if I could book the 2:15. Kathy sighs and asks Pauline if they provide vaccines for 5 year olds (the front door of Walgreens clearly states they do, for ages 3+), and responds that yes we can make the appointment. She advised not to come early because they are at lunch from 1:30-2. I ask if they could provide a favor and give my child the vat that moment because we were already there, and she said no. Okay, understandable. We return at 2:15 for our appointment. Pauline runs our insurance and denies my child her flu shot because our insurance "isn't contracted" with walgreens. No vaccine administered. No smile. No apology. Never tried to run insurance for us prior. Overall a poor experience that left us reeling from their intentionally rude service. Walgreens Photo is coming a long way, and I will likely continue using certain services at other locations, but in my experience Photo Department management at 310 S Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA is either nonexistent or severely lacking. I ordered 400 business cards and received both an email and text stating they were ready for pickup. A few hours later, I arrived to pick up my order to find the cards had not been cut. I mentioned having received the notification, and the employee told me, "That's just an automated text.." with a somewhat unapologetic tone (as if I shouldn't have driven the 20 minutes to Walgreens based on that notification). I was informed the cutting machine was broken and that the business cards would have to be cut manually. I asked nicely how long it would take and got only, "It's going to take a while.." I had to try to get an actual estimate by mentioning I didn't live all that close by and was trying to decide if I should stay in the area, asking her, "Maybe like an hour?" The employee confirmed the hour estimate, and I ended up coming back the following day just to be safe. When I returned, a young man who appeared to be taking on new managerial roles had an even less apologetic tone when the cards were revealed to have been cut extraordinarily unevenly. More than half looked to be unusable as the cut extended well past the image design that was submitted. I asked if the mistake would've been avoided if the cutting machine were working, and the employee told me yes, adding, "Normally I cancel these orders, I don't know why she accepted the order." I asked if there were plans to fix the machine, since this is the only location relatively near me that offers same-day pickup for this particular service, and he said, "We've tried to fix it, but it just keeps breaking." I was offered a 25% discount, at which point I sifted through the cards again to confirm that more than half were cut at the wrong place. I mentioned more than 50% are unusable and that even the ones cut at the right place seemed to have an uneven cut (as far as I could tell, I'd probably be able to use about a fourth of the cards). I was told, "That's all I can do, I'll get flagged if I do anything more than that." So, rather than offering a more reasonable discount and accepting some revenue, the cards just ended up in the trash, with a total of 80 minutes of wasted driving time and gasoline. read more

This is for the pharmacy. 1. They do not answer their phones. You can sit and wait and wait and they will never pick up. 2. They refuse service to anyone who doesn't have in network insurance. You can be willing to pay out of pocket all you want. They'll make you come into their store just to refuse service to you. read more

German was very courteous and helpful leading me to the aisle to find my cotton swabs. Liz had always provided wonderful friendly services at cashiering counter many times. The technicians at the pharmacy are not problem solvers. They have no interest in helping you outside of the routine transactions. Whenever I encounter medical switching issues (when an insurance company changes prescriptions without me knowing) the technicians at this pharmacy become extremely robotic and even rude when I explain to them what's happening. read more

The displeasure of having to conduct business with the pharmacy at this location is a constant theme here based on all of the other reviews. There is no reason to subject yourself to incompetence and discrimination when there are many other alternatives. Management is absent. Just had them remove me from their system after 10 years. I wanted to leave a review for one of the managers, Romeo who provided such excellent service and ensured that the photo projects I had submitted were printed and processed well. I live out in the LA area and I only trust this Walgreens with my photo projects (canvas prints, holiday cards and photo prints) I would travel from far just to get my prints done here as I am confident in the quality of the jobs. This has been on my mind for awhile and I've decided I should write others about it. I went into the pharmacy to get a Shingrix vaccine shot. The pharmacist there gave me a hugely hard time, giving me misinformation that I HAD TO HAVE both shots of the other, less effective shingles vaccine offered by another pharmaceutical company BEFORE I could get Shingrix, the newer nearly twice as effective vaccine against developing shingles, and further that I'd have to have a doctor's prescription for Shingrix or go to my own doctor to get it. She was somewhat raising her voice at me with a condescending/accusing tone. She was COMPLETELY misinformed. I still can't get over the ineptitude, let alone the personal mistreatment. read more

This location is now my favorite Walgreens. The last time I came, there was another manager, and she was a little annoying. But I won't let that deter me from this business because I was helped today by Romeo. This is the second time I have encountered him; he is charismatic and charming to deal with. He was able to help me purchase my makeup, and he gave me some sweet compliments; he's a fantastic guy, and I appreciate him for handling me with so much care today. He is one of the best managers at Walgreens that I have ever encountered; Romeo needs his own store! Thanks again, Mr. Romeo. Four stars for the staff. One star for Walgreens for cheating customers by charging sales tax on the full price, instead of on the final (discounted) cost. Another system flaw (or on purpose) is that the discount is applied MANUALLY and the burden is on the customer to police their receipts. The cashier has to remember to scan the "coupon" whereas Rite Aid's register automatically applies the discount! Rite Aid is light years ahead!! I'll never ever step a foot into Walgreens again!!! (Unless I have to use the restroom and get some urgent medication or something cold to drink). But otherwise I'll never ever ever go in that corrupt place they call a store! read more

Walgreens has been around for years and I see why. I called here to verify whether they refill ink cartridges for my particular printer model and the associate was most helpful. When I informed him of my printer model his reply was that my model wasn't on their list but he asked that I come to the store anyway so they can try to help me refill the cartridge. This associate stated he wouldn't be there on the day I planned on coming in but stated he'll leave a message for his colleague to assist me. When I brought my cartridge to this store, another associate was able to help me and refilled my cartridge in less than ten minutes for $10, plus tax. This saved me some money because I almost spent double for a new cartridge. Also, I was able to peruse through the aisles of this store and noticed so many good deals. That's one thing about Walgreens, you can always find something on sale! read more

Worst customer service I've ever had. Staff was missing for ~5 minutes entirely. When I did find someone, he acted completely put out that I needed assistance picking up a photo order. That's what's wrong with the store. What's wrong with the company: I took my own passport photo at home and used an expensive camera/software/etc because the last time I paid someone to do it, it was terrible. WALGREENS WILL NOT PRINT A PASSPORT PHOTO. Not only that, they won't tell you until you're in the store, because they want you to pay the full passport photo fee of $16 (instead of $0.37 I was quoted for a 4x6 photo). Their system identifies it as a passport photo and rejects it. This would have been nice to know *before* driving out to the store and waiting for an unhappy staff member to be unhelpful. read more

I called in advance to check if my med was in stock and Pauline was very accommodating and assuring that my prescription would be available at their location. When I got there, Andy and Suzanne, helped me figure out my very complicated insurance situation. Overall, I was able to get everything I needed and in a timely manner. I usually work with the pharmacy, but sometimes I'm there for other shopping. Generally everybody seems very nice and helpful. The occasional moment here and there having to wait for somebody with a key to retrieve a product behind a locked case (I try to go during less busy times)...and even more rarely, waiting for somebody to appear at a register to check out (I've no qualms approaching someone to request checkout if it gets to be "too" long, and they've always been great about getting someone to the register)...but if that's the worst of it?
