I need a refill. The doctor stated to call pharmacy. I was not able to get anyone on the phone. The cycle is frustrating.

I am no longer a Kaup Pharmacy customer and have made the easy decision to move my business to…read moreanother pharmacy due to their inept customer service and blatant dishonestly to me. I have difficulty sleeping and was prescribed Ambien by my physician. The law recently changed which dictates the prescription can no longer be digitally ordered by a doctor but must be hand written for 6 refills requiring a visit to the doctor every six months. My doctor visit was in early December of 2015 at which time I was given a new, 6 month prescription of Ambien. I had one refill left from my prior 6 month script which needed refilling as well. Immediately after my doctor appointment, I went to my home town Kaup Pharmacy and clearly explained to the tech that I needed the final refill of Ambien filled from the old prescription in their system and handed over the new 6 month prescription to be entered into the computer for beginning disbursement January 2016. She acknowledged that she understood and because a few people came into the store, I offered to come back later that afternoon to pick it up. My husband picked up the prescription and later that evening I noticed Kaup had filled the new prescription and not the refill as I had requested. I called Kaup and explained the mixup. The tech took down the appropriate information and said she would research the issue and call me back. I did receive a call back at which time it was explained to me that there was nothing they could do. I became agitated and expressed my dissatisfaction reminding the tech it was their mistake and if they would not make it right, I would move my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The tech put me on hold and 30 seconds later she said they would refill my next prescription using the older refill the next month and then continue filling the medicine with the new prescription. Today I telephone Kaup to refill my Ambien and of course, they said they could not use the older prescription and began conveying a buffet of reasons why not, so I moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Kaup Pharmacy could have easily corrected this situation and saved two patrons business by doing the following; "We are so very sorry Mrs. Bechard. Unfortunately human error did play a role in this problem. Now here is what we are going to do for you to make this right. We will contact your physician, explain what happened and have this matter corrected so you will not need to worry about future refills of your medication." Kaup Pharamacy knowingly lied to me. How can anyone trust a business that is unable to follow directions working with medications that are possibly critical and life saving? Where are the customer care skills to correct a mistake a business clearly made. How can patrons of Kaup trust that they would not be lied to as well? The smiles and promises of caring for customers is a saccharine marketing sham. I will never do business with Kaup again and would urge others to be wary of their practices as well.

*Grocery only review*…read more I shop here twice a week or more since I live five minutes away and I prefer smaller, more frequent grocery orders vs the filled up shopping cart. The grocery is quite good. There is a full service deli counter that's always manned. They prepare the cooked chicken and other takeaway hot food here, and are always available to slice your cold cuts to order. A very respetable charcuterie section too. Very good selection of organic vegetables and meats, and many certified non-GMO items. They are bringing in more of the "Better Goods" product line which includes quality frozen foods and jarred fruit, with ingredient lists that DON'T read like a chemistry textbook. I recently found they now offer a cream cheese without any "gum" additives...made of milk, cream, cheese culture and salt. Imagine that. Employees are around to help you find things. The self-checkout, which is my preference, works well and rarely gets hung up. They often open only half of them, sadly, due to not having enough eyes available to watch for thieves. For some deep-seated psychological reason I never do the Yelp check in here, but trust me I've gotta be the Duchess 10 times over. This is a good grocery store and I recommend you give it a try.

The staff is rude. My medicine is always "on hold" after days and weeks. If I ask them to look into…read moreit, it is magically ready. Same thing happens with my boyfriend. I went in today to get medicine that I still haven't had for a week, and the lady says, "Well, your doctor doesn't work here," when I mentioned that I verified with my doctor that they approved and sent it over. Unprofessional, unnecessary, and unwelcoming.

Personally thinking of starting to drive the 20 minutes to the second closest CVS (even though this…read moreone is a 1 minute walk from me) or anywhere else for my prescriptions. The customer service is horrendous. I understand the volume at which they are helping customers, filling scripts, etc. but that is no excuse to treat your customers poorly - you can still be a nice human while you are stressed and busy. You can genuinely get kinder and quicker service at any college bar here on a bust Friday night. Every time I go in here I leave frustrated after waiting 45 minutes for my script that has been ready for over a day. This past time, they had it sitting in the counter right in front of me for 10-15 minutes before someone came and helped me. The main pharmacist was also very rude to the employees and during my long wait, I heard her yell at the employees. I also do not appreciate when the woman helping me was asking me about my personal prescriptions by shouting from way back in the aisles. I don't exactly want everyone in the whole store to know my personal business. They seriously need to figure it out here.
