After moving to Edmonds and seeing the positive reviews I was looking forward to being a customer…read moreof a local establishment. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I've been extremely disappointed. One of my meds they told me they do not have in stock and will not be ordering it. When I asked why not or if they'd ever order it they said not many of their patients request it. Other times when I've asked about it they said there is often a shortage because it's being over-prescribed which seems like the opposite issue then no one needing it. Still they never offered to carry it so I had to go to a separate pharmacy just for that med. My other meds became more expensive at Edmonds Pharmacy than the other pharmacies so I ended up transitioning them elsewhere. There is never a notification of meds being ready via text/phone or any other method so sometimes I'd go and they'd not have gotten the order or they had something waiting for me for a long time that I didnt know they filled. Today was the last straw though, I tested positive for Covid after having severe symptoms and wanted to get the prescription for Paxlovid filled nearby but when the provider contacted Edmonds Pharmacy they were told that they don't carry Paxlovid. My provider called me shocked and told me it was unbelievable they dont carry this of all things. Please think about the community you're serving and re-evaluate the decision to carry meds your customers are requesting.

There is a world of difference between these two pharmacies! Edmonds Family Pharmacy is always friendly, prompt and texts me about my prescription being ready, even before I've contacted them for a refill! They are on top of their game and I would give them ten stars, if possible! The other benefit is that I like supporting smaller local businesses. I hope that Edmonds Family Pharmacy continues to thrive in our ever-changing market!

There's usually only one person covering the car line and inside at the pharmacy window and I've never seen the pharmacist . When you do get someone they're very nice I feel bad for them that they have no help. I've come in the evening before and couldn't find an employee at all, when she finally arrived it was a young high school girl covering the entire building by herself. I guess Walgreens isn't making enough money to properly staff their buildings.

After parking my car in an open spot, I went inside looking for a magazine to buy. Walking around the store, I found the newsstand section and a number of timely magazine covers. The magazines display made it so I could readily read the names of the different magazines. I opted for a LIFE magazine Jimmy Carter commemorative edition with a pre-tax price tag of $14.99. The copy showed no wear nor markings. In a different section, seasonal offerings - Valentine's Day on this visit, were varied and taste bud-piquing. To make both of my purchases timely in nature, I opted for a package of red velvet Reese's peanut butter cups. Workers at checkout were clear in communication and I encountered no issues with payment (total of less than $19 with tax for both items). I found the parking lot busier when I left than when I arrived.

Please HAVE YOUR MEDICATION COUNTED IN FRONT OF YOU. This is a serious issue. Either the staff is not being careful, they're overworked, or there is a theft issue. Everyone makes mistakes, but the woman who counted my meds swears up and down she didn't which leads me to believe there is something more going on or that she did not want to admit to a fault. The lead pharmacist was very nice when sitting down with me to discuss my concern, but said there is not much they can do other than listen to my concern. They said that they don't count their meds at night and that there was a discrepancy in the amount of meds they should have for the one they filled for me (as they did count after the my incident) that they could not account for. -- This is people's health at risk -- the pharmacy needs to account for it. It not only makes me upset because I paid for the meds, or the fact that I now am short on what my doctor wants me to take, but that this could be an on-going issue. It might not be, but we have a lot of older folks in our community who may not be as vigilant, and I worry about them and everyone who gets there scripts filled there. No matter where I go now, I will get my prescriptions counted in front of me always! You should too.

He always seems friendly and appears to like his job. In the evenings, a young man works the counter (I'm assuming the son or grandson of the man from the morning). He is either surly or indifferent about anyone shopping at the store. I make it my personal mission to ask him lots of pointless questions about nothing in particular and to be as cheerful as possible. I'm sure he thinks I'm crazy, but the look on his face when I walk in the store is like getting two bucks off the six pack of beer that I'm just about to buy. Last time I was there he had a friend with him behind the counter and they were both playing game-boys like a couple of 12 year old boys. I asked him what they were playing and he mumbled something about different games... Not sure what that means, so I asked him how much they charged for a $1 lottery ticket then bought a candy bar and walked out. Please note: If you want to use a credit card you have to buy more then $10 in a single purchase.
