I'm very dependent on CVS for medicines. Plus they have a program where if you spend $5 a month, you get a $10 credit. Also, the staff and pharmacists there are usually in a good mood which is not always easy to pull off. I'm a CVS regular for life. Life is good with a helpful pharmacy! read more

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I do not write reviews ever but this is genuinely the worst cvs iv ever gone to. I picked up medication from this cvs maybe 5 times. Every single time there was an issue on their end. I take bipolar medication, they have messed up my refill every time, forcing me to be off of it for days at a time which is not safe. They have told me everytime that it's not an issue on their end, sending me on a wild goose chase contacting my insurance and provider, just to be told it's a problem on THEIR END. They are incompetent, ignorant, and cannot be trusted if you're on a medication that's critical you pick up on time. read more

There's used to be my go to Cvs because I lived in the area but I have recently moved away. Today I happen to be in the area and had some Cvs extra care bucks that were about to expire so I stopped in when I had a free moment to see what they had on sale. They had Coke on sale buy two get one free. I was surprised to see that it extended to other brands of soda as well. The store was a different layout from the last time that I was here so it took me a little while to get orientated and find the soda section. I was able to get my sodas and there was not a long line at the counter so I did not have to wait very long. I did run into a little bit of an issue, not with the store, but with the CVS app. Apparently they updated it so it was impossible for me to find what my barcode was that I would usually scan in at the register. To make matters worse, I could not remember the phone number that I use when I register for it. The young lady at the counter was very patient and understanding. I felt a little bit bad because the line was backing up, but she was able to find my account through my email address so I could get all of the discounts. Normally, I would not come to CVS for soda because it is usually much more expensive Here But with all of the coupons and bonus books I had it ended up being cheaper than any grocery store that I would've gone to. I also needed some chewing gum that I found on sale at the front counter. It was a good experience, and the understanding staff made may not feel so bad by holding up the line. read more

This is the worst CVS I've ever spent time in. I don't mind a business being busy, but most of the staff are extremely rude. The pharmacy cashier had unpasteurized interactions with me and 3 other customers that I witnessed. I went to buy candy at the front but the cashier, Mary, ignored me and every other costumer. She continued to ignore her own coworkers and made it clear that she was frustrated about having to answer the ringing phone. Aside from being customers at CVS, those of us ignored by that rusty crotch cricket , Mary, only had one "characteristic" in common. My local CVS Pharmacy on Old Dobbin Road did not have my prescription available so they called it into this location. It was ready within an hour. It was about 7:30 when I arrived. There was two people in front of me, but the line moved pretty quickly. I think I heard someone call for assistance at the pharmacy register. The associate who assisted me allowed me to pay for a few items at the register which I appreciated. This location offers free flu shots with most insurance and has a Minute Clinic. Your one-stop shop to take care of all your medical needs in one visit. read more

There's been a serious decline in this pharmacy's performance. We started using them three years ago when they were 24 hours. Now they're down to about 12. They used to refill promptly; now it seems to take three consults with the computer or two by phone directly with the pharmacist to get a refill. Waiting on the phone is usually 20 to 40 minutes before it's picked up. Fills used to take a couple of hours; now it can run the better part of a week. It's like living in parts of the third world. My wife wants to change to another CVS since her medical insurance uses Caremark but the computers seem so integrated that it's a scary prospect to try to change everything for little if any gain. It would be helpful to have some corporate CVS response that this location is being cleaned up. read more

CVS on old Waterloo are the worst. They should be ashamed of themselves. They refuse to answer calls. They shutdown the drive thru all the time forcing sick people to come inside to spread their illness. When I went to pick up my meds they failed to tell me they were out of stock instead they told me to come back in one hour. I have been calling for days and now I am out of my meds. I called the CVS in Jessup to get the meds from them. They have it in stock but cannot transfer it because CVS on Old Waterloo refused to answer the phone so that they could process the transfer. read more

I really tried to be patient with this cvs. I waited a full 24 hours after my doctor put in a request for my medication to be filled. I get text updates so I knew it was sent. When I called I gave my first and last name and alerted the woman who took my call that I even checked the online portal before she said they never got a request I asked her to check again since I saw on my end that it is sent and pending. She said the system only has one of my last names (It's hyphenated) so use just the one next time. I asked if we could just fix it in the system since they'er both my last names and she said "it wouldn't fit on the bottle". She said she found the prescription request and that she will "expedite" it to be done within the hour. However when I went to pick it up over 3 hours later the woman at the counter said it was not ready but she will "expedite" it. I told her that it was already expedited 3 hours ago. She looked at me with a blank face and said it's not ready wait for a text. The lack of empathy! I work in healthcare so I understand the importance of compassion and communication with a client, there was none of that today and certainly no clear communication between coworkers. read more

I watched them talk ugly to two or more people before me and when I got to the counter I was geared up for battle and Dan was still rude no hello no questions he tried to figure out our old address instead of asking me what was my old or new address!!! We have been using this CVS for over 20 years for Rx! Mostly for the convenience of passing it frequently bc of shopping on that side of town. However- my last situation- I will not be going back! My doctors office sent over Rx to be filled for an upcoming surgery and told us to be sure to pick up meds PRIOR to day of surgery- the doctors office sent them over a week before surgery. I picked up the meds- giving my name and they said, yep, we have 2. Gave me the 2, sent me on my way. Today, after surgery- I go to take the meds and there should have been 3. So which place made the mistake? Call the doctor office- they sent over 3 Rx. Call CVS- on hold for 30 minutes- then they tell me - they tried to fill it for a week but bc of a shortage in painkillers- couldn't so sent the Rx back to the doctor today. THIS WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED TO ME WHEN I PICKED UP WHAT THEY WERE ABLE TO FILL!!!! Then I tell them how ridiculous it was that they didn't communicate- and she told me- it is available 30 minutes away at 2 different CVS's. Would I like to go there? If so, I have to have my doctor send the Rx there, they can't just transfer it!!! And sure- i would love to take an hour round trip driving to pick up meds- that I need- while not being supposed to drive for 24 hours!! RIDICULOUS!!!!! We will be transferring all Rx to another place!! The communication 2 days ago- when I picked up the other Meds- I could have driven wherever to get them to have them when I needed them!!! The lack of customer service in a place that requires customer service is unbelievable. The women here are always too engulfed in their conversations, even while "helping you" to acknowledge your assistance. I joined a conversation one day by accident because I thought the girl was talking to me. "Oh no I'm talking to her". Well why? Yesterday for the 4th time I was TOLD to use self checkout, while she waited for part of the Cool Kids of CVS Club to come to the front to purchase while cursing on a personal call. Classy Brassy. So even with multiple complaints over the past two years, nothing has changed. I stand corrected..they have become worse. I get texts that say they received the electronic prescription. Two day later I go to pick it up and still not ready. Fast forward 3 days. Monday my doctor sends in electronic prescriptions. I know CVS will screw it up so I give them until Wednesday. Nothing. So over the course of two days I begin calling their horribly automated phone system that doesnt recognize me a customer for over a decade. Each time I call Im on hold for over 30 minutes. on the fourth day someone finally picks up. Errr um..we are understaffed and corporate says we dont fill enough orders to justify more employees. This place fills over 1,000 prescriptions a day. This location used to be open 24/7 and now is only open 08:00 to 20:00 and they shut down completely during lunch time. CVS get your $h+T together. THIS IS THE MOST DANGEROUS PHARMACY IN MARYLAND!! DO NOT USE. Generic, untrained pharmacy techs make life altering decisions about your medications with no regard for a) the doctor's actual orders or b) the patients they serve. They are trained to simply get the insurance authorization so they can get paid. You the patient, f*@k you! The following has happened so many times here it's not funny, but this last time was the last straw since it was an high emergency. I saw a doctor who prescribed three (3) separate prescriptions. I have never taken any of them before. The doctor sent all three in at the same time. I know that because I saw all three in the cvs app within hours of the doctor sending. When I went to pick up only two were ready and the third wouldn't fill for two more days. When I inquired, a rather rude woman informed me that's just the way it is and I can pick up the other script in a couple of days. I was highly annoyed since I had experienced this here many, many times. So I went along with this silly offset in script dates, until this past week when a medical emergency arose. My Doctor immediately prescribed the same medication, but changed the frequency as he wanted me to INCREASE the medication. CVS ON ITS OWN DECIDED THAT THEY WERE NOT GOING TO FOLLOW MY DOCTORS ORDERS AND PUT THE SCRIPT ON HOLD. We called and advised that they were actually 2 separate scripts for the same medication, but the frequency was changed. Response? Wait til the 24th. Here's the issue incompetent pharmacy staff, being supervised by incompetent Pharmacists who simply don't read the actual scripts. My issue wasn't life threatening, but give the some thought: YOU OR ONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES MEDICAL CARE IN THE HANDS OF SOME UNTRAINED, UNCARING AND UNCONCERNED PHARMACY TECH. read more

Slow! I'm always waiting whether in line up front, the pharmacy, or the minute clinic. Pharmacy staff are not friendly. The store seems crowded and depressing...maybe it's the narrow aisles or all the products that seem to remind us how flawed we are or welcoming as hosts to virus and bacterial bugs. I'd recommend they get new carpet, widen the aisles / decrease the 'clutter' inventory so the store feels like it has more light and room to breath. read more

Do not fill prescriptions here! I have only used them for 2 months and I've never had a positive experience. CVS has text updates for prescriptions and when I changed to this one I've never gotten one that actually says my stuff is ready. I will get a text saying there's something wrong with an order that they will call my doctor about, so I wait to hear and then a day or two later I ask my doctor and they never got notified. Or when my doctor orders something, I'll get a text that it will be ready by 3, so I'll go the next day and they say they haven't even filled it. The most recent time, I received a text for when it would be ready, but no message about it being ready, I go back 5 days later figuring it has to be ready, but they said I waited too long so it's been returned. Every other CVS I've used has kept prescriptions for 14 days. The service is okay but nothing special and I feel like they act like its my fault. The drive thru and the line inside can both last an hour. It's just ridiculous and not worth anyone's time. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for 25 years. Over this last year it has been the worst experience I've ever had. They never have enough staff, the drive thru that is supposed to be open isn't. They don't have the prescriptions ready when the say they will. I have called the Corporate Offices and complained. Thay said a District Manager would call. Been waiting a month no call. The store manager has tried to help, after I go in an speak with him. But he says things are going to change but they don't. When you call the pharmacy line you are on hold for 30 minutes or more. They said there was a shortage on one of my prescriptions so they filled 14 pills out of 90. My doctor called in a different prescription due to the shortage. she called it in over a week ago they still say it processing! I'm done!! I'm going to go demand what is in process and then I'm transferring all my prescriptions and business. Don't go here unless you want terrible service. I am going to find out where else they can be reported. If they can't take care of their customers they should close if I could give them negative stars I would. It is not acceptable that people cannot get their medicine timely. read more

Open 24-7 and most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Note: if there is ever a storm, this is the place to come get your supplies since it is open 24-7 and must stay open for emergencies. The selection is like most CVS's so nothing bad or good here. The knock is the parking... when busy the lot is super packed but there is extra parking in the back. Another plus is the drive through pharmacy which can make for a quick in and out. Solid place, and a great place during storms or emergencies! read more

This CVS location is just ok. The cashiers are super slow, regardless of the time of day/night. I'm usually pretty patient so I'll wait, but service could be faster. Most of the time, there's no one on the sales floor available to answer questions. That doesn't make for great customer service!! Wow, after all the advertising CVS has spent alerting the public that they are open 24-hrs both INSIDE and DRIVE-THRU, the funds would have been better spent purchasing benches for waiting and neon-signs alerting the public to how long your wait WILL BE. Doesn't a corporation as large as CVS do ANY planning?!? How do you let your pharmacy staff consist of ONE person on the weekends? I feel for the employee and am UPSET with management for allowing this to happen. Come on, this IS ridiculous. Oh well, the over an hour long wait has allowed me to share my experience with the public as well. CVS, DO SOMETHING! While those waiting in line get upset, look at what you are doing to your employees. That's not valuing your employees very much when you allow them to get overworked and burned out. Standing in line I have heard the employee say that they JUST switched to 24-hours a few months ago...it has been WELL OVER 6 months and you STILL haven't been able to staff your store to meet the needs you say you will. I am BEYOND disappointed and will look to finding another pharmacy. The ONLY GOOD thing I have to say is that the pharmacist on staff has been able to maintain a friendly demeanor all the while having to defend her employers. ONE employee trying to manage phone calls, incoming prescription requests, all the while handling customers alternately at the drive thru AND counter. I writing this review because of all the idiots giving bad reviews. This pharmacy is extremely busy because of the store hours. The only time I waited for a prescription was coming directly from doctors office. Don't expect a busy pharmacy to have your script ready in 20 min. For the most part I've always had friendly service. I will continue going to this store. read more
