The pharmacy, however, was a different story. After spending over 30 minutes stuck dealing with their awful automated phone system just trying to reach an actual person, the pharmacy finally answered and immediately hung up before we could even speak. That is unacceptable, especially for a pharmacy where people are relying on staff to fill important medications. To make it worse, the prescription still hasn't been processed after several days. If the pharmacy staff cannot handle answering a phone call or providing basic customer service, they should not be responsible for something as important as people's medications. After this experience, I'm not surprised at all that this location has a 1.9-star rating. The lack of professionalism, follow-through, and basic respect for customers is ridiculous. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

I go here for my flu shot every year and have no complaints. I've gotten covid tested via the drive-thru which is very well coordinated. In and out in 5 min. Always stuff on sale here, but regular prices in certain departments seem jacked up at times. For instance, a deodorant spray that costs $6 at the big blue store is $13+ here. My pharmacist instructed me to go to this pharmacy to see if they carried other generic brands. Not only did this pharmacist not answer my question, he treated me like a drug seeker by announcing loudly in front of other guests and my partner that it is a NARCOTIC and that he cannot discuss it with me. Your pharmacists need to be properly educated on both ADHD and discrimination. Adderall is not a narcotic for one thing. And for the first time, I was discriminated and labeled while going into a pharmacy. I have an ADA recognized disability that has made my life difficult. And since it's right on the way before hitting the Causeway to head in to Sanibel, this spot is a winner. Place is probably bigger than a NY Stop & Shop (sorry for the comparison- but oh well) and the layout is simple. Oh I forgot to mention....I'm not sure about other Publix spots, but these guys carry Beach flip flops, foam noodles, etc. Produce looks fresh and everything else seems like in tip-top shape. And if all you need are small drinkables, there are a couple of Grab-and-Go refrigerators stocked with small loose water bottles, juice and other stuff. Other than that, Publix's easy to navigate and cashiers are always pleasant. That's all that matters to me!
