The BAD part was a rude male staff who had an attitude while assisting me at a self checkout register ... Another BAD thing that happened when after leaving the store and got to my destination I checked my receipt and I was charged an extra item of $17.49 that I didn't purchase!!!! I came here to pick up my prescription for my UTI oops tmi but honestly post responsibly. I went to urgent care. The pharmacy was not busy at all. Saturday at around 3 pm on 7/19/2025. Michelle was the pharmacist and she was prompt and to the point. I left in 10 minutes. The pharmacy technician was professional and very handsome. I am 71 and not looking but I'm not dead. Gorgeous kid. I had to also buy some over the counter cough syrup and antihistamines, went to pay at the general store front desk, Ian was so awesome. One thing really bad happened I flirted with Ian and exit on the entrance door. It hit my leg and foot so hard, I was going to scream bloody Murder. This review is specifically for Marcos, the cashier I stopped in for one quick thing a couple weeks ago and was standing in line waiting to check out. Marcos was helping an older woman in line ahead of me, as she was trying to pay some kind of utility bill. Marcos noticed a bunch of late fee charges on her bill so he kindly, gently pointed out to her that the total amount due was much higher than what her regular bill should've been, because of all the late fees. He showed her on the back of the bill where the customer service number was and encouraged her to call and see if they'd knock some of the bill down and remove some of the late fees. She had never heard of this and was grateful for the info and advice. And in the meantime, Marcos handled the transaction and paid what she wanted toward her bill. Overall, it was just a simple, sweet interaction, but also a great example of someone "seeing something, saying something", and just trying to be kind and helpful. Marcos didn't need to say anything. Most people wouldn't have noticed, wouldn't have bothered. But Marcos cares. And that's so apparent in how to speaks to and treats all of his customers. I was there to buy nail glue. Most of their cosmetics require assistance from an employee to unlock the item. The weird thing is, most of the nail glue was locked up, even the cheap $3 one. But they had a $5 one not locked up so I got that one so I wouldn't have to wait for an employee. If that is their strategy to buy the more expensive item, then they suckered me into it. Not sure if this is normal but they close shop in the middle of day so that they can take lunch. I don't think that's very smart of them considering people do need there medications and expect the pharmacy to be open during the day. We scheduled for pfizer covid 19 shot for our kids 3 weeks in advanced and on the date that we suppose to get our shots, they called to inform us that they don't have our vaccine and LIED to us that they called the CVS nearby (on beach blvd) and they can take us in. When we got to the beach's store, we were informed that no one called the CVS on beach blvd and its CVS' policy that they are not allowed to take walk in for pediatric's vaccine. Rude employee by the name of Alondra gave me attitude as I came to pick up photo prints. I got an email saying they were ready, but when I came to the store she proceeded to tell me that they did not have the photos and that it would take 20 minutes for them to print it. All in an unnecessary rude way. I was the only customer this employee was rude to, which I noticed as I stood there waiting for 20 minutes. Went in to this CVS today to purchase a few items & saw some covid-19 rapid test kits being put up for sale; however, one of the pharmacist working blatantly said out loud that they were going to & had been, purchasing the kits and upselling them for double the price & have made over $500 so far. I have been coming to this CVS since the days when they were "SAVON" so it was just force of habit. There used to be a wonderful manager, a retired school teacher, they must have let him go to hire cheaper help, service has never been the same. I fill all my prescriptions here for all those years and service has deteriorated so much lately, I AM FINALLY MOVING ON TO ANOTHER CVS, I have had it up to my wazzoo with mistakes, confusion, my blood boiled as I am reviewing this. I had thought about reporting the entire pharmacy to higher up but decided to be nice and just vent my frustration here. There were mistakes over mistakes, not necessarily wrong drugs but so many miscommunication, different formulation, in the medical world, it is counted as a mistake. The worst time was for a drug I HAD TOLD THEM 3 TIMES NOT TO AUTOMATICALLY REFILL, they kept on doing it, why? the robocalls 3,4 times daily did not specify what drugs were refilled, I went in and was livid, after telling them 3 times, once w the pharmacist, they wasted my time like that, i had to go in for nothing. I complained and asked to see the manager, well she was probably the one making the mistake/omission/whatever, she was a very courteous lady but that was not enough, we want competence, she allowed her techs to constantly making mistakes, at some point, you gotta take responsibility, write them up or the place would be dysfunctional. I worked in a medical center, such behavior would have gotten the people inconveniencing patients fired or at the very least suspended. read more

I am boycotting this location for the following reason: When I asked to use the restroom the pharmacy staff stated it was out of order. Long after covid precautions and to this day. I found out from pharmacy staff that the restroom is not out if order but they were told to say that when asked. I spoke to a manager who confirmed this. She said that there are some restroom cleanups that employees should have to do. She did not elaborate. She stated that outside janitorial staff would need to be called in to clean the restrooms and they didn't want to incur the cost. Really? Isn't it part of the cost of doing business? I see elderly people and handicapped people at pharmacies. You mean to tell me these people need to leave and find a restroom elsewhere? This is the epitome of poor customer service and lack of concern for clients with prescriptions or shopping there. Trying to save money on janitorial services? Really? I am no longer shopping there for anything. My advice, go to Rite Aid and Walgreens where customers are welcome to use the restroom. read more

I was in trying to get something out of the cabinet that was Under lock and key. I asked the manager who was on at the time which is the guy that is probably 62 years old with glasses that works in the afternoon. He about threw a fit when I ask him to open up the cabinet for me. He has no customer service skills at all. CVS needs to train this guy some " Be kind to the customer skills". Jim and the lady that usually work mornings, as managers are always very friendly to me . Much nicer since they did some proper remodeling. All of the employees are helpful and most are very friendly. If you are a regular they recognize you, which frankly isn't common in chain stores because of the turn over. I've seen some of the same faces for about 10 years. Honestly, if a company can't retain employees, how good will the service truly be? Good service doesn't come from corporate headquarters, they just take credit for some "insight" about good service. Good service comes from the people at the stores and it reflects at this store. Around here CVS is everywhere, if you aren't happy with the one near you, try this location. I stopped by this location one day looking for a curling iron that I bought 5 years ago at a CVS. It was a Conair curling iron that I was looking to replace since my mom wanted to keep it. I browsed online and saw that CVS had the same brand but newer model. I saw that there was a CVS close to home so I decided to head on over. It was my first time at this CVS it looked very outdated from both the outside and inside. As I walked through the doors I was greeted by the cashier. Everything looked so neat and in place. I continued my walk inside looking for the curling irons. Aha! I found them and there were way more options than what I had seen online. I began comparing them all, by size and heat intensity, until I found the right one. I was looking for about 20 minutes and not once did someone go up to me and ask me if I needed help. Ok fine I don't need anyone to help me. Wrong! I tried grabbing the straightener to go pay for it and it was locked! They were all locked! I walked around looking for help, no one in sight. I dropped off a prescription a week ago for an eye drug that insurance requires preauthorization to fill, which CVS said they would request from the doctor. On 1/16/20, a phone message from CVS on my cell says my prescription is ready. I went to pick it up today, on 1/18/20. I get the exact same comment as when I dropped it off a week ago that it needs to be preauthorized. They have had it five business days, and sent me a message that it was filled. This is poor customer service. Then, they asked me if I have other prescriptions to explain their message. I don't. They blamed the doctor and insurance for a week going by without filling the prescription. They cannot explain the message that my prescription is ready when it is not. Express Scripts had me forced to use mail order only for over a year. This was my return to my local CVS after Express Scripts allowed it. read more

Bugs me when people give a bad review because of something totally irrelevant to the business. Like "don't call me at home". Don't give them your home number. Or, "they gave me half a prescription for my child." They always do that when they don't have enough for a full prescription and they tell you up front!
