I hate coming to this CVS. You walk in with one person in line, get your item, and you're still waiting for that same one person to check out. Happens everytime no matter what time it is. If there's more people, forget it.Always incredibly slow to get out. I don't think it's the cashier's fault. The customers don't seem to understand that they need to pay for their items. I will never use this pharmacy again. For one, this is the only store in the area that has a password locked bathroom. This isn't a bad area, so this is ridiculous and annoying. For two: I went to refill a prescription. They were busy, unlike the one on Adams, but one of the pharmacists called me over to help me. She looked up my prescription - and gave a very not helpful, "We don't have it." I was surprised, since it's a common prescription. She did not offer to call other locations like most pharmacies will - I had to specifically ask (and specify the location too). She called the Adams office, was on hold or something for a long time, and I was like, "If it's easier for me to go there then I can do that," and she was like, "whatever you want." I replied, "... But there's no point if they say they don't have it" and waited for her to get a response. She told me they also didn't have it, but she didn't offer to call the (larger) Beach Blvd location, and by that point I didn't fee like asking. I ended up going to the Adams location anyway, because her attitude was so rude and unhelpful, I didn't trust her to have properly inquired. They did not have it either, however they did offer to contact the Beach Blvd office (which didn't have it), and then told me the facts, which was that none of the locations would be carrying it because it was being changed to an over-the-counter product. Which, lo and behold, CVS now stocks. Thanks useless lady! I wasted a good half hour at this location. The Adams location deserves 5 stars in comparison - the pharmacist there walked me over to the area where they stock the new product, and even showed me my options and discussed it with me. I will give them this - they have a wide range of operating hours. However, I am not thrilled with the pharmacy. On my second to last visit they filled my child's antibiotic prescription with only 1/2 of the required (and paid for) medication. Once I got home I had to pour the contents of the jar out to measure it & then I called to complain. To paraphrase, they said "what's the big deal? - just come back in & we'll give you more." What I hoped I might hear was something along the lines of: "I'm so sorry - this should not have happened." Aren't pharmacists paid professionals who make a living out of accurately measuring medications? Step up the the plate, folks! So, now I always keep a copy of the prescription and really scrutinize what they give me. This time the prescriptions came in jars so large that the liquid only fills half the jar. I have to pour the liquid out into another container to fill the syringe. Overall I far prefer Beach Professional Pharmacy over on Beach Blvd, but their hours are shorter. read more

This pharmacy is always out if my prescriptions. I brought in a new one two days ago and they claim it's a special order. It still has not been filled. The people behind the counter don't care and are very dismissive. I told the pharmacist that I was going to transfer my prescriptions to another pharmacy since they can't or w ok not keep anything in stock, he said that was fine with him. Pretty good service here! When there is a line, they usually will open up another register. Most of the staff are very friendly and are there to help. Huge selection of stuff, which is expected and will definitely be back, since we have them set as our primary prescription filler. read more

I went here last minute to get a prescription filled. This is NOT my normal CVS pharmacy but I was on my way out of town and this CVS was close to my doctors office. They would NOT take GoodRX for my prescription. I have used GoodRX for this prescription for over 2 years on and off at other CVS without a problem. They are on the GoodRX app as being a pharmacy that accepts it but they wouldn't. The lady was very rude and I didn't have time to argue so I just paid for it. It cost me more then twice what it should have with GoodRX. I will never use this pharmacy or store ever again. And I will be contacting a manager, corporate and GoodRX. read more

I came here to fill some prescriptions for an upcoming proceedure. I came here with 2 prescriptions and they were taking days to be filled. When I called back to see if they were ready they said they only had 1 ready.... ok. I call back the next morning to see of both were ready and some women named Debbie was "helping" me, she said I only had 1 prescription ready and maybe I had lost the other one and if I didn't remember who I talked to the previous day she couldn't help me.... she was abosluelty rude and unhelpful. She transferred the phone call to someone else since I guess she didn't want to deal with me. He was of no help either. I asked what the women's name was who I was speaking to previously (Debbie) he claimed he didn't know and that there was no manager available. I called back moments later to speak to the store manager who was very helpful actually and said he would locate my prescription and that's the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. Debbie called me back shortly after and said she would help by faxing the doctor and asking if I needed any more prescriptions.... Anyway after all of that my doctor said yes I needed 2 prescriptions and sent them over the prescription, so they text me and say they're ready for pick up. I get there and the women says "we actually don't have one of them in stock and won't for a while..." SO I ONLY GOT 1 after all the trouble. So I took my business to Walgreens where they filled it no problem. I live across the street from CVS and will drive right by it now because it's not worth it.. if you need any pills be sure to start the process a week before you actually need to start taking them. read more

I came to this CVS to pick up my prescription, but it was not ready. While waiting, I asked the pharmacy clerk about the location of the restroom. He told me to get the key from the front checkout counter. Well, Jim, the purported supervisor, told me the restroom was out of order. I asked him if the restroom was out of order, why would the pharmacy clerk told me to get the key from him. Contrary to the friendly greetings he gave when I first entered, he was now rude. When I told him that it was against local ordinances for not making restrooms available to their customers and I would report to the city, he retorted with an unprofessional dare of "go ahead." If the manager reads this review, you need to re-train Jim about the importance of providing excellent customer service to your customers; especially, to seniors who have problems controlling their bladders. Shame to all of you at CVS who felt the need to use the pretext of "out of order" restrooms to deny your customers with legitimate need to relieve themselves. read more

Friendly staff, I'll give them that. The pharmacy is about average although they will put you through the paces on a simple prescription. The mistake I made was giving them my phone number. I have been harassed week after week with robocalls. I thought the staff was going to helpful by removing my phone number from their files but the calls kept coming. When I looked online about this issue, there were dozens of posts with the same issue nationwide. What are you thinking CVS? Will change pharmacies. read more

I live closer to the new cvs on beach and Warner however today I stopped in here cuz I was at mile square park and remembered I had a return . I walk in store manager greets me :) I do my return 1 2 3 go about my day . Overall store was neat and organized . But what got me was as I was walking to register manager n I made eye contact and he smiled . I know silly five stars for a smile but no if u worked in customer service you know how hard that is to find so when I see someone who is genuinely nice I give him credit his name is Doug I believe and he was sooooo nice and friendly that this may be my new frequent cvs . How can you be "out" of a medication for 2 months? First, why wouldn't you order it for a long time customer? Secondly, good customer service (Debbie) would offer to find another CVS that does have it. I am very disappointed and will be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. I always go to Walgreens for my pills but since our insurance changed they wanted us to transfer to CVS and encourages it. Im going out of the country for 2 mos so i asked if i can get 2 pack if birth control pills in walgreens. Pharmacist at walgreens said my insurance wont let then do it unless i transfer to CVS (i think they have a contract with them or something). Walgreens was very helpful in what to do transfer my prescriptions there. Then i called CVS and told them what walgreens said to me. Lam is very helpful and accommodated me really well. We were talking for a long time discussing what and how to override my pills for another month. She called the insuramce and everything. She just asked me to come the following day to show my insurance card. Lam also told me to call on february 17 to verify if my pills are ready. Now its the 17th and i called. A pharmacist named Debbie was the one i was speaking to. She asked for my name and date of birth. And then she told me its not there or might not be reay yet. I told her the previous pharmacy told me to call and verify if my pills are ready. So we went over my info again... And the reason it didnt come up in her computer because she typed the wrong year for my birthdate. She said its ready for pickup for the afternoon really fast and saidw bye and was about to hangup when i said im not done yet and still have questions. I told her that the previous pharmacy told me that when i call on the 17th to ask about overriding my meds. She said she can not do it because she just pulled out one for pickup. so i explained to her that previous pharmacist said is was ok per my insurance. she sounded irritated/annoyed with me and in a rush she said that when i come tomorrow she will see what she can do... I think the other pharmacist our nice and has good customer service. But that Debbie was kinda rude and has poor customer service. This is a big store with a huge inventory. I'm mostly here for the pharmacy itself, but you can get anything from greeting cards to cosmetics to snacks to liquor to clothing to milk....you get the idea. The pharmacy staff is awesome which takes some of the sting out of the prescription prices. read more

I have a gripe with the pharmacists, all of them. I've purchased here every month for four years, but am always asked if I'm new. My drop-off always takes twenty minutes and I have to write down my address and info. on every person's prescriptions. My doctor now prints our prescriptions, so the brand and dosage are completely readable. It still takes more than twenty/thirty minutes to drop-off, especially with Debbie, and an hour to pick up. Every medication is generic, overpriced, and gets shorted. I am written 60mg of ointment, but only receive 15mg; 10 pills with 3 refills, but sold no refills; two bottles, but get one; etc. Every CVS pharmacy is the same; this is just walking distance. Notice that this year you must sign that digital message while you pick-up? CVS was recently sued millions for defrauding customers by billing the insurance co. for prescribed, but unpurchased medications. And they've raised my med. prices 2x to 5x last year. They mixed up my family's prescriptions, again--the twelth time! This time four prescriptions were filled under my name only. And I was shorted a medication; I returned to purchase it and the trip took 2 hours. When I asked if they had it available, it only took a minute to check the shelf and confirm so. They asked me to take a seat and I waited with two other customers for sixty minutes! There are always plenty of technicians, but you never see all of them out working. Half are always behind doors eating, chatting, or whatnot instead of assisting waiting customers. They need to stop loafing around and use those empty computers. And when I pick-up, I always want to know how to use it or where to inject myself. Once I pay, they automatically cross the "don't need technician's help" column for me and look for me to leave. read more

To bad I can't give them -5 stars!! They have the worst staff. They have messed up my prescriptions more times than acceptable. I used to be able to go to the best, Walgreens but sadly my insurance makes me go here. I would highly recommend going to the one on Beach and Garfield. This store needs to change its policies and customer service. On Saturday I went in to purchase a Vanilla Visa card (prepaid card). I picked one of the cards from the display and stood in line. When I got to the cashier she tried to scan in the card and it was rejected. No biggie I went back and picked different one. This time she was able to scan in the card and I paid cash for it. The receipt showed that it was activated. On Sunday I went to the Vanilla Visa website and it showed a system error for that card. I then took the card, my receipt and the open packing back to this store. They in turn tried to access the card using the Vanilla Visa automated service with no luck. They then called the phone number and got a service rep.. The service rep said that there was an issue between CVS and Vanilla Visa activating the card. Vanilla Visa then told me that I needed to either fax or email my receipt and drivers license to them and that they would refund my money in 3 to 5 days. Since I paid in cash and the issue was not on my end shouldn't I receive a refund from CVS? Why doesn't CVS handle the refund process on their end since it was between CVS and Vanilla Visa? Why am I out my money/credit for 3-5 days? I paid cash?? I am not a happy customer or a fan of CVS and Vanilla Visa!! read more

I went to pick up a prescription for my daughter today and I had a terrible and rude service from Vincent at the pharmacy. He was giving me an attitude and talked to me in a very rude tone of voice. I asked him to call my insurance to verify eligibility and he did it with an attitude. Her argued with me about things, instead of helping me and being patient and provide customer service. On December 2, 2016 he purchased antibiotics and cough syrup for $34.23 and $15.36. Today, December 30,2016 he purchased antibiotics and cough syrup for $78.25 and $22.49. What a shock!! Cvs could not explain the price hike. We even asked the dr office to send the rx to Costco and they sent it to cvs. If my husband felt better he would have taken the time to have the rx changed to Costco. 12/14/16 @ 1:15 Debbie/Debi was very rude!!! She placed me on hold twice! The first time, she didn't even wait until I was finished talking and just cut me off by putting my call on hold. Then I was on hold again for 4 minutes and no one picked up this time since I requested to speak w/ the Pharmacist to complain about her attitude. I understood that they got frustrated w/ the doctor's office but her attitude tells me that she hates her job and she should not be dealing with clients at all! I'm a caregiver 24/7 to an elderly man. Not only is he an alcoholic, he is also in a wheelchair. There are times when he's had to much to drink and gets verbally abusive. At those times I just want to scream. This CVS on Magnolia has been his CVS for longer then I've been working for him and that's going on to 6 years. I use to go in to get his prescriptions while he waited in the car. Every once in awhile he would want to go in with me, but those times were few and far between. In the past few months he's been going in with me more often. There's an employee there that he really likes. I can understand why. Her name is Ileana. She always has a smile for us that puts him in a good mood. She always asks us how our day is going and she actually listens. There are times when I just need to get away and I find myself shopping at CVS since it's just around the corner. I always leave there in a better mood. Compared to other CVS, about as clean, but not stocked. I went in to get some simple random things. A lint roller, a few bottles of vitamin water, some candy, gum, and trail mix for my day of expedition. But they were all out of vitamin water 0, all out of fuze, all out of pretty much anything diet in the form of Propel or Powerade 0 or Sobe 0. They had green tea in a glass bottle. Didn't get anything but 2 bottles of Fiji. Then went to the nuts sections. Never thought I'd ever say this, but I want my nuts in a variety!!! They had peanuts, cashews, but nothing in a good trail mix blend. It was with chocolate, but I always look for the fruit ones and I just couldn't find any. And then went to pick up a lint brush, and they only had 1 kind, the CVS brand. ok, but it was $6 and the quality was crap. But the life saver gummies i bought ended up being buy one get one free so it saved me $1.50 so that was a plus. Too bad it wasn't advertised, only noticed when I got a printout of 6 coupons for the 4 things I purchased. Anyhow, maybe cuz I went in too early, it was 9am, but they need to get their stock filled.
