That's all it has going for it. but it is soooo understaffed. I went to the photo counter to pick up photos I had ordered. After ten minutes of waiting I flagged someone down who told me I had to wait in the cashier line. It was 10 people long. I had to then wait even longer, but luckily some nice people let me cut in, because they saw how long I had been waiting. The next time I waited in the cashier line, but my photos weren't ready regardless of me receiving a confirmation via email that they were. Waited again. Every single time trying to find someone to help you it's like you walked into a ghost town. I was actually surprised when I went in yesterday to pick up photos and waited by the cash register and someone came to help me within a minutes time....

I pull up to the drive thru window and give them my information. They tell me the DOB is wrong. My son, a 5yo, prescriptions filled there too, so I ask if the DOB is my son's. They said that was correct. (Who would fill a 100mg anti-depressant scrip for a 5yo?!?!?!?!?) Then they tell me it's gonna be another 20 minutes. I wait the 20 minutes, pick up the scrip, and realize they only gave me a 30 day supply. I am less than enthused at this point. I called my doctor and explained the situation. They tell me that they called in the 90 day scrip and don't know what happened. Anyways, they called it back in and gave me a call back when all was ironed out. I picked up the Trazodone, for which I have never paid more than $10 at Walmart, and was charged $40. I called the pharmacy when I got home to figure out what happened. They told me that they don't price match with other pharmacies. My response "so you're telling me that I should never return to this pharmacy?" And the girl said yes, then tried to correct herself. Bottom line, this is THE WORST pharmacy with incompetent employees and overpriced meds. STAY AWAY!!!!

I recently stopped in this area and finally noticed this. What is interesting is that it is like the last plaza in the area before you go into the yonder. Perfectly hidden making it either the first thing you see or the last thing you see on your journey. There was really no need to stop here, or at least I had thought so. I really needed to use the facilities somewhere before heading back to the highway. That was my initial reason for coming here. But because I was about to head home for a weekend, I needed some snacks and drinks. I went directly to the chip aisle and grabbed some things, and then hit up the crackers/cookies aisle, and finally, I wound up at the coolers near the front of the store. Honestly, I had no idea that Giant Eagle reached this far. I was shocked when I found one in Bedford, PA, but for one to be here, it threw me. This Giant Eagle is part of a larger plaza, I guess you can say that it is the anchor as it is by far the biggest retailer in the plaza. Parking is ample and can make for a quick entry/exit. Inside it is well organized and everything appeared to be stocked. I didn't look around too much as my mind was on gift cards only. I went straight to that area and started to browse. I have to say, they had a fine selection of gift cards and made choosing one a bit hard. I circled the display a few times before honing in on one section and then stayed there for a few good minutes having an inner debate on which gift card would be most appropriate. Once the selection was made I headed for the registers. Made sure to scan my rewards card and was out the door.

Like many others, I was sad when the Safeway on 7th Street closed after 50 years in business. The pharmacy there was great! Absolutely top notch. All accounts were automatically transferred to a nearby, let's call them a 3 letter pharmacy. They're everywhere. The new place insisted on giving me only 30-day refills, which was slightly inconvenient and tripled the co-pay cost of the 90-day refills I'd been getting. So, looked around and heard good things about the Weis pharmacy out on the west side of town. I could not believe how hard these folks work to make sure you get the medicine you need at the lowest price possible. McKenzie helped me first, and I got a 90-day refill (using an on-line coupon) at no cost to me! A few days later I went back to pick up two more, different prescriptions. Again, a 90-day refill had a zero copay. The 30-day refill had a co-pay of only 97 cents! If you are looking for ways to save money, and want help from hard working pharmacists and staff who want to help you get the best deal possible, please give this place a try.
