This location has convenient parking and a gas station. The warehouse is large and well spaced out, good selection of goods. Prices are competitive and comparable to that other spot. They don't have the same things but similar items. The staff here were welcoming and helpful. Do really like the drive up and pickup option along with the scan and go which makes check out a breeze. Super clean Sam's club. It is like an introverts Costco since there is much less people. I love the food court. The food prices cannot be beat! 89 cents for a slushie!!! Yes please! I definitely like the pizza better than Costco pizza. The pizza is thinner and tastier. I also got the cinnamon pretzel that I wouldn't really get again. I love how sparkling clean and organized this store is. So far I have not waited in line or suffered any problems. Weekdays there are snarling lines and now you can use the app for scan and go if you want to. The meat and cheese departments are the only areas where I ever encounter multiple shoppers. We are military so we mostly go to the commissary so there was no need to go to SAMs. I threw a baby shower for my son and daughter-in-law and instead of cooking I decided to place an order with them. I was pleased. The trays look just like the pitcher I chose from. The sandwiches and pinwheels were a hit at the shower. This is a really nice Sam's Club. Always clean and for whatever reason it is never crowded when I have gone. There are usually a couple of cashiers open as well as some self checkout stands. Have never seen a line of over 3 people when I have been here. The selection is typical for a Sam's Club. If you have been to a Sam's then you have been to this Sam's. It is Maryland so no beer or wine available, but that is a Maryland thing and that is just another thing about The Old Line State that I do not miss. Oh and I rarely drink. The store is clean, the staff is dull and sparse so you hopefully don't need any assistance, but if you do you can usually hunt someone down, but trust me they won't come looking to see if they can help on the own. Short lines and clean store and they have gas at good prices. This location is nice and if you go you will be satisfied. read more

I already had a Costco membership but wanted to try out Sams to see what they had to offer. Overall, the store was clean, well stocked and had a nice open layout that wasn't overwhelming. The selection is similar to Costco. The issues didn't start until it was time to pay. Apparently I had received a temporary membership card so with all my groceries and other items already on the conveyer belt, I had to abandon them to go to the membership desk to get a real card. I wish I knew so I could have done that first. Rookie error, I guess? Thankfully it only took about five minutes, but the cashier walked off while I was in line so we had to wait about 10 minutes for her to come back to the check out. We went to go order a pizza, after paying we were told it would take 15 minutes. I didn't want to wait that long with all the food and the kids, so I simply asked if we could just get an assortment of slices that were already out. It honestly took three people to understand what i was asking. Overall, the prices were no better than going to a regular grocery store in the area. I didn't encounter a single employee who had a smile that seemed to be happy. Maybe it was the Monday blues, they just all seemed irritated. I would come back for a few random things, but I don't think I could justify another $45 membership. read more

They did a tire rotation for my car and when I drove my car out, I noticed the traction sign flashing every time I tried going over 60 mph... when I got out of my car to check, the tires in the front were noticeably bigger than the ones in the back... When I called them back, they told me they did not know that I had different size tires in the back and front ( I have a rear wheel drive) and they did not even apologize. Learn the basics... measure the tires before you do anything and don't tell customers you didn't know. Lack of knowledge doesn't excuse you from making this mistake. read more

Ummmm no thank you. I have always been a fan of Sam's club and while I've never met Sam, I know a guy in Little Rock named Sam and he's pretty cool. While they do have a good selection of everything, cleanliness is not a priority here. I literally had a shoe stick to the floor and while it's not like I lost it permanently, still very annoying to have great crunchy sticky noise as I walked around the rest of this massive warehouse. So basically, if your in the market for a 50 gallon drum of ketchup or life will end with out 30 pounds of flour I would direct you elsewhere. The girl I was dating at that time had a membership here, I went.. disliked it... and broke up with her immediately and purely based on her poor decision making ability in warehouse shopping. I have heard since I drove and left her at the store she is still in line 3 as they have 230 registers but only keep 2 open. It's been 6 months I might go check on her.. you know, to be nice. You just can't beat Sam's Club for clothes, name brand clothes at dollar store prices. The long-ish lines on weekends kinda sucks though. In the early morning Sams is only open to business owners, I find early afternoon the best time to shop there. Free samples of neat foods doesn't hurt either. The deals they get come and go a little like shopping at Olies. You just gotta go often, if they don't have what you want either order online or shop elsewhere, but if Sams does have it you know it's going to be the best price you're likely to get. I belong to Costco and Sams club and prefer to shop at Sams club any day of the week. No matter when I go to Costco they have lines that are ridiculous. Not to mention I use my Scan & Go app at Sams and can avoid any line, but Sams clubs lines are minimal even without the app. The butchers are always super nice and helpful. The rotisserie chickens seasoning makes an awesome broth base for my soups and I always prefer to use their bakery for all my cakes and rolls. You can't beat the price of their cakes either and I always get complements on them. All in all I won't drop my membership at Costco because they do have some nice stuff as well however for convenience, meats, cakes etc I always choose Sams club first! read more

Great price on tires. Unfortunately, they broke the tire sensors on 2 of the 4 tires. I brought the car back within 30 minutes of the tire change, as my tire sensor light came on. They said "your battery on the tire sensors wore out" . Really?, 2 tires within 30 minutes of a tire change? What are the odds.....Of course, they could fix it for me for by changing the tire monitors out - only a couple of hundred dollars - so much for saving money on tires. I now drive around with the tire monitor light on. Otherwise, store is great. read more

I got one of the free memberships they offered recently to new moms. The customer service agent who processed my application by phone was very pleasant, as was the staff at the Frederick store. Otherwise, I was really disappointed. The selection was pretty bad. Bose headphones and HP laptops cost less on HSN. Books were discounted but were the same price as on Amazon. Same story with diapers and household items. In short, no need for a Sam's Club membership in addition to Costco and Amazon Prime. read more

Everytime I order a TIER cake from here they ALWAYS mess up on design. Offering a discount or reduced rate for the cake doesn't solve the problem at hand! Especially when we select items in your catalogue without deviating. Management has to take coaching and counseling into consideration when cakes are returned or when customers spend 2 hours waiting for the cake to be corrected. The only reason I have the membership here is for cakes otherwise I prefer to shop at Costco. I regret renewing my membership this month. My son's birthday cake had the soccer ball placed on the top tier which was the sky(bright blue layer with white clouds). While the green portion (base layer) the soccer field was bare!. The amount of gratitude I have for John Laramie truly cannot be conveyed in this post but I will try. John, a manager at this Sam's Club location, found my wallet that I lost. Let me tell you that my entire LIFE was in this wallet. I lost it easily 4 months back this summer and was obviously devastated not only due to the value of the leather wallet but losing all of my credit cards, check book, National Parks pass, and SO much more. My financial security was truly at a high risk. I quickly closed all the cards and accounts and opened new ones and truthfully thought I would never see my wallet again. Low and behold John, who never gave up trying to locate the owner of said wallet, finally was able to track me down via my Costco membership (of all things!). I just picked up my wallet from John at Sam's and held back tears as his generous and persistent actions have truly restored my faith in the kindness of humans. Easy to get in and out off. Self-check-out. Low gas prices. Not as crowded as Costco.

There are two pumps that serve diesel on the right hand side when you enter the station. It's all one way traffic. One direction fueling. So if your fuel tank lid is on the driver side you will have to enter on the far right pump. If your fuel tank lid is on the passenger side you will have to enter on the left-hand side of the far right pumps. However, since there are only two pump stations of pumps serving diesel vehicles and the hoses are not long enough to reach across your vehicle, You are forced to wait in line while people fill up with gas at the diesel pumps ahead of you. The station attendant will come around and give you crap if you try to go around the vehicles and get to the other side of the pump so that you may pump your diesel into your waiting vehicle at an empty pump regardless if there are no other vehicles at the station. Most weekday evenings there is a fuel tanker parked on the right hand side blocking the diesel pumps that I need for my driver side fuel tank opening. This only allows for one of the 4 pumps to be used. In other words the fuel price savings isn't worth the hassle of dealing with this kind of stupidity if you have a diesel vehicle. The fact that the attendant is too ignorant to have Sam's Club install longer hoses for Diesel buying customers is even more infuriating. These are the people who want $15 an hour. The service in the tire department is dreadful. The wait is ridiculous and if you have a problem with a tire that you purchased there, they have no way to deal with it in a timely manner. We've tried to have a tire that had been losing air evaluated and two times it took more than 3 hours for the technicians to even take a look at it.
