Decent spot for some bagel sandwich and coffee. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese and it was solid. The potatoes were filling and hot. A little pricey but what can you do. My orange creamsicle was what stood out to me, really tasty. My wife's coffee got the job done. It took about 15 mins for the food to come out (during like 1pm on a Thursday afternoon), and parking was a little limited. The person who took our order was super nice too. Always hoppy to support a mom and pop stop which this place seemed to be.

While visiting family, we had enough time to walk around town for the morning. We stopped in for some lattes since it was cold to us Californians. The man working the front counter was super kind and very sweet. The lattes were good and fairly priced. The best part about this place is that he knew every single customer's name and they knew his. It seems like a really close knit place to stop and have a bite to eat in the morning. It felt cozy and nostalgic inside.

This is the PERFECT hole in the wall spot for breakfast in Frederick. They're very customer service focus with a great menu of breakfast and lunch items at a very affordable price. It's a bit on the small side but there's plenty of room if you eat in as most order their food to go. Listen, you know it's good when the cops are eating there lol You can tell the bagels and croissants are made fresh and the bagels are awesome (try the Jalapeno everything bagel) They have a wide variety of coffee and espressos, too. My only wish is that they were open before 8am but other than that I have nothing but great things to say about my experiences there. They do take cards etc. and I always call my order in ahead of time. I won't even mention that they're Steelers fans

Ruben was delicious. Staff friendly. Clean. A Steelers hang out place. Great memorabilia around the restaurant to look at.

The bagel was good. The sausage on the breakfast sandwich was perfectly browned to a crisp. American cheese is not my favorite, and in this case it didn't really melt on the sandwich. Probably could have used some butter or mayo because the bagel was a bit dry for a sandwich. Could not locate any hot sauce, but every table has a bottle of ketchup, so that worked well enough. The coffee was hot, thin, and acidic, as is the common style in the region. Also not my preferred profile for bean juice, but it does taste better with food. Pittsburgh Steelers memorabilia plasters every square inch of the walls. The floors are sloping and creaking. Beverage coolers buzz loudly and vibrate the floor while your order. It's a tiny old shop that is equally as cozy as it is imperfect.

Beans & bagels was the perfect 'hole in the wall' spot to grab a quick and delicious breakfast before our day of sight seeing. Their sandwiches were filling, and you can tell the bagel and croissant were both baked fresh. The home fries were also perfectly seasoned, and the serving size was generous. The staff ate friendly and love to joke around. Lots of locals were stopping in to grab their food to go, and the staff were greeting them with first names. Overall, recommend.

This is our FAVORITE bagel shop in Frederick! Since we moved to the area earlier this year, we've tried many places that offer a bagel selection but nothing measures up to Beans & Bagels. Their breakfast sandwiches are by far my favorite - the bagels are thick, the eggs are real, and the cheese is melty. You can't beat it! They have a large menu of food and drink selections, so I look forward to trying additional options. Lastly, the owner is a rockstar! Every time I've seen him, he's greeting frequent customers by name and asking about their lives, or joking around and making small talk with new customers. Love it!

I really wish I could recommend Beans & Bagels. Unfortunately, I can't. Neither my girlfriend nor I had a positive experience. We had breakfast at 10:30AM on a Sunday. The restaurant was busy but not crazy busy. Outdoor dining was full as was the front dining room, however, there were three empty tables in the back section. When we arrived there were four people waiting for takeout and three in line to order. Okay, so maybe it was crazy busy for this relatively small restaurant/coffee shop. So what led to our poor experience? * the first employee/owner I came in contact with to place our order was grumpy and unwelcoming, as was the server/food runner. Neither wanted to be there and their lack of enthusiasm showed. * as to the food, the meal was a reflection of the cooks lack of passion for creating great food. The eggs were overcooked, the hash browns were undercooked, to the point of being inedible. They were basically raw potatoes on the inside, but nicely browned on the outside. Strange. They had little seasoning and even less taste. The bacon was limp, fatty, paper thin and wet with grease. The highlight of the meal was the rye toast. * as to the decor, they say a picture paints a thousand words. See the photo of the dilapidated vinyl bench seat attached. I'm not sure what was worse, the food or sitting in the hot restaurant on top of sticky electrical tape. Based on the condition of this piece of furniture, I'd say the owner of this restaurant has just given up. Not recommended.

I was surprised that I rated Beans & Bagels 4 stars. That was a mistake. They definitely have amazing bagels and great customer service.

The busy-ness was a testament to its popularity, yet it was comfy and relaxed because there was a variety of seating areas where one could enjoy their beverage and/or food. Many were reading, listening to personal headphones, chatting with friends. The atmosphere was lively. I loved that the menu had a variety of items on it... Definitely something for everyone. This is one of the few shops that have a delicious cardomom syrup. I actually ended up ordering a second beverage because the first one was so delicious!

And saw the "under" orientation of the toilet paper, which violates the original patent for toilet paper holders from 1891, where the paper clearly goes over the top. The "over" configuration: * prevents the roll from brushing the wall * makes it easier to grab with one hand * reduces accidental unrolling * and, most importantly, does not make decent people feel like they're living in a lawless society. What you have here is bathroom anarchy. I must admit that tile and brushed metal fixtures actually look really nice, which somehow makes the backward roll even more upsetting. It's like a beautifully plated meal served on the floor. Moreover, the ceiling contains approximately 400 judgmental eyes observing you while you attempt to live your life. The wallpaper on the ceiling (on the ceiling!!!) has a pattern based on the "evil eye" motif (sometimes called nazar), which shows up in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern design. Traditionally it's supposed to ward off bad luck or jealousy. All it does in this case is confirm the establishment has abandoned reason and at least one of the people who work has met a psychedelic mushroom. Still, the vibe everywhere else in this place is amazing and the coffees are very very good!

I'd say the food is a bit overpriced but I think their sweet potato fries are very good and seasoned and their herby ranch they give on the side is very amazing. It was definitely busy in there but not overwhelmingly loud. I ordered the smoked hash and shoutout to my waitress cause I asked for three changes to the ingredients and she was happy to do so! It was a really good coffee, you can taste the notes of brown butter in it! Again, want to shout out my waitress. She gave the best energy. I parked in one of the downtown lots and it was only three dollars! Would return to try other menu items.

I saw people coming out of here! I didn't hesitate, I skipped right on across the street to see what I could see. The cutest Korean bakery! The same bakery you know and love from H Mart now has a stand alone location in the heart of downtown Frederick. I took a spin around, snapped some photos and then grab a tray to load up with goodies. I love that its self-serve. You can always get the one you want without the awkward and mostly ineffective pointing and direction giving from behind the glass lol. I picked up a nice mix or sweet and savories. I think my favorite was the spicy jalapeño ham & bacon roll. It was soft, spicy, salty, and just the right amount of sweet from the dough. You can order finer pastries, coffee, and boba tea from the counter and eat in or take it to go. I'll be coming here every time I'm in town for sure!
