Donna the Operations Manager lied and told me my coupon wouldn't work because my item was on sale. I left, did an online order for pickup with the same coupon and it worked just fine. So I wasted my time leaving and coming back as she didn't want to just simply look into the issue instead of just saying "Oh it's because the item is on sale" when you don't even know. Unsure how she's a manager but I feel like the goal was for me to pay full price and that wasn't happening. Buyers beware if they aren't making any money at a location they may try to get one over on you. This is definitely an inferior CVS store compared to others I've been to. I haven't been to the Pharmacy part, but I've never seen any staff in the rest of the store. They only offer self-checkout and they only have two machines and sometimes they aren't both operational. When a customer stops a transaction in the middle, it makes it impossible for another customer to use the checkout. There's no obvious way to notify a staffer to remedy the problem and no staff are visible. The do seem to be generally well stocked and there's always plenty of parking. read more

This location feels like an extremely unsafe area and people outside who look very unsavory, begging 3 ft from the store entrance. The manager allegedly said that corporate was advised but said they're only responsible for the inside of the store. They refused to ask them to leave the property. I highly recommend you go elsewhere. No one likes to pass by sketchy looking people begging for money directly in front of the store! Also, just to mention, this is noted online as a "UPS drop-off point" but they don't mention you have to come in with the item packaged & boxed up yourself with the mailing label already on it. This is about the pharmacy. It's about as bad as it gets there. They are frequently out of medication, and when they send you to a different CVS that supposedly has the medication (they called and confirmed it was there), you find out the other stove is also out. So it's a 20 minute wait, off to the second CVS, for a 20 minute wait, and still no meds. I've had several instances of the "out of medication" problem. Their text messaging system is inaccurate, for example today I had a message my medication was ready and when I showed up they told me it was out of stock and they had to order it. Now the worst of it - I was prescribed a medication last week that likely had had an ingredient I was allergic to, not CVS's fault, but when I was trying to get clarification from the pharmacist on exactly what ingredients were in the medication she just dumped me to the pharma manufacturer. She didn't know. And didn't care to try to know. We're talking a pharmacist. But before I left, and this is hard to believe, she keep in mind she admitted she didn't know the ingredients in the medication, and understood my possibly allergy, yet she actually encouraged me to take it by saying, "You should be fine." I should be fine? Regrettably my insurance affords me very few options in regard to pharmacies but I'm am actively searching for something better, even if I have to change insurance. read more

NOBODY EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. It Takes forever to get prescriptions filled, i had one prescription ready for pickup and two others in progress for more then 4 days. When I get to the counter they tell me I they can expidite the filling of the other two perscriptions, but that will take over an hour. Then they lie to me and say they are short staffed with 6 staff behind the counter, the most I have ever seen behind the counter since the stores existance. This review is for CVS Pharmacy #05460 located at 19901 Frederick Rd, Germantown, Maryland 20876. I arrived prior to my appointment time but was having trouble checking in with my cell phone. A CVS staff person at the pharmacy counter told me that she would check me in. After two other patients went ahead of me, I complained to the manager of the store. After asking them why they were taking other patients before me, I learned that CVS never checked me in. I was initially told it was my fault for not checking in using their app. I learned from the store manager that she could do nothing more than tell me she was sorry, that I was a good customer, and that they were having staffing issues. I also learned from the nurse who administered the flu shot that she had to come in on her day off. Having staffing issues is unfortunate and, in this case, caused operational disruptions. The manager of the store showed respect for me. However, more needs to be done. First, there must be a willingness to accept responsibility for your mistakes. Second, you should never blame others for your mistakes. And third, you need to learn from your mistakes so as not to repeat them. This occasion was not the first time I experienced poor customer service at this CVS location. Therefore, because of a pattern of poor customer service, a mind-set to first blame others for their mistakes and not to learn from them, I cannot in good conscience trust CVS at this location with my family health care needs and will not being returning. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for years but it has really been going downhill. It seems perpetually understaffed and there is always some sort of confusion. I noticed the past 2 visits that it is so dirty. The counter area and floor on the patient side of the counter look as though they have never been cleaned. Rudest pharmacist I have ever spoken to. I came here to pickup my meds at 5:00pm. I was told one of the meds is not ready but should be available in 30 minutes. So went home to pickup my luggage as I am flying out at 9pm. Just about when I was ready to leave home got a text message saying it's on order. Called and spoke to the pharmacist, who basically said you are way back in the queue and not sure when the meds will be ready. When asked why I am in the back in the queue, she said we have a huge backlog and hung up! That is the height of rudeness. I am so disappointed with her. Hope that she is just having a bad day. I gave this one star because the tech was friendly and helpful. Everything else is abysmal. If you want quick confirmation of COVID-19, this is the last place on earth you should go. Went for a COVID-19 test on Monday. We were originally told it would be 4 days for the results..after day 4 we were told 5 days. On day 5, we were told it could be up to 7 business days because they dont work on the weekend. So, if you want to know your COVID-19 status, consider going ANYWHERE else for a quicker response. read more

For a while I lived pretty close to this store in G'bg and having a 24 hour cvs around is a big help! The store is like any other cvs store.. Crowded aisles, nonchalant/ spare service and shady people lol! I have used the pharmacy on 2 different occasions - it may take a while to get your order, but they have never messed it up. The pharmacy service has actually been nice, so I don't see a reason to complaint! read more

I'd like once again to thank Murielle for the outstanding service. I visited the store on January 21st to get some drinks. Murielle came to help at the cash register. After she realized the product was expired, she quickly apologized and took a step further. She actually checked the refrigerator to make sure there was no expired items! I seriously would only give them 0 stars ! The techs here at this pharmacy are absolutely incompetent!!!!! And lazy!!! They didn't fill my prescription correctly TWICE!! My Dr had to call them 3 times to get it right. Then apparently the pharmacy manager started arguing with my Dr saying he "didn't know what he was talking about and wrote the prescription wrong " like come on !!! They filled one of my prescriptions by half to make it easier on them. They seem to ALWAYS to blame screw ups on insurance or the Dr. Maybe these techs need to stay in training a little longer. I don't know WHAT is going on with this CVS right now but this is borderline dangerous for patients... More than once I've gone to pick up a script only to see a sign saying that the pharmacy is closed. I don't blame the employees, it's CVS as a company or maybe the management at this particular location. Their staffing issue is so bad that I will wait well over 15-30 minutes on hold and no one ever picks up. I haven't been able to get through on the phone for a couple of months and it's 50/50 as to whether the pharmacy will even be open if I go in person. I can't imagine if I was someone who physically wasn't able to go to the pharmacy and how dangerous that could be. As a nurse it really upsets me to think about people who aren't getting access to their meds because CVS can't figure out it's staffing issues... If you pay your employees fairly this issue wouldn't happen! I've gone ahead and switched my primary pharmacy to the new location across from the Clarksburg outlets. They actually pick up the phone and don't randomly close down the pharmacy because there's no one there to work... read more

They are down to two staff in their pharmacy. The outside window and the inside window taking in new prescriptions are both closed. I waited on the phone for 1 full hour, jumped in the car to go to pharmacy, got in line, hung up my phone (1.15 hours). There were 8 calls on hold. All for me to find out how to switch my prescriptions to another location. When they do answer the phone, there is hello or goodbye, just click! Pack your patience or change pharmacies. read more

I came to this CVS looking for weekly sale items that were not in stock at my usual store. Shopping carts were immediately accessible inside the store which was convenient considering that it was cold outside. The coupon scanner was also located in the front of the store and it was easy to access. I was slightly disappointed to find that the sale items I was searching for was also out of stock here. It was not the first time here that I was unable to find a weekly sale item...perusing through the store I also noticed that some shelves were empty and not restocked. I tracked down a store associate and inquired if there was additional stock left for the item, and she was eager to assist. I was appreciative of her efforts to locate additional stock. The checkout process went well considering I had a stack of coupons to redeem towards the purchase. Maria was quick to process my transaction and accompanying coupons. Even after my transaction was done she asked if I needed help with anything else. The staff are very helpful here, I will definitely come back to this location. read more

After writing a terrible review of CVS in Mont Vlg I had to write to give props to this one. After years of dealing with the incompetence of the 24 hr one in MV I decided to try this one and I am so glad I did. This one is night and day. All of the employees especially Tina know what they are doing and they are very nice and pleasant. I am so glad that I stopped the insanity and brought my family's meds to this one. I cannot say enough nice things about them and they are all true. The wait is usually about 20-30 minutes compared to 4 hours to 4 days with the MV location. I sent them a thank you note a while back because I truly appreciated them and you know what they did? They sent one back to me with all of the team members having signed it. How sweet is that?? A huge Thank you to all of the employees who work there and they also keep their cool. I once witnessed an obvious drug seeker demanding her Dilaudid rx be given to her without her ID and that drug seeker was rude and obnoxious and my 2 yr olds could have seen right through her, but The clerks stood their ground and were very professional. Lets hope that girl found a new pharmacy or rehab. Anyway I love this CVS and will never go anywhere else but I don't want everyone to know my best kept secret either!! :) read more

Every time I come to this CVS I have an issue with one of my prescriptions, or all of them. Also, when I try to re-order online and check the button that I want them to request a new prescription they always end up calling me and saying that I don't have a prescription refill left. They always ask me to call the doctor to refill the prescription. I said "isn't that something you all can do as a courtesy? It's offered on the app." Then they say sure we can do it. Make sure you were a member to give them your CVS card or phone number when picking up your prescriptions because they don't always ask and they can't add it on afterwards. I just sought at the window for 10 minutes waiting for them to find out how to do it only to find out they weren't checking they just left me sitting there. read more

Without doubt the worse service ever. My prescriptions are never filled when promised. Certain staff members are downright unpleasant and unapologetic. I am moving all of my prescriptions, as well as those of my family, to Rite Aid in Germantown. Perhaps if everyone took their prescriptions elsewhere they just might get the hint. I have been to the other CVS in Germantown and this one is totally worth the little bit of extra drive time to get to!! Everyone is so helpful, especially the one woman (I totally forgot her name :/ She had henna on her hand when I was there a week ago). She was AHmazing!!! She went out of her way to help me with trying to get my insurance information when she could've easily said no. Give this location a shot - they really are caring people in there and treat you like a person, not just another customer :) read more

The extra star is because they were nice initially ... And that was when I first had to transfer my medications from another state. They lost extra stars for complete rudeness on the phone. They fax and call 3x and that's it. Well, when you send a fax and call the wrong phone number ... Don't be rude to me just because I want to verify the phone numbers they have in their database! It's a courtesy call and request when the customer (whom, I might add, is keeping your store in business!!) calls back to verify that all the numbers are correct. First of all, as a staff member of the pharmacy, you do as the customer requests; NOT what your policy states ... Especially since your database had the wrong phone number! Second, (and this is my final thought), as a healthcare provider, you may want to be more professional! You don't know the person calling on the other line. That customer on the line may be Professional Healthcare Practitioner, as well, with a Doctorate Degree! Strike 1 is the horrible wait time to pick up medications! 1 star lost ... Strike 2 is this latest epic drama! 2 stars lost! Strike 3 .... And, business will go to another CVS or another Pharmacy! read more

What I need is almost always out of stock, or there are not enough items to take advantage of a sale deal (BOGO). The manager, Teresa, is super nice, but unfortunately her customer service skills can't make up for the absence of items in the store. I have gotten my prescriptions filled here over the years and have found the staff to be professional and helpful. Usually prescriptions are ready when requested and they are always filled properly. The staff has good communication if there is any issue with a prescription as far as availability. Even if you choose not to enroll in auto refills, they will call you to see if you need medication when it is getting low. They also process manufacturers' drug coupons. read more

The pharmacy here is awful. The only reason I keep coming back is that the other 2 pharmacies near me are also awful! Every month, I have 4 prescriptions refilled. I call in the refill request and inevitably, it will not be ready when I come to pick it up. They literally make a mistake on at least 3 of my Rx's every month (for the last year). It won't be ready and they'll have no record of it being called in- this is the case whether I call in a refill or my doctor calls it in or I drop off a paper prescription. Very often, you have to wait while they search for your prescription when you come to pick it up- they never have it organized in the alphabetical filing bins, so they have to fish through each letter of the alphabet until they finally find yours. They don't call or text you to let you know if your health insurance isn't allowing your refill to be processed or if they don't have your medication in stock. So you don't find out until you come to pick it up and have waited forever in line. Once I sent someone else to pick up my Rx for me. It was supposed to be ready, but of course, it wasn't because they couldn't find the order. They asked if she (the person picking up my Rx) could wait 15 min while they filled it. She said okay. 45 min later, it still wasn't ready. She asked about it again and they assured her it would be ready in just a few minutes. She ended up waiting over 2 hours in the store because they kept saying it would be ready soon. They're very busy and even though there are a lot of people working there, it isn't enough. Everybody has a bad day, but in their case they mess up 80% of the time. It is truly an exercise in frustration to deal with them. They're still better than the CVS near Lakeforest Mall, though. read more
