While I've been here a few times to help a sick friend in getting their scripts, this location sucks. Pros: it's new and not ratchet. I dont have to flag down an employee to get me razors, or to get a padlock off my detergent! There's this one friendly cashier, blonde woman who is the only soul there that gives great customer service. Decent parking lot. No bums outside asking for a loosey. Cons: sale items are always out of stock. Coupon machine is always down. This is important for a major couponisita like me. Pharmacy team: lazy lazy lazy and rude. I had my sick friend who was released from the er and needed her scripts bad, it was a Sunday night and they stopped taking scripts a half hour before they closed. Though she was going to pay cash for a very common med that was in stock, they didn't budge. Understaffed!! I went in because I lost my debit card at the CVS on Wisteria Drive. Yasman could have not been any sweeter and more helpful. She took the time to go through the credit cards that were left there. Unfortunately my card was not in the stack but I completely appreciate her taking the time to look. Thank goodness it was slow and nobody was behind me. She also help me find an item that I was looking for. Yasman is excellent at her job, honest, professional, compassionate, personal, and cares about the customer which I am proud to say I am one of them. Waited over 15 minutes after ringing the service bell once every few minutes before I had to go up and wait in line (another 5-10 minutes) at the front register to ask for help for a locked up item.They only have markers in front of their cash register but nowhere else in the store to encourage social distancing/reduce foot traffic in their narrow aisles. They do have plexiglass between customers and the staff at the register and encourage using the self checkout machine instead but clearly this place is either understaffed or not keen on customer service. read more

I am not a huge fan of CVS, but this particular store is really solid. First off, it is 10 minutes closer to our house than the other CVS in Germantown is, they get a point just for that. Secondly the team is friendly and they always greet you at the door. They get a point for that. Finally the store is clean and new so one more point. Really this is a very nice CVS store. On 11/20/2020, from 12:20pm to 2:30pm, I was sitting in line at the drive thru for over 2 hours waiting for a covid test. It was not a long wait until 2 cars ahead of me, then it's been 2 hours. I thought covid tests were 15 mins a pop. I will never return to this CVS ever. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a CVS. The absolute worst customer service. CVS Pharmacy - Was sitting here behind the one car for an hour - Drugstores Near Me - Germantown, Maryland

If I could give this CVS zero Stars I would. I usually get my prescriptions filled at Costco, but decided to try CVS which was a huge mistake. The first time I went to the store the line for the pickup was halfway down the store. When I asked why the line was so long? I was told the computers were down for 2 hrs and now, they're up again. In fact, there were only 2 people working behind the counter. I left and came back a few days later. This time I tried the drive-thru only to wait 45 minutes outside in line. At the 40-minute mark, I called the store and asked if there was a problem because I had been in the drive-up line 40 minutes already and again, I was told that the computers were down. (Sound familiar)? I stuck it out and when I arrived at the pick-up window, I asked how long the computers were down? The pharmacy employee told me the computers were NOT DOWN at all that day! WHAT??? So, this is obviously a common lie that the employees are told to give when people complain about long wait times. This is a very busy store. The problem really lies with CVS for not having enough pharmacists, pharmacy technicians & employees to handle the workload - especially during the busiest times of day which is after school, and in the evenings. I also had five prescriptions which were not ready after being faxed in by my Dr. more than 5 hours prior. When I asked why? The pharmacy employee told me "It was because the medication was not in stock" which I couldn't believe because it is a very common medication, so I asked to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist said that was not correct, they DID have the medication and she would have to find out what the issue is the next day as it was 9 p.m. and the pharmacy was closing. Ok, fine, but I don't like being any given any BS answer just to send me away! I will field my complaint to the CVS District Manager/Executive office. Something's gotta change here. Bottom line is that I don't recommend using any CVS. Their treatment of customers is very poor, unprofessional & low class. You never get this kind of treatment at Costco! read more

They spelled my name wrong for five straight visits, could never find my prescription , I was never in and out of there in less than an hour , this is until the Pharmacy Manager and Mel the pharmacy tech pulled off some great customer recovery on Sunday 3/5. Drive thru. Why so long. Been in this line for over an hour. Likely closer to 90 minutes. Trying to be credible.

I tested positive for COVID. One of my prescriptions for my thyroid was suppose to be refilled but it wasn't. I had the CVS app to try to find the status of my refill and it said I did not have any refills. I called the phone number on my medicine bottle since it said I had refills until 7/18/24. The automated voice said it was refilled on 10/23/23 but I never got a notification. So I placed the refill again on the phone on Friday. Saturday, I called for the status and it said I had no refills being processed. I tried to refill it on the app but it froze. Rebooted and still could not process. I called CVS and was put on hold for almost an hour. I was trying not to go to CVS because I had COVID but since I had no more meds, I drove to CVS since no one picked up after almost an hour of waiting on the phone. I hope you can understand my frustration by now. When I explained everything, they could not explain why the med I needed was not on refill status. He processed the order but after a 1/2 hour of waiting, I felt too sick to stay. CVS is a complete nightmare especially when you are sick. Went to pick up my prescription and there are 16 people in line for prescription pick up. I have been here for almost 1/2 hour and still waiting. Obviously COVID isn't a thing to worry about any longer. read more

Had an appointment for a flu shot at 11am at CVS Wisteria Drive, Germantown MD. Got there 15 minutes ahead of time but had to stand in a long line waiting to check in. There was nobody at the check-in counter. It took 25 minutes to check in - way past my appt. time. Then I had to stand in another long line to actually get the shot. There was nobody giving shots. Asked for a time estimate and was told they had no idea. Might take another half an hour or longer, no clue. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. No automated check-in. They give out appointments without having staff to do the work. No apologies offered for wasting my time. I canceled the appointment after wasting 35-40 minutes in the store and still nobody was giving shots to anyone when I left. Long line of people with 10:30am appointments still waiting at 11:30 with no announcement about estimated time. If I could give a negative rating to this store, I would. They should close this store down immediately. Don't advertise vaccines if you cannot provide them. Worst service ever! read more

I must say- this CVS pharmacy has gotten much better! I didn't give 5 stars because of the slow, real slow, telephone response.

I am surprised that this drugstore is listed as closed. It is most assuredly open. I have had multiple prescriptions filled here in the last month. I have to have my prescriptions filled here because of my insurance CVS Caremark. In short, the staff here seems disorganized and the waits are very long. Even though I have been told repeatedly that I am enrolled in the notification feature where they phone me when my prescription is ready, that service is very spotty. I was on hold today for 16 minutes because I wanted to request my prescription be ready tonight. I was told it was ready but never got a call or text. The first time I picked up a prescription here I handed the counter person my CVS prescription card yet she never applied it towards the cost of the prescriptions I was picking up. She asked me if I had a CVS card and I asked her if she meant the CVS prescription card she had in her hand. Yet she never processed the prescriptions using my prescription plan. I came home wondering why my prescriptions were so high and called my drug benefits provider, thinking perhaps I didn't understand my plan or needed to meet a deductible. The drug benefits provider was able to ascertain that my prescriptions hadn't been processed under my drug plan. She very kindly phoned the CVS and was put on hold and then spoken to rudely when she inquired about this. I had to go back to the CVS a second time to get a refund! I would go elsewhere but there aren't many CVS's close by that have better ratings. read more

I've had (almost) consistently great service here. Whether I'm making purchases or returns, the staff has been helpful and (generally) pleasant. One of the managers, Sam, is especially great... He's always smiling and full of energy and he's been great at helping to solve any problems I may have. They have a pretty good variety of products too... a few weeks ago, I even found a great pair of memory foam slippers there... score!! Pro Tip: This store honors CVS coupons, whether or not they are expired: definitely an added bonus. I'm sorry that other Yelpers have had bad experiences with the pharmacy but I have received nothing but great service there. One of the pharmacists (I think his name is Emmanuel), was especially helpful when I had been released from the hospital after being treated for a severe case of food poisoning. I had brand new insurance (so new that I hadn't even received my insurance card yet) and needed to get my prescription filled. After getting the runaround from the local Giant, I gave up and decided to try my luck at CVS. Emmanuel ran into the same problem I encountered at Giant, but instead of saying, "Sorry, can't help you", he took some information from me, called a special CVS pharmacy hotline, and in about 10 minutes he was able to verify my insurance and process my prescription. After spending the night in the hospital, I was both tired and weak and I just wanted to get my medication and go home and rest. The staff here was tremendously helpful in helping me to accomplish just that. The only down side is that they close at 9 pm. It would be great to have a 24 hour store in case of emergency, but hey, you can't have everything. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. There's this new lady, Addie, at the pharmacy who always seems to be in a bad mood and has the worst attitude I've ever come across at that place. She shouldn't be dealing with customers if she's always going to be in a bad mood and not smile or even pretend she loves being there. I'm beginning to dislike going to that pharmacy because of her stank attitude. I miss the other lady who used to be there. I can't remember her name but she always had a smile on her face and gave the warmest welcome whenever I walked up to the counter. It's a stark contrast to this Addie person who never acknowledges one's presence. I love shopping in the store itself and the other cashiers are very nice, but I'll be moving my prescriptions elsewhere. I simply cannot deal with bad customer service. read more

Only my 2nd time using this drug store. First time I was 4th in slow line to get meds. OK, things happen. Today I was 6th in line, then my granddaughter had to potty... Most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen. Now back in line and I was 9th!! With 5 people behind me!! I overhear a woman yelling that her meds she called in 5 hours ago not ready. CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Germantown, Maryland

Looking at previous reviews of this CVS, I was nervous using it when I moved into the area. However, I've had no problems and have continued to go back. I had a string of health problems and was getting prescriptions filled almost every week for a while, and the staff was very friendly and remembered me which makes a big difference for me. Part of the appeal is definitely convenience for me...there is another CVS down the road but its not as close and not as easily accessible while driving. It doesn't help that there's plenty of great food options in the shopping center (Try the Dutch Market on weekends!) Sometimes lines are long at the pharmacy but it entirely depends when you go. I personally try to go on my lunch break and have never had to wait more than a few minutes at most. Staff are accommodating and pleasant to talk to. As with any CVS, there are some good deals and a string of coupons every purchase. They have always had my prescription on hand or been able to order it within 24 hours and always are very honest and communicative. Overall a good CVS location and a great addition to a shopping center that doesn't have any other convenience stores. read more

Dr called in my refill more than once however when I called the pharmacy after talking to my dr the second time,I was told "they get 600+ prescriptions a day" and that was that. The pharmacy person told me to call my dr again. I would definitely NOT recommend this pharmacy they lose prescriptions and don't take responsibility. read more

Get told my script is ready. Go to the store and there is a handwritten sign on the door say" Closed due to computer Malfunction" People like me are pulling up and looking like fools.
