I've found all the employees at this pharmacy to be professional and courteous. The pharmacists have worked to address any issues and questions whether in person or left in messages which are answered promptly. Original prescriptions are processed almost immediately with further communication as necessary and drugs are immediately ordered if not in stock. Even drug deliveries arrive without delay. Annie, the pharmacist, was extremely helpful (and very patient) in figuring out what supplies could be available for my cat's diabetic needs. The staff manning the pickup stations offer friendly and efficient customer service. Tyler gives his efficient customer service with a sense of humor and is good with snappy comebacks which makes the interaction entertaining. Having such positive experiences with this pharmacy helps to alleviate some of the stress from dealing with health issues and having to take unwanted but necessary drugs. read more

Will never shop here again. And warning to anyone who wants to ship a UPS package from this location. I normally ship all my UPS mail from the UPS location at Nob Hill. However they were closed on 12/31 so I went to the CVS across the street which is a UPS drop off location. They took my package & it should have been picked up by the UPS driver on 1/2. The package was never delivered and my customer was wondering where her order was and I realized the tracking wasn't telling me anything and I called UPS today as I couldn't get any update. I spoke to them and they encouraged me to go back to CVS to see about my package. I couldn't imagine that it would still be there and I assumed it was lost somewhere. But, I ended up going to CVS today and shockingly there was my package unsent: sitting there on the shelf on packages to by picked up by UPS. I dropped it off 10 days ago? 10 days!!! The cashier was shocked but not helpful and I explained that I dropped it off on 12/31. She didn't understand or have an explanation as to why it hadn't been picked up yet & said the UPS driver had been by that location earlier today. I go here to pick up lots of stuff as it is right around the corner! In the pharmacy I'm usually helped by Tyler/Sandra/ or Maria which is always a great experience! They're friendly and efficient. However I was helped by Alma today in pharmacy and it was a really bad experience. She was not only rude to me but the customers before me. When a customer at another window asked for help after waiting patiently for over 5 minutes at that window she and the other pharmacists ignored her and didn't respond. I politely told Alma that I think the woman who had been waiting before me for sometime needed help- she looked at the woman and rudely said I can't help you. She didn't bother to say someone will be with you in a moment and everyone behind the desk pretended not to see her. Other customers behind me even made comments about how rude they were. The woman asked if she could place her bags in the cart and Tori yelled at her saying she needed to scan the code first. The woman kindly let her know that she didn't know and Tori mocked her and essentially called her "dumb" for not knowing she(Tori) needed to scan the bags first (but weird because Tory handed her the bags in the first place). Tori clearly hates her job and customers, and it's beyond disheartening that they have someone like her, with no respect, consideration, or integrity, at the front end of the store. Made the mistake of going to the Gilroy CVS today. Took me about two minutes to find what I needed then I got in line. Five people deep waiting to be checked out. One employee helping someone with passport photos. This employee made multiple attempts at calling someone from the back to come work the cash register and surprise, surprise, no other employees could be bothered to come and serve the customers. Was at drive-thru and no sign saying close and the security screen still up and window partially open. The Asian male Phamrcacist working the evening shift 06/12/2023 was stating right at the drive-thru window using the computer and now one did he look at me or let me know he is not servicing drive-thru. Already been waiting for 10mins. I have no problem if they closed security gate or out a sign saying short staff not servicing drive-thru. That's OK then I don't have to wait and eventually figure out we will not be service. What a lack of respect for customers and I'm not the only one he did this too. Just look at your security camera and you can see how many potential customers you may be loosing due to his uncompetitive manage his department. I seen it happen before but I happen to be inside shopping and did my service as a walk-in. Rite it in San Jose my old pharmacy they would go back and forth from counter to drive thru. Im not sure what all the negativity is because I have never had a bad experience! Ive gone to Gilroy CVS pharmacy for about 20 years or so and before that they were Longs drugs i think so actually about 40 years. They auto refill and send me reminders to pick up. I can easily use the drive thru if im just not feelin up to goin in. Every now and then the drive thru is closed but its not a big deal. The convenience of it is huge. My prescriptions are ready on time and they send a text for that too if i want to avoid driving there and waiting. Most pharmacies are a bit understaffed ive noticed and despite that the employees dont rush me if i have questions. They make calls to my physician if theres a problem and then call me when its straightened out. They do a good job and are friendly despite all the rude people they deal with all day. I recently watched a lady yell at an employee because her insurance wouldnt pay (not the employees fault!) and she was calm and friendly and offered to see if they would pay for the generic version. I mean seriously, theyre doing their best! read more

It's a little wonder why this store only has two stars for a rating... Every time I leave here I swear to myself that I will never come back and shop here again. But for the sake of convenience and snappy instant photos, like a sucker I keep coming back. First of all I will start with the fact that the parking lot and trying to get out of the parking lot is absolutely beyond ridiculously stupid and dumb. Do you have to make an illegal left turn if you want to go out on wren and go anywhere besides to the right! But the crappy parking lot is the least of the stores worries. Whenever you get in line there's always about 15 people in line for some reason. No matter how many checkers they have working upfront, the line is just endless and it takes forever! It's like the people shopping have literally been just dropped off from an alien spacecraft from one of saturns moons and have no idea how currency works or how to do a transaction... I am just stunned. Furthermore the one grumpy lady who works here at the front who literally yells at people as they're trying to pay for their items. She is a real piece of work. She is so mean and you feel like a recalcitrant school child being yelled at by a grumpy old hag of a teacher. It's apparent that she's just having a bad day, but she seems to take out her rage on anyone and everyone who steps in front of her cash register. So once again while I sit in my car shaking my head at how dumb I was to walk into the store and shop here again, I will probably end up coming back again for photos just because it's convenient and cheap. read more

Once they moved from one side of the street to the other the pharmacist and staff became rude, slow and down right mean. I would reorder and they always sent messages my Dr. Refused to respond.I would get text my meds were ready for pick up and I would go in and they would argue nothing of the sort was sent. I would show them and pulling teeth is more pleasant.After five months without meds I switch for good. I hardly go in and avoid it all all costs. Sadly they help who they like as if we are in high school. Goodbye forever. I found a much more competent pharmacy and have zero complaints or concerns. Super clean because it's a new building (literally built from the ground up) and location. Parking is easily accessible and store is open 24 hours. As for the pharmacy, they're not 24 hours, M-F: 8:00am-9:00pm, however, now with a drive-thru! They also still provide photo and immunization services. Landscaping seems like it's still being worked on but overall a nice. Wonder what's going to happen to the old location...which is just across the street. read more

My son was jumping around because he had to use the bathroom really bad and was about to pee his pants and she said yeah they should let him use it but its up to the pharmacy which tells me they have a choice. I fully expected them to make an exception but to my surprise I get back there and just tell him to run to the restroom as I shouted my son needed to use the restroom quickly and the response I got was its not public restroom so he couldnt use it. I said its not for me and they insisted not for public use. Maybe take down the restroom signs if you cant even make exceptions for kids. Luckily Safeway was right across the street and allowed us to run in quickly. I will never be back to this store. read more

WORST pharmacy I've ever been to. The most poorly-managed pharmacy - and their pharmacy manager has an attitude. NO focus on customer service whatsoever. Customers seem to be an interruption to their day. One person working the drive-through AND the in-store line, while anywhere from 4-6 additional employees working right there in the pharmacy NEVER help, despite lines in both. If you're in the drive-thru OR in the line inside the store and they have to re-bill your insurance for ANY reason (even if it's their mistake), you're directed to go to the "drop-off" window line (inside the store). There, you have to wait so another employee can fix it, who then drops it into a basket behind them (with other people's prescriptions in it). "Give us 5 minutes." Right. After the pharmacist gets around to re-billing and printing out the paperwork while you continue to wait, you get to go back into the original line you were in and wait all over again. Yesterday I had cancer surgery and came home with 11 inches of new stitches. The doctor had given me a prescription which I went to fill today, I hadn't even looked at what it was for. I went back to pick it up and was told it's to soon to fill it, which didn't make sense to me as this was the first prescription I ever received from this doctor. Instead of explaining to me that I was taking the same prescribed medicine at a higher dose from another doctor, the pharmacist said she wouldn't fill it for another week, I asked if that was her call and then she said because I could cut the higher dose I was on for stage 4 osteoarthritis in half, she wouldn't fill it for 3 weeks. So here I am on a higher dose for osteoarthritis of my hip knee and back, and the cancer surgeon prescribed the same thing at a lower dose, unbeknownst to me, this pharmacist, in a very rude and condescending manner told me that she, not my doctor had control over my prescription... and that she would determine when I could get it filled. Well this is unacceptable behavior ! All she had to do was tell me it was the same thing at a lower dose and it would have been a done deal, but acting like she's the doctor, the decision maker, in a rude condescending manner is totally unacceptable! CVS needs to hire decent human beings, train them as to the parameters of their job, and teach them customer service skills !! Until then my business goes elsewhere! read more

I race to Gilroy from Morgan Hill and get there at 1:23 and am tod im to late and will have to waite until 2:15. My MIL (mother-in-law) has been using CVS pharmacy when it was "Longs Drugs" since 1972. She is currently in her mid 70's and needs heart medication due to heart failure. Just recently, my MIL's cardiologist changed the dosage of her medication and sent it electronically to CVS to be filled. They lowered her dosage. The doctors office has shown PROOF that they sent the lower dosage to CVS to be filled. CVS filled the WRONG dosage and gave it to my MIL. My MIL looked at the prescription before she left the store. She seen her name. Her birthday. The name of the medication. So she left and went home. When she got home, she realized that they gave her the wrong dosage. When she went back to the store to show them, they blamed her and said, she should have noticed it when she picked it up. She never opened the bottle. She seen the paper (prescription info) on the bag w/all the information on it. CVS screwed up and instead of admitting it, will not admit their mistake and so my MIL had to pay money again to get the right prescription filled. If she hadn't noticed the mistake, she would have gotten very sick. I went to talk to the store manager about this on Friday morning and was told he was not in that day. Nor would he be in on Saturday or Sunday. The pharmacist Rachel and the woman who told my MIL it was her mistake both gave me attitudes saying she needed to make sure that the doctor sent the right prescription amount in. The doctors office showed proof that they did. CVS still has NEVER apologized for filling the wrong prescription. CVS corporate needs to bring people in who are WANTING to help their customers. Rachel (the pharmacist) and the clerk (wearing glasses) working in pharmacy on Friday morning 8/13/21 need to take some customer service lessons and ADMIT that they screwed up. Please corporate bring back Sharon (the tall Red-head that ran the store). We need someone to work the CVS in Gilroy, CA who actually cares about customer Service and the HEALTH of their customers. read more

Customer service is crap! Certainly will not be MY neighborhood pharmacy! Even on the phone, where you don't "have" to smile - still horrible! Took my daughter in to pick up her inhaler on March 16. The drop-off clerk advised me that (while pointing to a lady down the counter) "she'll input your information" since it was our first time there. We move down. THIS lady - no greeting, no acknowledgment, nothing. She begins asking us questions to populate in her database, I give her my prescription card, and she lets me know that my daughter is not listed on my coverage. I know this to be 100% incorrect so I let her know "that's incorrect" and she puts out her hand and says "well let me run it again". She does. She's looking at her monitor and says "no, she's not listed". I asked her how much her inhaler will be out of pocket and agree to purchase. The next day, I call my prescription coverage and sure as heck - my daughter IS listed on my coverage! Out of pocket was $62.99, under coverage would have been $35.00. They advised me to call CVS to reverse the claim and run my insurance. Then life happened. Today, April 14, I finally get around to calling CVS. I swear the lady who answered my call was the same lady who input my information into the database. As I'm explaining the situation, she says "why wasn't your insurance ran". I share my story with her and she tells me "I can't run this. It's over a month." My quick, annoyed response that it wasn't a month yet and she still says "she can't". Fortunately calling my prescription company was a nice breathe of fresh air to calm me down. I hope there's a store manager or pharmacy manager reading these reviews because your star rating and reviews are pretty crappy. I'm happy to take our business elsewhere, pronto. read more

I want to give a shout out for Pamela the cashier at the CVS pharmacy Gilroy. She asked me if I wanted to pay five dollars a month for a Savings Program and I adamantly said no. She very politely explained the program to me which I clearly did not understand because of an auto accident I was in so she explained it again and again and I finally understood what she was saying. Although she is beautiful to look at she was like a bulldog with lockjaw insisting that I take a look at this program. Bottom line she saved me $48 on my first purchase just minutes ago and it paid for the program basically for the entire year. Great job Pamela!! This rating is for the Pharmacy only. First, they have made mistakes on our prescriptions and one day I had to return 3 times to get it right and a fourth to pick it up! I even questioned it with the pharmacist when I was there and she said it was ok. When I returned back to the pharmacist, she questioned the person whom pulled the item and I heard her say "well, it was similar to the other medication". OMG, this person should be fired! Not to mention they want to auto refill your meds even if it was a 7 day medication. And when you do not refill, they call your doctor to get it refilled! Don't bother the Doctors, they are busy enough! And we get about 3 or more calls per day to refill our prescriptions. Even ones that we no longer take! Not a responsible place and our Doctors do not like them either. This is for the CVS in Gilroy. read more

It's usually not very busy when I'm there, but when I go I have an easy time looking and getting help if I need it. If I happen to be in this area, I will likely go to CVS. I just spent over an hour waiting to get a flu shot at CVS. I registered for it in the morning and was told to come back at 2:00. I was told to line up when I came back. I was second in line and for half an hour the line didn't move at all, because their computer system wasn't working correctly. Then they assisted 4 other people who arrived after I did before they assisted me. I finally got my shot at 3:15. What a fiasco. read more

I always make sure to stop at the coupon center and scan my CVS card to see what deals they have going on! They are open 24 hours which is a bonus. Went in today the CVS Pharmacy today to get my second COVID booster shot. I had an appointment at 11:00 am PT. There were 4-6 workers behind the counter and they all looked busy, but no one came to the counter to help me. (I was the only customer at the time). In a few moments one woman came to help me. She was very nice and told me that I had to have my previous COVID shot cards with me. I didn't have them. She said to bring them in and that I didn't need another appointment. She said I should just come in. So I went home and got my COVID shot record cards. I returned immediately to the store. I saw the same thing 4-6 workers behind the counter -- no one but me was waiting -- and they all ignored me except the nice woman who helped me before. She started to help me. She took my cards to start the process. Another woman, who I think was in charge, told the nice woman not to help me and to get back to filling prescriptions. The nice woman told me to wait. So I did. Meanwhile, other customers showed up and were ignored. By this time there were 7-8 customers waiting. So I called the store to ask for the manager. I got the woman who was in charge behind the pharmacy counter. She glared at me -- she could see that it was my calling on my mobile phone -- and told me that she was getting my shot ready. So I went to the area where they give the shots. She came in and was very angry. She said "You don't understand our work flow." I should have said "You don't understand customer service." but I was too flustered to think about that. All I said was "Please don't hurt me." Then I thought I didn't want someone who was that angry giving me a shot so I said "Maybe I should go somewhere else to get my shot." She then picked up my COVID vaccination history cards. I grabbed them from her, and she grabbed them back and said "I need to erase your booster record from today and she crossed out what she had written for today." Anyway, I left the store. When I got home I received an email saying that I DID receive by booster. CVS, get your act together and practice customer service and care! read more
