We came here before heading to Gilroy Gardens and they had all the random items that we needed. I asked for directions for an item and the employee was friendly and helpful. Self check out was easy. The front bathrooms were under construction, so your only option is to walk to the back. The aisle labels were a little off, which made navigation a little trickier. read more

In the past I came to this store and had great service. I came back early this morning because I needed two tires. I came very early in hopes to be fit in before the rush. I was met by the same person as last time. He tried very hard to discourage me from waiting and kept insisting I make an appointment. I shared I was willing to wait even if it was a few hours as I needed to go to work right after. The staff was not helpful to a walk in at all even though they advertise walk ins. I did not feel the same hospitality as I did the first time, which is what brought me back. I walked away without getting the work done. I called the Milpitas store and was confirmed they had my tires. I asked if I needed to make an appointment and I was told no to come right away and they would get me in. They said they have a lot of techs so it was not at all a problem. The service in Milpitas was excellent. I would have loved to keep my business local. Wish I had the same experience as the first time I came here. Milpitas delivered. read more

I do not recommend Walmart supercenter customer service is really poor. You get better service at the Walmart in morgonhill thing you do the Gilroy one and also the service was horrible. I got better service at the morgonhill store. They may be open later, but the quality may be shorter, but the service is better. read more

I came for a RV City Inlet which is a basic part not carried in the store. I then brought the car for an oil change and the oil I requested was not in the shop so they offered me a $10 higher service (different brand of oil) which they should have offered at the lower price. They are severely understaffed in the service department. read more

I placed an order for pickup and at 5:02pm i received an email saying it was ready. I put that i was on my way and since I work just a few minutes from the store I got there at 5:05pm. I counted 8 cars that parked after me receive their orders before I did. I had to get off at 5:45pm and approach an associate because I was frustrated beyond belief. They gave me some lame excuse about those cars checking in to their spots before I did and that is why they received their orders first. But that can't be since you have to park in a number and then check in. Needless to say I got my order a few minutes after I complained. This is the last time I visit this location. read more

We purchased a battery at Walmart for our Toyota Sequoia in June of 2024. My husband left it on the back seat of the car for a couple weeks. When he went to use it, he discovered that it had leaked all over the car seat, burning a hole through the seat and foam inner layer. We contacted Walmart about this and they referred us to the product supplier, Elliot Auto Supply. Walmart gave us a refund for the battery but would not address the damage. Elliot Auto Supply forwarded the claim onto Factory Motor Parts, the Manufacturer. This process took months with us not hearing back from anyone. We finally heard back in November of 2024 and they denied any liability. We tried and tried to get ahold of someone about this decision and after a couple of emails, they stopped responding. We kept sending emails for a few months to no avail. Then we moved. This took a great deal of our time as it was a difficult move and we were not able to pursue this further. I am finally able to address this. We do not know why they denied the claim. The battery was not left in the sun even though it was in the car during this time. We have another vehicle that has a battery from this company. The battery is in the cab of the car thus negating any claim of a battery in a hot car overheating and causing a leak. So we do not know why they said this was not their responsibility as it was clearly a manufacturing defect. Walmart dropped the ball as did the manufacturer and we will not be buying batteries from Walmart or this company ever again. We still feel we are owed compensation for this as it would cost about $3500 - $4000 to fix the seat. read more

Ever since COVID I have been using the Walmart app to schedule grocery pickups every week. Not only does it save me time but there's a greater selection. If it's not in the store they will ship it to you at no extra cost. I order the groceries in the app, drive to the store and it's loaded in my car within 10 minutes. I have made a number of returns and Walmart has always very good about honoring that. If I get the wrong item or it if it's damaged they just refund my money, no return necessary. And that happens rarely. And the prices are very competitive, even better than Amazon sometimes. read more

I'm not sure how you're supposed to buy anything at this location when you have items locked up and when you go and ask for help they never show. I waited about 15 minutes before I left and just ordered it on Amazon. This is why I shop at Target. We only stopped here to return a gift that was given to us. This has to be one of the worst customer service locations in the district/region. With all the changes in hours of operation and policies you would think they would have someone answer their phones. it is a crapshoot whether somebody decides to answer the phone there or not. It's quite disappointing. I was in their store two weeks ago and bought some children's clothing for a gift. I found some thing I'll like it better at another location. Nowhere in the clothing department does it say you cannot return clothing. I went stood in line for half an hour to get inside the store and once I'm ready to enter the store they tell me I cannot return the clothing. I had to take the objects back to my car, which I understand. However, when I returned inside the store I went and walked around and there was no policies anywhere and nor did the cashier and for me there were no returns or exchanges because of Covid 19. I went and found a store manager and ask her why there were no policies displayed anywhere in the clothing department's throughout the store. She stated they were only in the dressing room. Not very helpful if you're buying a gift or don't have time try on the clothes. she stated I will have 30 days to return the clothing plus an additional week. That's not fair to the consumer. I have money just sitting in a bag. I have been calling to find out when I can return the merchandise. It rang and rang after I dial zero for the operator... nobody answered. I hung up and called back somebody answer the phone but remain quiet because I could hear the background noise. I said hello several times with no courtesy of a response. I hung up called again and the same thing it rang and rang and rang. You should really teacher your employees some customer service. read more

I usually shop at night to avoid the rush and since the workers are usually nice. NOT today, some older lady working the clothes , with super thinning hair was beyond rude. Not the first time either, before i've asked her for help finding an item that said there was 8 in stock. She responded rudely saying if you don't find it on the floor then they don't have it so to save her the time, likeee okay ? You work here and have a phone to look it up stop being lazy .. Next today at around 9:30 ish i asked for for the fitting room which i thought were opened since i saw a customer get out of them to where she said no they close at 8 and walked away when i was still talking. so i tried a jacket over my long sleeve and left it where i got it from which was the front of the wrack it belongs on. She came up to me when i walked away and proceeded to say you left this here and where did you get it from to where i told her i got it from the exact same place where it belongs just last color. She then looked at me up and down and said ew it stinks like ma'am please check your hygiene before you worry about me because the perfume isn't it. Got my notification the order was ready and headed over. I had to go inside (per the app) because it was after 8:00, but the pick up area is hard to miss. This is the WORST Walmart store. I had a grocery pick-up for the 9-10am slot this morning. I arrived at the store at 10:08 and called the pick-up number TWELVE times over the next fifteen minutes. I kept getting voicemail... like really? I'm going to leave a message to be called back while I'm waiting at the curb for my groceries? I finally gave up and went inside the store and I went to the Customer Service desk. Nice enough gal but really couldn't have cared less about anything. Perhaps it's a generational thing. She tried repeatedly to get someone to answer her walkie talkie and then seemed genuinely stunned that I was going to go home and cancel the order. Asked me twice about that. That I was really going to cancel the order and didn't want to just wait around for some indeterminate amount of time while some slug decided to finally bring me my groceries. As another reviewer wrote, wtf??? Another thing I was looking for when I went inside the store was flower bulbs. I headed towards the Garden Dept and expected to see the big cartons with bags of different bulbs. Didn't see much except a bunch of summer clearance. Made the mistake of asking a blue smocked person working there if they had any flower bulbs and she tried to send me to the hardware department. Oh, good god!!! She then asked a co-worker who looked at me like I was asking for some exotic species of something and had no idea what flower bulbs were even after I described them to her. One reason I choose to use the grocery pick-up option is so that I don't have to deal with the people that work at the store because they have next to no customer service skills and even less knowledge of much of anything that is sold in their store. While walking back out of the store I saw a man trying to flag down anyone that would help him get into the locked cases near the pharmacy. He exclaimed that he had been waiting a really long time. Boy did I feel for him. Walmart, get your act together!!! It's not good enough to have put all the mom and pop independent stores out of business and then jack all your prices up over time. You clearly aren't paying for big salaries. So stop being so greedy, train your people, and give them some benefits so they last longer than 15 minutes in your store. read more

Im all for hiring young adults. But my experience today warrants me asking Walmart to ensure they hire ones with better customer service skills . I was waiting for like 10 minutes to get batteries. The lady who helped me was nice but they had 1 out of 6 batteries that I needed. That's fine because there's too many batteries in the world and I assume Walmart can't carry all of them. But they keep the batteries in an employee only zone so I will never really know. I was waiting and a young employee helped the guy behind me get a pokemon card but ignored me. Wtf. Came by here a couple days ago since we drove by on our way to Bay Area and needed to get some fever reducer medicine for the kid. They completely ran out of all children's brands except for a unicorn and lion/tiger brand. So we bought the unicorn one and it worked fine! Wow! What a great store! First, I was so impressed with the size. Have not encountered a store this big since discovering the Mega Store in Redding - where I shop anytime I drive to Oregon. (Many San Jose Walmart's are a disappointment.) You walk in and instantly notice the store sparkles. Great displays. I had a party-of-one in Cosmetics...vast assortment of perfectly-priced drug store cosmetics. Well stocked shelves. Great bargains. Loved the huge Greeting Card Dept. Fab prices and selection. Picked up a few classics in Office Supplies. Found our very favorite Primal Salad Dressings... Young male employee, very nice, assisted with locating price on organic eggs. As true in any Walmart - tough to locate the size and preferred fabric in Hanes/Fruit of the Loom underpants. Huge selection, tho. And, The self check out was easier than I expected. This place feels like somewhere between 2.5 to 3-stars. They have decent prices and there's plenty of parking but... - Checkout lanes are always chaotic. - The bathrooms are downright scary - The store is *massive* which is cool if you know the layout but not if you're new to it. When I'm in the area I will try to stop by this Walmart. They have items that are not in my local Walmart. Workers here are nice and friendly even helpful. I went here today to buy ink for my printer. There ink selection is a lot bigger then I thought it would be for my espon printer, it was a lot cheaper than going to staples, office max, walgreens, target or best buy. While I was there I also bought a movie and storage bin cubes for my media shelf. I have been coming to this Walmart for years and they always have what I need. Great deals overall. On another note I've never had to deal with large crowds even before this covid-19 mess, employees here are friendly, always sanitizing and efficent. I'm not sure why this store has so many negative reviews...some people expect too much I guess. I recommend coming here, there prices are unbeatable. read more

Shopping at Walmart today and to my surprise they had no bags. It would have been nice if the door greeter had informed me on my way in. So now I'm in the parking lot bagging my groceries. Sorry Walmart, very disappointed. On the bright side they always have good prices and deals. Hopefully next they have bags or I can bring my own. Came in to Walmart to do my Thanksgiving shopping. Need to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. Found mostly everything I needed except for croutons and maraschino cherries. I guess everybody needed them too. Besides the Thanksgiving dinner items I needed, they had a good selection of Christmas sweaters. If you're going to that ugly Christmas party you surely can find something here.Walmart supercenter the place to come for all your back to school supply needs. They always have a good selection and prices on everything you need for school, recreation, going to the beach, and house goods. The supercenter also has a grocery department where you can get all your grocery needs. The only bummer about every Walmart is that they lock everything in glass cases, and when you need help getting something from the glass case it's difficult to find a sales person willing to walk over with and help you. I understand that they do this to prevent shoplifting but then those of those us who don't shoplift have to pay the price and be irritated when you can't get what you need. read more

This is one of the largest stores I have ever been to. It was almost like a mall in itself. This compared to "Jungle Jim's" in Cininnati. All that was missing was a miniature train! There was abundant staff helping patrons. The place even with all the patrons was very well organized. The floors were all clean. Shelves were all stocked. We wanted to buy Ian a fidget spinner to keep him occupied during the Bay Area trip. An associate went out of her way to help us with it. She even rang us up at the electronics area itself. They have an eye care center, ear care center, insurance, a small arcade, Nails, Money Gram and a McDonalds inside this Walmart. Wear your exercise shoes when you arrive at this Walmart and have a good workout walking this small city like store! read more
