I would like the record to show that the employees in the store have always been nice and courteous. This is the only reason this CVS gets two stars. The employees at the front are great. Regardless of what they are doing, they tend to greet every one who enters. The pharmacy is a nightmare. There is always a long line. Even as I write this, I've been waiting in the drive thru for 15 minutes and there are still 3 cars ahead of me. I came earlier to pick up and my prescription wasn't filled even an hour after the pick up time. So I am on the phone, 12 minutes waiting to speak with someone and no one has picked up. There is a line inside and outside. Such an inconvenience. This was the final straw for me. Horrible CS every time I come here! I've tried to overlook, but WHY do you have registers only for the cashiers to just stand there TALKING AND LAUGHING with each other, then give you a dirty up and down look bcuz you "interrupt them" if you ask a question??!! On May 29, 2020, via the drive through I dropped off my prescription at 11:30am. The person at the Pharmacy drive through window said my prescription will be ready in an hour, 12:30pm. I returned at 2:45pm to pick up my prescription and was told it was not ready and that I need to pull into lane #2 to wait for it. I refused to move into lane #2 because (1) no other cars were behind me and (2) the prescription should have been ready at 12:30pm. When I said I am not moving, the person at the window became rude and said I needed to move...I still did not move. I wish I could write no stars. Horrible horrible horrible service. ALWAYS messing up scripts. Just one example. I received a text that a medication was ready. I show up and it's not ready. They tell me to come back a few hours later. I didn't make it back that day and I showed up the next day and it was not ready so I had to wait another 20 minutes. My experience w/the staff has been great! Always helpful and keeping the shelves stocked so there is no clutter of boxes as you are trying to shop. Because they keep up w/stocking the items I am looking for seem to be there 90% of the time. read more

Oh CVS, why do you make it so hard for me to give you my money?? WHY!? Why even have more than two registers if you are not going to use them? If you do not want to hire more people, then put in some self-checkout kiosks or something. The whole point of going to a CVS (other than the pharmacy, of course) is to quickly grab something, i.e., get in and get out. That's kind of impossible if you've got 20 people waiting in line! Ugh, but this is not an issue to this location alone, however. This systemic issue plagues CVS. This CVS is YUGE, always well stocked, and generally does not have outrageous prices. But, they never have more than two cash registers opened at a time, so be prepared to wait. Unless you get lucky, your quick stop may not be so quick. All in all, if you're looking for a quick something, maybe go someone where else, but as CVSs go, this is one. read more

Just got back from your drive-thru to pick up some medicine. While she was as pleasant as can be, the person at the drive-thru window has a severe communication issue. I had to repeat all of the my information no less than 5 times and when she spoke to me I could not understand what she was saying. While I am all for giving folks of all nationalities an opportunity at employment, you don't put someone on a drive through window or front desk who can't speak or understand basic English. read more

I went here and asked how much my medication would be with my new insurance. She takes about 16 hours to figure it out then tells me the outrageous price. So I ask "really that's the price with my new insurance" and she says well your insurance doesn't cover it. Um ok why not say that first... then I say ok what about my other medication listed on my account. So again she takes 16 hours and gives me another outrageous price so I again say that's with my new insurance?! And she looks at the screen and says oh wait that one is still under the old insurance. Like seriously?? And Don't bother calling they literally don't answer or you will be on hold for minimum 30 min to 1 hour. If you don't believe me just call and see. read more

I'm sitting here at the parking lot writing this review and I hope cvs corporate sees this. The store is clean but does need a bit of restocking on those empty pegs. I was walking to the register and I couldn't tell if the young lady was working or not because she was on her cellphone so I asked if she's open. I walked over and I read a sign that says "no cash back" I asked her why and she says because they don't have enough money to give back. Okay cool. This pharmacy picked a great and convenient location to be. But to keep it simple and blunt, the actual store is great, but I gave 3 stars because the pharmacy is terrible. The store has been able to keep the same employees for awhile, and it's nice to still see the same cashier time and time again. They really know how to help a customer, and they are always very kind and constantly keep a smile on their faces. The pharmacy...no matter how many people they have working, it is so SLOW!!!! The lines inside the store and DRIVE THRU are terribly slow! And the pharmacy techs always seem like they hate their job. They look a hot mess & none of them have any smiles what so ever. Never fails every time I come to the pharmacy there is an issue, today I prepaid my prescriptions and the pharmacy wanted me to pay again cause it hadn't processed on their side, I should them the app and email showing it was paid and they still wanted me to pay again Saying it hadn't processed on their side, while In the drive-thru line having the pharmacist threaten to call the cops on me cause I refused to leave without my prescription that were already paid for, the pharmacist yelling all kinds of things through the closed window, I called customer service number on my email confirming my payment! Finally told them to cancel my prescription refund my money and I will be moving my family's and my prescription to another pharmacy not being CVS, this pharmacy staff at this location are trash very unprofessional and rude!! The CVS at 701 E. Main Street in Grand Prairie is Horrible! I would not even give them 1 star if i could. The Parking lot is always disgusting, garbage everywhere. The store smells like dirty diapers. The pharmacy is another story all in its own. I have had issues with them saying they filled a prescription, drive all the way over there and the prescriptions are not ready. You wait in line outside or in, then have to wait or come back. I am diabetic, so they upcharge us for Novolin R. They charge 300.00 for a box of 5 pens. The copay for one box of 5 is 38.00. Now I use 3 boxes a month. That is 120.00 before tax. If I get my prescriptions through E Scripts it is 34.00 for a month. Which is what it should be since they passed the cap law on insulin this year. So if i move to E scripts, my copays drop for a 90 day supply on all my medications. I am disabled and have waited 2 yrs for SSDI to be approved and I no longer can work, so the out of pocket expenses have made me find ways to save what i can as I take alot of prescriptions. So I call CVS and talk to the pharmacist about calling my prescriptions transfer in to E scripts, he got short, over talked me and got very beligerant over the phone. I hung up on him and called E scripts which in turn stated that he needed to call a number and have my insulin, one prescription transferred. He decided to go on for 15 minutes about how he follows the law, He is short 4 techs and only have 2, that he is busy and wouldn't do it. I have sat in line and listened to other CVS customers complain about how rude the pharmacy staff are. He definitely is setting a poor example to his coworkers and leaving the customers who need their medications at an affordable price to fend for themselves. If it was not insulin that i was in need of, i would just muddle through it, but why should i have to? I will never do business again with CVS after i get my medications transferred. I am tired of the way I am treated there. read more

I'm a Walgreens girl but CVS is slowly growing on me. This location is conveniently located and well stocked. The store never has more than 2 or 3 cashiers, which can cause lines to back up. They are very coupon friendly (for any potential or current couponers out there) and the employees are willing to work with customers to maximize their coupons. Check out is quick for the most part. This store is 24 hours, which is nice when you want to take advantage of their weekly ad at 11:40 on a Saturday night. There is a red box inside that prints coupons each week if you have a CVS card and a Red Box where you can rent movies outside. Overall, great CVS location with friendly employees that is open 24/7 and has an ATM inside for safe, quick access to money day and night. read more

I'm not huge on shopping at CVS or Walgreens, but this CVS location is very well taken care of. The staff always greets you when you walk in, and is helpful in providing positive customer service. The prices are typical of a small drugstore, but typically more expensive than large retailers (Walmart, Target). If i need something in a hurry and am in south Grand Prairie I will pop in here to get what I need. read more

Horrible, horrible customer service the lady with red hair, behind the register is Racist and thinks shes sassy. She tried make up her own coupons rules, had an other customer we didnt know, say said very bad customer service. She called the manager who agreed with on the purchase, but yet Red Head cashier still had diarrhea of the mouth. As we walked out. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Friendly and always asking if we need assistance however they ask everyone who walks through the sliding doors while there is a long line of customers waiting to get checked out. I like this location. It's always really clean, never too crowded and the pharmacy staff is friendly. It's a newer location so it doesn't have that dingy smell that older pharmacies have. I've picked up several prescriptions here in the past and the pharmacy staff is friendly but don't go out of their way for excellent customer service. The cashiers at the front of the store are usually very friendly and are very good about being professional and appearing to take their job seriously. There have been a few times where cashiers would engage in personal conversation during my transaction but they're always very courteous nonetheless. read more

Usually always get my prescription and my son's filled here. Recently they've been having slow service and they are not very knowledgeable. Just got off the phone with the pharmacist for a consultation and she did not know anything and she was laughing the whole time. She advised me to call my son's doctor without giving me any information. I was on hold for 10 minutes after being transferred to her, and they were no help. read more

Need a late night snack? Red box movie? This CVS is open 24 hours a day, and they have a drive through pharmacy, which I use exclusively for my prescriptions. Occasionally my receipt includes CASH bonuses.. Each "Extra Buck" you receive is literally a dollar in cash to use at the store. I agree, their check out lines can get long sometimes... but common sense dictates 5:30PM is probably not the best time to go there when everyone and their mother is passing by it on their way home from work.
