I was just in this store today Nov 5 at 4:30 pm with my 5 years old daughter who started of our trip to CVS with a needed for the restroom. Although I had shopping to do obviously the bathroom became our priority. I went to the pharmacy to ask for to be use the restroom because I could not find any other employees on the sales floor, a guy with bleach chunks in his hair rudely replied to me that their bathroom was not for the public. No apology no suggestion just attitude. I so desperately wanted explain to him that his attitude was not necessary but I didn't want to waste any time when I had a five-year-old desperate for the restroom. I had a prescription that need to be filled but I'll be taking it to target. The CVS near my house has s restroom available to the public. read more

Usually not a lot of people and is very clean. Usually can go in and out pretty quickly. Only one bad thing today. They are suppose to stay open until 9 PM (10 PM if you look at the hours on the internet) but their doors were closed and locked by 8:45 PM when me and another customer showed up. Disgusting pharmacy manager. Given a prescription by a doctor, called to find out if the item was in stock prior to driving 25 minutes to the location. The manager refused to answer if the item was in stock out of fear (her words) of robbery. Pure insanity! My wife and I have been on these meds for over a year, calling various CVS pharmacies to check inventory prior to driving aimlessly around the east bay for meds. Seems logical right? We weren't asking for opioids or anything "hard drug" like. In the past two years on this medication I had never spoken to such a miserable person. She was clearly scared and is in the wrong position at CVS. Her tone was spiteful and she simply didn't care. The manager asked that the doctor call for stock but that simply isn't how the medical community works. At the end of your visit with your doctor, they write a prescription and send you on your way. They don't sit there and source yours meds for you! I'm beyond upset at this location, the pharmacy manager and the time she took to defend the fact that her store policy was to not confirm inventory of a product. Zero empathy, spoke of fear of robbery and couldn't say yes or no if I should drive to have them fill my prescription. Upon hanging up, we called the store on Jackson and in 1 minute received confirmation the much needed item was in stock and went to pick it up. Again, this was a ridiculous experience. Please, if given the choice, use a different pharmacy that truly cares for their customers. All she had to do was ask for my wife's name to see that this was a reoccurring pick-up so she wouldn't have to worry about being "robbed" (again, her words). Rude, doesn't deserve your money and there are other pharmacies in Hayward that are happy to confirm inventory so you can get the medication you need. As a consumer, say no to Mission BLVD pharmacy! Lazy, rude, lack of empathy and clearly scared out of her mind of being robbed. CVS on Mission BLVD in Hayward will not get my money until that insane manager is no longer employed. read more

I normally don't rate chain stores, but I had such a good experience, I had to give this place a rating. This is a new location with a newly built building. All the staff here were friendly and helped me find all the items I needed. I never had to go searching myself. Plenty of items, fully stocked, and lots of cashiers to make the line move fast, unlike most pharmacies. read more

What impressed me most about this pharmacy was when I called about a new medication that was giving me headaches. The pharmacist I spoke to actually sounded knowledgeable about different medications, and he helped me choose one that did not give me bad side-effects. I wish I had gotten that gentleman's name, because he was great. Also, I appreciate that the pharmacy here can take care of Rx refills via text. Much easier that way. At first, the pharmacy gave me a different Rx than what I had requested, but I got that issue fixed. Also, at first, whoever entered my name into their system, completely mangled it. I mentioned it twice to two different people on different visits. At first, they only fixed my last name, and then two or three other folks ignored the misspelling. BUT finally, the third guy I spoke to, finally fixed my first name, too. I can forgive mistakes as long as somebody is willing to make amends. Also, I asked if they could move the auto refill date for one of my Rx to a later date, and the woman who was there at the time did that very quickly. I really need to get better at remembering people's names so I can give them the proper credit for being awesome. Also, aside from the pharmacy department, the folks who work in the rest of the store are cool, too, including the friendly cashiers at the front. read more

Recently moved into the area and have been here twice. The first time for some OTC meds and the second time for a last minute White Elephant gift for work. This CVS is big and has pretty much everything you may need in a pinch. Even milk/eggs/butter for those last minute cookies you needed to bake for your kiddo's class the next day, lol. A young woman who was restocking the shelves quickly and kindly asked me if I needed help finding anything when she saw I was looking for something. I told her and she told me the aisle where she thought I could find it and I did find it there. I happened to get the same young woman as my cashier on the way out (when it gets busy here - and it can - they quickly call for more cashiers) she remembered me and asked if I had found what I was looking for and chatted a bit with me. Something so small made my experience here quite enjoyable. I'm frankly amazed at how much they have in there and how well this place seems to be managed. Definitely glad I now live close to such a nice CVS. I will add that it can feel not as "safe" at night. Once I saw someone just walking around, not really going anywhere (to their car for example) just looking at everyone. But just be aware of your surroundings. Not sure if they have a security guard at night but if I saw one walking around the parking lot at night I'd sure feel safer going there at night. read more

Went to buy some stuff along with a bottle of water. Price on the shelf was clearly 1.99, but I was charged 2.19. Wasn't a big deal. But when I jokingly brought it up to their Cashier Alex, he got really defensive and rude. I said, "oh haha it's not 1.99? It said that on the shelf." He replied without even checking, "No, it doesn't say that on the shelf. It says 2.19." I walked back only to check and went on my way out. Didn't wanna waste my time. The staff are friendly and patient even when there's a long line, they remain professional and kind. The store is clean and organized and they have a great variety of food, snacks, and drinks. The only saving grace is the one young woman working behind the counter who was helpful once. Otherwise every single time I've been here they're either closed 40 minutes earlier than they're supposed to be or I get home and the item I bought was not actually in the package?? I rely on the information online and this time I even called before to make sure they'd still be open. I'm trying to keep my kids from having to come with me everywhere during my Covid and I have to wait till their dad gets home before I can run around in the evening. I really like the front store staff, there's this lady with short platinum blonde hair who has the best customer service but I don't see her anymore. She was always the friendliest out of the store employees but overall everyone working at CVS is pretty nice. The pharmacy however could use a bit more work with their customer service. I don't know what happened to the old pharmacy staff but this new lady whose very tall at the back with curly black hair isn't the best when it comes to getting pharmacy orders right or really taking accountability when they are wrong. As soon as I called corporate they got my order right and fixed the issue. It's a bit sad that this new staff is worse than the old one. read more

I pick up meds for my parents and dealing with this pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. This cvs location is very convenient for us and we switched from Walgreens a year or so ago. What a mistake! The new prescriptions are Never ready here! even if you go there 3 days after the doc sent it. They Never answer their phone. They make me come back multiple times. The older female employees there are very rude. The older female pharmacist and the older female staff with short hair act like they are giving out meds for free, for charity, as if they are not a place of business. It's so incredible! The woman pharmacist withheld my dad's medication because the doc did not include some (trivial) note! my dad was just discharged from a hospital and he really needed the meds. That was the last straw. I also want to mention this older staff, thin and short haired. She is something else, always with bad attitude, lies through her teeth, and just a horrible human being to deal with! Even though it's inconvenient for us, we decided to switch back to Walgreens. read more

This cvs is clean inside and fairly empty. Anytime I've come in I was always able to get everything I needed. Now price wise a lot of the things in here you can find much cheaper somewhere else. However, the perks of shopping here are being able to coupon as well as using your cvs rewards card. You will be able to find deals if you know what you're doing. This place is pretty conveniently located as well as has a lot of parking. If you're in a bind and need over the counter medications, socks, snacks, cameras, some mascara, you will be able to find all those things here. The Staff are courteous and willing to help. I like that they aren't weird and Hovering despite it being such a dead store. It's very relaxed and a nice mini-shop experience. read more

Usually when I come to this store all employees are nice except this one girl at the register. There was a SALE SIGN that says 11.99 for allergy medicine but rang up for 17 bucks, didn't even bother to check the sign, even though I asked her, she responded back its not on sale do you want it or not with an attitude. I even mention they should take down the sign if it's not on sale but she ignored me and said nothing. I also had to remind her if she took off the allergy medicine off my receipt since I didn't want it anymore. Then didn't offer me a bag, when I bought a lot of items and while she was ringing up, some of my stuff kept falling on the floor.
