I've lived in the Rochester area for nearly a decade now and this is my first time in to Lytle Pharmacy! I have frequented downtown Rochester OFTEN, but always find Lytle to be closed! So please be forewarned that this place definitely keeps weird hours! But finally, I was walking past it one day and had to do a double take because I found it to be open and I eagerly went in! I love that this place actually does contain a pharmacy in the back of the store! It's located right on the corner of Main and Fourth, so it's truly in such prime location and essentially is the heart of downtown Rochester! Hence why it's additionally so mystifying to me that they're never open on evenings and weekends it seems or during any special events that happen frequently in the downtown area. But nonetheless, Lytle is super cute! It's filled to the brim with all kinds of unique tchotchkes and other unique offerings for all kinds of people in your life -- kids, gardeners, those who love hosting and entertaining, etc. The goodies they have aren't super high end, but what they lack in quality they make up for in uniqueness, as there are a lot of things here that I have never seen carried anywhere else. It's definitely a cute store and on the more affordable end for anyone looking to go somewhere for gifting inspiration. I just hope you can catch them while they are open! read more

They refused to fill my 3 month script claiming they were losing money on it, but were willing to fill a 1 month script. the facts: 1 month script insurance is paying them $206 3 month script insurance is paying them $1233 So no way they lose money on 3 months fill. Don't know what their scam is but don't shop here. I'm also going to see which State and Federal Medicare regulator I can report them to. read more

They are awesome! I transferred my prescriptions here when I was able to when my insurance changed. They are always very helpful in assisting with getting refills or answering any questions I may have. They also have THE BEST greeting cards and gift department, so check them out while you wait! We were shopping downtown Rochester and entered the pharmacy at 2:53 pm. We were promptly greeted by an employee who stated "We will be closing in 5 minutes" Why not just lock the doo? It was the most uncomfortable greeting we could have received! Left without purchasing anything, if that is what they wanted to achieve they were successful! read more

Waited for over 10 minutes to pick up a prescription only to be "overlooked"/ IGNORED by EMPLOYEE. Two more people had just walked in were waited on instead. Pass out WAIT NUMBERS so LONG TIME customers don't have to walk out out of your pharmacy frustrated by your "blindness". I refuse to stand in line BEHIND customers who arrived 10 minutes AFTER I did. read more

If I could choose zero stars I would have. After many years of coming here I stopped in to pick up a prescription. An online search showed they were open until 7 and I arrived at 5:50 to find the front door locked with "Closed" sign. I needed this med for an early am test the following morning so I raced to the back door praying it was not locked early like the front. I must have made it with seconds to spare (still before 6 at this point) and then was greeted rudely by two young men behind the pharmacy counter. I told them that 7pm closing time was shown online. They looked it up on their computer and barked "Nope it says 6 right here". No it does not say that on the Apple Maps app. Bob Lytle used to treat customers respectfully and certainly understood how to behave with compassion when an illness or medical issue brought us in. The new operators need lessons in basic manners, business and the legacy they are so painfully discarding. read more

Wow. I just checked online to verify Lytle's opening time at 9am. And then I see the "recent (or not-so-recent) reviews". Hey, customers, you posted your reviews, as I am now. Mr. Lytle and his staff have been my champions for 25 years. I have a permanent feeding tube and, one day, while waiting for an Rx, I asked Mr. Lytle about tube syringes. He ordered them, and has kept a supply on hand for me (and others) all of this time. And after losing my car three years back, I asked the TWO places I could walk to if I ran out of syringes in an emergency if they carried them or would stock them: Crittenton Medical Supply & Ascension/Crittenton Hospital's Pharmacy. "No. We don't carry those." Therein lies my point... Lytle didn't either, but took me into consideration and stocked them. I'm so grateful. And they always know my name! read more

Very friendly and helpful staff. The Pharmacists are very knowledgeable and able to answer questions. You just can't find this type of small town - run your prescription out to the car so you don't have to come in when the baby is sleeping - kind of service anywhere. They also have a very nice selection of greeting cards and special gifts. read more

Terrible Customer Service. The owner was extremely rude. The prescription was called in 4 days before I stopped to get it and it wasn't done. My husband had to come back the next day and get and it still wasn't done. I will never support this local business ever again! read more

Super rude! I used them to fill a compound. I call them on a Tuesday to get a refill, the lady stated I had run out of refills they would call the office. Come Thursday I show up to pick up my prescription the lady said the doctor never call them back and walked away. Seriously they could care less about their clients. Avoid them! read more

Awesome pharmacy! I am between health insurance and I have a expensive monthly prescription. I shopped around calling Costco, Target, Walmart, CVS and Rite aid. I called Lytle Pharmacy but didn't think they would be able to be competitive. I was completely shocked. They beat the lowest price of all of the big box brands by $30. Also, they filled it within 5 minutes of giving them the prescription. I have never had such awesome service in a pharmacy. Highly recommend! read more
