CVS Pharmacy doesn't deserve any stars! I hate giving bad reviews, but CVS company really needs to do something about their customer service! I'm sorry for saying this, but I'm not really sorry. EVERYONE IN THE PHARMACY are RUDE!!! They always seemed annoyed when you're picking up prescriptions or calling them for questions. They always in a hurry and if you're not quick enough, they will hang up on you!! I get it, they're busy. But all pharmacies are busy, but they're not rude!!! They have a line or something, but can't they be polite? Ask the customer if there's anything that they can help you with? Or at least speak nicely, NOT like they're ANNOYED because you ask more than 2 questions! It seems like they don't want to talk to anyone more than 30 seconds and it will take you at least 5 minutes to get a live person if you're lucky! That's why I don't go to CVS. Too bad one of my clients have them for her prescriptions. Even the CVS on Chimney Rock/I-10 staff are the same. read more

To paraphrase Gertrude's "Sacred Emily," a CVS is a CVS is a CVS. All much the same no matter where you go. They hold to the standard of big box cookie cutter marketing. The CVS stems from the pre-1996 "Consumer Value Stores" name and it is now only second to Walgreens in size for pharmacy chains. This particular store, like all of the others is neatly laid out, orderly and of course offers far more than drug or pharmacy type items. I can only guess but would believe their higher profits are in the many convenience items they sell such as soda pops, candies and the like. The only problem I have with CVS and seemingly this one in particular is always being bothered with being asked if I have one of their silly ass customer cards, which to me is such an annoyance and worse, contributes to longer waits in their lines as someone invariably ends up have to search through their purse or key chains for their CVS customer card. read more

After moving to Houston, I looked for a CVS location (preferably drive-through), but most of the locations have two stars or three stars, and reviews were not helpful. I needed the refill and decided to visit this location in the morning, hoping fewer people will be inside the store. The store is clean, but due to the limited space store is filled with the essential inventory. I went to the pharmacy and met Victoria, who politely responded to all my questions and concerns. She totally represents this location so warmly that I decided to give this location 5 stars. Each of us represents wherever we are and no matter its work or any area of our life. I asked her why this location has fewer stars on Yelp, and she only smiled and said we are doing our best during this chaotic time. That time I thought when we ask for patience and respect from others, we keep forgetting it's a two-way street. Thank you, Victoria, for being thoughtful and understanding. This is my neighborhood CVS and it is open 24 hours. Now, my opinion: To tell you the truth, I think CVS is definitely more expensive than Walgreens. So, unless I don't want to drive the mile to Walgreens, I use this CVS. The other day I went to buy conditioner and it cost $12. A few days later I went to Walgreen's at it was $8!! That's a four dollar difference! N e ways. Other than the prices, I think they are pretty much equal in the products they carry. Not only do you have to have someone get condoms out of a glass case for you, they have to escort you to the front of the store with them. Treating people who want to practice safe sex like criminals is the most asinine policy I can imagine. When the manager asked how I was doing I told him I was doing well, other than having my privacy invaded and being treated like a criminal. What kind of question is that to ask someone who's buying condoms anyway? Did he want details? Creep. He wasn't even apologetic, and instead made me feel like a jerk. He said they had to do it because people steal the condoms. And he said it with an accusatory and defensive tone. What, people don't steal anything else? And all the security cameras they have are just for show? Probably he was just bitter because he isn't getting any. Go anywhere but here. I hope this place burns to the ground. You know what? So, I frequent this CVS because I live around the corner. Well, I will now be frequenting another drugstore because this location is the absolute worst. It's easy enough to run in and grab something, but I always regret my choice when I'm standing in a long line with only one cashier. Of all the times I've been here, there is always only one cashier. One time, after I had been waiting in a particularly long line - past the 'fresh & healthy selections' a second person came out to assist which was awesome because by that point the line had slowed down... My biggest complaint about this location is the pharmacy. Every single interaction with the staff is painful... Just now I called to transfer a prescription that was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I tried calling the other day but was on hold for over 5 minutes. Today I call determined to get it done (because I'm down to my last pill) and I was on hold for 10 minutes. Then someone picked up and hung up on me. I call back, wait 2 more minutes and finally a person. I said hey, I don't know what happened but I was on hold for 10 minutes and then got hung up on. Her response "what is your date of birth". No, oh I'm sorry it was an accident or sorry for the inconvenience... From now on I'll be driving the extra 5 minutes to go to Target... read more

Anyways, in the morning sometimes the lines are long with only one register open, especially when you have people who think its Walmart, and hog the line with their coupons arguing about every price the cashier scans. Came here to purchase two notebook planners and a dry eraser board. Store was very clean, as always very few employees around but the employees that are around are very respectful and ask questions. They engage with the customers and make the experience worth it. The store was also well organized not like a few I've visited before. I guess it all depends on the area you in but keep up the good job at this location. Will definitely be coming back home hen I need more stuff for work and for home. read more

Incompetent. Oh my gosh... they just sat there talking when I needed my prescription. They made me wait for absolutely no reason. They couldn't use a computer at ALL. I left without my prescription. He literally sat there staring at me. And I was like "are you going to give me my prescription" and he's like "it's not ready" when though I got a text and call. I left empty handed. I have nothing against CVS, and this one is nearest to my house, but every time I go, it's a nightmare! Whether I'm trying to pick up something quickly or get my medication from the pharmacy, I can expect to wait around for 20+ minutes. Most of the employees work as slowly and inefficiently as possible. Today I went in for one item, and when I went to the checkout there were about 5 people in front of me, and only one person at the register. This person stopped checking people out in order to open each register to look for money or something. When his coworker walked up and saw what he was doing, the coworker had to tell him that what he was doing was wrong. Then the original cashier guy started throwing attitude at his coworker, meanwhile the line had gotten up to about 10 people and about 15 minutes had passed, with only one person having been checked out. This is just one instance of the inefficiency and lack of concern for the customer's time that I have witnessed over the past several months. At this point, I'm about ready to drive further and go out of my way to avoid this place, even though it is right outside my neighborhood. read more

I'd been dreading getting my passport photo done, thinking it would take forever but the girl who took my picture had me in and out in less than 10 minutes! She was nice, professional and efficient. After calling three pharmacies who either got their camera stolen for photos, didn't have the service bc it was "down" or didn't do passport pictures at all, I'm thankful I found this location! read more

Typical CVS.... Wasn't dirty or anything... But my problem was with the cashier. He very obviously had a bad head cold or at least severe congestion. He was sniffing and snorting and wiping his nose with his bare hand constantly while ringing out both myself and my friend. It was really gross... I wanted to disinfect my items before I took them out of their bag. Plus, I tried to hand him my CVS card but he just scanned a little key chain card he had tucked under his computer. I asked him if the purchase went onto my card and he just nodded and tried to hand me back my bag with his shiny hand. So gross. read more

The night manager Sheldon is very rude. I have had good experiences with the pharmacy staff and the cashiers, but he has caused me to not turn to this location. There is a CVS pharmacy in the Target on San Felipe and another CVS just down the way on Westheimer use those. Being short and abrupt to customers is not how a manager should act. read more

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. RUDEST, most uninterested staff. This is why I always shop at Walgreens. NEVER again, CVS. Also, they were apparently robbed since half a pack of wine was missing. They didn't care. Acted like it happens all the time. So if you don't mind shopping among crooks, shop here. This CVS is cool because it's open 24hrs, but I swear, there is literally always a 5-10 minute line to check out. Every once in a while, a second employee will mosey up to the counter to help, usually after a massive line has formed. The employees are all nice, look you in the eye, seem to be happy to make small talk, and smile... but there is seriously something wrong with a ten minute line at a "convenience" store. read more

Glen the manager however is very rude and not knowledgeable about anything ranging from money orders to items that are on sale.
