They really should just shut down. The employees are rude and the bathroom has been "not working right now" for at least 2 years. Stopped by to grab a snack and use the bathroom and I shoulda just went in the middle of the store since they wanna be so nasty and rude. Obviously put my items back and left. I couldn't agree more with Fox E. This CVS store at the corner of Richmond and Sage is not the most desirable place to shop. Considered its location near The Galleria, which should be influential but it's the opposite. I frequent here after my gym workout at 24 Hour Fitness across the street. OMG. One time I was here at midnight but the door was closed shut. I asked a security guard at the door, "why closed? Isn't this 24/7?" Oh wait, he was not the security guard. "I don't know..." and he walked away. Yesterday, I came here to get some shampoo because I desperately needed it. There was a homeless woman hovering at the shampoo aisle not sure for how long. I waited about 10 minutes for her to finish "sampling" the fragrance. Finally, I rushed in to grab what I wanted and she mumbled something then rushed out of my way. I sent a Medalia survey to suggest CVS should put the same brand of products in one section. Men's Dove shampoos are on opposite end of the aisle which should be below the regular ones. I searched all over the places. It was hard to locate it because of illogical placement. After I left the store, I rubbed my hands with hand sanitizer profusely. Not to be confused with CBS (a record label and TV station), PBS (a less corporate version), and PMS (don't ask). This is a pretty sad CVS store which is in the Galleria area, and the sad part comes from the fact that it just seems like the people working here don't want to be here - and I can understand that. But customer service is particularly iffy here, especially in terms of Pharmacy wait times. I definitely think they could do a much better job. Nevertheless, at least it's here, but it's one of my least favourite locations that I've found. read more

*Not a 24hr pharmacy* Took about 15-20 minutes in the drive-thru pharmacy to pick up my prescription. I push the help button and then heard some inaudible message about how I was going to be helped soon. I had to peek my head out of my car and take a look inside to confirm what I thought I heard. When I was finally helped, I was told they couldn't find my prescription, so I had to show them a printed out copy to confirm - thank goodness my doctor thought to print it off for me. They eventually found it, but it's definitely not ideal to wait that long in a car in the Houston summertime. read more

I get that you're a busy CVS smack dab by the Galleria, but holy hell do your pharmacy technicians have to be so flippin' rude?! For one of my prescriptions, I had been opting for the brand version for several months (6 or 7 months) because it was more expensive than the generic. Lord knows why, $50 generic versus $20 brand. Upon picking up my prescription, I noticed the generic had been filled so I politely let the flipping rude pharmacy tech lady that I actually wanted brand. It was quite busy so perhaps she felt frazzled, but she tore into me. "Well how was I 'sposed to know?! You ain't tell me that when you dropped off the prescription! I can't read your mind, you know?!" Whoah. I maintained my cool and inquired, "Do you have the brand version in stock?" "I gotta check on that now?! I don't know . . . I mean no, we don't. You should have said something when you dropped off the prescription. So no, we don't." Okay, I paid and left. However, worth nothing that I had previously witnesses this pharmacy tech copping some major attitude with other customers. Some of the incidents, I could empathize as customers do get twitchy about their drugs, in which case if you can't handle irritated frantic and sick people yearning for their medication, perhaps you shouldn't be a pharmacy technician? Two stars instead of one because everyone else in the pharmacy department has always been professional and patient. But what's that about bad apples? So yeah, ended up transferring my prescriptions to another CVS. The end. read more

Comedian Dave Attell has a bit about kiosk stores at the airport that sell luggage - "How late do you need to be running? Grab a pile of stuff, we'll get a bag at the airport!" and it is hilarious. This CVS serves as my "grab a pile of stuff and find a bag for it later" on the way to the airport when I am running late and know I am staying in a cheap hotel that won't give me a free toothpaste and throwaway razor. Seeing as I am usually running late and in a rush the deducted stars come from the crowds, identified by Tara A.'s review, as well as how it seems there is never anything I specifically want, just plan B and at other times plan C on toothpaste brands or candy. How do you sell out of Mike & Ike's and not immediately have them replaced? This is the face of angry candy consumer who is using a third-rate toothpaste brand. read more

I've been to this location 80,000 times. Yes, I counted. It's close to where I live, and it's super convenient. Out of deoderant and need some at 3am? Bam. Need milk for breakfast before going to work? Bam. Need ice cream when you're up too late on a Sunday and should be sleeping? Bam. Staff isn't the friendliest, and the 'customer service' aspect isn't that strong. Lots of parking, it's well lit, and has a Redbox. There's not much wrong with this place. Truth is, when I'm at any other CVS, I feel like I'm cheating. read more

The best thing about this location is that it's close. The addition of selling alcohol has come in handy once or twice for needing a quick bottle of wine for a gathering. The pharmacy is almost always crowded, but they are good about following up on prescriptions. Unfortunately, the pharmacy is very slow and prescriptions are often done hours after they are promised. I have been to this pharmacy for a few years. This is my favorite pharmacy, close to where I live, they also opens 10am-9pm, even opens on weekends, really works well and convenient for me. The staff at Pharmacy were so nice and kind, they work diligently, I was never disappointed. I like Pharmacist Lim, she is so compassionate, so helpful. DO NOT use this CVS if you need a prescription. You will typically wait in a thirty minute line in store or in the drive thru before anyone even bothers to help you, and that's even when they aren't busy. The people here usually have a horrible attitude even when you are polite. I'm literally watching this woman text on her cell phone in the middle of the pharmacy. PHARMACY IS RUDE... my friend is literally here with her face swollen after surgery when they told her to pick it up in 15 we waited 20 now they are like well you can hold on. There is no line so why are we holding on for something they said was filled. Maybe because they rarely care if you come to the store they eager just stay on the phones all the time.... they will make you wait if you go in. Go through the drive through. Asadullah is so unprofessional and rude. I don't know how this cvs allow this to happen. He looked at my coupon without even scan it and said "only one per purchase". Cvs policy allow one coupon per product and purchase means the purchase of one item. He called the supervisor and the supervisor scanned all the coupons and guess what, all the coupons went through. I told the manager he was very rude and unhelpful, but he was on his side and made seem I was wrong. This CVS falls into the "very average" spectrum of drug stores. It's not overly nice, but never dirty. They tried to do some renovations such as a small refrigerated snacks section next to the check out lines, which is typically under stocked since week 2 of its existence. But the beer is always cold, and they do sell everything the typical corner store should have (cosmetics, hygiene products, cards, etc). The staff is pleasant and they are conveniently located for me. The pharmacy isn't the most efficient, but they get the job done. read more

This CVS is one of the nicest ones I've been to. It has recently been renovated and now has lots of upgrades that other CVS's don't have. For example, it has a "market" area with fruits, yogurt, hummus, etc. I was also surprised to see that they sell high end brands like Peter Thomas Roth, Philosophy, and Dermalogica. This is my go-to neighborhood store since I live right around the corner. I am there literally every other day for something or other. Each time the employees greet me and ask if I need help. The lines can get pretty long, but they always call for backup assistance which helps moves things along. I also get my prescription there, and always have a pleasant experience. Also make sure and sign up for Extra Care rewards, they really pay off! Especially when you visit as much as I do. read more

Went to the minute clinic for the first time today as I just moved here. Upon entering the clinic I was asked to provide my insurance card, which I fumbled to find ( totally my bad ) but I could tell the doctor seemed annoyed. She asked if she could take another patient while I tried to find it. Sure fine. I found my card and went back in. I immediately noticed that she was being very short with me, I told her about my symptoms and how I had been told it was allergies but hadn't gotten better. She immediately replied I should have gone to an allergist, and that I had let it progress too long. I also told her I had recently worsened to a stuffy nose. She rudely responded I should be more specific..... I also made the mistake of trying to talk to her while she took my blood pressure, to which she held a finger to my face and told me to hold on a second. Turns out my insurance was expired which I didn't realize, and she got annoyed with that as well. Overall just an embarrassing experience on my part but it was exacerbated by how unkind this doctor was. She told me she could set up an appointment for me after lunch, but I was so embarrassed my the situation and how she treated me, I had no interest in going back. I've never experienced a doctor so unkind in my life. I guess she was ready for lunch and my presence was annoying. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. read more

This CVS location was convenient for me because I lived really close by. I got my prescription filled there and I've never had any problems with the Pharmacists. The cashiers are friendly, but it does get pretty busy during check-out and an extra cashier is always called for back-up assistance. They keep on going more and more downhill. They are often out of items for extended periods of time. They never have any cashiers, so be prepared to wait in line for a while. The pharmacy is the worst part, ironically. I had set up an auto-refill on my prescription with one of the pharmacy techs my last trip in. When it was time for a refill, I called to make sure it was ready. Nope! Hadn't even been refilled. Why? Because it was not set on auto-refill. The tech I spoke with the previous time asked me the question, which means he was probably looking at it on the computer. He asked me the question, but did not apply auto-refill. So, I called to have it refilled. They said it would be an hour. I have text alerts to let me know when my prescription is ready. After 2 hours, and no texts, I went up there. I sat in line for 20 minutes (this will be your fate, too, if you choose to go through the drive-thru). It's supposed to be convenient, but actually going into the store is 'more' convenient (neither is convenient). So, I ask for my prescription. The lady tells me it is not ready, and that I can come wait inside for a while until it is. Keep in mind this was supposed to be refilled automatically, AND when it wasn't, the lady told me an hour. At this point, it had been almost 2 and a half hours. I opted not to wait. I called this morning to check on the refill. STILL NOT FILLED! I received a text in the middle of the afternoon today that it had been filled! So, was supposed to be filled automatically. Wasn't. Was supposed to be ready in an hour. Wasn't. It took them a whole 'nother day to refill my prescription. And this is for Zoloft, a common prescription all pharmacies have on hand, and one that is pretty damn important for the person who needs it. I am DONE with this store. It's gone from pretty bad to an absolute piece of shit. Yelp needs to do something about the rating system. ZERO stars should be an option. If it was an option, best believe I would give this CVS zero stars. It's not worth one star. read more

I got to loving CVS because of this Richmond location - everyone here is pretty helpful, but I'm writing this review especially for the pharmacy. They are the fast/nicest among the I-10/Chimney Rock, Westheimer/610, 59/Kirby, and the god-awful Washington/TC Jester locations. The ladies at the pharmacy (techs and pharmacist included are always smiling, no matter how busy they are). I jumped around a lot of CVS' because I've lived all over the Galleria/Rice Military/Greenway/Rice Village area but Richmond is still hands down the best. Today, they really made my day after the treatment I received at the Washington/TC Jester (see review for that location). Thank you Nigerian friend (didn't catch her name) for taking the time to assist, and of course with a smile. The ONLY reason I did not go to Richmond today fill my prescription today was ONLY because of the 610 traffic from West 18th. I'll never do that again. I can't remember the pharmacy techs name, but she was working the evening of 7/14/16. I had an issue with filling one of my medications, but she went above and beyond to make it happen. She told me all the options she could try and make it work and the next morning it was filled at 8am. read more
