PHOTOS: Don't make the mistake I did a print a stack of photos here. The photos printed on the most flimsy, cheapest photo paper (if you can even call it photo paper) that I've ever seen. The coloring was off, the quality was poor (and it wasn't my photo quality- I took it on the DSLR!) A sad goodbye to CVS Pharmacy. For y-e-a-r-s I have enjoyed fast, courteous CVS Pharmacy service in more than one state; but, with the CVS on 9405 W Russell Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89148 that relationship failed. The prescription instructions that were given to me by my PCP AND were written on the front label of the pill container were "Take 1 capsule by mouth three times a day for 10 days." As I neared day 7, I noticed that the medication was almost gone. THEN I noticed the sidebar: "QTY. 21 - Refill: 0." It was a 7-day, not 10-day supply. Was I overcharged? I contacted CVS by email - immediately received a response from corporate that the matter would be forwarded to their local store to be addressed. Very soon the Pharmacy Director called - made an apology; assured that the cost was only for 21 capsules and acknowledged that CVS should have contacted the PCP before dispensing the medication. Asked if anything could be done. I couldn't think of actions on their part that would change what was. A mistake when buying soda or chips etc. is "forgivable" BUT Medication? Absolutely horrible experience. My spouse and I went in to get prescriptions and were treated horribly by the pharmacist, Mai, and a pharmacy technician, William. When Mai couldn't find me in the system and then couldn't convince me that I'd never been there before, she walked away and started doing something else. Then, my spouse, a recently retired officer, was rudely told the other prescription was not there, because they lacked the amount available. They cited their behavior due to too many customers. There were only 3 other people there at the time. They treated another lady before us terribly as well. Both individuals need some extra training or find other jobs. This review is specifically for the pharmacy....I've been coming here for years to pick up my prescriptions and have never had any issues. This location provides the convenience of a drive up window or you can go inside the store. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes in line either. The staff is always so friendly. Whether I call on the phone for refills or go into the store they are always so helpful with insurance issues or consultations. This location also has a wide selection of over-the-counter medications. The shelves are always fully stocked and they are always having sales on selected medicines. CVS also provides their own generic version of most medications if you are in a budget or simply don't want to pay a higher prices for the same product with a name brand on it. This location is also super organized, clean and fully stocked. I've been using CVS forever and the last location I used was always out if my monthly prescription. I always appreciate consistency and knowledgeable staff especially when dealing with my health! read more

Everyone who works here is very nice. I usually love this pharmacy. But during the pandemic it's gotten really slow. Maybe they just need more employees? I would say my feedback is for the pharmacy drive-through is don't put the pick up anymore in the same lane as the Covid test, people are forced then to come in and that will cause the virus to spread more especially during Omicron. Also the Covid lines like an hour wait sometimes so if you put a prescription refill for pick up in the same lane as the Covid test it really backs people up. That's my only suggestion I really do like this pharmacy and the people hear otherwise. Also your phone system is not working every time I ask for the pharmacy it hangs up on me on the phone. read more

This CVS was great when Sarah was the head pharmacist and now that she's gone, this is the worst pharmacy in Las Vegas. The pharm techs are all nice, but the new main pharmacist Bang Le, is a terrible human being and should be fired. When I was dropping off my prescription in December, Bang Le told me that everyone at his location needs to cut their opioid prescriptions in half starting in January or to find another pharmacy if they don't want their prescription changed. I told him that my pain level is at an 8 and some days I am unable to get out of bed or I am unable to sleep for 2 to 3 days because of the pain in my neck and shoulders are so bad and that there is no way that I can cut my medication in half as other doctors have already reduced my medication 4 times over the past 3 years. Bang Le continued to argue with me and told me that I should be taking NSAIDs and if he was my doctor he would know that NSAIDs gives me gastrointestinal problems after taking it for several days in a row then he told me "GO FIND ANOTHER PHARMACY" in a condescending manner. I told him that he isn't my doctor and told him all of the failed surgeries that I have had that hasn't fixed my pain and that I wished that I could survive taking less, but I just can't because my pain is unbearable and that my doctor knows what's best for me and not him and he flipped out. CVS should not employ someone who is clearly trying to look good to the regional manager and the corporate office by making chronic pain patients suffer by reducing the number of opioid prescriptions that are processed by this location. Bang Le is the worst pharmacist that I have ever encountered in my life. Bang Le is not only rude and will argue with you in public while other workers and customers are around, he doesn't care about people. Bang Le doesn't have chronic pain and cannot sympathize with disabled people that need pain medication to get out of bed and have somewhat of a normal life. I cannot do many things because of my chronic pain and individuals such as Bang Le just makes my life that much harder to deal with. I encourage anyone else who had to deal with Bang Le to post complaints here and everywhere else you can. AND PLEASE FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NEVADA PHARMACISTS BOARD IF HE THINKS THAT HE IS A DOCTOR AND FORCING YOU TO FIND ANOTHER PHARMACY BECAUSE HE IS FORCING YOU TO CHOOSE BETWEEN GETTING YOUR PRESCRIPTION CUT OR TO LOOK ANOTHER PHARMACY TO TAKE YOUR PRESCRIPTION. read more

This review is strictly for the pharmacy Having been an employee for this company and traveling from pharmacy to pharmacy to help train, clean, and assist pharmacies in CVS, this location is a good one. They get 5stars from me not only as a previous employee of the CVS company, but more so as customer... And no, I never worked at this CVS location at all. 1. Drive thru - wait time, hardly any! Speedy service, quick and friendly, and easy breezy. There's hardly ever a line of cars to wait behind and even if there is a car or two, the service is quick as the drive thru should be... You just drive thru 2. Customer service - I've never had an issue with any of the techs at this location as a customer. All willing to listen and help you out and pleasant. Sara the Pharmacy Manager is an awesome and speedy pharmacist. She knows what she's doing 3. They call their patients when an issue or concern arises - if a medication doesn't cover by insurance or if the co-pay is sorta high, there is no hesitation to call the patient. I've gotten calls from them before about issues and we decide together the plan of action. I never feel outta the loop with what's going on with my meds and they keep me informed 4. Waiting - there hardly is none because I had an issue with a different CVS and had to bring my Rx here last minute like 30mins before closing, I dropped thru drive thru and they just said for me to wait on the side and they will wave at me when ready so I don't have to come inside since I wasn't feeling well. I waited no more than 5mins. 5. No mishaps or issues - other pharmacies always something, but here it's easy breezy so thank you to Sara and the staff in the pharmacy to making picking up medication an easy experience And a special s/o to Dawn the tech for getting my antibiotic ready last minute and so quickly! I rarely review large chains unless I receive really good service or really bad service. In this case, the review is really good. I came here to restock on my makeup and I was having trouble finding my brand. The store associate overheard me say "I can't find Almay!" (to my friend), and came running over to point out that they had tucked it away in another spot. Additionally, the shade I needed in another makeup was out, and they took the time to sort through their stock and find one that hadn't made it to the shelf. CVS is fairly close to my house. I like to stop here and get birthday cards, etc anytime I'm in a rush. Anyhow, there's a reason why I always get my prescription filled at Walgreens and not CVS. My fiancé is sick so I decided to get some meds for him. I went up to the pharmacist to ask what would she recommend and she was just rude. I felt that she was annoyed that I was even there asking her a question. I just wanted to know if she recommends anything else for his sore throat/coughing. I love this CVS. I stay right by it. Pros: Clean and neat aisles. Very eye pleasing how they have the store organized. The employees are always pleasant and helpful. I get a friendly greeting and asked if I need anything by every employee. You never see them bored or just not doing anything. After USPS lost my prescription I called my Dr to pls call it into CVS again, which they did right away. After that I spoke to the pharmacy assistant at this location who told me that since it got lost my insurance wouldn't cover it again, to which I replied that's fine, I'll just pay for it. Perfect she said, and it'll be ready in an hour. 24 hours later, I called again and this time a young man with a major attitude tells me, well we didn't fill it because your insurance rejected it and they don't wanna pay for it again. I explained to him that I've already had this conversation the prior day, and that I'm willing to pay for it. Had to return a closed and unused item that I bought a couple of weeks ago, but then didn't need. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the receipt. This isn't my local CVS branch, but I had the item with me and had just come from the dentist next door. The clerk spent a long time trying to find the price on a handheld scanner. I paid 14.99 plus tax (full price), but she said she could only give me 7.50 back. Why? "Because we always have sales or buy one, get one free, so I have no idea what you paid. I was furious: yes, they always have sales, but this was an OTC feminine medication product, and it is NEVER on sale, and NEVER BOGO. I asked her if I'd have the same result if I went to another CVS, and she said it would happen at any branch. After fuming for a moment, I decided to take the 7.50 (plus tax), but then got my revenge. I needed to buy three items. The first was a small bottle of Betadine, and I was shocked to see their price was 19.99, and the CVS generic equivalent was a mere dollar less. Since a Walmart was on my way home, I stopped there, and found the generic Walmart betadine in the same size for 6.99. At checkout my total bill, which included the betadine, the other two items I would have gotten at CVS, plus a few other little things, totaled less than the 18.99 CVS would have ripped me off for that single bottle. Take that, CVS, and find a better way of dealing with returns. read more

Unfortunately we have been with this pharmacy for awhile but only because of location and insurance doesn't cover Walgreens. They have been pretty bad this whole time and only getting worse. Spent the last two days on hold for more than 25 minutes each time I called which was no less than 4 times to ask someone to please fill the script that I dropped off last week that wasn't quite ready for refill date wise. Being close to my office, and conveniently located on the corner, I often come here to grab things in a hurry. Sometimes I drop off and pick up prescriptions here, sometimes I grab a quick gift or drinks when on a way to a friends house. Sometimes I just want a snack to eat without subjecting myself to the long lines at Walmart down the street! In the past few years I've been coming here, sometimes the prescriptions seem to take a long time to fill or don't get filled in their promised times. However, they do seem to be improving! My most memorable experience was coming in without an appointment to get a flu shot. I came in the week before the January Flu shot craze and it was an efficient process. I walked up to the pharmacists and told them what I wanted. Handed them my insurance card and waited 10 minutes while they approved it with insurance and pulled what was needed to administer the vaccination. The pharmacist that gave me the shot was fast, efficient, friendly and professional. All that I expect from a health care provider. In 15 minutes, I was walking out of the door with a band-aid on my arm. read more

It's a place that if we see something in the paper w/ good sales, then we'll come in or if we need a card for a last minute party that we're attending, then OK, it's convenient but other than that, I'd rather go to Walgreens. Shout out to Tonya from the Pharmacy Dept., who went above and beyond for me: helped me call my insurance to figure out why my copay's so high, to figuring out how to help me get my prescription at a more affordable cost, to calling other CVS Pharmacies to see if they have the prescription I needed. I've never experienced such incredible service before and am taken aback, honestly. I live in San Francisco, where I'm used to NOT getting help and getting RUSHED via phone or in-person 24/7, so this type of treatment and service was refreshing and appreciated, especially during this crisis time, where places are on lock-down. She could've had a bad attitude, having to be at work and exposed to people needing prescriptions but she's going above and beyond to take care of patients! They change from generic to brand name without telling you. You get verification that your RX is ready for pickup then you show up and they tell you it's not ready. I have given them my insurance card every single time and they still end up not billing my insurance. This pharmacy is horrible. My husband has had more issues than me but there shouldn't be any issues. read more

This CVS Pharmacy has to be one of the better ones on the southwest side of town because the one on Warm Springs/Durango is awful. I have to come here often sometimes to drop off and pick up prescriptions for my mom. The staff that works in the actual pharmacy are all pleasant to deal with and very helpful. When you are a regular it makes it an overall great visit each time when they take the time to get to know you by name and other small chats. I am in the process of getting other medications switched to this location just for that reason. read more

After calling the corporate office - because I've: a)waited 10 min before being acknowledged at the counter b) been hung up on after waiting 9 minutes on hold c) been told I don't have current insurance, and then returned an hour later t only to be refunded the full price they charged me because their staff is incompetent... SO the corp office said "this location is understaffed and running with a intern, a floater and a pharmacist on her 1st assignment.
