Most of them are kind, helpful, and know me by name because I'm there so often. This review is not about them -- it's about CVS corporate and the way this place is being run. The touchscreen register systems are awful and constantly unresponsive. Employees have to keep tapping the screens over and over just to ring people up, which adds several extra minutes to every transaction and creates unnecessary stress for both staff and customers. There's no reason a company this large should have equipment that works this poorly. On top of that, dealing with my son's prescription prior authorization every month has been exhausting. Patients should not have to act as the middleman between the pharmacy, insurance, and doctor's office over and over again. It honestly feels like CVS is cutting corners on staffing, systems, and support while the employees are left dealing with the frustration from customers. The workers deserve better than this. It's frustrating for both staff and customers, and it really needs to be addressed.

However, I was quite taken aback and surprised how many items were just out of stock... like milk! Wouldn't the store be aware to restock some items during a busy celebratory time? Milk was just one of many things with empty or minimal stock. Yes, I could have gone elsewhere but I didn't. So grabbing some things I went to self-checkout and that area was crowded as well. Not the store's problem but people were in panic mode! Shopping in a frenzy. Not fun. After I checked out, got home, I found a few items didn't have the discounts I should have gotten, i.e. for Taylor Salad Packets, as MARKED. I got the deal on my App., downloaded everything properly and even scanned the ridiculously difficult bar code for in-store discounts. Nope, full price on the receipt. Yup, I can bring it back and I might just do that, but what a pain. Shopping and checking out shouldn't be like playing roulette. I'm surprised. I've read about these things here on social media, and this is the first time I actually experienced it too. Safeway- take note. The competition is mounting in these parts. Self checkout was quick - was here with a friend that lives nearby in Lincoln. Great, fast experience with competent help. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.

While I was there, I also grabbed some of the detox juice shots that I love, plus a few other essentials and items for my son. It was a super quick trip, and the location is just really convenient. They have a self-checkout available, but today I actually went through a regular register line. There were no long lines at all, and I was in and out of there in no time.

They consistently go above and beyond to help their customers. Recently, I had a situation where I was short on money and had to use some $2 bills that I had been saving for over 40 years. The receptionist, Dawn, noticed how much those bills meant to me, and thoughtfully set them aside. After I was able to pay another way, she returned them to me. It was an incredibly kind gesture that I will never forget. In today's world, it's rare to find people who care enough to do something so thoughtful. The entire staff has always treated me with kindness and respect, and this experience reinforced why I continue to trust them with my pharmacy needs. I think their prices are reasonable too. If you have been prescribed a medication such as Gabapentin for your pet (taste is awful) you can get it formulated to a pill or to a flavored liquid. Makes medicine time much easier and less stressful. Ask your Vet about using Advantage.

I need to go when the fewest people are there, otherwise it feels like a horror movie... all those people running around with multiple carts overfilled with stuff, some actually frantic. Besides who really needs six jars of super sized mayonnaise unless you have a family of twelve or more? However, there are some redeeming factors to shopping here, and possibly getting a good deal. This still remains the ONLY Costco in the area I'll visit for otherwise being run over by a crazed shopper with a full pallet of merchandise. So. Some great finds- We got two new good quality camping chairs for the outdoor concerts we attend at a rock bottom price! Woo hoo! Then I found a large container, yet still manageable, of my favorite snack treat, Aussie Bites, at a great price. Please don't buy them out!!! The maple syrup is good quality and less expensive than anywhere. The paper goods can also be a very good deal. Just have a big storage space for a gazillion rolls of toilet paper. They were unfortunately out, or no longer carrying, two other favorites, the top sirloin hamburgers and the Korean dumplings (an easy and quick, delicious treat). I recommend perusing the aisles as one never knows what really interesting product or bargain is lurking in the depths of this monster store. Oh, and if you want a ginormous TV that will never fit anywhere or a casket, just in case, they have those too. Plus, it's fun to count how many giant SUVs are parked in compact parking spaces to be as close to the front door as possible! After all, there's enough walking inside! They say Costco on them but they run through Electrify America, and they are F-A-S-T. I got up to 230 miles (80% ish for me) in 10 minutes from nearly dead quickly after I shopped. The crowd has usually been lighter than other Costco locations, which makes getting in and out easier. I think part of that is the location. Sierra College Boulevard does not have a huge commercial strip or much dense housing beyond the two nearby shopping centers and small neighborhoods, so the store feels calmer than the bigger warehouses. If you like Costco but not the chaos, this location has been the one I keep coming back to.
