    My favorite Bread
    Amy H.

Stopped in today after work. I really like their bread it has been sold out the last few times we were in. Happy to find it again. We also like this location. We find deals on produce, sodas and pudding. We enjoy their thick fries in the frozen area. Today we picked up a 10 lbs bag of potatoes for $1.98. We needed more hamburger buns those were also at a great price.

Deli Section [Roseville CA] For the most part I come here for the Deli Section. They have some pretty good flavored wings. This is an easy contribution for our potlucks at work, we just call it in the day before so that it's ready for next day pick up at 11:00a. We've gotten the 24-pc Fried Chicken and tried the Sweet Chipotle and their Salt & Vinegar flavored wings but my all time favorite is the Lemon Pepper. Prices are cheap and the wings are always a hit in our department. We also get the potato wedges with the chicken. Of the grocery items, I haven't actually gone through the aisles and compared their prices elsewhere. I like that the aisles are clean and wide. The employees are usually friendly when I needed assistance and at check-out. At WinCo they accept cash or debit payments only and we bag our own purchased items. Review #3393

We don't have a Winco Foods near us, so it's refreshing to be able to shop here when we are in the area visiting friends. Very affordable produce and other items. I didn't know they also offer freshly made pizza.

I love to come to Winco here and there to buy unique products and to save a few bucks on the groceries !! The prices are very affordable here!! They have a lot of unique products that I can't find at other grocery stores like dressings ect .. I'll be surprised of the things I find here and they are very delicious !! Then I get hooked on a certain product and I can't find it nowhere else and I have to come back to Winco to get it again lol ! Let's talk about how affordable things are here I buy MorningStar products at other grocery stores and I could get them here for like half the price that I do at other stores ! You do have to bag your own groceries, but that's pretty much the only difference than other major grocery stores. Everyone that works here seems nice and friendly. They have a little pizza station ! I always say I'm not gonna grab a slice, but I always end up grabbing one lol !! Overall, if you want to save a few bucks on your groceries and browse around the store and find some unique products, I will definitely check it out !!

The bread slices are enormous so they spread out all the veggies to fit the slice. I had ONE slice of pickle, one slice of tomato, three slices of avocado, two pieces of onion, and some lettuce on each half. It was really kind of astonishing to see how skimpy and pathetic it was. If it's a veggie sandwich with no meat and it's the same price, why wouldn't they add more veggies??? It's definitely not worth $5. I put everything on one half of the sandwich to try to fill up the bread and even then it was still skimpy. The employee seemed super irritated with simple questions I had (because I'd never been there) and just barked at me to fill out the little paper slip. There were no other customers so I'm not sure what the issue was.

Trader Joe's also has unique floral arrangements that you don't normally find at regular grocery stores. Within 24 hours, maybe less, they were opening up and had that beautiful bright yellow they daffodils are known for. I love buying quite a few bunches so that it looks fuller in the vase! As much as I loved these flowers, they didn't last more than a few days. At both my house and my clients, these were tossed by the end of the week (I bought them on a Sunday.) Although I bought them at such a good price, I would still love for flowers to last a bit longer, not than less than a week.. (When I buy them at Safeway, they last 2 weeks!) I also bought myself a string of pearls (A SUCCULENT!!!!!) In the right hands, that baby can grow long and strong! I'll keep you updated on that one if you like! Service is always the best here. I love coming for the freshest food! They have the best, most unique foods for a budget friendly price!

Their ads come out Tuesday night on the handy Safeway app. The old school way (cutting coupons from ads) is still availablel. For the discounts, you can use your phone number. That gets you member prices, which saves you money. Without signing up for the Safeway membership, you will pay a substantial amount more. This store is very clean. It's nice to grab yourself a coffee at Starbucks while you shop. All the departments work very hard to maintain an organized space, although there are hiccups here and there. They have great weekly specials. One that I am fond of is their "$5 Friday," where they offer an items/items for a deal. At this store, if they are out of that item that is part of their $5 Friday, you snooze you lose. For example, Safeway was offering the beef short ribs at just $5 a pound in their meat deptartment back in mid January, but they ran out. Normally, if they're out of an item that's on sale, you can request what's called a "rain check" at check out. This "rain check" is good for 30 days after it is given to you. I just found out they do not offer "rain checks" at this store for $5 Friday items, as said by the new night manager on Friday February 6th. Thankfully, it was already provided to me in mid January by an employee that also did not know this was a rule. So they honored it. At this store, "rain checks" are available on other items that are on sale in the ad during the week. Since this Safeway is not close to where I live, two other Safeway's have told me they offer it on all items all the time because they want to keep the customers coming back. Even on the $5 Friday items. So, for the inconvenience of having to go to another store because of this, I did drop my star rating by 2. I like using self checkout. It is easy and quick. The card systems take Apple and Android pay. There is a checker available to help you if you run into any issues. One person watches over about 6-8 self check out stations. Regular check stands are still available, too. I won't stop coming to this store. My client lives around the corner and she has her favorite Safeway items, like that roasted chicken I just picked up for her. She loves drinking Sprite and about every other week, Sprite will go on sale at Safeway's as "buy 2, get 2 free" and every so often, "buy 2 get 3 free." How can you pass up a deal like that?!

I've been here before it's been a couple of years, but I will say that the experience did not disappoint at all. I will say the customer service is much better at this location than what I experienced at the Arden Way location. Even if I didn't have to come pick up a package in this area, it will still worth the 35 minute drive from my house to come to this location. My cashier Brooke was super friendly and very helpful and answered my question about a specific inquiry. She thoroughly explained that there was an update and entering my phone number for my prime benefits, may not work, and I most likely would need to use the Amazon app scan code option to receive my prime discount. She even went above and beyond to give me further instructions regarding that. I truly appreciated her being so helpful, so patient and displaying such great customer service. My whole visit today was super pleasant. I purchased the artesian sandwich was delicious by the way. Yet another negative review for this place... here we go!…read more I think Whole Foods has finally succeeded in pushing away a loyal customer. For the past year and a half, I've spent an absurd amount of money in this store -- especially in the meat department -- and the service has been consistently disappointing. The issue isn't with the entire store, but specifically with a few employees in the meat department who behave as if customers owe them something. I've dealt with head-shakings, condescending remarks, and an overall attitude that makes it feel like I'm inconveniencing them with simple, reasonable requests. I'm not asking anyone to go hunt down a cow -- just basic customer service. I'm done spending my hard earned money in a place that treats customers this way. I've switched to Nugget Market, and honestly, I should've done it a long time ago. The difference is night and day: I'm treated with respect, my business feels appreciated, and every request at their meat counter is met with a smile and a genuine "of course." And while we're at it -- the deli department at Whole Foods is another headache. The long waits, the lack of urgency, the "we'll get to you when we get to you" vibe... it's exhausting. All the negative reviews speak for themselves. I don't know what's going on with the culture at this store, but thankfully, it's no longer my problem. Goodbye, Whole Foods. Hello, Nugget!!!
