I gave up on this CVS pharmacy after waiting on two 20-minute lines and walking away from a third. It's obvious this pharmacy is understaffed. This is my local store and I come here often. Folks here have always been nice and helpful. Today, I came in sick as a dog trying to pick up late holiday cards we sent over to be printed some time in the middle of the night. I had trouble figuring out how to use the "50% off prints" coupon from Kodak, and unable to edit my order to apply the discount, did not want to send an additional order with the coupon to avoid wasting paper and ink. I must've been in a sick stupor asking for detailed instructions on how to apply the coupon, not realizing the coupon was going to save me... maybe... $3. It really wasn't worth the trouble and I was embarrassed actually. But the counter folks pulled through and got us the discount, despite how snotty (figuratively and literally) I was. The pharmacy is understaffed at all times. Calling this place to see if your prescription is ready is worse than calling Spectrum unless you have your refill number. Unless you have hours to carve out of your day on the phone and another minimum 30 mins wait in line to pick it up, I wouldn't recommend this pharmacy. read more

My favorite location. Very clean, always stocked and the staff is amazing. I've been going to this CVS for over 15 years.

Their renovations have made the store look better. As far as the pharmacy portion, it's either they're quick(which is much preferred) or too long. My daughter called in a refill for her prescription and they said it would be ready in an hour. That already seemed like a long time. When we get there, it still wasn't ready. It took another 30 + minutes. I've never had to wait for a prescription so long. There aren't many chairs in the waiting area so it's probably just best to go when you need to purchase other items so you can kill time by walking around and do some shopping. Last week my 4 yr old had a fever for a few days and we almost had to take her to the emergency. We got a prescription from her doctor for antibiotics and came to this CVS. After I got her medicine, I went home, but we couldn't figure out how to give her the medicine, because it was in powder form. All I knew was that the guy gave me a plastic syringe and told me to fill it up with 10 ml. My wife then took out some of the powder and added some water to fill the syringe with 10 ml. Something didn't seem right though. I'm not a pharmacist, but something told me, that they forgot to add water or whatever to the bottle. Sure enough I go back to CVS which was filled out by a pharmacist named Sang J. Park and my gut feelings was right. They forgot to add water to her medicine. The pharmacist then apologized and went to the back, to fill the bottle with the appropriate amount of liquid. Picked up two of these and when I was about to pay they said it's almost $15.00 before tax . Cashier Jennifer called a pregnant girl first .i showed her the pic . she didn't believe me OR she tried to pull a fast one on me . The girl Jennifer called the manager after that , who said where is it come with me and show me . went there and the price tag had been changed by the pregnant girl ! First off, the store itself is clean, has parking (AMAZING given the neighborhood) and has self check out... HOWEVER the Pharmacy has the WORST customer service ever They completely lose my prescription for my birth control pills. I even showed them the package with their address clearly printed on it and the information, yet they have NO record of me in their system. Okay fine whatever... we were planning on having another baby anyway. So... when I end up pregnant (see aforementioned section) I naturally go to CVS to fill my prenatal and other prescriptions. They call me no less than 3 times a day (automated) telling me my order is ready, which is fine except its 5 days after I already picked them up from the pharmacy... FAIL! They also think women have a gestational length of an elephant. They called me 2 months after I give birth to my baby to tell me a prescription I needed during pregnancy was ready. Um... I tell them I already gave birth so I no longer need the prenatals... they call back a few days later telling me a prescription I had requested for a medication I needed during my pregnancy was denied by my OB office. Considering I was: A. No longer pregnant, B. it was for a medical procedure I had to have done on a ONE TIME BASIS and C. I had already picked up the prescription 3 months ago. I was not amused. Seriously? That pharmacist needs to stop letting the pharmacy techs do everything. I am an RN and I find their lack of professionalism and just plain common sense frightening. I came here so many times- It has gotten better over the years but it is still eh...it's ok. I buy medicines and snacks here. Also, other emergency items- The store is not clean but not a total mess. I go here a lot because it's close by my place. Staff workers are helpful and friendly for the most part. However there's a huge stealing problem here. I witness thieves all the times they just walk out... most of the staff are young and are distracted by talking to each other and don't even notice all the stealing going on. Went in with some questions about my parents medication and insurance and I was lucky to have Jasmine as the pharmacist to help me. she thoroughly explained and walked me through all the information even though it was hectic and busy. I rarely take the time out of my day to write a negative review...BUT! My card just got charged on their self checkout machines, but it said it wasnt charged despite i got a text message making me aware of my charge as well as a reflection in my credit card account. Now when i brought it to the staff's attention because im not a thief (i could've said fuck it and walked out) they were cool and let me know someone was coming. That someone was Mary. This bitch insisted that my card wasn't charged despite all the proof that i had showed her. What made matters worse was that the charge i was charged didnt even include the coupon i put in the machine so it reflected a different charge from what i was supposed to be charged, but i was cool with that BECAUSE the LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, My card was charged 3 times because it kept saying it didnt read it and didnt print out a receipt. I explained this to MARY, and she didnt care. She made that clear. I told her i would be "fuckn pissed" if my card gets charged twice. She didnt care. Because i had opened a box of tissues (im sick-leaky nose sick) i went ahead and re inserted my card, and of course, got a new notification that my card was used again at the cvs. When i showed it to her, she said they were pending charges and i could see her tomorrow with my statement to deal with the double charges. The worst pharmacy. Don't go here. Amateurs and poor customer service. They deemed one of my medications too expensive ($90) and wouldn't let me get it for that reason, they probably assumed I couldn't afford it because I'm black. They made me wait 1.5 hours just to tell me they didn't have my prescription after trying to give me a medication that wasn't even prescribed to me... that's got to be illegal, right? Racist and Prejudice Manger or cashier - tonight on 7/12/2021 at 2:49 am, a blond short hair African American CVS employee has repeatedly given my wife attitude , and this is the 2nd instance which I will not stand anymore. She was rude, and was very prejudice and racist as other African Americans and Hispanic customers were treated fine (and she carried lengthy conversations with) which deterred my wife from getting any service. This is a first too, where with the CVS in mid Wilshire on 3rd and Fairfax , my wife was able to return something at the middle of the nigh (after 1 am) and she made an excuse that this store doesn't accept any returns and that my wife had to come back at 8am (obviously probably after her shift). To be honest, this employee or manager or supervisor or whoever she is, doesn't like do anything that inconveniences her. I've had the same racist and bias treatment at the FedEx on Wilshire and it was the same thing. I will not tolerate this treatment , and no one should be mistreated any further. My usual place to pick up essentials. Lots of parking do no hassle there. They have a self checkout area to the other end of the store. They even have some produce and grocery area to shop. Sometimes when I'm in a rush I can get some milk and frozen meals here with my other household items. Great that they have staff monitor the front of the store to ensure safety of their shoppers. I always feel more secure knowing people are checking for masks as customers enter. read more

This pharmacy has gone down the drain in recent weeks/months and I'm not sure why but it needs to be said. Perhaps there was some kind of mass exodus of staff or management decided to get stingy and have fewer on shifts, but not even at the height of LA's worst pandemic days was it this poorly run. They've full on given up answering phones as today is the second time I've sat on hold waiting for someone to answer my call for two hours before I was disconnected. Are they that busy, you might wonder? Well, I was there myself yesterday and watched as the only TWO people on staff were so overloaded with dealing with the drop off line, pick up line and drive thru that they seemed to have chosen to ignore the loud speaker that kept announcing how many callers were waiting on the phone. Today, I was on hold for 5 mins short of TWO hours before someone picked up and said 'Adrian to the lines again thanks' and hung up. I heard them say this over the cvs loud speaker yesterday when I was there as well. About a month ago, I waited almost an hour in the drive through when only 3 cars were ahead of me. Each one having to sit and wait for long periods of time without answer. I don't know what is happening at this location but it's an utter and complete disaster and management needs to help their staff do a better job by putting MORE people on staff on given shift. When sick patients need medications, this is the last thing we need. I will be changing pharmacies immediately. Get your $#!+ together, CVS management. It's not fair to patients and it's not fair to the staff juggling a million things at once. read more
