New pharmacy team slaps. Very efficient. Great workers. Really sweet people. Hate the new machines though. They're really slow.

The store was recently remodeled but it's the same old place. Everything is locked up because it's in K-Town, they have a security guard near the door. The checkout person did not say a word to me, the person who opened the shelves seemed stressed to have to do that for a customer. Even the candy counter seemed understocked. read more

This location is great because it's open late but there are just so many things wrong. The pharmacy employees are amazing first off. Hats off to the they really are the only reason why I keep coming to this location. But everything is locked up, you have to wait for forever to get someone to help you out. One time I was walking by this CVS and I saw a gentleman throw a chocolate shake on a girl's car for zero reason, they had no interaction. She was pulling out of the parking lot with, thank goodness, her windows rolled up. Yesterday when I pulled in, I parked next to a dude sleeping in his wheelchair facing a brick wall. There's all kinds at this CVS so be prepared when you visit. I only go to this CVS if I absolutely have to or if it's going to be a very quick trip, and I don't need require any assistance. For example, lotto tickets! Go to the machine, give away all of my money to the state, and then walk right out. Simple and easy. When I first moved to KTown, I tried to make this CVS my thing. I was a huge CVS fan back in Chicago going once a week for sale items & whatever I needed. Thanks to this location, I've completely lost any interest in going to CVS. My wallet thanks you. The shelves were never well stocked, the carpet needs replacing really bad, shelves and walls are incredibly shabby, odd layout...overall it's a shop in disrepair. CVS def abandoned this location as a lost cause. :( I went to the Pharmacy here once when I moved and legit paid $111 for a month's worth of my meds. I was horrified and switched over to CostCo where I pay $8 for the same 3 medicines. Also when I went to pick up, the line was all the way down the aisle to the entrance of the store. Bonkers. I haven't ever seen it like that since, to be fair, but there always is some kind of line including at the very strangely placed & hard to navigate drive thru pickup. I did get a Covid shot here and the pharmacy person who assisted was super friendly, so the pharmacy staff is nice as can be! The parking lot is usually full, hard to pull into, hard to pull out of, cars double park to block others in sometimes ---unless the driver is in a GWagen bc those things park wherever they please. RE: pharmacist (Pharmacy Manager) JESSE/Store manager Luise RODENZO I have life time medications, which is over a counter paid by insurance with prior authorization. After I ordered about 2 months ago in August with store manager & confirmed that the store has medications. I asked Jesse -pharmacist to transfer from previous pharmacy so I can get the medication without interruption. She neglected for about whole month. Finally one of float pharmacist transferred on 10/24. Jesse kept saying there is no medications. She neglect to do follow up. I was out of medication for 1week. I eventually transferred to other pharmacy 10/30. I left mage to her 2X in person 5 x via phone. I also left msg to the store manager Luise Rodenzo 2X in person 5x via phone. None of them returned a calls I am still out of medication for 10 days. I filed a case against the pharmacist at CA Board of Pharmacy under investigation. One star is far too generous. I would give them negative 15 stars if that was an option. Avoid this location at all costs! Still the absolute WORST pharmacy I've ever had the unpleasant misfortune to deal with. It is always something with this place. Especially NOT disclosing incredibly important & pertinent information when it comes to prescription refills or transferring scripts from 1 location to another. FYI friends, if your refill accidentally goes to the wrong location you can only transfer it ONCE. So if that location is now completely inaccessible (due to distance, hours of operation, etc.) & you need your meds immediately & you couldn't request a transfer until the refill has been filled & you were UNAWARE OF THIS CA STATEWIDE POLICY & it's a weekend - well then that's YOUR problem & CVS does NOT care if you didn't know this information PRIOR to the weekend & therefore you cannot request a new prescription from your doctor be sent to Wilshire. When I reached out to the pharmacy to request the transfer, Wilshire had access to my record when they returned my call. One pharmacy can't initiate a transfer until the other pharmacy has completed the refill. Wilshire would have been able to inform me on THURSDAY that since I had transferred this script ONCE, I couldn't do it again. I had time BEFORE the weekend to reach out to my physician & ask them to issue a new script & send it to Wilshire because I couldn't go to my old CVS. And because it's blatantly obvious Wilshire really couldn't give a sh*t about their customers & actively demonstrates this disregard to healthcare, NO ONE INFORMED ME OF THIS STATE RESTRICTION TO LOCATION TRANSFERS when I called on THURSDAY. For the record, this policy has NEVER been disclosed to me at ANY pharmacy prior to today (Sunday). Doctors have the Hippocratic Oath to swear to - do no harm. I guess this type of oath does not apply to pharmacists. Or maybe it's just the Wilshire location? Wilshire's dereliction of duty is unbelievable. They'll claim it's the law's fault, when in reality they're lazy, incompetent & unable to assist patrons in any meaningful way. If they don't inform you about regulations, restrictions or stipulations - how as you supposed to know the law?!?? I am not a pharmacist. I wish I had another CVS near me to patronise. I only continue to come here because it's within walking distance of my home. I miss my old CVS, they were a great & extremely efficient staff. They CARED about their community. If you can, I would strongly urge you to avoid this location at all costs! This CVS sucks! When I went the other day, none of the three checkout lanes was open, forcing everyone to self checkout, where the lone CVS checkout employee was ping ponging from one station to another trying to fix whatever had gone wrong b/c something always goes wrong with self checkout. There are more security guards on site than employees, which is insane because no one can buy anything on their own since nearly everything is now locked up in a glass case. CVS doesn't want to pay to properly staff their stores; they'd rather just inconvenience the customer by making us all wait for the lone employee responding to the ceaseless loudspeaker droning, "customer service needed in deodorant," "customer service needed in family planning," "customer service needed in..." After waiting and waiting for our desired item to be freed, we then get to wait in line to check ourselves out and bag our own stuff all with ZER0 discount for our time spent and self-service. At this point we would be better with a room full of fucking vending machines stocked with toothpaste and deodorant and razors. If I didn't hate Amazon so much for all their bull shit shenanigans, I'd spare myself the drive, the time, and the frustration and just order online. What's happening at this store? Went in there today and everything was all thrown around; they were assembling those glass cabinets. They offered no assistance even though nothing was organized or on the shelves in any meaningful way. With everything locked up you will never get anyone for sure to help at this location. **Do not park here after the sun goes down!! The people managing this CVS work with a predatory and illegal towing street hustle named "ARS Tow". I had to pay $349 cash and uber to skid row at midnight to retrieve my car. No documentation or invoice, which is required for licensed, legal towing. Literally retrieved the car in a skid row scrapyard where a homeless man was tucking himself to sleep outside. Many other victims had their car damaged from careless towing. Made a reservation for a 11 and showed up on time. They made us wait 30 minutes even though we had an appointment and then told us my insurance didn't work and that it would be 75$ for a flu shot. At this CVS I had to ring the call button at least 4 times and waited a few minutes after pressing the button, so ended up waiting almost 20 minutes. I guess they're understaffed, it's hard to tell but there's never anyone on the floor to help customers, and this is a busy location. right on Wilshire, one of LAs busiest streets. If you're gonna lock up everything in the store, cough medicine, frozen food, cosmetics, personal wipes, deodorant, laundry detergent, then you should know people are going to need assistance to unlock the cabinets so they can buy the damn stuff. Cvs extra care or whatever they call the coupon deal is so maddening. When I first signed up, I got a health care item reduced by 70%. After that, there was always fine print. I was buying two toothbrushes and had a 40% off coupon that said any brand. The cashier said it wasn't valid for the purchase because it had to be $30 total!! Then another time I was getting eyedrops and had a coupon. I had to buy another box to get the discount, so now we have 3 boxes read more

Just got our car back but there were at least 7 or 8 kids in groups who were trying to get their cars too. Their misleading parking lot hours - 24 hrs tricks people in trusting them with their car. I made an appointment to get a flu shot and visited the CVS pharmacy, 3751 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010 at the scheduled time. Arrived 5 minutes early and clicked on the 'arrived' button on the app and received an announcement that someone would be coming to help soon. Not knowing where to wait, I lined up in front of the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist. Someone told me they would be coming in a few minutes, so I waited at the spot where she was pointing. But she didn't look at us, showed no expression, and barely guided us, telling us the way. By then, I was already a little angry, but I decided to wait patiently. But it wasn't until exactly 45 minutes after the appointment that someone finally arrived. There was no explanation or apology for the delay. Why did CVS Pharmacy create a appointment system if CVS Pharmacy weren't going to keep the appointment time? I'm very disappointed and will never visit CVS Pharmacy again. One star is a waste. This CVS works with predatory towing. Towed my car to skid row, demanded cash only did not give receipt. The CVS has windows blocked off, homeless tents aligned on the outside, no one shops here and they make their money by towing cars parked in the parking lot that's adjacent to another structure, intentionally confusing and misleading customers who are trying to find parking. No clear signs posted in the parking lot and dim lighting, making you unaware they will tow your car the moment you step out. Towing company is beyond sketchy, no physical address but an abandoned construction site in Skid Row. When we got there a dude pulled up in a van and asked for cash, no receipt, no credit card, no licenses or any other explanation. Damaged my car during the tow process, which I will be filing complaints with BBB. Avoid at all cost, or you will leave with a damaged car and ruined night. read more

This is our neighborhood CVS and it is, I think, an average CVS. Why am I reviewing it? Because I review fucking everything. Why are you reading this? Anyway, the parking situation is pretty good, especially for Koreatown. I've never had a hard time finding a space in the lot. The store is spacious and well maintained and not creepy, and it seems to be reasonably well stocked. It is possible, for example, to find children's Tylenol in the winter, which I gather is not true everywhere. I was not pleased, though, when we took our baby and toddler to take passport photos and we spent twenty minutes waiting for help only to learn that the one stupid camera was broken and they could not fulfill this basic advertised function. It is not easy to wrangle two kids under three for a drugstore errand that becomes a Sunday evening neighborhood search for photographic services. In any case, we'll keep using this CVS when we need a CVS. I just wouldn't recommend it if you have an urgent, immediate need for passport photos. read more

CVS Pharmacy Marina del Rey is the worst. This evening 5:30 I was in the store, 3rd on the Pharmacy line and waited one hour for service. Once I picked up my Rx the line behind me was 30 deep. There was one clerk to service customers picking up Rx's and customers doing online pick up. I felt sorry for the clerk trying to provide service under these circumstances. I hope someone cares enough to read these reviews because of how neglected this store is every time I come in. Every employee I asked in store to help me with an online pickup was extremely unhelpful and refused to help for one reason or another. This request takes less than 1 minute to help with, yet I had to wait in line because other employees who walked by could care less to help me. The issue is this store is completely understaffed and I can see the frustration that employees have and don't blame them- however customers shouldn't have to suffer because of this. What's the point of doing an online pickup if it's just as inconvenient as going and shopping in store to pay in the line? (It's already been 20 mins) Bottom line, HIRE MORE PEOPLE please, especially now that Rite Aid has gone out of business!!! One exception is a couple kind people at the pharmacy, at least they seem to be more organized and care about their patients especially the tall and kind guy with the fro (didn't catch his name). Honestly, it's sad to see that pharmacies now do not want to consult the customers I went up to the lady which I don't know the name of, but CVS is following this on October 22 2024 at 7:30pm she was working at the precision drop off area. I just kindly went up to show her a picture of a medicine and where it is she says go to the front and ask them it's a mess. She should know the answer of that not the front desk of the CVS. Every time I go in to fill a particular prescription I'm told there will be a week or so delay, or that they can do it because their manager is away. last update. I don't write a lot of reviews, usually only when service is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. This is my "home" CVS, bc it is convenient in terms of proximity and has plentiful parking. But I stopped coming here because 1) they do not care if you've waited in the pick up line and then again in the drop off line, they will shoot you to another line to wait in (sure, this is standard cvs protocol, but the degree that it's done here is absurd), and 2) one of the pharmacists here is so incredibly rude and unwilling to help. Actually, no one behind the counter has ever been particularly personable, but one is just plain hostile. Drug is not in stock, the CVS site says a pharmacist can help locate availability at a different location- but nope, she won't, and even pretty much tells me to buzz off. And so I watch her, is it me? something I said? Nope, spouse and I have watched her be super rude to others on multiple locations. I've started driving across town to a different CVS (5101 Obama Blvd) for my meds, because the staff there is consistently professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and even nice! I figure I'd rather spend more time in a car, and less time waiting in store and being treated poorly. This is the kind of pharmacy that makes you wonder if humanity is dead and civilization is about to collapse. read more

Slowest CVS I've ever been to and employees are so rude. It literally takes an hour just to pick up your medicine. The drive thru is always closed so it isn't convenient to come here. I feel sad for this store. I visited this morning and as soon as I walked in, I saw a man wearing a ski mask filling up his backpack with medicines, down that aisle. Then he kept going filling his pockets as I'm trying to find the tanning spray, I'm watching him from side eye. Then I notice 2 young girls, maybe high school, not sure why they were not in school.... These girls were hanging out in the make up aisle. Sure enough when I was driving out of parking lot I saw the 2 young girls running out of the store and dropping a thing of gorilla snot hair gel from their pockets. They were in there stealing. After waiting 30 mins in the drive thru and the line not moving, I called the pharmacy who said the drive thru was open but they are busy. I walked up to the window and knocked. The first car told me they lost his prescriptions and told him to wait. He had been waiting for 50 mins for them to find his prescriptions and the window had not opened since. The operations of this place is inefficient. If they had trouble with him, they should've asked him to pull aside while they take care of the next person. I'm sure they're really busy but to completely ignore the line of 6 cars that were there for 20 mins is unacceptable. 2-3 cars behind me eventually left. Who is the manager? This location is unlike any other. Within the last few months , I've witnessed the pharmacist gives out a big "sigh" if a customer asks a question, they treat customers like they are doing them a favor and they have said out loud, "You need to wait, I'm overwhelmed right now" to customers waiting for a vaccine. Today, 11/09/23, at 7pm, I went to pick up a prescription and as I waited to be helped, the pharmacist on duty didn't bother to look up when 2 customers who had a question. The pharmacist Just waived to go wait in the pick up area, when they had a question. A female pharmacy tech asked a male pharmacy tech (he didn't have a name tag, but the short, middle aged guy with white hair, lack of smile, with a huge attitude is hard to miss) to help clear the line. He got to the register and stood there. He didn't greet the customer and when the customer walked up to his register, the employee rolled his eyes and said: NAME. This CVS location has a diverse customer base and it's rare if the employe is kind. The Pharmacist are rude, 70% of the pharmacy employees are rude and the lines to pick medication are always unnecessarily long! Avoid this location and try a different CVS pharmacy. Ive tried the one on 3rd and Fairfax AND Vine St (in Hollywood) and the experience was completely different! Save your blood pressure from rising and go elsewhere. read more

Sadly, this seems to be the state of most of the CVS stores here in the Mid-LA area, so this is probably a higher management level problem. Given that Rite Aid has closed a large number of stores in the area, we're stuck with CVS; otherwise, I would totally avoid this chain. read more
