Came to this CVS on Pollard in Los Gatos this morning looking for a few different things. I mainly wanted new nail polish by OPI in a nice color for fall and winter which I was able to find easily. They have a good selection of OPI nail polish colors. I was happy to find that. However I was also looking for cotton balls and they were completely out of them. I asked a sales clerk, Leila, where they were and she confirmed that they were completely out. Later I asked her if they would order more and she said yes but didn't really give me much info about it. Seems like a pretty necessary item to have in stock but who knows these days with covid what can be available because I thought for sure Safeway next door would have them but they didn't either. It was easy to find cotton balls a few days ago in Hawaii though. I should have brought them with me back home! I gave them to my friend instead. I'll try ordering from Amazon. Other than that, my mom wanted Sudafed and Leila showed me where it was, so that was great, and I found bobby pins easily which I needed. Overall it was a good experience. The store was pretty nicely organized and had lots of fun stuff, I'm pretty sure I could spend a long time browsing in there and buy a lot of bonus stuff but I didn't do that. read more

I just came in for a prescription pickup and am the only one here. They said they are filling it now and it will be an hour. My regular cvs is 30 min max wait, even with a line (they were out of stock, and I need this medicine asap). Then as I sat down to wait, I saw the brunette pharmacist with curly hair up in a messy bun make a joke about to her brunette coworker with glasses and they both looked at me and laughed. read more

On 12/4 a customer was attempting to buy some supplies when he was hounded and badgered for not knowing English the woman that worked there specifically asked long winded questions like instead of asking for an ID she said "how old are you can you provide your California issued identification" purposefully attempting to confuse the customer and when helped by another customer said "how can you live here if you don't know English where are you from?" Continuously badgering the customer not finishing the transaction even after the customer produced California DL only after pressured by other English speaking customers did she finish the transaction chuckling to herself and with venom in her voice saying de nada to the thanks of the customer. Went to pick up a prescription at the Pollard Rd. CVS hours after I was notified it was ready, waited at least 20 minutes in the store while they tried to find it, then was told it was at another CVS pharmacy (it wasn't). Checked again when I got home after pharmacy visit, was told again on the recording that it was ready for pick-up. Very frustrating experience - will not return read more

I would give them zero stars if possible. Pharmacy at this CVS now closes at 6 PM. I believe most people work hours are typically until about 5 o'clock if not later. A pharmacy closing that early just doesn't make sense. Additionally, all the workers there seemed disgruntled and rude. I wouldn't be trusting my health to them if it is anything other than a generic one time prescription fill. read more

Generally, I am pretty understanding but Today I felt like the pharmacist was just lying to my face. She told me they had just received my prescription but I was automatically notified hours prior. That there wasn't enough time. The pharmacist w curly hair has some attitude issues or just isn't nice to people (seems to be a common theme), although our interaction was short- I could tell she was going to be a royal pain. My prescription would've taken half a minute to fill and there was nobody left in line. Some people just don't really care about others and it shows. read more

The pharmacists, specifically Nilou actually know most people by name. She goes above and beyond. And so many times she takes that extra minute to really listen and help. The other people who work there like Derrick are always a friendly face. This feels like how going to the pharmacist used to be. Yes, not open on Sundays, but that's not a big deal. Everyone there has always greeted me, asked if I needed help, and helped me find extra coupons etc. I do get upsets when someone is rude to these people that I have known and been served by for over 4 years + So please be kind and remember they work hard and deserve respect. read more

Can you rate zero stars on Yelp? When you call the pharmacy, your average hold time is 15 minutes; when the pharmacy does answer, they put you back on hold or have hang up. I've been hung up on several times only to call back and never speak to anyone. It's not worth the frustration to try again with this CVS location, regardless of the urgency of the prescription. After several failed attempts to speak with the pharmacy, I am reminded why I moved all my family prescriptions from this CVS location to a non-CVS pharmacy chain. read more

Worst cvs pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Every time I call, they take at least 2-5 minutes to answer the phone and the woman who answered is so rude and sounds so disinterested and dismissive. Considering your field of work, you should care a little more about the people calling. read more

Sadly the Pollard Road CVS pharmacy hours have dwindled to closed on Sundays --- which is downright scary if you need meds that day! --- and as icing on cake, Pollard CVS opens late morning and shutters up *before* dinner time daily! People with office jobs or who can only pick up medicine on Sunday or after dinner are out of luck! I tried to pick up an autofilled medicine one day at 5 pm and sign said "closed." I got a recording saying get your medicine urgently or we re-shelve it. I went in the next day and sign said closed all day. Come back Monday. I came in Monday at 9:45 am and they were not open yet! I then get a robo call saying, you're too late! The medicine had been put back. I tried three times rushing here over three days at very reasonable times per their calls and then they put it back. I went during the work day and there technician with tattoos down her arm said, "Come back in 1.5 hours." This is after 3 visits and calls from them saying pick the medicine up "now" on the day they are closed! Go somewhere else for medicine! The sad thing is I saw many pharmacy workers and a very long line several times. read more

The people who work the pharmacy are very mean... their automatic system said my prescription was ready so I went to pick it up. They said it wasn't ready and laughed at me and said no when I asked them if they could fill it. I really needed my medication and would've just called my doctor if I knew earlier. They just sat there and laughed at me when I asked what to do. Made me very uncomfortable. Moving my prescriptions to a different CVS now. I'd rather drive out of my way than be ridiculed again. read more

As a pharmacy they are pretty unreliable. Prescriptions take forever to fill, sometimes I don't get a call that the prescription is ready, and they run out of medicine more often than any other pharmacy I've dealt with my whole entire life. The lines are not always long, but the wait is always excruciatingly long. One time I picked up a prescription and the price was ridiculously high. I figured it was our insurance coverage and told the worker it was a medicine the doctor said may or may not work, so I told them I didn't want to spend that much on a possibility of it working. The worker asked me to wait, she did something on the computer, then magically the price of the medicine dramatically dropped down. Another time the price of my prescription was so high (it was a newer medicine that didn't have a generic substitute), I asked what my insurance was covering. The worker gave me attitude and said they were not allowed to tell me how much was covered by my insurance. I found that odd and told her so, to which she responded with the same answer. I didn't pick up that prescription. I called my doctor and she called an online pharmacy company that finds deals for newer medication that do not have a generic option. The price dropped to 1/4 of the price. I stopped using this CVS for a while and switched to Walgreens. I picked up a prescription from Walgreens next time, and right on the medicine information they print out the cost of the medicine, including what my insurance covered. I guess CVS has its own policy of not sharing how much your insurance covers for your medication??? They also have the worst hours. read more

If you value your health or that of a loved one DON'T USE THIS PHARMACY. My mother is dying from advanced cancer and we needed prescription refills. We were told hours before the pharmacy closed that her prescription would be ready "in an hour", called 90mins later "ready in half an hour"... I arrive at this CVS 4HOURS after my first call to find the pharmacy closed and the remaining counter staff apathetic. While I understand the pharmacy is separate from the retail side, I believe (as I told the staff on hand) "Don't lie to your customers in regards to when their prescriptions will be available. You owe people that level of human dignity." The Walgreens on Blossom Hill was far more efficient and empathetic. read more

The website needs to be updated to say the pharmacy closes an hour before the store closes. I rushed over here to make it before the 6 PM clothes only to be told I couldn't pick up a refilled prescription that was waiting for my son because they closed at 5 o'clock in the pharmacy section. Everyone here is so accommodating but this really does need to be fixed. read more

This CVS pharmacy gave me the best service ever!! My prescription wasn't called in like I had been told, and everyone behind the counter was so helpful to getting the order processed. No one made me feel like I was wasttheir time, The BEST!! read more

Pharmacy staff need a lesson in customer service. If you value accuracy in your med, peace of mind and overall health please avoid this horrid pharmacy. Strongly advise CVS management to do a re-haul of the pharmacy staff and get more competent and empathetic staff. People usually come to CVS for the pharmacy so its important for that to be passable quality at least. read more

Admittedly, I don't normally go to this CVS because it's not convenient for me, but when I had to pick up a prescription the other day, I ended up here. I have to say, I'm so glad I did. The pharmacy was pretty busy, but the staff was efficient and so friendly. Special shout out to Jenny and Jon, who answered some questions for me, were kind, courteous and just a pleasure to interact with. The pharmacy is TERRIBLE. I called a week before my prescription was being filled to make sure they had my medicine in stock, the pharmacist I spoke to said "don't worry we will have it in stock for you". I called a day before (a week later) I was going to pick it up, and they said they didn't have it in stock and won't have it for 4 DAYS. So now I am calling other pharmacies all over the South Bay to see if anybody has my medicine in stock. This pharmacy is unreliable and doesn't follow through with their word. At this point I will not recommend any cvs. I am stuck due to insurance, but pharmacist and technicians are not required to wear masks, it is their choice. I was in recently and the person in front of me was asking for paxlovid because they tested positive. They had a mask but not anyone else in pharmacy. Today's pickup was not much different. While getting drugs through the mail may sound like a solution it isn't unless you are home when they arrive. I am severely immuno compromised, and some drugs are heat sensitive, we also have problems with mail theft in the area. All pharmacies should require masking. They are putting us all at risk! read more

This is a convenient location for me though it looks a little small as compared to other drug stores. The prices also seem a little higher than at Safeway which is next door, but CVS's selection is greater and they have a full pharmacy. Try Safeway first for general over the counter items, then go to CVS. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and helpful, and I have never seen it crowded or have to wait for more than one person in line. read more

Made an appt for a flu shot. Tried Safeway, PAMF and Walgreens prior to CVS and had comments like we don't have anymore, don't know if we are getting more, Walgreens told me that they are running 2 hours late in their appts (workers didn't show up) so don't come in at all. CVS on line scheduling is easy and thorough. I arrived and they acknowledged I was there in a couple minutes and my husband and I were called in just a couple minutes. The Pharmacy Manager gave us our shots and he was kind and professional. I can rave higher about CVS and how they take care of their patients! THANK YOU CVS!!! read more

I asked for my refill a couple of days ago and today I go to the pharmacy to pick them up. They did not have the order on file and they told me they would have it ready in 30 minutes. I asked clearly if they had the medication on the store because in the past they would miss their estimations multiple times. They said yes. When I arrived 3 hours later and asked for the medicine they said that it was on back order and it would take multiple days to get there. If the DMV operated a Pharmacy, this would be it. Rx's dispensed with mistakes in quantity (twice), not available when promised (often), mistakes in billing (frequent), and most annoyingly, having the names of my prescriptions shouted out across the pharmacy floor with other customers around (HIPPA confidentiality violation). Not very professional. I've been going here since it opened because it is very convenient. However, I now find myself waiting for mistakes to be rectified or returning numerous times for the same Rx. It was well run when Pat was the Pharmacist, but that's no longer true. Agree with Yelpers' prior comments, as pharmacy staff turns over frequently, and the current staff doesn't seem to care about their customers and don't even apologize for their frequent mistakes. Time for me to go elsewhere. Follow-up Comment: Just contacted a local independent pharmacy, and had them check on a fairly specialized and high co-pay med. They called back promptly, told me that they were able to special order it AND they were able to use the manufacturer's program to reduce the co-pay to $10 from $130/mo. Well, this CVS has changed since Galen and Diane left. There is one woman working there now who seems irritated quite often. In fact, I came in there looking for an item. I would have not cared, except that she said: We don't carry that anymore! What about the other CVS locations near there? What if they have a bath brush? The point is she did not think about trying to find out if another CVS might have it? It is not the time to talk about what Galen or Diane might have done to help me. But, I am sure that Galen would have tried. That is what I said about him in my previous review. read more

I live in the area for al Long time and always want to be patient as I am local but they are absolutely horrible. This pharmacy is less than a half mile from my house, so obviously it is very convenient. Previously, I utilized the Los Gatos Walgreens. That was a nightmare in and of itself. As others have mentioned, the front store is VERY limited. But if you can not find something the Safeway next door usually has it. The front store staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pharmacy is another issue altogether. One person mentioned Pat the pharmacist. He has not been there in months. The staff is constantly changing. The first year or two we were using the pharmacy, my husband and I knew the entire pharmacy staff and they worked well with us. But for months now there is constant turnover and the newest people are as rude as all get out! I have lots of scripts that need to be refilled monthly. 99% of the time they are out-of-stock of one or two scripts. And it usually takes 2 days for them to get them in stock. Another issue is that I get pen injections. Often I have issues with the pens. They get stuck, the medication shoots out before the syringe is in my thigh, etc... Until a month or so ago, all we needed to do is return them to the pharmacy and they would exchange them. Now they have a new "policy" -- the customer has to call the manufacturer, explain the situation and defect and then they send someone (FedEx, UPS, etc..) out to pick up the defective pens and then they send a replacement to my pharmacy. It takes 2-3 weeks for them to get the replacement to the pharmacy! And the last time this happened, they called me and told me the injections were in. When my husband went to pick them up there was mass confusion and they claimed they had yet to receive them. The pharmacy is just a mess. And with the exception of the pharmacist, Mylin, the staff is rude and surly. Although I hate Walgreens, I am seriously thinking of switching pharmacies. read more

This pharmacy would be well advised to conduct some customer service training. I don't enjoy going there, but sometimes I do just because I live nearby. The short male cashier is often downright rude and surly to me, and there is a female worker who also has a bad attitude sometimes. They don't have it right, and need to make some changes. The new CVS down the street on Saratoga Avenue is much better. Shop there if you can. read more

Had a Rx filled yesterday, I approached the "DROP OFF" counter, "Tina" looked very busy on the computer and didn't bother to make eye contact with me and say something curteous like, "Hi, I will be with you in just a moment", INSTEAD I get NO eye contact and a "Yeah!" I tell her i'm need a Rx filled so she pulls herself away from the computer and starts looking up my info. She proceeds to mumble something to me but I dont' understand her, oh wait she's talking to herself. I told her I was gonna wait for it and that I would be next door at Safeway. She says it'll be ready in 15 min. I come back in 15 and she's running around the pharmacy trying to help someone with something when she notices me, "I need your new medical card"!! I told her I come here all the time but hand her the card anyway. Then she turns around 2 min later and hands it back, "Oh, uh, nevermind, I don't know what i'm talking about". CVS PLEASE hire peeps that know how to interact with customers professionally bcuz this chick doesn't even have social skills! BTW, 2 stars for having my Rx ready in 15! read more

Sure, small store and sometimes limited selection, but pharmacy is great. Fast service, friendly, and always willing to help you. Likewise for the rest of the staff. I am very grateful that we have this store near us. read more

I've always had a pleasant experience at the local CVS. Today, Ava helped me out and answered my questions. She checked us out at the register and was friendly and smiling the entire time. The only thing is that they close earlier on Saturdays, 7pm rather than 8pm. So, I had to go back this morning (Sunday) to get what we needed. I noticed that there were at least two more customers after us hoping that CVS was opened. Maybe one day, they can change the times to reflect the rest of the week's closing time. I've never used the pharmacy so I can't speak for it. But overall, always a positive experience. read more

Wow... I live very close to this particular CVS and have always received good customer service. For once I was going to the pharmacy and I regret going. Samar was very sweet and trying to be helpful but the other lady gave me an eye roll. I have never been so disrespected by employees enough to make a yelp review. Not only was the pharmacist rude but also the MANAGER was first of all rude and no help whatsoever. So save your time and don't go to this CVS. Nobody deserves to be given attitude especially when it is your customer making a purchase at your store. So dissapointed. read more
