This store is always clean, and the pharmacy staff are friendly and helpful, but the store itself has decided to remove the bike rack from out front that people used to lock their bikes up to so they would not get stolen. Some people who are disabled and can't drive a car or who have other reasons why they can't drive often use e-bikes or bicycles to run short errands and need to have the option to lock up their bikes. CVS has removed their bike rack without having another option to safely lock up their bikes. They used to have one right in front of the store so people could lock their bikes, and it was in plain view of other customers, and that gave a secure location for locking. Several people I know have decided to go across the street to a competitor pharmacy because they care enough about the people who ride bikes to have a bike rack so people can secure their bikes and prevent their only mode of transportation from being stolen. I was there a while back when someone got their bike stolen because of this lack of caring for people who need to use bikes. This lack of consideration has undoubtedly cost CVS customers beyond the ones I know of. Please, CVS, start caring about your customers who don't drive and put a bike rack back at your store! read more

Ever since riteaid closed iv been coming here. Medications are never ready. The girl at the window can never find the medication. Wait line is always at the least 30-40 min. I came to pick up ex for my daughter that has epilepsy was told they only had one ready. That whoever I "spoke to" you can never get anyone on the phone btw I ordered it through the automated system that they had not "pushed" it through. Was told by the pharmacist to get back in line it would be another 15-20min. She was rude and ended up hanging up on me because she said I had people waiting behind me. When I had already been waiting, and now had to wait more since they failed to do their job. She said the longer I'm on the phone the longer it will take me to fill it. So I told her to hang up and do her job. I did not move. Took them less than 5 min. To top it off, I paid my co pay, and they said my card was in the bag. Typically that's what they do. Guess what I realized too late? It's not in there. So here I am back at this pharmacy waiting in line AGAIN for my card. Wondering what they will be saying to me. This place is terrible, terrible service and the girls at the window are young and need more training but at least they are nice. Unlike the pharmacist. She had an accent. Don't think she's hard to pin point. I was picking up seizure medication btw nothing controlled. I would give them a 0 if I could. Trash! read more

CVS Pharmacy - the time on the front of the store - Drugstores Near Me - MODESTO, California

Let me start by saying that I am only reviewing this business after several visits to this pharmacy. I have only had minimal interactions with the front employees and all of those were very helpful. Today I have a need for an antibiotic for a nasty lil sinus infection and at 10am was told to check back in the afternoon as they do not have my medicine available. Now it's 4pm and my head is pounding and I was told the delivery just arrived and they will call me. 530 and I'm calling again to be told my medicine has arrived and it'll be another hour or so. 630pm I can barely see and my infection is so bad and I'm told it'll probably be tomorrow if I want it as it never arrived. I was then told it could be transferred if it's in stock. Yes please and I call Oakdale Rd. I'm only here because of my insurance changing pharmacies and guess what? I called the pahaacy on Oakdale road and it was ready in 15. My next review is for them. If you Have to go to CVS....AVOID HATCH RD WPRST PHARMACY E...V...E....R! read more

05/10/24 @ 11 am I drove up through drive thru to pick up se medication and the girl at the window did not have any type of customer service whatsoever. All she did was ask for my dob and name, she didn't even ask if i wanted someone to go over my meds with and just rolled her eyes as if she didn't want to be there. I have recently moved close by the CVS on Hatch I have been getting my medication from CVS for years but this CVS Pharmacy is really sad they run out of medication, on a regular basics, Every year I leave in June for vacation and usley gone until the middle if July this year I HD to wait to go for days because they would not give me my medication early, yes it is one if those medication but every year for years I've been asking to get this medication earlyvso I can go on my vacation with out any problems but this year was just the run around, one of the employees will tell u one thing and the other one will tell u another thing, Do your self a favor don't go here their are to many other places around to even bother My friends mother told me not to go here but I did not listen shame in me but I'm informing you don't go here find another place maybe they will get the hint read more

Went to this pharmacy to get a prescription. I was told I'd get a text when my order was ready so I went home. I got the text about a half hour later and when I got there I waited 45 mins after being told it'd be 15 mins more. I left after an hour with no medicine for my son. Why send me the text when my prescription isn't even ready? I guess to make their numbers look good. SMH Now for a new review but just as bad. My other son went to the doctor and was given a new prescription. We went to pick it up 5 hours later and were told it wasn't ready yet. I was told that new prescriptions were supposed to be taken care of first but this pharmacy doesn't seem to follow that rule. Will never again let them take care of our prescriptions. The Carpenter location is 10 times better. Esp. in the evening. BTW this does not reflect on the rest of the store, only the pharmacy. Terrible service all the time. read more

Although the other reviews state that this pharmacy is the worst, it's not all that bad. Employees are fairly friendly and helpful, the rest of the store is pretty good. You can always count on them for gift cards, and other necessary things. Would definitely recommend, prices are average. read more

At around 4:00 pm, I picked my friend up from out patient surgery in Modesto, and stopped by CVS (drive through) in Ceres to get her prescription filled for pain meds. They told her that her prescription wouldn't be ready until 7pm because that's when the pharmacist would get around to it. Unbelievable! This poor girl who just had surgery and is unable to drive will have to find a ride at 7 pm to get her post op pain meds. So much for customer service. What a joke! read more

If I could give this a zero star rating I would. They falsely advertise prices. I was interested in some after Christmas clearance items but everything was ringing up full price. I was told to return the next day to talk with the store manager but she already marked everything to be returned to the warehouse even though they were still on the floor for display. I've never felt so discriminated against.She refused to provide the medication that my relative has been taking for years in fear of losing her license. She then went on to say that she would refil only 1 prescription but then back tracked and said no implying that my relative would "just go to another pharmacy and fill the rest of them there". Horrible horrible place to go for anything. Tonight they called the cops on me...not because I was stealing(I don't steal) not for being anything but a shopping customer..and locked me in 20mins. before closing(keeping me hostage until the police got there, i would like to see where this is walgreens procedure) but because I acted funny or 'strange' (being polite and courteous..saying please and thank you and all that gist is strange to them I suppose) so a lady, another fellow customer comes to me from checking out all the way to the other side of the store to tell me they called the police on me for being 'strange' so I go up to the workers and ask them "do you call the police on all your customers?" They immediately deny calling on me and say they called on that lady for stealing..yes the one who came all the way to the other side of the store to inform me who they just unlocked their front doors to allow her to leave. And I now -no longer feel like shopping- tell them I'm now ready to checkout and I just want to check a few items prices first..as I'm checking the prices on three items the police walk in and ask me to step outside so he may speak to me.. the Ceres officer handled this situation IMO above and beyond respectful,polite, and perfect. And after running my name lets me go to finish/complete my checkout and I tell him I no longer want to after being succumbed to this wrong behavior so I thanked the officer for handling it the way he did and I went to my truck I wanted to leave. After thinking for a moment I get a paper notebook and pen and I return to ask tor the employees names it's not 9:55pm and the door are locked and I tell them I want to talk to their boss/supervisor and they came tell me no they're closed I show them the notebook and pen saying I would like to report them for this. They then tell me I have to come back tomorrow, so I say "ok but what are your names" she then ignores me. So I took a picture of one of them for every one to know who it is and wha they did. Try the front register for an over the counter cough medicine that is clearly marked on sale for $11.99, the total at the register came to well over $20. What?! Umm, excuse me, that was on sale. I've never been to this store before.. When I was walking up to the entrance I couldn't help notice the smell of skunk. Not sure if it's because I'm 8 months pregnant. Thought it was a little odd that the store front smelt that way. I noticed also that the carts were very filthy and none of them didn't have trash in them. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because of the manager. He checked me out at the register and was very friendly and talkative. I did have to use the restroom there and it was a bit disgusting.. I can see why the pharmacist has to unlock the door for you. I was Very disappointed with the service. According to their website and the door signage the store is open till 10 p.m. yet the doors were locked at 9:50. I rushed over knowing that I had at least five minutes to run in and grab my son some cough medicine. I get to the doors and I can't even get in they're not open I knock, she looks at me and stares and turns away so I continued to push the doors open and make my way in asking her aren't you still open till 10 and she says we're closing in five minutes though. Closing in five minutes when it's 9:50 and your sign and website says 10 p.m. is not the time you close specially when I have an emergency like geting my son's medicine at a specific time not from the pharmacy just over the counter. Then I get over to the cough medicine aisle grab some cough medicine off the shelf that's shows the price of $9.99. I noticed those other bottles looking similar with a higher price of $18.49 and $24.99 so I make sure that the tag coincides with the product the tag says it's a 12 ounce NyQuil and the bottles I'm holding or at daytime and nighttime 12 ounces so I think I have the right thing. When I get to the register it rings up $18.49 I tell her that that's the wrong price that on the Shelf it shows $9.99. I walk over to show her and she says to the other girl can you believe it someone put three bottles in front of the $9.99 price tag and then proceeds to tell another employee can you believe it someone put 3 bottles and front of the $9.99 price tag. She stares at me angry and frustrated as if she was accusing me of the situation. I am not a thief nor do I gain anything by changing the tags or removing the product. I really didn't have that type of time my time and concern was to get the medicine back to my son so he would be able to sleep for the night considering he was coughing and coughing Non- stop. I felt disrespected and treated as a criminal I felt as if she was accusing me of changing the product on the shelf or the tag and then to top it off I feel like CVS is hiring people who have no care for their customers who help make their paycheck possible. I have been in the customer service industry for over 20 years I have managed in Retail businesses and I'll continue to work in sales with customer service. I never forget why my check is even possible it is to those patrons who come in and shop at the business that I work at. She was so quick to throw the stone at me and regards to that product and that is why I am on Yelp at this moment people need this see how bad this CVS store is it's just not surprising to me that CVS stores everywhere are starting to close or get little to no business. There is a Walgreens right across the street I guess that'll be the new place for me to shop for any of my Pharmacy needs thank you CVS for teaching me the value of customer service in your eyes. I think the other reason I'm here on Yelp it's because today I had to work 20 minutes over cuz I had a customer who walked in my doors a minute to closing and I still take care of that customer and make sure they were happy non their way and all it did was make me 20 minutes later to get home but I bet you my customer isn't writing a review on Yelp in regards to their poor customer service. And CVS should start posting signs that they close 10 minutes to 10 not at 10 thank you Paula for your wonderful treatment. Absolute worst customer service. They NEVER have my prescriptions ready no matter what the promised time is. Mind you, I get the same exact thing every month and they never have it ready, even if they text me saying it is ready for pick up. I've been going back and fourth with them FOR WEEKS because they claim I have no insurance, but my own insurance called them twice and told them that it's an error on their end because they are inputting information incorrectly, and both times they refuse to take the time to correct it, so I haven't been able to pick up my prescribed medicine in over two weeks. It's ridiculous. Every single time there is an issue. I don't know if their needs to be additional training for technology, people skills, or basic common sense, but for years every interaction is terrible. read more

Honestly I've gotten to where I cannot stand this location. Two times already in the past six months I have needed pain medicine that was prescribed for my doctor they don't say a word to me so I'm sitting there thinking that the prescription is being filled, and then when I pull up to get it they tell me they don't have it in stock and will not tell me when they're getting more in stock. I am no longer going to go to CVS I go right down the road to Gills pharmacy after CVS turned me away and they always have the prescription. So no longer will I even try to go there. I am extremely disappointed I used to be an avid CVS customer but when my daughter is in extreme pain and they can't even help me nor do they let me know ahead of time that they don't have the medicine and now I'm scrambling to find medicine, I'm pretty much done as a customer. Belinda the pharmacist and Kivi the pharmacy tech helped with the confusion with the prescriptions that my doctor had sent over to a different pharmacy ... everyone was extremely friendly and attentive and quick to take care of me also the gentleman that cashed me out in the pharmacy also was very friendly and pleasant ! Right then and there I transferred all my family members scripts over to this CvS ! Thank you and looking forward to doing more business with them ! Terrible service! Went to get my meds Friday after 6pm and the pharmacy was closed. The next morning I stood in line (drive through) for 20 minutes for the lady on the window with curly hair telling me the pharmacist was on lunch and couldn't provide me the meds cause the pharmacist needed to go over them and told me to come back later..SUPER RUDE. When I came back later I went inside the store, stood in line for about 15 minutes to find out they couldn't find my meds so after waiting for so long they had to refill my prescription, when I got to the "pharmacist" she asked if the doctor had gone over the medicine with me...are you kidding me that's your job so she went over it rudely, irrelevant information. This pharmacy is not customer service friendly. I called in medication to be done as a priority because with being a national truck driver, I'm not always in the same area for long. So after an hour I go to pick up medications and their closed for the night. Noon the next day, my wife goes to pick it up and it's not even ready. They haven't even filled it yet. I gave the manager Pamela 1 star she sat on the phone holding a loud personal conversation for 5 minutes at least even after the customer service announcement on the loud speaker said a customer needed help in the shaving section... I stood by the razor cartridges for a while watching her talk on the phone then she hung up and walked towards the back either she didnt hear the announcement and didnt see me standing their or she just didnt care but she walked fast toward the back like she had something to do.... (probably to take a nap) She doesnt deserve a Manager position with the treatment she gives her customers.... Anyways so i waited for the cashier to get done with the line and he was happy to help me out and also helped another customer and then met me over at the cash register he deserves 5 star customer service i didnt get his name though :( but he was really professional for a cvs worker and took his job way more seriously than the manager did.... I can't stand this pharmacy. I just switched to Walgreens because this pharmacy is so disorganized and rude. First off, it takes forever to get a refill, and when I just called, I was on hold for 26 minutes just so I could request my transfer to Walgreens. The man came on the phone one time in that 26 minutes and when I proceeded to tell him what I needed, he didn't even let me finish and put me on hold for another 10+ minutes. I am so happy I am DONE with this pharmacy for good. They need some serious, serious help in the pharmacy department. The only good thing I can say about them is that ONE time there was a young woman working behind the pharmacy counter and she was soooo nice and kept informing me that my rx would be ready soon. Sad part is, she was just a store worker! She wasn't associated with the pharmacy department. They were just busy so she was helping them out. So thank you to that young woman. read more

This complaint is directed towards the Manager on duty for not helping in preventing a possible accident waiting to happen. A cement cap to a lighting duct was missing on the sidewalk in front of their store, I walked in to notify the manager( I don't know her name but she has brownish blonde hair) and I showed her the hole in the ground she looked at me and said call the city which I did and she started to walk away , I quickly asked her if she had any cones or something to put in front of the hole so no one will hurt themselves and she said um I don't know ill check , but she never did she acted like I was taking up her precious time. I waited their until the issue was resolved thanks to the city of ceres who took care of everything . I won't be shopping at that cvs anymore . I believe that a manager truly represent s the face of a company and she should be talked to about her lack of concern and human compassion for the customers and non customers walking in front of her store. read more

First off the store is fine. I've never had any issues until I dealt with the pharmacy. There are three incidents that I'll mention. First time I had trouble was when my doc faxed in a prescription and 'supposedly' they never received it. My doctor physically called in after about 5 hours of going back and forth with my doc and the pharmacy clerk. I was pissed off to say the least and in unbearable pain. I didn't even have the energy to mouth off so I let it go and gave them the benefit of a doubt that maybe just this one time it was a mad house in there. The second time I ran into issues was basically the same reason as the first but this time, I had timed my arrival perfectly. I called my doctor and asked her to call in once I was already in the store at the counter. I heard the phone call and waited about 10-15 minutes. Then I went to see if it was in and they received it. I dealt with the same lady who took the phone call and she asked the basic questions then proceeded to tell me that she never received the call. That's when the 'bitch' came out of me. I won't finish the ending with that. The third time was today. Today's incident is what prompted to write this review. First I received a phone call that all of my meds were in, I go there, only to be told that one of my meds weren't going to be available until tomorrow after 5. I asked if they can just transfer my script over to the walmart pharmacy instead. The girl told me that walmart has to fax them over some transfer papers for the pharmacist to ok and that I have to be the one to make it happen. Ok fine I'll do the phone calls because bottom line it is MY meds. Walmart was on the ball, faxed them over the request THREE TIMES. After a few hours of going back and forth I've had ENOUGH. I called the pharmacy and a man answered, which was refreshing because apparently the woman who was on phone duty, that I constantly dealt with, had absolutely no idea wtf was going on. I told him straight up that I'm waiting on the transfer of my meds to a different pharmacy. I have been waiting since 12. It's about 5 hours later. Do you think you can hurry it up now and get it done because all it is-is a simple fax with the pharmacists signature and I don't think that's too difficult or time consuming. Thank you bye. 20 minutes later, I get the phone call from walmart saying my prescription is ready. That place is a zoo full of shit flinging monkeys that wouldn't know the difference between their ass or mouth. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR MEDICATION!!!! read more
