This one is for apparent store manager, Ashley. Please make sure you do not interact with this woman. I am 30 years old and brought my teenage little sister into this store with me earlier to pickup some medications and general necessities. Mind you, apparently, if you happen to bring a teenager into this store with you, you'll be refused the purchase of a bottle of wine with the rest of your items, DESPITE explaining that they're a teenager and clearly underage, and that you have a valid SC driver's license identification showing that you are 30 years old. Not only was this ridiculous in it's own sense having to then go to another store for a bottle of wine after to share with my mother while they're in town visiting, but Ashley was INCREDIBLY rude in her responses and completely denied to even check my ID and understand that it was a teenager shopping with me that day at the store. I've been coming to this CVS for almost 5 years, and on multiple occasions, with my visiting teenage sisters (I have 2 younger teenage sisters). I've never had any problems until today. If I could rate Ashley herself, especially as a so called "manager", I'd give her negative 5 stars. So to all the busy moms out there just trying to run errands and get home to your children, please do NOT stop here, you'll only be left with an extra stop to make after to relax with a nice glass of Cab Sav after your long day. read more

If anyone has read my reviews on other CVS Pharmacies you would know I'm not a big fan at all of CVS stores in general. But alas my insurance forces me to use the pharmacies at a CVS location; probably because CVS owns Aetna now. I really hate not having a choice on where I get my prescription drugs; it's either go to a CVS or mail order from their online Caremark brand. So this CVS location is pretty nice and in a really nice area and shopping center off Long Point in Mt. Pleasant. It's in a location that when I do have to come here I can get a coffee from Starbucks afterwards, or pick up some groceries from Harris Teeter. The pharmacy staff is pretty nice here as well, so is the cashier. My biggest gripe is there is one cashier to take care of a line of customers which can delay checking out. read more

Came here just a little bit before 5 PM today and had an awful experience. Upon walking in, I noticed an employee, Susan, speaking abrasively down to another employee, Courtney. Maybe Susan is the supervisor? Not okay. Decided to just keep shopping, as I was there for some specific things, as well as to exchange a product I'd bought earlier in the day at a different CVS for a different shade (makeup). The exchange transaction went okay with Susan after she checked the prices of both items (which were the same, just a different shade). She didn't scan my previous receipt or the products though, which was interesting. Then I shopped. I decided to buy a duplicate of the same makeup item because of its Carebucks offer, whilst using a coupon that was on my receipt from earlier in the day. When the transaction didn't provide Carebucks, Courtney called Susan over, and Susan proceeds to yell from a few feet away in an irritated voice that the offer is valid only one per customer. That's fine with me, I'll just return the item. Honest mistake! Susan crumples up my old receipt (which proves I bought the first item from a different CVS), and has Courtney finish the refund with a signature. The coupon from the old receipt reprints. At this point, I'm really quite dissatisfied with their service. However, there were two other items I'd planned on looking at, and I just wanted to finish shopping as quickly as possible. I picked up the two items and went to the register where Courtney was. She looks in the cart at the previously bought makeup item and asks if it's been paid for. I look at her and say that Susan probably crumpled up the old receipt. Courtney looks in their trash and finds it, but asks, "Did you buy it from Mark?" I respond, "Ah, I'm not sure, but it was a guy." She asks if the total on the crumpled receipt is what I paid, and I confirm the total. I think she mumbles an apology, but then she comments on the makeup swatches on my hand and says, "You tried all of them huh?" I respond, "Yeah." THEN SHE ASKS ME, "Were they open?" Excuse me?!? Are you implying that I opened makeup back there? I respond, "Yeah, you guys have testers on the bottom of each row (Almay eyeshadows)." She says, "Oh that's cool." How can you speak to a customer like that when you don't even know what's on your sales floor?? And then as I get in my car, I see her walking towards the makeup section-- to see if I'm lying or to educate herself, I'm not sure which. I will NEVER buy from this store again if I see them there. The negativity from Susan is no doubt ruining any customer service quality that could have been nurtured in Courtney, as everyone seemed bitter and rude. read more

Pharmacy is just unreliable. Only one in the immediate area taking our insurance at the moment so we're a bit stuck. Takes a couple of trips to get a script, sometimes three. It's always "about 20 minutes". read more

This is my go-to CVS - even though I live in North Charleston. The staff is super friendly, and the store is always clean. I have never had any trouble with my scripts and have always had great service. I haven' t used it, but I see they have one of those coupon machines, which might be pretty cool. I did have to dock a star since one of the interns (I guess) got an attitude and insisted my script was for the wrong thing (like I don't know what Birth Control I've been taking all this time....), but she isn't there anymore, so they can keep their other 4 stars! read more

The only reason I used CVS today was because of their Sunday hours. I will never use them again! The cashier and pharmacist had major attitudes and DID NOT care what I had to say. I use Longpoint Pharmacy across the parking lot and they are 6 stars!!! Goes to show you the value of locally owned businesses. CVS should be ashamed!!! read more

I'm not sure why so many reviewers are so disparaging of this CVS. I love CVS in general - more so than Walgreens or RiteAid and 200% more than Walmart!!! That said, my neighborhood CVS on Longpoint Road is my rock. Every time I go there, I'm greeted by a friendly associate or the manager (or both). I have always been offered help finding things, though I seldom need it because I know their layout so well. They recently had a "facelift" inside the store and I love the improvements they've made. The pharmacists all know me and greet me accordingly and they always offer advice with respect to my prescriptions, including how to save money. Aside from being a very convenient location for me, I have ALWAYS received great service and attitude from the associates (some people don't have a clue what it's like working retail - it's a B*TCH dealing with rude, impatient customers all day while being on your feet!)... Never have I seen this CVS busy, which makes it really great when you need to grab something and need to be able to get in and out. Staff is always friendly and knows where everything is. They have a good selection and everything is normally in stock. read more

I remember the good old days when you popped into CVS to buy one or two items like cough drops, motion sickness medicine, or condoms. These days consumers fill shopping carts full of junk like cosmetics, household items, cases of soft drinks, and bags of snacks. You will get stuck in line behind one of these consumers. There will be only one cashier working and she's the only employee in the store. The consumer will be trying to use multiple 20% of coupons printed at the bottom of wrinkled receipts while challenging whether the additional discounts on their purchase (because they have a CVS Card) are being applied correctly by the cashier who is trying to figure out the register. Yikes, I just want to buy some aspirin. Best bet at most CVS locations is to use the drive thru to drop off and pick up your prescriptions. Pleasant, this one is my favorite. It always seems better stocked and the employees seem more helpful. No boxes clogging the aisles. It's a convenient in and out. Rarely a line. Went to this location to refill some scripts. I took my bottles in from another pharmacy (Kroger) since I had to transfer them due to not having a Kroger in Charleston. The lady at the counter looked at my bottles and said this isn't Kroger. I said I know I need to transfer them. She looked at me like I was speaking a different language. She then told me that we don't have Kroger here in Charleston. After conferring with another Pharmacy employee she told me that it would take a little longer since they would have to call and verify the scripts. I told her that wasn't a problem and that I would come back later for them. I returned around two hours later and paid for my scripts and went home. When I opened the bag I found I was completely missing one bottle. So I called the pharmacy After pressing a series of buttons going through their automated phone system I finally got a hold of someone in their pharmacy. I explained to them that I was missing a script and did not notice until I got home. (they put all the bottles in one bag that is stapled shut upon receipt) She went on the computer and told me that I did come in and paid for and received my scripts. ( and kind of wanted to argue with me about this) She finally put me on hold and went to check around. After a short time on hold another pharmacy employee got on the phone and apologized to me and told me that the bottle was still there and she forgot to put it in the bag. I told her that I would be in, in the next couple days to pick it up. Today I went in to pick up this bottle which they couldn't find and knew nothing about. So the employee went into the system and asked me which one it was. I told her and she said "give me a minute and I'll get this filled for you" After a very short time she called my name and apologized for the mishap. All is good ... or is it???? The fact is NO. When I opened the bottle I noticed the pill looked different. I proceeded to look up the pill that was in my hand .... IT'S THE WRONG F*CKING PILL! The bottle says the correct drug ... what's in it is the wrong thing. THIS COULD BE A DEADLY MISTAKE! How many times can one place mess up my order???? read more

Bad experiences here. First my vet called in a specific Rx and they gave me the wrong medicine. Thankfully I'd remembered the name and called vet back before I gave to my cat! Apparently they told vet that the medicine didn't exist and about an hour later I was picking up the correct medicine at Sweet grass pharmacy. Next time I was getting my personal rx, called in by my doctor. I'd received about four robo calls a day from pharmacy daily that just had clip of generic statement. When i go to get rx they can't find me in system and after about ten minutes I just left. Too much hassle for me. read more

I cannot say enough about how fabulous the staff at the Long Point Road CVS is. I am a mom, a daughter, a wife and work outside the home and have found their staff to go over and beyond to care for me and my family. I adore their attention to detail (even though they are always busy), they treat me as an individual with concerns and a real life - I am not just a random customer. I want to thank them for being incredibly professional when circumstances are out of our control or when I have needed extra attention they have given it. I wish I could name all their names, but I don't really need to. They have an excellent pharmacy staff and I could hug each of their necks for their hard work, knowledge and friendliness. Many times I have approached their counter with an insurance issue or a very sick mother, or I may be stressed and anxious, but they continue to treat me with kindness and care and just wanted to make sure it was exclaimed that they make a difference every day and I would like them to know just how much I appreciate them for it. :) I know it's a large chain, but this pharmacy is definitely taking care of their community as God calls us all to do.
