The service here is phenomenal. From the moment I walked in Francis was amazing and super helpful. Recommended the Lattes Favorite cookie with Oat and it was a great pick me up for an early morning. Ambience is great, super chill even though they were extremely busy...super hard to find parking that we just ended up parking on the street (free). We were a tad hungry by the time our food came out so we failed to take pictures lol. But the Cali bowl was by far our favorite out of 4 that we tried. The next best was the bodega classic with chorizo and the other bodega classic with bacon was just as good. Finally we had the diner club which was your regular club sandwich. Good move as we ordered two delicious sammies, the Club and the Chopped Cheese. Yes, they look messy in my images, but building and layering a great sandwich means messy. The service situation is drastically different; no servers to take the order now, rather counter service with the trusty 'order number stanchion' placed on the table you select so the food runner can find you. We rounded out the sandwiches with a bag of chips and a couple of beverages; the order total was right around $40-ish. We each ended up taking half our sandwiches home with us because they were so big. Been here a couple of times and I've enjoyed my meal each time. This place is a very laid back spot. You come inside, and there's plenty of seating outside and seating indoors. You order at the counter, grab spot, and they'll bring it out to you. The portion sizes of the meals are big and plenty. Trust me, you'll be full. Couldn't finish my meal. They also serve beer wine and other Knick knacks. Looks to have a nice lunch menu, but I come back for the breakfast bowls. This was my first time going to this Bodega location. The parking is pretty tight here on a Saturday morning but we were able to find something. I ordered the fat cow Sammy and the apple cider donut chai and it was delicious! My hubby got the pb&j latte and the cbb sandwich. He liked the sandwich but found the latte a bit strange. I've been to the downtown location before but tried the mount pleasant location this morning! The bowls are delicious and have so much food. A lot of bang for your buck. I love their strawberry matcha and specialty lattes, but they are more of a sweet treat than a beverage so be sure to take that into account. I'm not sure how we've missed this place! Had some errands to run so went to Yelp to find a Mt Pleasant breakfast place. I always search the menu to make sure there's something my wife will like. Being fun NYC she's always in on a breakfast sandwich. We got there and it is a cool, order at the counter vibe. She went with "The Cow" which was modified from double bacon to bacon and sausage and had the hash browns on it, true New York style! She described as DELICIOUS, which is not easy. A warm day but the six of us sat out on the large deck in the partial shade of a really big, tall oak tree, around which the deck (in part) was built. An attentive server got our drinks and gave us our requested time to review the menu, and checked back regularly. A star of a waitress! I had the unusually named sandwich (they say it's a "sammy") "The Cow" shown in my photo. It was delicious but it had ketchup and a hot sauce, which when combined together, was quite tasty but a bit sweet. I would be remiss if I didn't warn you that it really was messy/slimy such that you would go through a couple of napkins, or at least I did. The menu made it sound quite tasty as it described it as double bacon, egg, white American cheese, home fries, ketchup and hot sauce. It was a bit unusual in that the home fries, were small cuts of potato which had been cooked and then placed in the sandwich. Yes, I expected a side of home fries, but that obviously was not the case. I thought about taking a star off due to the overflowing sandwich and the lack of home fries on the side, but it was so delicious overall that I settled on a full 5 star experience. read more

Well, I've never been able to hide my emotions, especially when it comes to food, and the Gropfather just makes me happy. This sandwich is truly delicious. The delicious breaded chicken, the fresh cheese, pesto and spicy nduja sauce all come together so nicely on the tasty ciabatta roll. I liked the sandwich so much, I came back the next day! I have tried this place twice now and it does not disappoint. The sandwiches are on a Kaiser roll and it gives New York bodega to the max. Their coffee creations are a must try! The gravy was good and the egg was cooked perfectly, the sausage was "so so" I also got a chocolate ganache latte and I'll take ownership on this one, it was way too sweet... The fries tasted like old Wendy's fries... we ordered Togo it came out within 5 minutes and the food had clearly been sitting there instead of prepared to order. The sauce on the smash burger is good, but nothing rave about... and that's the only redeeming quality of the burger. It's essentially a McDonalds burger and in this case a lukewarm McDonalds burger. What a cool restaurant that is filled with vibrant colors and a great vibe! We came here for breakfast and they were not too busy. You order first, they give you a number and when your food is ready they bring it to you. The cashier was friendly and helpful! Their menu has a lot of different items to choose from! I went with the bodega platter and I got my eggs scrambled, added cheese, hashbrowns, toast and vegan sausage. I also decided to get hot tea and they have different tea packets to choose from. The food was delicious! They brought me ketchup for my hashbrowns and jelly and butter for my toast! I did not care for the vegan sausage only because it tasted too burnt for me. My husband also got the bodega platter and he chose bacon for his meat and he said his plate was delicious! He also enjoyed his hot tea! The inside has many tables and some booths! It got very busy as soon as we got our food. There is also outdoor seating. A drive thru is offered but it looked closed when we went. They have their own personal parking lot. It made me beyond happy to see the jungle book on a TV, then Scooby-Doo as well as the Jetsons! They have the place decorated just like a bodega!!! The last time I had the Gropfather and it was amazing !!! It is a bit spicy , but I imagine you could ask for less spicy. It has a wonderful Njuda spread ! My daughter in law had the salmon Benedict and my daughter had the Gropmother (vegetarian) everyone was well pleased and full when we left. The only reason for 4 stars is that the floor is VERY SLICK! Even the chairs slide way too easy! Difficult for someone with trouble walking (medical brace). Way to go Bodega staff! As a fan of the downtown Charleston location, I felt this one was better in every way.
