The sandwich menu here is great - some unique southern flavor options while still inspired by the original new york bodega sandwich. They also have some unique latte flavors to go with it. There is seating both inside and out with the interior being air conditioned. The service being where you order at the counter and they bring it to your table.
I've had my eye on this place for a while now and we decided to give it a try. They are located near the Shem creek area of Mt. Pleasant. They do have a drive thru option. We waited for about 15 minutes in line and dined in. I ordered the CBB which is a chicken cutlet sandwich with burrata and bacon. It was missing the tomato aioli which probably would have made it better. I also got the Samoa that latte and it was delicious. My husband got the Cal bowl and ate all of it, he really enjoyed it. Overall it's a hip place with a 90's vibe and the food is good. I will visit again soon.
I visited Bodega quite a long time ago, and it's def changed it good bit since that first visit, all for the better. I swung in here to grab a quick lunch with my mom whilst holiday shopping. Good move as we ordered two delicious sammies, the Club and the Chopped Cheese. Yes, they look messy in my images, but building and layering a great sandwich means messy. The service situation is drastically different; no servers to take the order now, rather counter service with the trusty 'order number stanchion' placed on the table you select so the food runner can find you. We rounded out the sandwiches with a bag of chips and a couple of beverages; the order total was right around $40-ish. We each ended up taking half our sandwiches home with us because they were so big. The single thing we both commented on several times was the freshness of the rolls used in making the sandwiches; first rate.

Haven't explored their coffee options much but they do have quite the variety and flavors. Only downside was that the music was particularly loud on this day. But besides that, a great meal.
This was my first time going to this Bodega location. The parking is pretty tight here on a Saturday morning but we were able to find something. I ordered the fat cow Sammy and the apple cider donut chai and it was delicious! My hubby got the pb&j latte and the cbb sandwich. He liked the sandwich but found the latte a bit strange. I tried some and drank a chunk of peanut butter. I think it would be better if the peanut butter was melted down with the espresso for a smoother sip! Overall great menu as always!
Was looking for a cute place with an outside seating to sit with my dog. Drove by and had to circle back. It's bright and vibrant colors drew me in. I saw a large patio porch seating so I wanted to see what was up. It had a cool drive-thru and even a walk into order window. It gave a very beachy vibe and there was plenty of space for dogs to sit on the patio with water bowls. We ordered at the counter and were met graciously by all staff. We were explaining the menu and we finally made this decision from all the wonderful choices. We went with the chick flick which was noted to be the owner's Grandma's special recipe. I opted a different type of bread so we got the sourdough instead of the New York kaiser roll . The Kaiser will probably would have been great but we didn't do it because of allergies. So they are easy to work with for allergies and dietary restrictions . Decker of course got his pup Cup from staff which was very nice of them. He met a bunch of other customers who are really friendly as well and there was even a permanent jewelry maker outside doing her thing. They had a lot of interesting drink choices to choose from and breakfast items too! The sandwich was huge and enough for two meals. We also got a nice big glass of ice water. Will definitely make a note of this place for breakfast sandwiches to try. Highly recommend!

I'm not sure how we've missed this place! Had some errands to run so went to Yelp to find a Mt Pleasant breakfast place. I always search the menu to make sure there's something my wife will like. Being fun NYC she's always in on a breakfast sandwich. We got there and it is a cool, order at the counter vibe. She went with "The Cow" which was modified from double bacon to bacon and sausage and had the hash browns on it, true New York style! She described as DELICIOUS, which is not easy. The donut was also incredible. I had the salmon toast which was super tasty and the flavored lattes were awesome. Definitely will be back and highly recommend!
Well this is just the hippest place to eat & it was packed inside! They have cool merchandise, so make sure to check it out and maybe pick-up something for a friend! The food was great, the Bloody Mary potato chips not so much. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with candied pecans. It was fantastic! This place has a cool vibe and it was fun to eat at with my friends. The only bad thing was there was a booth behind us with people who were so loud we could barely talk. They kept moving around on the booth causing our booth to constantly shake. Just rude customers here. Restaurant employees were nice. The place was noisy.
The Balance Bowl struck a nice harmony between healthy and satisfying. It featured tender home fries, vibrant spinach, juicy tomatoes, and a hearty scoop of vegan sausage, all brought together with perfectly cooked egg whites and a bright pesto finish.
I grabbed a sammy to go. I got the Arthur Ave and it was really good, a perfect beach lunch. For the drive through order it didn't take too long. A little overpriced. But I added the Calabrian chili relish and holy shizzz i need that on everything!
I've been to the downtown location before but tried the mount pleasant location this morning! The bowls are delicious and have so much food. A lot of bang for your buck. I love their strawberry matcha and specialty lattes, but they are more of a sweet treat than a beverage so be sure to take that into account. The outside area is great and they have heaters for when it's a little chilly! Staff was super nice and food came out quick.

The service here is phenomenal. From the moment I walked in Francis was amazing and super helpful. Recommended the Lattes Favorite cookie with Oat and it was a great pick me up for an early morning. Ambience is great, super chill even though they were extremely busy...super hard to find parking that we just ended up parking on the street (free). We were a tad hungry by the time our food came out so we failed to take pictures lol. But the Cali bowl was by far our favorite out of 4 that we tried. The next best was the bodega classic with chorizo and the other bodega classic with bacon was just as good. Finally we had the diner club which was your regular club sandwich. All in all we would definitely come back! read more
Bodega is a great spot for breakfast in Charleston. My only gripe is having to order at the counter, which feels odd since they still bring the food to your table. Other than that, the food is very good. I highly recommend it for breakfast. read more

I love the vibe here, it's vibrant and colorful while still feeling relaxed and inviting. The service was great- our food came out quickly, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food itself was just okay. It felt like each dish was trying for balance but didn't quite get there. Some items were too sweet, others too salty, and the potatoes seemed to give up entirely and landed on bland. The kind of standout, however, was the classic with bacon which was easily the best item we tried. read more

I tried the CBB dipped in buffalo, which was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor--the buffalo sauce added just the right amount of heat. I also ordered the Diner Club, which was fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying, stacked with quality ingredients that made every bite worth it. The setup is casual as you order at the counter, then they bring the food to your table--and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. There's a variety of cute outdoor seating options along with booths and tables inside, all with a bright, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a while. Love this spot for brunch, grab and go breakfast sandos, or catching up with friends under the big tree. A little pricey but you get a lot for the money- so splitting is an option on food. Fun unique drinks, wines, coffees with a relax and stay awhile vibe. Love the classic breakfast sandwich, cheat day bowl, and gropfather. Would go back, but definitely would not order those sandwiches on ciabatta bread (and I love ciabatta) because they don't butter and toast the bread. It was soooooooooo dry we couldn't eat the bread. Ciabatta needed buttered, pressed on a hot pan to give it that buttery, crunchy, yummy, toasted bread! The server recommended we get them on sourdough or in a wrap next time. She gets them in a wrap and really likes them versus the thick dry ciabatta. Both sandwiches also needed more of the sauces. The Italian dressing was minimal and so was the chipotle aioli. The hit of the day was our drinks. My friend loved her Bloody Mary that's made with pickle juice and I loved my peach margarita!!!! The vibe is hip and has a very colorful fun theme. It was a $75 lunch after 2 drinks, 2 sandwiches, tax and tip. read more
A warm day but the six of us sat out on the large deck in the partial shade of a really big, tall oak tree, around which the deck (in part) was built. An attentive server got our drinks and gave us our requested time to review the menu, and checked back regularly. A star of a waitress! I had the unusually named sandwich (they say it's a "sammy") "The Cow" shown in my photo. It was delicious but it had ketchup and a hot sauce, which when combined together, was quite tasty but a bit sweet. I would be remiss if I didn't warn you that it really was messy/slimy such that you would go through a couple of napkins, or at least I did. The menu made it sound quite tasty as it described it as double bacon, egg, white American cheese, home fries, ketchup and hot sauce. It was a bit unusual in that the home fries, were small cuts of potato which had been cooked and then placed in the sandwich. Yes, I expected a side of home fries, but that obviously was not the case. I thought about taking a star off due to the overflowing sandwich and the lack of home fries on the side, but it was so delicious overall that I settled on a full 5 star experience. read more

Not only was the food a 10/10, but Chef Alec made his way around the guests and spoke with everyone. We were there to celebrate my bachelorette and he offered us a round of mimosas and the most delicious donut holes. He made our experience so memorable and we will be back! read more
A great spot for a bite to eat! I decided to try the drive-through today after seeing this place featured on my social media feeds. The cashier was incredibly helpful, especially since the drive-through menu doesn't list the details of each sandwich and I was unfamiliar with the menu. He was patient and guided me through my choices. I went with the diner club sandwich and an iced strawberry matcha. The strawberry cold foam was delightful, adding a perfect touch of sweetness. However, the matcha itself was a bit more watery than I expected. The sandwich was generously filled with toppings and quite satisfying. After tip and tax, my total came to $26.85, which is a bit on the pricey side, but it's a solid option for a quick meal read more

I have tried this place twice now and it does not disappoint. The sandwiches are on a Kaiser roll and it gives New York bodega to the max. Their coffee creations are a must try! I did the chopped cheese sandwich and it was huge! The inside feels like something out of a 1990s Cartoon. They even have a drive-through but I prefer going inside. It doesn't take very long to get your order and on a nice summer day, they have the windows open so you get a nice breeze, but being in the shade. read more

This place seems like it's gets a lot of hype ... but I wasn't impressed. The service was great, our waitress was amazing and super helpful. I asked what was popular items and she told me the cheat day bowl was popular and really good, so that's what I got. I was super disappointed. The home fries tasted like when you bring home leftover french fries and try to reheat them but they just don't taste right. The gravy was good and the egg was cooked perfectly, the sausage was "so so" I also got a chocolate ganache latte and I'll take ownership on this one, it was way too sweet... I should have known better that it would be. Everything came out super quickly so I appreciate that, and the vibe is really cool but it's not a classic bodega so keep that in mind. read more
What an amazing renovation. This establishment brought back memories... Pre Andos, Blue Mango, even back to the original Hardee's... The vibrant atmosphere draws you in and keeps you coming back for more. Lining the front when you walk in true to its name, like a Bodega... Packages of Saltines, Kraft, cereal, Coke... you name it-- the staples! Plus, Merch! Booths of cartoons and colorful graffiti greet your inner child... The bill even comes in a DVD clamshell The drinks are fun, delicious and can't beat Happy Hour where even their GIANT drinks are half off! Oh yeah... We did snag an over-stuffed Sammie while we were there. Gluten Free Bread (Udi's), add bacon to the Italian and drink in the perfection in every bite. Can't wait to return and bring friends. We already loved the Bodega downtown but now there's a Mount Pleasant location. Just as good as the previous one, same great menu and service! Love the specialty and rotating latte options! I always get the Classic Sandwich with GF bread. Love there is an option for GF with sandwiches and pancakes! There is indoor seating and huge outdoor patio, with good parking options! Perfect brunch atmosphere! read more

This place is very good. We went for an early lunch and the food was quick and delicious. The service was nice and the place was really clean. It's a chill little spot. I got the local beer and my wife got the Bloody Mary. Both were amazing. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely go again. read more

When we're in Charleston, we always hit up Bodega for Breakfast & Lunch Sammies. The "Lowcountry" is my favorite for Breakfast and the "Gropfather" & "CBB" are my favorite Lunch Sammies. They are all so awesome. We all love everything we eat there! read more
