Came in around 3:45 am cause I was not feeling good at all, just came to pick up a quick over the counter medicine since this was the only store open near me. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a nice man who asked me if I needed help, then took me exactly where I needed instantly, and checked up on me to make sure I was finding everything alright but wasn't overbearing like you might expect an employee who only has one customer in the entire store. I am a regular at this particular CVS. The employees here are always helpful and coupon friendly. When I say coupon friendly, I mean they welcome even the serious couponer without irritation and prove to be helpful. I have never filled prescriptions here so I cannot comment on the pharmacy. Sunday, I requested two separate transactions. The employee, obviously new, completed my first transaction and begin scanning my coupon and ECBs. He first tells me that one of my ECB has already been redeemed. I told him if that was true, CVS would have taken it like they do any coupon. He continued to struggle with it and even struggled with entering the amount I paid. The phone rung indicating a call for photo. He took the call while dealing with my payment (only 90 cents) and put the call on hold to look for the person on the other end's photos. He physically stepped away from my transaction to do this. Once he saw the photos were not ready, he got back on the phone to tell the person this. I was dumbfounded and irritated. Once I finally was able to leave the store, I called to speak with a manager. The manager, Kesha, mentioned she saw me from the office and figured the employee walked off looking for my photos. Once the issue became clear, she assured me she would talk to him. Although this incident was not a good start to my day, Kesha giving me her word it would be address lightened it. This manager has checked me out at the register previously and is always friendly. Actually, every employee is friendly at this location. Just they do not have the new person properly trained. This will still be my favorite CVS. read more

Sign states FULL SERVICE available in BOTH LANES. This is not true. They do not seem concerned about it and show signs of taping as if there once was paper signs or cover ups. Regardless, it's misleading and can cause frustration after a few cars get behind you. You can go from a perceived 1st or 2nd to last quickly unless you're willing to go in, which is also frustrating. Then I finally get to the window and they don't have it ready for pick up. I was told 1 hour from 12:50pm and it's 3:50pm. Do not visit this pharmacy location unless you like this level of service. read more

This CVS is always busy and never seems to increase staff to compensate at the pharmacy. Either they don't care or the management is not aware of simple supply flow peek periods. Either way, be prepared to wait in line for a great period of time. Don't bother calling either, they just keep you on hold, then conveniently the line goes stagnant and you are hung up on. I had a manufacturer's coupon for a significant discount on a prescription drug. The pharmacist said the coupon was rejected because my birthday was wrong on the coupon. It wasn't. The coupon plainly said if the patient wasn't on Medicare Part D, which I am not, then enter this code. But the pharmacists (plural) couldn't be bothered. So I went to Tom Thumb and they entered the discount code and I got my prescription for $25.00 instead of $48.00. I guess this is how CVS makes its money. read more

Pharmacist made an error in ringing up my prescription and two additional over-the-counter medications. When I realized this while walking out, I returned to the pharmacy. I wasn't given a receipt so I had nothing to show him. He and the manager said the receipt would have been emailed to me. I didn't get the email until 30 minutes after I left. There was nothing I could do without the receipt even though I hadn't left the store. The manager was very discourteous and curt and proceeded to help someone else before finishing with me. The pharmacist took a phone call while I continued to wait. I finally left without the product or a refund because no one was taking care of the situation. I won't be back. read more

The short version of my review is that staff here is rude, extremely curt, and incompetent. I would give them zero stars if I could. Maybe negative even.. Horrible customer service. Most upsetting is that unbeknownst to me they never put in the Rx insurance info I gave and have been overcharging me the whole time. I will be transferring my son's Rx to the Walgreens across the street! It all started when the automated refill system told me that it was too soon to refill a prescription. I called to talk to a staff member about when the refill date was. I tried twice and both times I was on hold for 3-5 mins, someone would finally pick up and say "Hi how can I help you" and then immediately put me back on hold before I could respond. Idk if they were trying to buy more time or if their phones are wacky, but it was pretty annoying. First time I gave up after another few min wait. Second time I tried I set the phone down on speaker and waited it out for probably an extra 10 mins after the fake pick up. When some guy finally answered, I started to say what the problem was. Something like "I wanted to refill a prescription, but..." All he heard was that I was trying to refill an Rx before he quickly said ok and transferred me back to the automation system. I was in the middle my sentence and he talked over me then just hung up! So I called a third time and rephrased so I wouldn't get hung up on again before finishing my thought. The guy's English was not very good and so he just sat there for awhile and said "So do you have new insurance to give me or what? I don't understand what your problem is." I had to repeat myself a couple times for him to get it, at which point he told me the refill date and that there was nothing to help me get it the refilled before our vacation. I worked it out with the Dr later, but am sour about the super poor customer service here. I shouldn't have had to call four times! Worst of all, after calling insurance to deal with the above issue they had no record of the prescription. The insurance rep called CVS and found out that they never processed my insurance info even though I gave them with my Optum Rx card at pick up. Wtf? Turns out I'm supposed to have zero copay and they've been charging me. They have just been too lazy to put it into the computer or are trying to skip dealing with insurance claims and get paid now. After the first visit when I gave them all my info I never thought to double check them.. This place is a joke. read more

On a bright note I did get to meet lots of cool people who were waiting with me. We would watch people as they came in and chuckled at the looks of hope on their faces. We found ourselves quietly betting on how long it would take before they reserved themselves to the futility of their fate. I wish I could have uploaded videos but it seems even the internet slows down at this location. In all seriousness. If they tell you that they are going to do something, verify that they did it prior to showing up. If they tell you it will be ready at a certain time, verify before driving down, verify twice if possible. 24 hours a day!!! Remember that about this CVS pharmacy and I believe you'll have a positive experience. During my last visit at CVS in Wylie I spoke with the pharmacist about the troubles I have filling my medicine. He told me that since they are a 24 hour pharmacy they tend to carry a larger selection of medications than the pharmacies that are not open around the clock. The pharmacy staff is great. They are very friendly and approachable. They seemed very happy to have my business and did a great job filling my prescription while I waited. My prescription was ready when promised and I was headed back home before I knew it. The store itself is a nice store. The staff greeted me at the door. I have noticed that more and more CVS stores do this now and I think it is great. The grocery selection is good enough that if you need to run in a grab a few essentials you could get what you needed and be out the door in just a few minutes. As far as cosmetics are concerned I am far from being an expert, but a good portion of the store is dedicated to cosmetics so I would assume they could handle your at least your basic needs. One other thing about CVS. They have a rewards system in place where you can get valuable coupons to use on your next visit. I strongly suggest that you find out more about the program and join. I was rushed to the hospital last night (911) and was in dire pain (kidney stones). ER released me at about 3:AM after a few hours with a last shot of pain medicine before leaving. I had 7 prescriptions that needed filled - but needed the pain kills ASAP! The pain med the ER gave me would be worn off in no time. Went to the 24 hour pharmacy here in Wylie and was told the "computers are down". Won't be back up for another hour and a half. I asked where the next CVS was and was told that all the cpus would be down. I was told I could go to Walgreens in Rockwall - with kidney stones, I could not make it out to Rockwall. Why have a 24 hour pharmacy? To serve urgent and last minute requests...emergencies. So what better time to have computers go down. I was in obvious pain and the pharmacist was rather unapologetic. This CVS location has a 24 hour pharmacy. When I was released from the ER at 2:30am with three prescriptions, I was not in the mood to drive across DFW to find an all night pharmacy. Imagine my surprise to see that the CVS in Wylie is a 24 hour shop and takes my prescription plan (Express Scripts). The night shift pharmacist was very friendly and had my prescriptions ready in 15 minutes. The Wylie CVS also has a Minute Clinic onsite for minor illnesses and vaccines. read more

Dangerously incompetent staff members. My wife and I just moved to the area and as such had to transfer prescriptions for my infant son to the pharmacy. We dropped off his prescription this morning around 11am and figured we were good to go. They said they would call us when it was ready. Around 7 PM we had still not received any call and so since we live right down the road I went to check to see if the medicine is ready. Not only was it not ready, but they literally had no records of us in the system... And we had left my infants empty bottle of the prescription with them. Eventually they found it along with other paperwork that had not even been started to get the prescription refill transferred. Since they were able to find the bottle and knew some staff had screwed up, they gave us a 3 dose refill for my son's prescription so he wouldn't be screaming all night. This other staff member apologized and was polite and assured us she would resolve the issue but after this refill I don't really feel safe going back. On another note, while walking to get a snack before checking out, I double checked the expiration date to discover the food has been expired since February 2015... It's the middle of May 2015. Yep. Not going back. I guess we will try the Walgreens literally across the street or maybe Brookshire's pharmacy. read more

For those that don't realize this is the Murphy location, NOT the Wylie one.... THIS CVS pharmacy in Murphy has 9/10 been a quick and pain free process. We have used them for over 5 years and never had a major problem or complaint! With use of the pay and express pay, it makes it even faster to use the drive thru now, which is nice. I had a "rapid results" test done for covid this morning. He told me to go on home and he would call with the results in an hour. That was more than 10 hours ago and never got the call. I tried to call them to find out but get lost in the menu maze. I have tried several phone numbers, been transferred to non working numbers. Finally got a sweet gal who did her best to help me but still came up empty. Looks like I will need to wait days and hope it shows up on their portal. Went today 12-1-17 to redeem the 32% coupon CVS gave me for a loyalty customer. I went and got the item I wanted and went to check out. When the cashier tried to use my coupon it would not accept my coupon. We were both confused, then I saw that the item was buy one-get the second one 50% off. To which, I am told the coupon is not accepted for sale items. I advised the cashier that I was not buying anything on sale. She agreed and tried to give me the discount, which required a manager to approve. The manager came up and told me she would not approve the coupon on my item because I am choosing not to participate in CVS's sale by buying two of and item. So, CVS is forcing me to buy two of one item to get a 25% discount and will not honor the special coupon because of it. I told the manager that I didn't need two of that item and if she did not honor my coupon she just lost a customer. She said that was just fine. The manager did wish me a nice day. Too late, you already ruined my day. CVS it's nice to know that your practices and polices are more important than keeping a customers. read more

I have used this pharmacy two times. The first time, everything went smoothly. No issues whatsoever. The second time, however, was a complete disaster. I called over the phone to get 2 prescriptions filled. One being insulin for my type 1 diabetes, the other being an antidepressant - Wellbutrin XL 300mg. They said that my insulin was out of refills and that they would not refill it. I knew that I was out of refills for humalog quick pens but not humalog vials. I tried telling them this, but I don't think she understood English very well. I just decided to let it go, pick up my antidepressants, and just transfer my prescriptions to another CVS the next day so that I could speak to someone with some measure of competence about my insulin. Then, 20 minutes later, they called, left a message, and said this: "I was just calling about a prescription that you wanted to see if we had it at our store. It looks like the dose is a little too high so we have to speak to your doctor before we dispense this medication. So unfortunately we're not gonna have it ready tonight. Speak to your doctor tomorrow and then we'll be ready. I mean, but, depending on what your doctor decides, somebody will give you a call to let you know if you can come pick up the medication like that or if we have to adjust it or the way it is. If you have any questions give us a call 972-235-8417. Have a great day." Apparently they thought that there was something wrong with my 300 mg dosage of Wellbutrin XL? I have been taking this medication for over 8 years. I have never had to change the dosage. I was a little irritated and confused at this point, but I resigned myself to waiting until tomorrow and possibly calling my doctor to see what was going on. Then, not even 5 minutes later, I received another phone call from CVS. This time, she said that it was all just a mix up and that I can come pick up BOTH of my prescriptions right away. I was thinking to myself: WHAT THE HECK IS EVEN GOING ON RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? At this point, I just wanted this customer service nightmare to end, and I was just relieved to be getting both of my prescriptions. So, I headed over to the pharmacy to grab my medications. THEN when I got to CVS they told me that I would only be receiving ONE medication. Not the two medications that they promised me over the phone. I was just like, WHATEVER, just give me the medicine and let me go home. They ended up giving me the humalog quick pens. I didn't have any refills left on my humalog quick pens. They refilled one of my medications with ZERO refills left. Isn't that illegal or something? So. I guess I ended up with 0 of the medications that I had originally asked for. The incompetence of these people is just jaw-dropping, and extremely dangerous for whoever is using them for their pharmaceutical needs. Someone needs to change or train the staff at this location before they end up killing someone. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a pharmacy EVER. I will NEVER use this location again. You shouldn't use it either. read more

Waited for over 10 minutes for a "manager to print my receipt" bc the girl in the drive thru didn't staple it to my prescription or clip it to the clipboard causing it to fly away when she opened the drawer. This place is ridiculous! I have never even written a bad review but oh my goodness... I waited 28 minutes on hold to be told my daughters med would be available in 2 hours. I got there and med is on back order after I was told to pick it up! (What??!) Then, no lie they proceeded to give me an unauthorized script that my Dr had said to discontinue. I am a nice person in general but I was literally livid and cursing. My kid had no med and I had to drive back to get the correct meds for myself. No one ever does anything about the ridiculousness of this location. They literally are over worked and clueless. I will never be back. Wylie CVS is the worst. This CVS Pharmacy has the worst customer service that I've ever had in my life. I called in to refill and they were so rude and mean to respond to me because I have transferred most of my prescriptions to another CVS Pharmacy (inside Target). I called the new CVS Pharmacy inside Target and Vickie was so helpful and friendly to understand my needs and sent a request to my doctor for me. Even they both are the same CVS system, the staff will make a big difference in your life, especially when you are really sick and unable to talk clearly or get out of the bed. I don't have prescription insurance, so, I use GoodRx. I had a prescription filled at CVS on 544 in Wylie. I had my GoodRx coupon for $33.00 but CVS would not honor it and charged me $53.00 for my antibiotics. I will not go back there. read more

Still waiting on my prescription to be filled. I went in on Friday, and they said they needed to contact my doctor since I was out of refills. It's now Thursday (4 business days later), and they contacted me saying my doctor didn't show that I was a patient of theirs. Turns out they were contacting the wrong doctor!!
