CVS is dotted around the City and so I went to this location in K Town. It is very big but signs are there to guide one cleat. I was looking for nail polish which I found. Everything has become expensive now but I took one from Sally Hansen that was a top and base clear polish and two polishes of color. I had a coupon which I used when paying the bill. The one thing that I like about shopping in CVS are the coupons. On almost every visit I can either use a coupon or get some for the next visit. Here the cashier was also efficient. read more

Nicole the torta from store 2457 was working Friday May 22nd during the evening. I'm an off duty corporate employee from 1 CVS and we were waiting for a staff member to unlock the oral care case and she gave us a nasty attitude saying it's already in the front and was super aggressive about unlocking the display, acting like the average consumer knows what products are in stock behind the front register in a tourist destination. She needs to learn her heart at work values and be retrained on the consumer experience. Please consider adding these extra courses to her learninghub modules. read more

The CVS itself is small and nothing out of the ordinary, but the staff was so helpful and cheery I had to write a review. The woman near the door told me about flu shots after she greeted me, and about four people tried to help me find what I needed. One star reviews. Five star reviews. What's up with this CVS? I think I may know why people either love or hate this particular CVS. But first I'd like to thank the evening manager Patrick. If you ever need someone professional, smart & nice - he is the guy to speak to. It's always a nice surprise to find someone who is really good at their job like he is. The staff earlier in the day - that's a completely different story & I can understand the one star reviews - one reviewer said they were "bitchy" and "sour" - hmm I can think of some other words... You have to remember, people often go to a pharmacy because they are suffering from some chronic medical issue, sick or feeling ill. So it is super important to be nice in this scenario. True for hospitals too by the way! Also - Located in Korea town (and open 24 hours) this CVS should carry more products catering to the neighborhood, IMO. Product selection is good but there are CVS locations with better stuff. Very convenient location though. read more

CVS Putting Customers at Risk Again In these trying COVID times, they sent me a text that they cannot fill an essential medication for almost a week. The medication was not in stock there was a number to call to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy if they had the medication. In keeping with the above, it has been impossible to reach the pharmacy for over 3 hours between 10 am and 1 pm on Sat June 6. They have set the phone to say the pharmacy cannot be reached, try later. This AFTER, you have navigated the entire menu. This means if I want to fix this problem, I must physically travel from my home in Queens to Manhattan to speak with them. Not ok. Once again - CVS forces a customer into COVID sensitive situations because they are either too lazy to pick up the phone or too cheap to staff the pharmacy adequately. Corporate should be ashamed - putting customers at risk - again! Otherwise, overall it is ok. I do not get the feeling the pharmacists have a caring, customer-focused mindset that makes you want to become a repeat customer. They are lucky to have at least one person who dispenses the medications that is consistently courteous and friendly. The pharmacists themselves, however, don't seem to show much empathy or caring about their customers. Maybe it just takes effort they feel they are too overworked to give, but being pleasant, proactive, and trying to solve for a customer's situation beyond just filling the script is what makes loyal customers. Picking up the phone to fix a problem, the pharmacist in part created - no stock, would be a good start. read more

You're rude condescending tone sure isn't helping business. When I came in to return a shampoo and conditioner (which I found at Duane Reade at a much lower price), you seemed to imply that I was trying to return an item not on my receipt. Well, it says right there that it is. What? The guy who rang me up at the other store just scanned the shampoo twice? Well obviously he thought they were the same item. Are you asking me WHY he rang it up like that? Well shit if I know, maybe it's because CVS hires incompetent people such as yourself. Hope Ms Kim, the store manager Gets to read this. Went to get passport pic, Robin helped me, I had to instruct her to put the camera at eye level since the first pic was taken from below. 5 min later she tells me I need to wait 5 min so the ink could be changed on the machine. 20 min pass and no pics and no one is working on changing the ink. Called Robin and asked, she said only one person knew how to do it and they were prioritizing that person as a cashier attending all the people who arrived after me. I said "if you don't want my business let me know" The girl charged one more customer and went to change the ink. I asked how long Ashley says 5 min. 10 min later I asked again how long and Asheley tells me 5 min. This is the third time they say 5 min and by now I know it will be more. I had to leave , waited 40 min and went empty handed. I understand they are busy but am frustrated with not being honest with timing to do things and lack of knowledge . read more

I hate going into any store where the staff is rude. It's my biggest pet peeve. I came in to quickly grab a tube of mascara, using an American Express gift card. The cashier, who barely spoke English, rung it up as a CVS gift card, then told me that my card was defective. I let her know that I had just used the card 5 minutes ago at another store & there was no problem. Since she couldn't articulate what exactly the problem was, she prints out the error message from the transaction onto a receipt & slides it over to me. The receipt clearly says "your CVS gift card cannot be processed." I repeat, "This isn't a CVS gift card. I ran it as credit at the last store & it worked fine. Let me do that." She says no & proceeds to argue with me until I give up & use another card. As you can probably tell, I'm pretty annoyed with the service I received today. There are tons of other CVS locations in the city that are cleaner & have much more competent staff. I won't be coming back to this one. read more

I attempted to get a prescription filled at the pharmacy and it was probably the worst experience I've had at any pharmacy. The first pharmacist apparently couldn't read a prescription and told me my doctor, an experienced pain specialist, didn't write it correctly because it didn't say "3 times a day" on 2 separate areas. I don't understand prescription writing jargon so believed him. He also said he tried calling my doctor and they were closed...at 3 pm. I've been going to that doctor's office for a long time and know somebody answers the phone until 5 pm. I would normally just walk out and go somewhere else, but this prescription was for a painkiller that for some reason many Duane Reades and a few independent pharmacies I'd been to in the area didn't have in stock, but this CVS did. So I went back to my doctor's office where they of course told me that it was in fact written correctly. A helpful NP tried calling CVS, then finally came back and told me the pharmacist was "being impossible and she was tired of fighting with them" so she rewrote the prescription the way CVS requested. This is now an hour later, two hours after I started trying to fill my prescription. I went back to CVS after stopping at a few more Duane Reades on the way with no luck, yet the same pharmacist was now gone. A rude, unprofessional pharmacist named Andrea didn't understand what I had told her about my doctor's office being on the phone with them 30 minutes ago. She just said that the NP's name who rewrote my prescription was not listed on their computer so they could not fill my prescription. Yep. They made me leave, go back to my doctor's office, get a new prescription which an NP rewrote for me as my doctor had already left, and now CVS wouldn't fill it because they couldn't find the NP's name on their computer...I've never had this problem anywhere before and was beyond angry. To make matters worse, Andrea had taken my prescription and not told me she wouldn't fill it for about 30 minutes. She just didn't care at all that CVS was not filling it for a problem they themselves caused and now wasting my time while I could be trying to go elsewhere. Either that or she didn't want to fill it, which I would think is illegal. My name was in their system as I've used CVS before, just not recently. Did I need to show her how half my head was shaved and all the scars from my recent surgery for her to believe I legitimately needed my prescription? There was nothing wrong with the way it was written. I went home to Queens and after visiting two Rite Aids, found one who had it in stock! I wanted to hug the pharmacist she was so kind. I don't think I can even look at a CVS sign again, much less walk inside one. Rite Aid or Duane Reade only. That's how bad it was. read more

I had just come from the doctor and had to fill a prescription. I stopped in at a nearby Duane Reade which did not have my medication in stock. They said they were one of the smaller pharmacies and referred me to go to a few other locations where I would have better luck in filling my prescription. I found CVS and decided to give it a try after striking out at Duane Reade. I waited 10 whole minutes while the pharmacist on rotation, Leighia Willis, talked to her man friend about setting up a dinner date at a Mexican restaurant. When she finally gave me the time of day, she so rudely made a comment about how it was so strange the other pharmacy did not have my meds in stock. I sure felt welcome! I almost thought CVS did not want new business, as I have never been to this location before to fill a prescription. There was a long line and crowd of people at the consultation counter which made it difficult for me to even fill out my information for the pharmacist. Once again with another rude remark, Dr. Willis said, "You must of heard me say that it's a long wait. Are you gonna wait around?" No, I did not hear her and no I was not going to wait around. I returned the next day to pick up my drugs. The pharmacy is open until 8 pm. You'll get your drugs but you won't get any warm or welcoming service. The rest of the store is decent. They have most of everything from six dollar lipstick to shampoos and bags of leftover Halloween candy. read more

Words cannot express how much I absolutely love CVS and their rewards program. It is by FAR my favorite chain drugstore because you actually get instant savings for products you buy all the time. This CVS is conveniently located by Koreatown and near a couple of Duane Reades actually. I tend to make the trip to 5th avenue if I have any drugstore needs. When you first walk into this particular location there is a coupon machine. All you have to do is simply scan your CVS rewards card and a ton of coupons are instantly printed out for you to use. Everything from food to beauty items can be found in this CVS. It's not one of the biggest stores I've been to, but they have practically everything you need. There are also plenty of self-service check-outs to make your trip quick and painless. read more

better than most other CVS pharmacies i have been to. again, it comes down to the pharmacy staff. in this case, they are good and competent. they know me by name. they know my prescriptions. i won't go into grumbling detail about how their automated prescription notification system sucks balls (read about that in my review of the CVS on lincoln boulevard in santa monica if you are bored). i will tell you that for a corporate publicly-traded institution, it is insane how if the pharmacy owes you a balance on some prescriptions (in this case, it was 200 one touch diabetes test strips they owed me on a total of 300--they filled 100 and had to order the other 200), they cannot simply transfer the prescription to another CVS if you have already paid. what this amounts to is a goddamn accounting issue. store X doesn't want to have store Y fill it because it will cause inventory/accounting headaches. never mind that i moved from NYC to LA, so the only way of getting the balance of my strips is to go back to NYC. or have my buddy pick up the strips and then illegally ship them to me across state lines (in this case it's just diabetes test strips, but let's say it was, say, oxycontin). really fucking stupid policy. read more

Picked up an rx here and was almost got home before I opened the rx bag and realized it was a bowel prep (BTW -- NOT MINE!!!). They got my rx mixed up with another person's which I'm sure is no good for lots of reasons (not to mention HIPPA). I went back and the pharmacist chastised the assistant an uncomfortable amount while I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for him to figure out the cash register. Anyway, this CVS in Manhattan is ran by staff that do not have costumer service skills. You ask for help and the employees think the costumers want their autograph. The other night, I didn't want to use the self-service checkout stand. So I stood behind the cash register, assuming that if there's somebody behind that area, they'd help me. But then they just shoo-ed me away. I was told to pay my merchandise at the self-serve area. So I'm with Vanessa T. on this store. I totally agree with the rudeness factor of this place. I think stores like these should have a kiosk wherein you can grade the costumer service skills of their employees immediately, and make that as warning to their stockholders, to give that store a chance to improve, or risk losing its investors. read more

I have had plenty of negative experiences at this branch, and today pretty much took the cake. My doctor had called several prescriptions in for me, one of which was to help me with a massive migraine, which is light and sound sensitive. The person I spoke with was Jeff (or so he said - who knows, really?). He claimed they JUST got the prescriptions, but they had been called in around an hour earlier. I understand they can get really busy - so that was not the real issue. The greater issue was his absolutely rude attitude. I was trying to explain to him that I need to pick up all of the prescriptions at once because I have a young child who I need to return home to immediately after work. I had been waiting to take my lunch break in order to pick up my meds. and wanted to pick them ALL up at the same time because I couldn't afford to come back after work. He kept cutting me off and saying he could fill that ONE prescription, and I kept on trying to express the importance of picking everything up at the same time. I kept trying to ask him to hold off so that I could explain that I needed all of the prescriptions filled at the same time. I don't understand why people who are dealing with the infirmed or elderly or just people in general, especially in a pharmacy, have to be rude or impatient. This is unacceptable. He needs to find a different job. He should not be in a position to deal with clients. read more

First review in five years? Let me fix that. Today, I had to urgently get some pictures printed out. I went into this CVS, but their photo services are unavailable. Eric, the manager, told me that my pictures won't be available for me for another 2 days. But, he was able to get them to me today. I am so grateful for this. This place is open 24 hours. It is extremely convenient. The self-check out is quick and less buggy than other CVS branches. It would be great if this particular branch could get some renovations as it does have a large customer base. This branch has a large selection of items. It would also be nice to have a larger assortment and inventory of beer. read more

When you enter you are greeted and if you need help finding something one of the many CVS workers are ready to help . A mix of folks who work in the area and plenty of tourist are roaming around the well stocked SHELVES going aisle too aisle including me looking for some cheap paper towels and a few other goodies . Listen you can't knock the euro tourist who prefers to pay 80 percent less for a can of beer or a bag of chips over the hotel prices . CHECKOUT is fast via self service which is credit or debit card only or the short line to reach a CVS cashier .overall if it's on sale it's worth buying even if you don't need it right away cause sooner or later you will . read more

I'd give a negative-10 star review if I could. I came in to buy some items with coupons I got in my newspaper inserts and in the CVS app. I used the self-check out as I usually do. When I scanned my paper $6 coupon the register popped up a message and needed to be seen by an employee. This nightmare employee "Justin" tapped through the screen and tapped "Finish and Pay" and then "Credit" for payment option, even though I clearly had more items to scan. Whatever, I tapped "Back to Scan" to continue. When I finished scanning all my items and tapped "Finish and Pay," my digital $6 coupons showed up too, but the same message appeared. Usually the employee that helps me just taps through the screen to remove the message so I can tap "Finish and Pay." Not this charming employee. He decides to tap through to payment option as "Credit." Fine, whatever, I was paying with a gift card so I clicked "Back" and tapped "Credit/Debit or Gift Card." Then I hear him say behind me "It's the same thing, sir" with quite an attitude. I look back my shoulder in disbelief but he was helping another customer. Whatever, he's an idiot. I swipe my gift card and the computer freezes at "Processing Payment..." I look back at "Justin" and he looks at me with the most apathetic look and shrugs at me like he doesn't give a sh*t. I wait like a minute until I call him over. He then gives me more attitude and tells me it is MY FAULT that the computer froze because I tapped "Back" twice and tapped "Credit/debit Gift Card." I tell him I'm not paying with a credit or debit card so tapping "Credit" doesn't make sense. He tells me "It's the same thing" again. If it's the same thing then why would there be two payment options, I wonder? Then I tell him "I'm not sure why you are giving me attitude, it's pretty rude." He just decides to ignore me and force restart the entire computer. No apology of any kind, ok. I go to a self check-out that's unoccupied and I tell this idiot I placed my coupon inside the machine so to please take them out. He ignores me again and taps through the screen to give me a $10 store coupon manually. I tell him it was not $10 it was $12 of coupon total, and asked him "What is wrong with you?" He ignores me again, taps away again and oh look at that, he gets an error message, but he WALKS AWAY even though the screen is screaming "Please wait, help is on the way." He goes back to his little spot looking over the self check-out machines and I point to the screen. With that same apathetic look he comes back and although he could have just suspended the transaction, he decides it's a good idea to force restart this computer too and tells me to go to the cash register where someone can do it for me. Fine, I no longer need to deal with this rude imbecile, BUT I WAS WRONG. The guy at the cash register, bless his soul, was very nice and I tell him I had a $12 coupon for my items. He checks my ExtraCare card in his computer and he confirms that I do. All is well, except he was not able to manually input both $6 coupons. I told him my paper coupon is inside the box at the self check-out. He calls over the nightmare "Justin" to open the box to get the coupon out. "Justin" decides to only tell him what my total was. Then the nice cashier only deducts $3 out since idiot "Justin" lied to him what my total was. Not on my f*cking watch, "Justin." I told the nice cash register this total is incorrect and told him I didn't understand why "Justin" can't just take out the paper coupon like every other proper employee has done when things like this has happened before. The nice cashier got annoyed at "Justin" and told him to get the paper coupon out. FINALLY "Justin" decides to do his JOB and gets out the coupon, but since he's an IDIOT he got out all the coupons that were in the box; I'm guessing he couldn't remember in his tiny brain which coupon was mine. I told the nice cashier which one is my coupon, he scanned my ExtraCare card, all my items, then my coupon, then my digital coupon went through, and everything went smoothly JUST AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRST PLACE. How hard was that, "Justin"? I guess too hard for him to understand that giving attitude to your customers IS NOT WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE BASICS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, GO HOME, HAVE SOME INTROSPECTION AND DO SOME SELF-REFLECTION, AND FIND A JOB WHERE YOU WILL NEVER DISRESPECT ANOTHER CUSTOMER AGAIN WITH YOUR SH*TTY ATTITUDE. I paid with my credit card at the end because I was fed up. I'm pretty sure some funds were deducted from my gift card from the first transaction; I'm not even sure. I've been taking the same prescription for years. This prescription has always been free. In NY State, this prescription is ALWAYS supposed to be free under NY Law. In January 2017, my health insurance changed with my new employer. After receiving notification that my prescription was filled, I went to this same CVS pharmacy to retrieve it when notified the medication refill was ready. To my surprise, they told me this prescription was going to cost $80.99!!! ALMOST $1000 A YEAR!? There is absolutely no way I could afford this, and found it absolutely ridiculous considering I pay (a lot) monthly for health insurance. After researching online, I learned that cost for prescriptions does not just vary by the drug, but it CAN VARY BY EACH SPECIFIC PHARMACY. I called another pharmacy that was a few miles away, and was told at their location it would cost $27!!! After researching further, I found that I could purchase the same prescription online for $9!! Needless to say, I will NEVER shop at this Pharmacy, or this CVS again as they tried to enormously and unforgivably rip me off. Takeaway--- before purchasing from this Pharmacy (or any for that matter), call others to price compare! read more

Currently here picking up a prescription that my doctor called in. Spoke to a male pharmacist and he was really confusing. I barely couldn't understand what he was saying. He basically was mumbling his words. Then on top of that he ewww discussing my prescription loudly and the store is full of people! Are you serious??? What ever happened to patient privacy?!?! I used to work right next door & I've been coming here for years. I love this CVS. The staff is always friendly & helpful. The pharmacy is top notch, never had any issues. The one thing I do have an issue with- this goes for any CVS- privacy at the pharmacy. I shouldn't have to speak my personal information in earshot of everyone breathing down my neck behind me in line. This happened today and I tried to whisper to the pharmacy tech, but of course he couldn't hear me. There has to be a solution to this.
