Very rude and un-cooperative pharmacy staff. My providers phone was not pickup even trying multiple times to place my prescription , she also left voicemail but there was no call back nor any medicine was prepared. When I went to pick the counter staff was very rude, said there is no voice mail. I showed the my prediction and doctors contact saying that they tried to contact, no one would pick up the phone. The voice mail Was left but no medicine was prepared. I asked if they could all my doctor she said she doesn't, I called the doctors office so that they could speak to the staff at the pharmacy, she refused. Asked if there is another number, my provider could call , she said there is no other nunmber. Showed here the prescription but she staff refused to take the prescription. This happened when I went to collect my prescription after my oral surgery, asked for the manager, she told me I would receive text if the order has been placed, that it. Horrible experience. I had contacted them to ask them to hold the medication and not send it back because I was out of town. I then prepaid and when I got there it had been sent back. I tried to explain the situation and rather than make any effort to correct their error, I was dismissed and treated unprofessionally. The kicker that this woman who claimed to be the pharmacist asked me to leave rather than just fill the prescription called people in the cars behind me her patients. What a power trip. After multiple problems dealing with this pharmacy I ended up transferring all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They never answer the phone. One cashier with a long line snaking down the aisle. They avoid eye contact. Any other pharmacy in Norwalk is a better option. read more

My boyfriend and I just bought a drink and earplugs from the self check out. We hit skip bagging on the register and it told us to wait for an employee, so we did. A woman came over and immediately started yelling at us, waving her hands around, saying that we did it wrong and that we needed to put the items down on the sensor even though we hit no bags. I work retail myself so I understand getting frustrated sometimes but I can not imagine ever walking up to someone immediately yelling at them because they misunderstood the machine. Whomever answered the phone in the pharmacy was rude. He was disrespectful regarding a prescription I had a question about. He then hung up the phone on me. My wife called back and he began to have an attitude with my wife to where I could hear him from the couch. Terrible pharmacy service. The pharmacists are overworked. There should be more than one pharmacist on duty at any time. I had a procedure done and my Doctor ordered pain medication at 8:30 am. I don't understand why this place is a consistently awful experience. For F sake it's a pharmacy, not a cancer ward. My doctor submitted a prescription, I got a text they were filling it, I stopped in 36 hours later and "they're still working on it" but they'd have it ready in 15 minutes. 40 minutes later it's ready. I can't figure out if they hire idiots or have no organization because there were at least 8 people working behind the counter. A week later I had a new prescription that my doctor submitted electronically. I tried to call to confirm it was being filled so I could just quick stop in and pick up. I was on hold for ****30**** minutes!?!?! Christ. This place is so awful, don't go here unless you absolutely have no other option on Earth. read more

WORSE CVS EVER!!! Exception from one pharmacist and two assistants this place needs new management. I've grown accustomed to terrible service. Each time I go for pick up i pray that one of the two assistant are there and I hit the lottery if the one and Only friendly pharmacist is working that day. I was going to fill out the survey but there was none on my receipt. I went there today and it was super busy. The cashiers worked in a timely manner and were super helpful. Ruth took care of me and she was super sweet and helpful. There were 2 customers that were unnecessarily rude, for no reason, but Ruth handled them with positivity and kindness and helped them. I feel bad that strangers can be so rude to other strangers but Ruth deserves a raise. She was so sweet and now I only want to go back there if she is there. Thank you Ruth and happy holidays. Went for a covid vaccine earlier this week. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes (this included the 15 minutes of post-shot observation). The staff was extremely organized and kind. The store is clean and organized and the store staff helped me find other items that I needed. read more

The pharmacy here is the worst, absolutely incompetent. One time they lost my script, so when I went to pick it up the following day, not only was it not filled, they didn't know anything about it or where it was. They eventually found it, but made me wait hours to get it filled. The next time I went, they gave me a one week supply instead of a two week as was written on the script. They the proceeded to argue with me about it, even though they had a copy of the original written prescription. The pharmacist also thought that a prescription they had was OTC, which it wasn't (there isn't anything close to it in OTC.) Go anywhere but here to fill your prescription. read more

If I could NO STARS when rating this CVS, I WOULD!!!! Staff is extremely rude, I was on hold for 15 minutes after being shuffled to 3 different people then was on hold for another 20 minutes (which I am sure would of been longer, but I hung up) after waiting to speak to a manager!! No one in that store knows what is going on yet alone have any customer service skills!!! I am beyond furious with this place and this has not been my first encounter with the incompetence of the staff!!!! This review is for the Pharmacy ONLY. The worst, most rude incompetent staff I've ever experienced. I even overheard one of the millennial techs bad mouthing a customer that had just left. Incredibly inappropriate and just bad manners all around, behind the counter. Even worse, I need to take a prescription that for me is embarrassing. The tech picking up the bag out of the basket, looked at the bag and giggled as she walked up to the counter to give it to me. On the flip side, while leaving during my last visit I found a 10-dollar bill in the isle. I stopped by the front register to give it to one of the guys and requested they should hold it in case someone approaches about lost money, that really needs it. They said they'd put it in the safe and thanked me for being so honest. Gentlemen at the front registers, go show the pharmacy techs some manners!!!! Came to fill a prescription for my toddler who has been very sick. She had just fallen asleep in her car seat for the first time in over 24 hrs. I asked if I could get a bottle of children's benedryl as well as her prescription, explaining how I didn't want to wake my sick sleeping baby. I was told no and that I had to come in. Thanks for NOT helping out an exhausted mom and a sick child. Needless to say I did not wake her to go in and will not be returning to purchase the meds at CVS. 2 stars bc at least I could pick up the prescription through driveup. Ugh! We all know pharmacy techs are getting dumber by the year, but it's dangerous when they decide to play doctor. I have dealt with a couple dozen CVS pharmacies over the years, and this is the WORST. The pharmacy had no business interfering in my relationship with my prescribing physician, a neurologist I had been seeing since 2009. I am a chronic pain sufferer w/ multiple pain sources and he and I have developed over the years the rapport, mutual knowledge, and trust that have come to shape his plan for the management of my pain. The tx plan includes among other things, a set of quarterly painkiller scripts. Three scripts. This has been the treatment of record for a few years now and pharmacies have honored it. And why not? He's been voted a Top Doc by his Washington D.C. peer community for years. The pharmacy presumed I mix these meds. I do not. I am educated patron of these resources. The intent is that I should have a choice regarding the right dose and formula for the right kind of pain, and alternating formulas helps avoid tolerance. So what's the problem, you ask? Well, some meddling sub-mental staffer at this particular pharmacy felt she needed to play doctor/nanny/attorney general and phoned my neurologist's office to tell him she should not be filling all 3 scripts. Now if she would have gotten my doctor on the phone, he would have read her the riot act. But of course they get a front office staffer even less educated than they are, who mindlessly and slavishly (that means lazily for those of you who work in a pharmacy) acquiesced to the bully, quite possibly out of the same fear and paranoia that has gripped the nation as a whole regarding the use of substances to manage pain, depression, and anxiety. So this is what I'd like to say to my 281 Connecticut Ave CVS pharmacy: my neurologist decided I should have these medications and as long as they are filled within the designated legal window (date-to-expiry), you need to do your job and stop interfering in my treatment plans, my relationship with my doctors, and my bloodstream. The neurologist's office claimed that it phoned the pharmacy and instructed them to honor the script. The pharmacist denies receipt of said phone call. I told the pharmacist this wouldn't be such a mess if no one had interfered in the first place, and that's when she got her back up, claiming that when she takes that oath as a pharmacist she has the right to question doctor's prescriptions. When I countered that she lacked the education and the knowledge of the patient and her history to make clinical decisions, well, that rankled her hackles. PHARMACIST: "I don't have the education?! I don't have the education?!" ME: "No, you do not. Not to make clinical decisions. Not to supersede standing orders from a specialist. I could take this script to any other pharmacy -- I could take ALL THREE scripts -- to any other pharmacy, bc I have -- & they will fill it." PHARMACIST: "Then that's what you should do because you have disrespected my education." Sounds to me like her self-respect hinges on her penchant for meddling in medical affairs. Chemistry is not enough. Oh, while I have your attention, the staff here is rude, curt, brusque, and crass, and they act as though all you are to them is a slice of their busy workload -- a nuisance. I suspect they delight in telling you it will take some time to get around to filling your prescription. So if you cherish your privacy, your pharmacological resources, and less stress, I'd steer clear of 281 Connecticut Avenue. read more
