Forget this location until vaccines are finally administered. This location is so overwhelmed with covid customers, pharmacy customers cannot get prescriptions in a timely manner. Twice I have been to this location to pick up a prescription. Twice I have waited in line while inconsiderate people are allowed to pick up one Rx and have 12 items in their basket scanned and paid for at the pharmacy window. I am not going to stand in a store full of people for the 20+ minutes it takes. CVS is not interested in hiring sufficient staff to cover their operations. When I got my flu shot last fall, the pharmacist was so rushed he hit the bone with the injection. Four months I had to suffer pain in my arm, because the pharmacist is too rushed to safely administer flu shots. My tip to you, find another pharmacy. read more

After over 20 years as a dedicated Walgreens customer In LA and Palm Springs, I started having SO many problems with my prescriptions being a mess that I decided to make a change. So I've been using this location of CVS for over 5 years now and have had an excellent experience since day one. The few times I've needed to speak to any personnel, especially the pharmacy staff, they've been very polite, professional and helpful. Went to fill a prescription here and was very disappointed. As a medical physician I have some expectation of what I expect when I send patients to get medications. This pharmacy falls far below what I would expect from any establishment associated with healthcare. Staff was rude and they were unable to fill prescriptions on time. Absolutely horrible experience. Did an online appointment for a flu shot. The appointment didn't register in store although I had the confirmation. Then back and forth refilling out all the forms again, was told to wait. Waited 15 minutes and frustrated, got back in line to see when. Once at the head of the line, the pharmacist said he needed right now to take his lunch break. Seriously devoid of any level of customer experience. This review is about something more serious then myself and the service I received. While I've had problems over the last couple of years when it came to my prescriptions, not always their fault. Sometimes it was the insurance carrier but you would think they would help you walk through the process since they deal with issues all the time. Today I was horrified to watch as someone who was obviously mentally challenged ask to get into the restroom. They have to buzz the person in. This person had difficulty understanding how this door worked. The Pharmacist on duty had the nerve to say to the person "You need to open the door, we don't have the technology to beam you in." On top of that as the person was in the restroom, the pharmacist continued to repeat what he said to other employees and loud enough that while in line I can hear this. If I could give less than a star I would. I was notified by their text system that my insulin was ready to pick up. I did not initiate the med request that came from their system. But I was treated like I was the problem. The Palm Springs CVS has system problems but worse is their PR is terrible. Do not use this Pharmacy if you want reasonable customer service. Came in to pick up critical heart meds for a family member, oh but it was one minute before closing so forget it! But no one said that as I paid and until I was there with my sleeve rolled up. Problems ranging from charging me for prescriptions my insurance covered and never offering a refund until I discovered it, countless times of texting me to pick up prescriptions and me going there and then being told they aren't ready and sending me away to come back later, getting my prescription dosage wrong and then only filling half of it which in turn screws up my insurance coverage by dates and splits my prescription dosage, and finally, having a covid testing person collect blood samples from a box right near my open car window as I'm picking up my order and not waiting until I've finished my transaction! read more

I got notified via text that a prescription was ready, but that I should call the pharmacy. I tried to call twice between 5:30 pm and 6:15 pm. After navigating a monster phone routing twice, including incessant recorded messages that don't apply to me, no one ever answered the phone. I called the main customer service line and they couldn't reach the store either -- they said the pharmacy was closed (during business hours). I went to go get medicine, Then while I was there I bought my boys a couple snacks so I bought them and wanted to pull out $20. I never got the cash but didn't realize until I left so I turned around and went back but I was in pain so I sent in My 12 year old son. he text me saying the guy doesn't believe me. So I go in and asked My son who said that and he pointed to a cashier (not the same guy we had) so then the guy at the register said "you have a problem?" I said "did you say you didn't believe him?" then he said "no no I said he needs to wait for a manager". Then my son AND two other customers said no you said "I can't believe a little kid and you have to wait until the other guy comes back from lunch" then he said "no no I did not I said I need to call a manager". I told the cashier he needs to choice his words wisely and to stop lying because if everyone is saying that so just admit you said it. He said "hell no bitch." I was like "oh woooow eww how disgusting". He said "I demand an apology". I laughed and said "why". He's all "your calling me a liar and called me disgusting" I said your a grown ass adult who lied about something you said to a child. And others are saying you lied too. Then he yelled "FUCK YOU STUPID BITCH!" In front of customers other workers and his manager told him to be quite and let her take care of the situation. This place was my mini supermarket during my stay in Palm Springs. I mean, I don't have much to say, but it is all good. Whether male female, old, young, don't be shy to ask for "unmentionables". These people are friendly and are fast to help you. I was surprised how many times an employee literally dropped what they were doing and led me to the other end of the store to help me find an item. I'm giving two stars instead of one because *some* of the people who work here are nice and seem to be trying hard. If you just want to pick up an item or two, this location isn't bad, but the pharmacy is awful. There's usually a line of disgruntled customers; prescriptions generally take longer than they say to fill; and it's almost impossible to reach someone on the phone. I'd say it's more of a management problem with this location than a problem with the people who work there. I'll give them credit for seemingly solving the problem of the entrance to their store being a homeless hangout. The homeless need somewhere to hang out, but I was there one time when a homeless guy was throwing rocks at the front windows of the store. An employee said the homeless person was upset because they caught him shoplifting flashlights. The employee said she would have let him get away with stealing food, but not flashlights. I appreciate the benevolence, but overall, it wasn't a good situation for paying customers. read more

There was NO SIGNAGE for normal traffic for pharmacy pick-up to go to the 2nd lane! NONE! Common sense would tell one to POST signs for risk patients to go to the 2nd lane! All my Rxs were transferred to this so said pharmacy when my previous pharmacy closed. It has been a nightmare trying to deal with this facility. First off, they are all rude. Even more rude via phone. They knew this transition was coming from another pharmacy. That is no excuse for rudeness. It is a mess behind the counter. The labels they use on RX's are like none I have ever seen. Try & decipher it all & find the obvious info. Their shelves are packed with bags of filled RX's, thus taking up twice the space. I stood at the counter for 20 minutes before someone would help me only to be told my Rx, which was supposedly ready when I called was not ready and the pharmacist was on break. HORRIBLE PHARMACY!! RUN FROM THIS PLACE! Went in to grab some syringes for my diabetic dog. I was treated like a junkie by the pharmacist. He told me to go home and get my dogs' insulin prescription. I moved from Arcadia to Palm Springs one month ago and wanted to ensure that my prescriptions were transferred from CVS Arcadia. It took the pharmacy personnel over 30 minutes to log in my health insurance and prescription information into the system. Or so I thought! I was told that I would receive a text message when my prescriptions were ready. It was time for my refills and no text message so I went to CVS to pick up my prescriptions. I was not in the system and one life-saving prescription that I take daily was not in stock with the float pharmacist telling me that she could not dispense the one bottle she had which was EXPIRED. The pharmacist assured me that my medicine would be in the following day, and when I called I was told that it was not in stock and that I would have to wait another 2 days. I called the Indian Wells CVS who did have this particular medicine in stock and due to the dire nature of my medical condition without this medicine, the manager, Robin, went above and beyond and brought the medicine to the CVS Palm Springs pharmacy at 8:00pm. I went to pick up the very much needed medicine that night and was "greeted" by Mark the pharmacist, who had a bad attitude problem to say the least. Mark told me that since I had transferred my prescription to Walgreens he could not fill my prescription even though Robin had especially made the trip to Palm Springs. I had to insist that this one prescription be transferred back to CVS for one day only so I could take home the much needed medicine, which Mark reluctantly agreed to do. Mark loudly broadcast my birthdate and shouted over the counter: "What ever you want is what you get!" What an obnoxious "professional" to shout mean-spirited comments knowing full well as a pharmacist that this particular medicine has to be taken religiously and on time. I did respond to Mark alerting him to check expired prescriptions in the refrigerator and to have current stock on hand. I was able to transfer all of my prescriptions to Walgreens and will never return to this pharmacy again. Tracy, the CVS store manager, appears to do his best and was kind and courteous. I feel sorry that Tracy has to work with the imbeciles in the pharmacy. read more

It's not easy living day to day with a disorder you have no control over. What makes it harder is having Pharmacy staff that don't seem to care if the medication that helps you get through the day isn't ready when it's supposed to be, the doctor hasn't called, only to find the fax had been sent with confirmation of receipt 5 days prior. It's not just once, it's been multiple times since I had to change from my Rite Aid (they were wonderful) last year. Yes, with CVS, my prescriptions have cost a lot less, but the lack of customer service and and frequent feeling that they just don't give a damn is just not worth it. I'm changing back. Fast and friendly check out and a nice, clean store. The Hispanic guy at the checkout counter always tells us good jokes. Plenty of free parking, some shaded. Great location on Ramon in the middle of town. Bus stop right in front if you need it. The 1 time we did a Medicine refill with the pharmacist it was a smooth and quick transaction.
