I received an email "Your CVS photo account needs attention." The email said I would get 10 free prints, so I clicked the "Order Today for 10 Free Prints" button, uploaded my photos, ordered 10 prints ... and was charged for the photos. I wrote to customer service and to CVS headquarters asking for a refund, and got no response. (I did get 10 photos, just not for free.) read more

This review goes out to the inconsiderate, incompetent rude manager that's been working there for a long time. I don't know how she even still works there or even got hired. I came in to make return and the refunded amount did not match the amount I paid on the receipt. Instead of trying to figure out what the issue was, the manager didnt care and spoke with her rudeness stating she cant do anything about it. Honestly, if you're going to act like a B%#@$, why even work for CVS that deals with CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope upper management or corporate see's this review and terminates her. Somehow, every time I have the misfortune of going to this CVS location, there is someone having a heated argument about the refund policy, or why their card/food stamps/etc has been denied, or how their appointment was mysteriously rescheduled, etc. Such a magnet for mishaps! The staff actually mostly seem nice, but the checkout line does move at the pace of molasses. It always seems that every second person in front of you in the line is convinced to fill out - at glacial pace - the interminable paperwork that signs them up to the rewards program. Eek! read more

Cvs caremark is cold hearted and not customer oriented. My wife is trying to get medication to save her eyesight and they are illogicaly refusing to authorize the drug she has already had good results with. They want her to try other drugs when she has already tried 3 drugs for her eye injections. Very poor intelligence there that does not have any flexibility or solutions that work for you. read more

Please be aware that you cannot trust this pharmacy to dispense the correct medication. I went to pick up my 9 year old daughter's medications (she's a type 1 diabetic) and when I got home I found her insulin label affixed to a box of eye drops. This should never, ever happen. My mom was a pharmacy tech for 40 years and saw this happen only twice in her entire career. When confronted, they blamed a rotating pharmacist despite the pharmacist that I was speaking to's name on it. Then a tech was blamed. Then the CVS system. It was an absolute mess with zero accountability. There as failure on multiple levels and I would NOT TRUST this pharmacy or it's staff with my medications. read more

Updated to add: as of 10/9/2023, Walgreens in San Carlos carries the approved rsv vaccine for pregnant women. This review is for the rude woman working at the pharmacy. I came in today with a prescription for the new rsv vaccine. She immediately dismissed me because I didn't look old enough, without considering that I am visibly 35 weeks pregnant. Then she argued that my prescription wasn't valid since I didn't have a hard copy without asking if it had been faxed to their system. Then finally she actually looked at the prescription to tell me they didn't have the same vaccine. A kind pharmacist came over to explain that they couldn't give me the vaccine since it didn't match the prescription. The end result is understandable (although frustrating, not their fault). This review is due to how I was shocked at the level of how rude and dismissive the woman at the counter treated me. read more

Came here intended to get some candies today (Sunday, Oct 27th, 2019) at about 3:40pm. My baby was napping in the stroller, so I was pushing her slowly. All of the sudden I heard someone behind me said either "go" or "just go". I turned around and saw a CVS female employee gave me a look and walked right passed me looking rushed. I was thinking, there's tons of space elsewhere to get through, I was slow but wasn't slow to the point where you can't just wait 30 seconds. Purely rude for being an employee here. When I walked towards the front, I saw she saying bye to other employee at the register and excited to walk out to her man. I could see how edger she wanted to see her man. CVSs, which used to be Longs or Payless Drugs, usually depress me. But this spot was nice and shiny. We came here (actually my husband) to get something for his aching feet and he found what he was looking for. I appreciated the fact that the store was pretty well stocked. Usually these stores have empty shelves, sections of shelves/displays, etc. And it looked well cared for. I also noticed that I probably wouldn't have needed to wait for a year, wandering around looking for someone to help me. We did find someone to help us find what we were looking for. This store and more than one person stocking shelves. Need I say more? Probably not necessary. I wish all CVS stores were like this one. read more

He could've easily said "sorry, we're closed" and turned me away but he didn't. He stayed and let me purchase my meds when he didn't have to and that shouldn't go unnoticed. I've never left a review for for a store like CVS, but after a terrible experience I feel obligated to leave a PSA. I regret that I am required to leave one star. This is honestly the worst CVS on the planet. Don't take your photos here. You will never get them back. They never notify you when they're ready. And if you go to check in person the photo center will refuse to check and will literally shout at you to get in the general goods line. Then you have to wait in one line with everyone else who isn't picking up photos just to check if your photos are ready. When you get to the only cashier who is checking people out, the cashier then has walk over to the photo center and check if your photos are ready while everyone else in a long line waits. It seems inefficient to have someone stand at the photo center just to shout at people and refuse to help them. Stay away, far far away. read more

Worst customer service ever. We had 2 appointments for covid shots today. They called and canelled one but not the other for "unforseen circumstances" which translates they won't take cash payment for the shots. What? A store won't take payment? This is utter BS as I know others that have gotten their covid shots from CVS while having Kaiser. Also, calling and cancelling the same day is also BS. This pharmacy gave my girlfriend 3 bottles of my prescription when only 1 had been prescribed then I received an automated call later telling them I needed to call my doctor to ask him to order a prescription for the medicine they already dispensed. Okay fine. Well one of those bottles was 1.5x the dose that I am prescribed. I took it for a week without knowing and experienced uncomfortable side effects. Better than expected, I was able to easily locate the pharma product I was looking for and when still in doubt, the lady from the pharmacy gave me some time to answer my questions. This CVS looks a bit dated but it is very conveniently located, is full of everything (so chances are you will find what you are looking for) and people are nice. Just no easy parking there, that shopping center is always packed and is difficult to find a spot. read more

As soon as I walked into this store todaybI was met with a smile from the cashier. Not my typical CVS experience to be honest. I've never been in this particular store before today. I walked down an aisle and a young lady was working away on shelf strips. She greeted me so sweetly and with enthusiasm that it stopped me In my tracks! She made sure I had what I needed & we shared a giggle around my indecisiveness. I felt seen, heard and served. Her customer service skills were beyond anything I'd expected! Took me an hour waiting for my prescribed medicine in person. I feel something was wrong here that the process was not efficient. The line was long, the staff looked busy but every case was just processing very slow. When I checked the reason why I needed to wait for an hour for my medicine, (they said they needed to call the insurance company), they said it's because of their system's errors, but no body said sorry to me while I was waiting with a baby. What could make me even more upset was when I got home and realized they forgot to give me one medicine! and again, when I called back, the lady who picked up the phone didn't apologize at all. Very reluctant that I need to visit the store again to pick up the missing one. My advice is visit other pharmacies in town. I was giving it a try because I want to grab things at Trader Joe's nearby. For the waiting it's not worth at all. I would visit the one at Middlefield Road or others next time. I believe even though I do so and come back for TJ, I still will save more time. read more

I'd leave 0 stars if I could, came in to get medicine for my sick wife and was verbally accosted twice by a manager who couldn't even be bothered to wear her name tag. This review is strictly for CVS store front, not the pharmacy area. Being under the weather, I was sick and silly little me went to get some Gatorade. More like overpaid for it $6.95 for the huge liter. But I didn't care. My body needed electrolytes. I did not pay attention to the expiration date. Bought it, along with a thermometer. After a few days of recovery, I've noticed the date on the Gatorade, expired on Jun 2013... Hmm.. wait, aren't we in August right now?! Doh! I took it back to the store and spoke to the staff regarding it, she told me to go ahead and grab another one. I went to the shelf and guess what I see? More of the expired Gatorade. I took the expired ones up to the front counter for the staff, and exchanged for the new one. The staff was friendly. She did not give me a hard time. So far, everyone at this CVS is friendly. I see why this location has poor reviews. I went to the photo counter to get a roll of film developed. Nobody was there. Lady at checkout spot #1 sees the film in my hand and tells me I have to wait in the checkout line. Strange. But okay. I wait about 10 minutes in line. Gentleman working lane 2 calls me over. Long story short they can't develop the film, didn't really explain why. Something about red envelope. Didn't really understand and didn't care to ask. I tell the lady, I wish you told me the photo area was closed before making me wait in like. Looks at me like I'm the assh*le, and says she didn't know that's what I wanted. Why would I go to the photo counter with a roll of film if I didn't need something photo related done? Her name tag was covered by her jacket, by the way. Find a different CVS location, they will waste your time here. read more

Worst CVS ever. Extremely rude customer service, I get better service at the CVS in Oakland where I use to live, and that's saying something. I Went in today to get a few odds and ends, and I was having a fine day before I went in, not anymore I'm not. Lady didn't even say hello, rang me up super pissed off and sighing loudly.... Then at the end she didn't ask me for a bag, so I asked for one. She angrily said " I asked and you said no " ( she did not ask, I have an excellent memory and a bad back so I can't carry items singularly) . I apologized and said I must not have heard her. She laughed at me and then said " yeah well we are supposed to charge you for the bags. "Uuuuh? Okay then bag police???? Then the new hire on the cashier one over asked her for help and she angrily told her no and to figure it out herself. I feel sorry for any new hire and any customer going in there. 0 stars if I could. Stay far away from this CVS. It's giving nightmare back rooms vibes. If I remembered the lady's name I would report her for terrible and rude customer service. I was polite and easy going and I don't need my day ruined by some angry cvs worker who clearly hates her job and anyone who goes in there. Failed to get prescription after two visits and multiple calls to my provider. My provider had sent them a changed prescription electronically, but they claim to have not received it and failed to be convinced after many phone calls and a long waiting time. My app that interfaces with the provider clearly shows the changed prescription and they confirmed on phone that it had been sent. read more
