Holy underpants this pharmacy sucks!!! It walks like a pharmacy and talks like a pharmacy, but the pharmacy on Doc McStuffins would provide better service. I moved to Pasadena in October and transferred multiple prescriptions to this location. Since then I have had an issue with every Rx I have needed filled. Every flippin prescription!?! I have been on multiple medications, some for a decade, and I have never had the amount of issues I have had here in two and a half months. Every flippin time!?! Routine medications challenge them, communication is an afterthought, they insulate themselves from phone calls by having a ridiculous phone tree & alleged call-back system, God help you if you need a controlled prescription... Rania (Sp?) is the only pharmacist that actively worked to resolve other pharmacist nonchalance and utter incompetence. My doctor's office sent over a electronic prescription for antibiotics and Prednisone,which was promptly filled This was at 3:30 on Saturday. I didn't have a ride to the pharmacy,and I no longer drive. I picked delivery from store as my option for receiving the prescriptions. The screen said the medication would arrive between 9:00-12:00 on Sunday. The medication did not arrive until 3:30 pm, which means I didn't get to start my antibiotics and steroids until the late afternoon. If I had known that the order wouldn't be delivered until late afternoon I would have seen if it would have been possible for a family member to pick up the order I also think $9.97 is alot to charge for delivery read more

When Rite Aid closed all our prescriptions were sent to this CVS. we were disappointed because this store is much further away for my 94 year old mother-in-law, and apparently they became much busier due to the influx of new prescriptions from their previous competitor. The first prescription picked up was in a pill bottle not only child proof, but also elderly proof. I called them and went through all the hoops to reach a live person to ask if they could make note in her records that she needs the alternate prescription bottle that allows her access to her medication and was assured that this was possible and they had updated her records for the future. My Mother-in-law couldn't take her medication again because her refill is impenetrable for her when they refill. It's sad read more

Shopping in Pasadena, California... Do you know how challenging it is to find a postcard these days? I guess people aren't into snail mail in this modern age of texting and email... However, there are some old school people who still enjoy receiving mail from the postal service - especially if it's not a bill or advertising! I thought that CVS would have postcards, but... no. I'm a regular customer at this CVS and have been coming here to fill my prescriptions for years. But today was extremely disappointing. I asked to use the restroom--urgently--and instead of helping, the staff looked at each other and simply nodded "no." It didn't feel like the bathroom was truly out of order; it felt like they just didn't want to bother. I had to leave all my items behind and walk out frustrated. As someone who consistently supports this store, I expected more consideration. This experience made me feel like being a loyal customer doesn't count for anything here. I'm seriously considering switching pharmacies to one that respects and accommodates regulars. Customer care should go beyond just filling prescriptions. read more

This time I have been waiting for 20+ days and they just keep saying it's out of stock, but I keep getting notifications that it's being filled and can pick it up. Ordered a customized mug that was promised to be ready same-day. I got an email that said it was ready for pick up. We came into the store and was told it wasn't ready, they don't know how to print it, they don't know how to refund me, they don't know when their manager would be in. I get it, maybe it's a new thing and they didn't get training yet. But then why send me an email to pick it up? I told them right away that's it's fine, just please give me a refund. But they don't know how to process a refund from an online order. And apparently from the staff talking, one of them could've told the manager, who does know how to do it, last night, but "just didn't do it". Meanwhile, there was a line racking up behind me and their backup cashier for checking items was slow. Lots of things wrong with this store. Communication, training, problem solving. I will give 2 stars just because the shift lead (or supervisor) tried to do it and after ~40 min we received it. read more

I am a Physician Assistant working in home health. Upon interacting with DAVID at the pharmacy on the phone, I found him to be rude and unhelpful. First he wouldn't accept all the information and reasons given for requiring a patients medication list as patient is recently blind and was unable to gather all his medication on my visit to his home. This information is crucial for me to give proper care He insisted on bothering the patient for permission even AFTER making me give all information of patient care teams and my own licensing information. Then, he refused to process any prescriptions I wanted to order for the patient insisting he gather all my supervising MD information. I do NOT need authorization from a supervising physician for me to order prescriptions, and have NEVER had so much difficulty doing anything for a patient at ANY pharmacy. I will be recommending ALL my patients use a different pharmacy from now on (and I have HUNDREDS of patients). Your bosses can thank YOU DAVID. You are an insult to the medical field. read more

Friendly staff especially at the front cashiers. Pharmacists are hit or miss on the friendliness aspect. Parking lot and facade/pharmacy frontage is always filthy. Almost always transients present at the front too. Trash cans overflowing 99% of the time. Very bad, especially for a company directly related to health and wellness. Avoid. If you are sick and trying to communicate with the pharmacy by phone, you are in for an exercise in frustration. You can't get directly through ever, and the call back time varies from an hour to many hours. The pharmacy staff I spoke with was rude, impatient and uncaring. I will definitely not use this pharmacy again. Not recommended. read more

Absolutely awful service at this pharmacy. When I asked for a rough estimate on how long it would take, I was told, 2nd hand from the pharmacist, "it's going to be a while". So I asked if I could at least know if I would get my medication today... and the response I got again was, "it's going to be a while". There is always a line to pick up your medication and you can wait up to one hour but they will always have only one person to provide that service. In case you complaint the pharmacist will give you a very bad attitude and make you feel miserable. Unfortunately is the pharmacy listed with my Dr and closest to my house, but definitely will look for somewhere else. The treatment is very disrespectful and you are obligated to wait because you need your medication. Avoid the bad time if you can. If it was zero star will give it. read more

Just a terrible company all round, doesn't matter where you live. I used to have my FSA card on file so they would use it automatically every time I picked up one of my husbands many prescriptions. Not today. Apparently CVS changed the policy about a month ago & did not tell their customers. As this was my 1st non-zero cost prescriptions since the change I only found out today when I couldn't pick one up. I was told I have to download the app & can store my card there. I am not interested in their stupid app. And what about the elderly who may not have a smart phone? So now we all must carry our FSA card whenever we go there as we don't always know which prescriptions have a cost & which do not. I hate carrying that card. If I lose it its got quite some money in the account. Actually, now that I think about it, I hate CVS. read more

Very unprofessional considering were calling from the hospital to aid mom whom took time off work to get her child's meds! So we came to the pumpkin patch here in the parking lot and then headed into CVS with my wife and 2 year old daughter we needed to use the restroom and change the baby as well and the manager (lady) told us they don't don't let the customers use the restrooms........ I'm absolutely dumbfounded as to this. I told her we needed to change the baby and she shrugged her shoulders. So I asked for a number to someone higher up and she said you can call 1800cvs. I guess it's time to call the city and whoever els I need to to get this resolved. There are very few times when I am completely shocked by customer service. Today, I had to stop by the pharmacy to pick up some medical gloves for my mother. I was not in the mood to stand in line and do any type of price comparing. I was a bit excited because I remembered to bring my long list of coupons this time. After ringing me up, the manager, Martha, said that for some reason the coupon for 30% off would not work. She tried again and again it did not work. She apologized. I said that it was fine and to go ahead and charge me. The total came out to $57.00. Pretty expensive for plastic gloves, but I was in no mood to haggle. She then saw that the numbers of the receipt was the same and the one I showed her. She then took it upon herself to take the receipt and punch in numbers manually. Martha then told me the total was $8.05!!! I was in shock. She smiled and said that she was sorry that it took so long. I was/am so thankful. I didn't ask her to do that, but she took the time to help me. I want to thank you Martha for making my week. Its been rough, but your kindness will go along way!!! Thank you!! read more

worst branch in the worst Pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Not just this particular store but CVS as a whole. They never answer the phone. You get the runaround trying to get anything filled. They are frequently out of medications. The website is atrocious and confusing. They are also a horrible company that doesn't value their own employees, or their customers. The first problem is the with store manager Armand. Rude and unprofessional on the phone, argumentative and refuses to take any responsibility for the employees in the store. Refuses to give his supervisors contact information but have no fear I will get it and will be pursuing action against both him and the store, both publicly as well as with licensing and regulatory agencies that oversee their practices. I will be filing complaints against CVS with the office of managed healthcare in Sacramento. I will also be pursuing filing a complaint with the regulatory agencies that oversee the pharmacy. I don't walk away from a horrible experience like this. These people left me without my medication and never lifted a finger to notify me that I would need to get my doctor to call it into another pharmacy. That is a dereliction of their professional duty that borders on negligent and should incur consequences for the pharmacy with regulatory agencies. I guess I'm supposed to wait until I go into withdrawal. The Pharmacy knew they couldn't get the medication in time to fill my prescription and not one person bothered to notify me until I called asking about why it was taking so long. I was immediately put on hold before I could say a word, and stayed on hold for the five minute drive it took to get there, and the seven minutes that I stood in line and watched them continue to silence my call whenever it would ring again. Wendy needs to go back and take a few more pharmacy technician classes because she had the audacity to speak out her read end and tell me she couldn't transfer an antibiotic prescription to another pharmacy if it's a cvs which is a LIE. You can transfer that prescription to any pharmacy in New York if you want to. The worst cvs I've ever been to. No ones ever working and the staff is beyond slow. Lines are always sooooo long.

I recently broke my hip. I was prescribed a pain medication. My husband picked up the meds. The next morning I looked at the bottle, and it said the count was 40. There were 20 in the bottle. We called the pharmacy and spoke to Chad. We just wanted to relay the facts, but Chad immediately got defensive, accusing us of dropping them, losing them, repackaging them, etc. That they have a system of dealing with controlled substances. We could not get a word in edge-wise. All we wanted to do was report it. So, getting no answers, we reported the matter to corporate. Not a lot a lot of luck there. My husband had to call the pharmacy on an unrelated matter and was put on hold. Chad picked up the phone and accused my husband of calling corporate. My husband tried to explain the he was calling on a different matter, but once again, could not break in. He finally got frustrated and yelled, "godammit, let me speak". At which point Chad told my husband he was "uncomfortable" with dealing with us and that we should pick another CVS and he would have our Rx's transferred. Which is fine! This person has absolutely no business being in the job he is in. He is unprofessional, rude, and frankly, his behavior was disturbing. CVS Corporate would do well to have a look into who they have out there as the "face" of their company. read more

Really not impressed with this CVS location. It's always understaffed, and today it's 110 out and their air conditioning has it close to 85 in the store. The store nearly empty given how big it is. The store itself always looks dirty, and the hand baskets are just gross! Management must be blind by how unbelievably filthy they are.
