It's a good car wash if you have a light layer of dust, nothing more. Don't expect a 100% perfect wash. Also, you will get water spots, even with their spot free rinse, but it's nothing some products from AutoZone can take of All in all, temper your expectations, and you won't come out screaming Bloody Mary. The car-wash is touchless but the payment module outside the entrance doesn't read cards properly. There is no sign in advance notifying you of this. Pay inside to get a code on a receipt before otherwise driving into the queue and getting stuck. The dryer also has no countdown timer so you have to kinda guess your dry time. I've been coming to this service station most of my life and have known John since before my ex-wife worked here when she went to PCC in 80's I go here often to get a touchless car wash in between my hand washes. I have nice car with a mat finish paint so it's easy to scratch. In the course of getting my car wash the automated arm after making three circles smashed into my driver side mirror. It didn't do any damage, but I went inside, out of courtesy and concern to make them aware that they were having some malfunctions with the wash. Rather than listen to what I had to say, manager, by the name of Nial (I think) started to argue with me, for no reason. Telling me that it could never have happened. Then go on to tell me that even if it did, happen, they weren't responsible because they have a disclaimer! He went on to let me know he's been working for you for 28 years and there have been many people take you to court over damages to there car and they have always lost! John your manager is an A$$h@LE, causing a problems where there wasn't one to begin with. You have a big PR problem with him. Terrible customer service and incredibly overpriced gas. Avoid at all costs. I went to this gas station last night to put air in my tires because the tire pressure light in my car came on. I asked the attendant to turn on the air and he told me no, it is $2. I told him that in the state of California gas stations are required to give free air and water. He told me he won't turn it on unless I buy gas. I bought $20 of gas (that I was going to buy anyway after I put the air in my tires) and went back get the air, but by the time I did someone else was now filling up their car with air. I had to wait 15 minutes for no reason. I try to avoid this Chevron because it is always incredibly overpriced, but I still end up filling up gas their out of convenience. I've put thousands of dollars in gas in my car at this establishment over the years, but now I'll never go back again, on principle. read more

I've been getting car wash here for a while now. It's affordable and I only needed exterior car wash anyway. Recently they upgraded their machine and it's easier to use than before. The new machine is touch less with no brush/bristle on your car. The line can get really long depending on what time you come here. If I see a long line I just skip it and come back on a different day. You pay at the machine at the entrance line and move your car forward to start car wash. They helped my children realize their life-long dream of driving through a car wash. Seriously though, when we showed up the car wash was being repaired. Since I had promised the kids we were doing this as an activity, we elected to wait for what turned out to be almost an hour, as the repair technician worked on it. Never written a review for a gas station until now! Best staff ever!!!! Brandon and Brandon helped me feel safe when I was feeling dehydrated after attending a long event. Gas stations are notorious for charging extra for convenience and they usually aren't the first place you think of as a safe place to be. This gas station saved my life today with their overpriced Advil but it was 1000% worth it!!!!! I was at a live taping of America's Got Talent, when I left it was super late, restaurants and pharmacies were closed. I was feeling very sick and dehydrated, so I picked up drive thru food from McDonald's (normally I don't eat there) and then I stopped at Chevron to buy Advil. I let the cashiers, Brandon and Brandon know that I was feeling dehydrated and asked them to keep an eye out for me bc I was going to sit in my car to eat after I take the Advil. My mom was on the phone with me just in case anything happens and I airdropped my location to her (that is how bad it was, I needed to make sure I was safe before driving). I closed my eyes and one of the Brandon's came outside to check on me. He asked if I needed anything, told me the store would be closing at 11 but I could stay as long as I needed to. His kindness of checking on a customer meant the world bc I felt very weak. It took 40 minutes for me to feel better and head out. Any Chevron is my go to gas station I use. I will drive extra just to find one. We passed by this location and my daughter wanted a snack. We stopped by around 3:45-3:50pm and had the most horrible customer service I've ever had! The old man who works there is super rude!!! I will never go here again!!! (If it wasn't for my daughter I would have walked out there without purchasing anything) My Smart Water rang up more than what the tag said. I brought it to his attention that there was a sign saying the water was buy one get one for $1. He said the fine print said it's the litter Smart Water. Why on earth would you put that sign where they have just smaller water bottles in the front towards the register. I told him it was misleading and tricking people to spend more thinking they were getting a deal when they weren't. I would understand if they had other sizes right next to the smaller ones. He started raising his voice at me saying he can put the small sign wherever he wanted in his store. Blah blah trying to talk down to me the customer. I do not need to be treated this way. So I said Okay ring me (I did give him attitude for how he was raising his voice to me) It is not okay to try and trick the customer making them think it's one price since the small sign was right in front of it. So that just goes to show me how they are swindling people for their money. I'm calling Chevron headquarters letting them know what type of people are representing their company. Giving Chevron a bad name for having people who clearly do not know how to speak and deal with customers. Also when you are in a hurry and grabbed it fast that's why they do this. Long lines sometimes, but make sure you go inside and purchase a wash first before going to the line. The wash regardless the level you get, doesn't take care of harder dirt so get a microfibre cloth and clean off those harder dirt spots. read more

Most of the negative reviews on here seem to stem from a misunderstanding of what a gas station touchless drivethrough car wash is supposed to be. This is not a substitute for a real car wash and it is not supposed to be. If you are expecting this to be comparable to a real car wash, yes you will very disappointed. That is your own fault though for having unrealistic expectations. If you are expecting this to be what it is, a cheap and quick way to spray some dust off your car between washes, it does a perfectly adequate job of that. read more

However, the guys behind the counter are always nice and helpful, it's a solid gas station market with all my favorite snacks and drinks. Reality: You get what you pay for. The car washes are cheap - $5.99 on up. And it's good for a quick rinse and that's it. My real beef is with the vacuums. There are no brushes or nozzles on the ends of the vacuums, which usually help bring up embedded dirt on your carpet. Instead you have to press the round end of the house together to try and get them to reach between the sides of your seat. It gets up 80% but you might as well give up and find a car wash that is willing to pay an extra $3 for the hose attachments. Pretty ridiculous. Only reason I came here was because I'm new to Pasadena and haven't found a car wash yet. This place sucks. One bonus however - super clean restrooms which are appreciated! read more

I have been to this car wash plenty of times before however, my most recent experience will be the last. 1. The wait was soooooo long. I waited about 25 mins. 2. When it was finally my turn, the machine did not work. It told me to back up so I did.. but it did not start. I drove back and forth the lane just to try to find the start sensor... nothing. 3. Since I did not receive my wash, I went inside and asked for a refund. UNFORTUNATELY, they have the world's rudest employees who responded "have you been here before? Do you know how to use it?" Yes.........bro! And they further continued to insult me by saying that it was my fault that others are calling for help. As a manager myself, I feel that this is not the correct way to respond to a customer, EVER! I just went to this Chevron to use the self-serve, drive thru car wash--which I have done several times since March 2020. When I came out of the car wash, the high-powered blowers on the passenger side of the car didn't work well leaving my car still wet. I went inside to speak with manager. He wasn't there. When I complained about the situation, I was first offered a free car wash to use within two weeks. That wasn't something I wanted to do with again with a broken system. I was then offered a refund. But I also said to Javier, the attendant on duty, that it was just fixed. I asked if I could show him. He said I can show you the paperwork that proves it was just fixed. I again asked him to come out and see how wet my car still was. He again said it was just fixed. I told them I think it's poor customer service if they were just going to let people pay money to go through a broken system and not close it until it was properly operating. Avoid this car wash. Come early for the car wash - there are people there in line (crazy) but the wait isn't long. Can purchase at the front of the wash entrance - no need to go inside to buy a ticket (like I did -- I was about to go in the line by the car wash entrance, but I didn't want to hold people up if you weren't able to buy there -- so I dashed inside to get one w/ a code that you enter upon reaching the machine. There are 4 different types of car washes to choose from: (If I remember correctly, these were my options) $5.99 $6.99 $7.99 $8.99 I should have gotten one of the higher washes since my car was SUPER filthy with dirt, bugs, water marks, other weird colored things... I can never tell the differences though with what does what for your car, so I just got the least expensive one, lol. I love being inside car washes. I remember when I was a kid, the place my Dad would go to had this rainbow soap which made me feel like I was inside of a butterfly or rainbow... I want to experience that again, but I have no idea what type of car wash that was... lol. Anyways, this one lasted no more than 10 mins I feel like... there were still some parts (like the front of my car) that were dirty -- bugs from driving up and down CA. I'll probably try one of the others next time. Don't forget a towel or two to help dry your vehicle right after :] If you forget or don't have one -- there are paper towels by the gas pumps, but that would take longer and might scratch your car? The guys who scrub the cars are great. But this is the slowest car wash on earth! You can have two cars in front of you and it takes 30 minute. it's too slow to be an "auto-car wash."
