This store was great for years. But if they're going out of business, why not just say so? Going there now is a waste of time. Some aisles have entire shelves empty, been that way for a long time. They haven't restocked food/drinks in months. Pharmacy is OK if you don't mind standing in a long , long line. I moved any prescriptions to a new pharmacy. Guess I'll have to find a new convenience store. Too bad, as this is close by. read more

This CVS location is one that I frequent since it's conveniently located on Sierra Madre Blvd. I've never had an issue here and have actually enjoyed stopping by here whenever I need OTC analgesics or other meds. I like this specific location bc they're always well-stocked and I'm always able to find the meds I'm looking for. This is significant bc other CVS locations in the area that I've been to usually are out of what I'm looking for. read more

From the time I walked in I didn't see any employees on the floor. I did see 2 cashiers behind the counter. Since everything is now locked, I needed someone to unlock several cases in order to buy my items. I told the cashier I needed them to open several cases. He told me he'd be right with me. After waiting close to 15 minutes, I left. I went to another CVS on Arroyo Blvd and had a similar experience. If you lock up your inventory, you need to hire additional sales people to unlock cabinets. I think I will buy my products online from now on. read more

Where are the workers. Early am I'm standing at the register.... No one in sight , I'm yelling " hello " hello" no one. Customers are walking around no one there to assist. I continue to the self check out , mind you I was looking to purchase gift cards as well but since cvs doesn't hire actual people. Will go elsewhere for that purchase . Long and behold comes an elderly lady that works there, with no concern what so ever. Didn't offer to help me or a man in line with his arms full of items. Please explain how this ok??? This is by far one of the most frustrating CVS locations I've visited. If I could post a sign outside that said, "Save yourself the trouble--go elsewhere," I would. The lack of customer service, efficiency, and basic helpfulness is incredibly disappointing. It feels like there's no leadership, no accountability, and certainly no sense of urgency or knowledge among the staff. I gave 2 stars because I feel bad for their one and only cashier who was literally drowning because no one was helping her or teaching her how to do things. This is my go to location for many years and I absolutely loved this CVS! Not to mention how efficiently they are connected with all my health care providers, In addition, they always get their jobs done right. On top of that, workers are always so courteous and the store is kept super clean. :) The pharmacists team are amazing here . They work great under pressure & they are able to get your prescriptions ready quickly per your requests . I have so much respects for the pharmacist's dedications! Thank you again! I wanted to leave a review for the pharmacy, but also to give a shout out to Hike who went out of his way to help me with a somewhat complicated prescription my doctor had sent in. I was extremely sick so to have him help me get clarification from my doctor for the insurance approval in order to get my medication quickly meant the absolute world. I am very grateful for his help. Generally I have had a positive experience with CVS pharmacy and find the staff to be kind and really make an effort to keep things running smoothly. The only time it doesn't is usually the fault of the insurance company or CVS operating systems which the employees cannot be held responsible for. read more

I was in town on business, and I was suffering from a cold that day. I made a quick stop into this CVS to get my secret weapon: Sudafed. There is a large parking lot at the back of the building, and finding a parking spot was no issue. I walked in to a typical-looking CVS store. I made my way to the back, presented my ID, and bought my Sudafed. The staff here were friendly, and I was in and out in no time. I was doubly glad that my cold symptoms were relieved, and I was able to go about my day feeling a lot better. read more

This CVS on Sierra Madre has been a staple for many years. The exterior is slightly dated but it's ok. The store itself is pretty big compared to some in the area. This is one of the CVSes that I'll drive past frequently so I'll pick up my pharmacy orders here if I'm coming in this direction. I typically don't have to wait too long to get my prescription especially if I let them know I'll be waiting in store and they'll try to accommodate me ASAP. Nothing too great or bad to report on. It's a standard CVS and it's what you expect it to be. Staff is friendly and the store is well maintained. Parking: the parking lot is fairly large so you shouldn't have any problems finding a spot. read more

Friendly staff, easy parking, and your basic CVS. Many shelves have been empty for awhile; they say it's "supply-chain issues." The parking lot is very dark at night. On a recent trip I counted no fewer than 12 lights out in the lot. When I mentioned it to the clerk, he shrugged and said, "Yeah, I know." So bring a flashlight. read more

Have been here a few times over the past few months and my experiences have been great. Def a dated exterior building, looks like it may have been another retail store in years past, maybe a grocery store??? Products are always immaculately displayed and organized here. I'm always greeted when entering the store (which is a nice thing). This location has a neighborhood-y vibe that is very nice. Large parking lot in the front. This location is no worse than any other CVS, but it's also no better. CVS, the corporation doesn't care two s___ts for their pharmacy customers, and they force their employees into that same mindset. Nothing is actually done locally. All the orders and renewals are handled via the corporate-controlled automated system, and that system has NO connection to the local stores. Twice now I've gone through the automated process and have been told by a recorded voice that my prescription would be ready on a set date and time, only to arrive at the store to be told that I have no orders ready. When told of the automated message, all they do is say, "Do you have a copy of it?" and then point out how they have no control over the process. One time I even got a message to pick up at a time when the pharmacy was not even open! This past visit the rude person behind the counter printed out some slip of paper that said my prescription was filled in a different store entirely and would be shipped to this one next week, so there. Mind you, NONE of this matched what the automated system told me. CVS to customers: "____ you." Unfortunately, CVS and the other big chains have put the independent pharmacies out of business, so there aren't many options left. Yay, for American health care business. read more

I'm going to let you in on a secret, the CVS is perfectly fine. It's functional, I've been going here for years now, there are hardly any problems. I fill about 10 prescriptions each month for my family. I can't take them to CVS near my home because they don't understand customer service. They're either trying to save me money by giving me generic drugs which I didn't ask for or they're losing a Covid test that I needed for a trip. Either way If they close this location it would not be a loss because they've been open probably more than 10 years and they just can't get it together. I can't complain about them to corporate because I can't find any competent person to complain to. It's impossible to even call the corporation so I really hope they go out of business and a better company comes in to replace them who actually cares about people. They're so bad they just don't understand what they're doing? They called me in the morning to tell me the medicine was ready, and when I arrived in the afternoon they told me I would have to wait an hour, and then they passed the buck and said it was a system failure. But five minutes later, I was told that I could take it, but another type of medicine was missing. They are chaotic from supervisor to employee. Don't come here! ! ! read more

I've been going there for years since I live close by and she's never been nice but today she really helped me with her eyes closed like she was bothered to be helping me. During the pandemic, I've been to CVS more than normal. I have found the staff to be very helpful. There are many demands on them: no stock, but we need more; limited quantities to purchase, we complain; then they get tons of stock and need time to put it away, while we all want just specific items and keep interrupting them. I went to Cvs on a Wednesday morning in late January to use my 40% coUpon. The store didn't have any lines at the registers. The aisles are clean and nicely stocked. I end up picking up tide pods $4.94 and bought coke 12 oz bottle and total paid $2.94 (40% coupon and $1.00 cvs reward). I had to wait few minutes for a manager to come to the register. I always fill my meds at cvs at my local pharmacy, however there's one medication that brought me to this location to fill. Sabrina, in the pharmacy dept. is the best cvs pharmacy staff I have ever come across. She was so nice, courteous, and helped me out a lot. Often my doctor offices say they send prescriptions through to cvs and for whatever reason, cvs doesn't get it. It's hard to know if it's on the doctor's end or cvs end, or with some doctors not being set up on electronically. When one of my doctor's assistant told me it wasn't her responsibility to call cvs for me in a rude manner, Sabrina at this cvs said she would call for me and sympathized with the fact that I don't have a lot of time. She took care of it and even called me back before she left her shift for the day so that I can be at ease. I told her it's truly the best service I've received from a cvs pharmacy staff! read more

After testing them out again for something impossible to mess up (pre packaged inhalers) I was able to trust them again. I do believe there has been a significant change in the staff here. Things are much better. I even trusted them to do flu shots for the family this year. I appreciate that they took my criticism to heart and made appreciable changes. I am specifically directing this review at covid -19 testing offered at this location; the location was convenient and the young man running the testing was great. HOWEVER: DO NOT GO HERE FOR PREFLIGHT TESTING! we were told it would take 48-72 hours to get our test results back. We never received the promised email with link to set up an account. We researched and did this ourselves. On day 4, after we had already went with a different company, and got our test results back in 2 hours, our cvs results came back. This time frame is useless for travelers or anyone gainfully employed. Do NOT recommend. read more

Wife needed a PCR test to board a flight overseas. The law says the test has to be within 72 hours of boarding. We made our appointment at this location and showed up on time to find about 6 cars lined up still waiting to be tested. I knew we were in for a long day just by the looks on their faces. The woman who is administering the tests is sitting at a table in the parking lot on the phone with IT support. The reason for the delay is supposedly because the printer is not working. People tell me they've been waiting for over an hour. There is no traffic control, no one telling us to form a line, no one telling us what the hold up is. I understand that the broken printer is out of your control, but please have a shred of compassion for the people who have very important plans depending on this time sensitive test. God forbid you try a little harder to get the printer working. Or maybe you can administer all the tests and print out all the results later? The woman could not care less about getting the printer fixed. She was not trying at all. She was on speaker phone with IT and they were asking her for the IP address of the printer and she couldn't even put her smoothie down and even look at the printer, she just said "WHERE is that on the printer? I don't know where it is." Rolling her eyes, like it's ridiculous. This woman showed zero accountability for her job and offered no solutions for the situation. Just said that her manager decided to shut it down. We wasted 2 hours waiting all because they couldn't get a printer to work. They couldn't reschedule us or send us to another location, nothing. Just see ya, I need to take a lunch break, so good luck with your life. Appointments were booked full for the next two days at every drug store in town and we were royally screwed. read more

The pharmacy staff is super here. If you go any time before 3, pm there is hardly a line and everything moves really fast. Picking up prescriptions after that mean a wait of 10-15 minutes. I have never waited more than that. The Pharmacy staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. This is not a 24 hours pharmacy and closes at 6 pm on Sundays, 10 pm otherwise. I come here mostly because of the niceness of the staff and the convenient location. I left my FSA debit card here once and within 15 minutes, they called me and told me they will keep till I can come and pick it up. I went the next day and they were really nice about it! read more

You never know what you might need after eating some luscious dumplings, but CVS has it. It's an interesting location, for sure, but there's plenty of parking, spacious and the staff is helpful and funny. The CVS stores near me are not nearly as friendly, accommodating, and involve long, long waits. One could die of heartbreak waiting in line at the CVS in Los Feliz, and Burbank. Seriously, one day after a super long wait at Urgent Care, I noticed we all just migrated to the closest CVS for another super long wait.
