Very convenient gas station located in the middle of Pasadena and fairly close to the very busy 210 freeway. Gas prices are higher than at other gas stations, but not by much. The one thing I didn't like was the aggressive panhandlers asking for money while I was pumping gas. My head was on a swivel the entire time as I had three panhandlers approach me during my brief visit, asking for change. They may not mean harm, but one never knows. This is no fault of the gas station, but it did make my visit a negative experience for my family and me. read more

The price is the only reason I'd go now if I really need gas right away. I'm frustrated because, in 2024, they suddenly decided not to provide water to clean the car windows. How come you go buy gas and don't have the basics to clean the windows? Why? When I confirmed it was on purpose, I decided to switch to another Arco that has even better prices than here. I told the cashier I asked for (A) lottery ticket not eight . instead of giving me what I asked for both the cashier and manager became hostile telling me I said eight , I told them they both who are of Spanish speaking they heard incorrectly. I came here just to get coffee before spending a day at the nearby courthouse. They have a plethora of coffee creamer flavors! French vanilla, hazelnut, half and half, irish cream, espresso shot, Reeses, caramel macchiato, Peeps, Cold Stone sweet cream, and Hershey's chocolate caramel. I complimented to the cashiers that this was the biggest variety of creamer I've ever seen at a gas station, and the lady there said that's all due to her. She's a big fan of coffee creamer! So am I! Their coffee selection is: regular, Columbian roast, robust, and decaf. If I get called to the courthouse again, THIS will be my go-to for coffee. They charge for 10 cents for a bag .. Bad business. I am not a fan of places that charge extra for a bag for items I just purchased. I am told this is normal in California; but none the less I don't care, I expect a free bag when I make a purchase of several items. I purchased a Monster and asked the cashier if I could use the restroom to which she told me someone was occupying it. It turned out that "someone" was the ignorant, prejudice owner. I asked him if I could use the restroom, and he told me I couldn't because I was "from the streets" and only customers, which I was, could use it. I told him I was since I bought a Monster there, and he still didn't believe me and kept being rude before trying to disallow me back into the store and trying to kick me off the premises. After discriminating against me (since I was black) and confirming with the cashier, he tried apologizing, but I returned the Monster and got my refund instead due to his poor behavior. As I was leaving, he was trying to kick another black man out of the store. Apparently, this guy stereotypes, and assumes because you're black, you don't belong nor should you shop there. This is definitely the cheapest gas in Pasadena and I would highly recommend it on that front alone. However, it is supposed to be 'enter only' on the Los Robles side and 'exit only' on the Walnut side. More than half of the time I go there, a person has entered the wrong way and causes a huge traffic jam/problem because they are going the wrong direction. This means that everyone has to back up so that this person, that obviously doesn't understand what all the big directional arrows on the concrete mean, can exit through the 'enter only' area. It frustrates me every time. I suggest going during off hours so that you don't have to put up with the directionally challenged drivers. read more

Cheapest gas in all of Pas!!! I'm a regular here, just never checked in before the other day... This is the CHEAPEST GAS in ALL of PASADENA!!! Pros: cheap gas... usually 20cents p/gal cheaper than any other place from Old Town to CalTech. Cons: It is VERY HIGH volume. There are 2 entrances and 1 exit. If someone decides to go in through the exit because they don't realize the long lines on the other side are where you are supposed to enter, it slows things down and pisses everyone off!!!! THERE IS ALWAYS A LINE!!! I heard that back in the seventies there were long line for gas... I think this place is as close as you can come to reliving those days. It is absolutely common for the line to be 2-3 cars deep at each pump and there are a couple of times where I've been in line on the street. Great gas station! It is a large space and it is convenient to get near gas pumps! It is also in a safe area, being next to the police department. The AMPM is full of a big selection of snacks and goodies. Also, the condiment bar for the hot food is very clean. The staff and the owner are really helpful and polite. Yes, gas is cheaper here. All arco will only accept cash or debit card with a convenience charge of 45 cents. It's a mad house during peak hours. Do not go during peak hours for the love of God. It's only one way and people are backing up their cars depending on where their gas tank is located. It's insane here. Can't beat the prices at this location. It's gets full pretty fast so try to get there before traffic rush hour. Some folks try to come in at Los Robles which is not the entrance. Gas aside, this is the only 24 hour store anywhere near here, and the only "liquor store" open past 10pm or so without driving towards Rosemead. They keep their refrigerators a bit warmer than most, but I guess cutting costs there saves overhead on gas, etc... It's nothing to hate on, but worth noting if it's a hot summer night. read more
