This is an excellent CVS to stop by on my way to school if I need to pick up some things to help me stay awake during a grueling day of classes! Upon entering, you almost have to do a double-take to make sure you didn't stumble onto the set of a zombie horror (Unless when you're ready to pay, then customers start coming out of the woodwork, or in this case...the graaaaaaaaave.) . I seem to go during "non" peak hours, because there is only ever one or two people working in the entire store. Always plenty of accessible parking, and easy to get in and out of the lot. read more

This is my favorite CVS in the Pasadena area. I used to live walking distance from here and came all the time. Now I live closer to the store on Foothill, but still make the drive to this one. I like the openness of this store, which used to be a Sav-on, compared to the stores just built as a CVS. So much bigger than the newer ones. The pharmacy personnel are great! Very knowledgeable, and quick. It never takes more then 20 minutes to fill a prescription. The front end staff have never been anything but friendly to me. read more

Terrible service when filling prescriptions. Cannot fill emergency medication in an timely manner. They play the blame game and put it on the doctors office when they never even reach out to the office. If you need vital prescriptions filled don't rely on this pharmacy. read more

Suggestively racist. They didn't even have the stones to be honest about it. I was looking for specific things, and the girl in front indicated they didn't have things without even looking in the computer. This after a call for security to the front when I was the pretty much the only person in the store who could be considered a threat. As I came to the front she looked at me and mumbeled "Oh that's why" and when I asked her what she said she tried to glide right over it. Then to find her and the "security" (which is pretty much them sending the biggest brother they could hire) staring at me from the cash register while I shopped and neither even close to offering to help me find my items. To see the security walking with the dust pan only in the aisle next to where I was to then give up when I moved to a different area to find what I was looking for. I went to CVS for 3 items the internet said they carried, I walked out with 1. If I ever come back into this store it will be to catch your racial profiling, horrible customer service and racism on camera for what I hope will be a damning law suit. To the security you seem like a capable brother you could do something that pays better than this that isn't you being the hammer for a racist management and staff. SEE YOU SOON read more

I tried to make an appointment on-line (9/09/22) for new covid vaccine. Went through all questions and then at end dumped me out with "We're sorry! This information is currently unavailable." Obviously, no fun for the programmers to tell you that at the beginning--better to lose 15 minutes of your life. So I called the pharmacy (in Target in Pasadena on Colorado) and asked if they had vaccine. They said yes. I asked to make an appointment. They said they couldn't do this and gave me a number--1-800-shopcvs. I called this number. After a while the person said I was not eligible for the Pfizer vaccine--it was age restricted to 12-18! I told them that was false, but they wouldn't schedule an appointment. Went into this CVS today (9/14/22) and was told I couldn't get this vaccine without an appointment. I explained the above situation and how I couldn't make an appointment They refused to give it to me. Don't use CVS. They are complete garbage as a corporation. read more

I came in for covid testing since i needed to be clear to return to work. Last minute i found this location and and it would take 6-10 days for results. After 10 days i tried calling and they said to call a number for covid testing. That number was a recording saying its not cvs fault that tests are taking long because of the companies they are using and it most likely would take more than 10 days. Its not day 20 and still no results. FUCK YOU cvs minute clinic for false advertising and not even having the balls to talk to people. read more

I have no idea why I always come here when Walgreens is only two clocks north. CVS is notoriously known for being a pricier drugstore, and this place is no exception. I come here when I need something small and don't want to drive a few extra blocks to Walgreens or Target, even though those places have the same items for a fraction of the cost. To me, Walgreens' prices are typically 25% cheaper. I came here to pick up my printed photos. I placed an order last night to have it picked up the next day. I received an order completion email early this morning, so I decided to set out to pick up the items. I went to the photo center, and they said that they didn't even print the order yet and the system just sends automated emails even though the order hasn't even been started yet. I only had a few photos so I decided to wait for them to be printed while I shopped around. I came back to the photo center after 20 minutes and she said the photos still were not complete. Keep in mind I only have two photos to print because they are passport pictures. Usually, that would take less than five minutes to print. She ended up having my photos ready after another fifteen minutes. I suggest if you are ordering photos, be sure to call in ahead to make sure that your order is actually completed. Also, she was really rude throughout our entire conversation and kept putting the blame on other people. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for many years, and when this" one time" in January 2018, I asked Linda,the pharmacist to call my insurance for a vacation override's prescription, she's not really there to help you . She was so rude to put the phone down before I finished the conversation with her, and didn't put any note in my file about this issue. The next day I spoke to Samantha, the other pharmacist and finally, She resolved it and I got my prescriptions. That's a big relief.... thank you so much, Samantha. I usually carry around my sister's CVS card 'cuz we usually go there together, but this time when a manager at this store saw me carrying both, she gave me an attitude saying that if she saw me holding both cards that she would confiscate my cards from me. And on top of that, I have a tendency of getting attitude from the employees from this store. What's up with that? See my reviews from before... I called in asking for the new medicines name that my father is going to pick up but the male staff rather wasting time to tell me how busy they are instead tell me the names of the medication. He's attitude was very nasty and he give no information or even have the decency to try to help. I'm very disappointed at this pharmacy and it's unprofessional and unhelpful staff. This CVS is in an interesting location. It actually stands out since it is on Sierra Madre (in the middle of a Pasadena). I pulled up and had to grab a quick item- the first thing that caught my attention was how big this CVS was. I think it maybe a slight optical illusion though since the ceilings are so high. But there is plenty of inventory for most of the goods you will need. However the wait was literally five minutes in line. It wasn't the checkers fault, I really felt he was doing a great job but it seems like the customer was confused and didnt know how to use the debit swipe. I think they need to staff the front counter better with at least one more cashier at night. read more

This CVS is really small and tucked away in the house-lined street of Sierra Madre Ave. Points for never being busy, but when it is Flu Season (which it is) and meds are flying off the shelves, this place tends to be severely understocked. One day.... Your boyfriend gets sick and needs Flu Medication. You go to this CVS to get Tylenol Flu You can't find Tylenol, because there's nothing left, so you go home with a generic brand. Your boyfriend is mad because he can't take the generic brand. You both argue which leads to fighting. You both fight over the fact if you are fighting are not. Your boyfriend says to forget it and you go to the gym angry. Dont go to the gym angry. ...just go to a bigger CVS. read more

CVS is around the corner from me so if I need something in a hurry, this is where I go. It's not a cheap drugstore but they'll have coupons/sales every once in a while. I also go here to print photos on the kodak picture maker kiosk and it's usually pretty quick. One of the things I don't like about this place is the fact that their food doesn't sell often and one time I bought wheat thins and they were about to expire and were terrible. :( Just make sure you read the expiration dates and be cautious. read more

If you are trying to get tested to go to Hawaii DO NOT GO TO CVS, ESPECIALLY THIS CVS. Our test didn't get back in time after paying $139 x 2, exactly 72 hours before our flight. You cannot get a hold of anyone who can help. Zero customer support and the run around of who to talk to. ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT PAY THIS PLACE TO GET TESTED IF YOU NEED A RAPID TEST RESULT. Small and usually isn't as busy as other CVS stores in the area like on Granada/Main Street and Valley/Fremont. Their staff is usually friendly, but there was one time when I forgot to bring my reusable bag with me inside and I was buying a lot of little things. I tried carrying it all in my arms and hands, but they started spilling out of my arms. The cashier just watched me and laughed...without offering me the basket or shopping cart back at least to carry it to my car and then bring it back... Sorry, the rating went down at least two starts because of that staff member. read more

I used to work at this CVS so having seen both sides I understand why there are many flaws. Employees try their best to accommodate the sales when they can, for every coupon that doesn't scan or punch in they get a mark on their record and in trouble if they punch in too many coupons. So don't be hard on them! For coupons sent to the card usage is limiting. I've noticed their adapted attitude is to accuse the customer of either using the coupon already or the items simply do not qualify. Even if you refresh the app and explain the sale to them. They all seem to just quit even if you followed all the rules to use the right coupon. They do not bother to look at the coupon on the CVS app, they don't check to see items qualify, and they simply state the coupon is not there. As an ex-employee I would automatically call my manager after making sure the purchase does in fact qualify. Even managers are guilty of this behavior and makes me wonder what corporate CVS has on them. Finally this particular CVS borders San Marino a very affluent city. They consistently mark up items 50 cents to a dollar more. Particularly beauty products! So if you aren't shopping that weeks sales go to a different city! read more

I'm here all the time. Well, maybe more than most. I love this convenient location and it is across the street from preschool I went to many years ago. I think more than anything it gives me a warm feeling of nostalgia having traveled that road so many times. I always find what I need and the parking is convenient. It does feel slightly pricey but I think that's a commentary on corporate rather than the location etc. I'm happy to pay the extra $.25 or whatever it may be because the employees and manager are always very nice and very helpful. I kind of feel like this CVS is my personal location! Really love the spot. read more

It's a CVS so keep your expectations reasonable. The speed of service has improved since Walgreens moved in a few blocks to the north, but some days it can still be inexplicably sloooooooow. I went to this CVS location because I spotted an item that was advertised in the Sunday paper. I walked in and it was no where to be found. The shelf was bare where it should be. I asked a clerk and was told to see the manager. Why the clerk did not know was a surprise to me. I met with the manager and asked him. "We are out" "Can I get a rain check?" No. No? This used to be a really good CVS. Unfortunately, the service and the store in general have deteriorated a lot. They have a lot of new staff in the pharmacy and in the store. Lot's of the pharmacy staff as well as the staff at the check-out counter are not knowledgable and not helpful. Lot's of shelves are empty and disorganized. I will say the staff (some) are polite however the pharmacy sucks! Incredible long waiting time with 3 people in line. They call to remind you to pick up prescriptions , that's cool, and when you give a date for pick up, they say it's noted. So 3 phone calls later asking the same thing , my request is noted. So why is it when I go to pick up my prescriptions, they are sent back, there aren't any notations from the 3 people who called. So now it's the 10 minute waiting game 20 minutes later, as I am still waiting. Ugh! read more
